now that natlan is out it's tsaritsa yearning hours again because i am one nation closer to either being horribly disappointed or foaming at the mouth!

creator!reader w a little side of conflicted tsaritsa is such good food I can't not yap about it. a woman who has dedicated so much of her life to severing herself from "love" of all kinds and succeeding and. just being so confident that when she meets you she's bitter and angry and mean. because she can't stand you. she isn't supposed to love yet you worm your way into her heart anyway and you don't even know it.

especially in smth like an imposter au. she tells herself your just a tool for her to use but your treated like the Divine you really are, pampered and spoiled every step. tells herself it means nothing when she indulges you – let's you hold her hand in private, eventually let's you move aside the veil, just a little.

and she hates it. hates how easy it is to let you break down the ice she's built up for years.

all you do is smile and she feels like she can't breathe. because despite how violently she rejects love in all aspects, it always bleeds through eventually. she despises it but the way you brush your thumbs over her cheeks makes her bitter and warm and it infuriates her to no end.

i know a lot of people feel safer with other trans people, but honestly given my experiences i simply don't. they have just as much potential to use your identity as a weapon to disrespect and abuse you and it gives me no peace of mind to know i'm with s trans person. todays "oml i love my bf" is tomorrows "idk i just kinda think your [whatever gender they want me to be instead]"

and i know thats dumb bc like who cares lol but idk. i have a non LGBT bf rn who isnt the most educated on the community (but super supportive, i'm not keeping him ignorant. he is respectful and very open minded.) and he is the sweetest person i ever met.

like theres something so sweet and wholesome and just HEALING about being in a relationship with someone that truly cares for you, not in spite of but WITH your queerness and all. its beautiful. and the fact theyre not LGBT just adds a layer of "i am not only lovable by people who experience the same as me" that makes me feel so good man.

idk this is dumb but basically: the dynamic of cis x trans culd be so good yall really sleep on it. everyone heres that and has the same stereotype in they head they have with bi womens boyfriends.. its gross!! queer people are capable of being loud and proud while in a relationship with someone who isnt queer. queer people can be in a relationship with a non queer person snd be loved.

Other observations are just absolutely FASCINATING to see Guanyin orchestrate everything. She’s the one that suggests Erlang. She knows how to get Erlang to go fight SWK because you bet that dude ignores summons from his uncle. She knows how to peak his interest, knows he won’t kill—did you know he wasn’t trying to kill monkey king? Most of the other people who fought him fought with the intent to capture or KILL but Erlang just wanted to fight. Also dude the way Erlang’s strategy was at 500% I could ramble on about how the fight went because it was like, Erlang tells people where to go and what to do, then goes to fight. Monkey King matches everything he does until his monkeys get scared and then he’s APPALLED by that and starts running away. Erlang chases him, monkey king just LEAVES the entrapment, goes and pays Erlangs house a visit, Erlang pulls up, fights him all the way back to Flowerfruit mountain, then tells everyone to stand on guard, all his guys make a circle around them fight ring style to keep monkey king from escaping and they go back to fighting. Guanyin looks down and goes “ohhhh y’know I’d love to help….. I’ll throw my vase down….” And Lao Zi steps in going “Nono your vase will break I’ll do it.” Dude it’s SO WILD how she orchestrates everything. Bro hits monkey king in the head with his bracelet (diamond snare,) monkey king gets bit by dog, then gets tied the heck up and stabbed and they gottem. Like….bro, and then Erlang’s like y’all go home i got this I’ll take him back—DUDE MY MIND IS WHIRLING, listen this is a really really good book y’all should read it. I’m just rambling this isn’t a real analysis post or anything I’m just WOUGH BRAIN FULL, Guanyin is the source of so many things, she’s the reason Sun Wukong was captured, the reason he’s alive, the reason he is freed later, she’s his defender, his doom, she’s where he goes when no one else listens to him, she’s the reason he started a redemption without him knowing, i’M THINKING REAL INTENTLY ABOUT THIS. I don’t remember which translation this is but OUGHHHH it’s crazy.

Spoilers for Mouthwashing and Of Mice and Men (Book)

Just a random thought I've had about the scene where Swansea mercy kills Daisuke... It reminds me a bit of the scene in the book Of Mice and Men I read a while ago, specifically the ending where George shoots Lennie.

Its been a few years, so I might get a few details wrong (I'm not going to reread an entire book right now asjdajs) but basically George decides killing his friend Lennie would be a mercy compared to what would happen to him if he was left alive. He doesn't want Lennie to be scared, so he distracts him by talking about their dream, and making Lennie look into the distance.

The circumstances are veerry different (Daisuke is bleeding out, Lennie isn't injured as far as I remember...) but idk. It reminds me a lot of how Swansea tells Daisuke to close his eyes (so he can't see the axe coming) after going on a monologue about how Daisuke could never have turned out like him.

Anyways, just a similarity I randomly thought of! I doubt it's a reference to the book since this is probably just a common trope that comes with mercy killing in stories, but idk its been on my mind for a few days :P

Faces I feel like you can build off of the same sort of base but I think the actual shape of the face defines it more than switching around stuff like eye shape and all that

And another thing is I like to give characters defining features that I always draw them with, but it isn't necessarily the feature on its own that has to be defining it can be that feature mixed with other features on the face that make it unique

Been working on another Rafayel + MC drawing for DAYS. I’m not even finished with the sketch, and I’m out here with a backlog of drawings I wanna make… A kinda, maybe, sorta (just barely) spicy drawing ft. Raf and MC from Yesterday’s Catch-22, 2nd person view of Spidey-Caleb holding a bouquet of sunflowers, pt II of my ongoing drawing (Raf and MC with body paint), MC and Sylus dancing together, and more (ft. all the other LIs). Maybe in that order, maybe not… we’ll see.

At some point, I might ask the girlies for screenshots of their MCs, cuz I might get bored drawing mine over and over… and maybe an aesthetic they like/their fav LI, if I’m feeling generous.

So anyways… all of that is coming. Eventually. Probably over the course of the next month-ish. Unless things don’t go my way and my art history research paper kicks my ass… depends. And if I’m even still into LADS by the time I start making my way through these drawings.
