And when asked to think of the injustice in life. Instead of (just) thinking about what was done to him, he thinks about how he's treated his friends. That his help may have hurt them even if he didn't intend it to. That his holding on to them may just feel like smothering.

When given free rein to act out any revenge he would want, all he wants is the very best for the ones he loves. Even if that means they want something that would hurt him.

So today I had a nurse pop by for a home blood draw and Lance was adorable and seemed to understand that this wasn't a regular visitor because he immediately shifted into work mode even though he wasn't wearing his vest.

After a brief moment of appreciation and pats from the nurse Lance asked to jump up onto the couch where I was sitting and immediately settled with his head in my lap while the nurse drew my blood.

Normally this dude would be beside himself trying to become a single entity with a visitor. And it's not like blood draws make me anxious or anything either! They don't bother me in the slightest. I can only assume he associated the smell of the equipment with being in work mode (he'd come with me for blood draws a lot to donate blood when I was still allowed to do that).

this may just be me being a yibo stan but i like this part, he arrived in the facility and it was time to eat. he was even giving the plate, letting people line up first so they can get their food “you first, you first” he says. he goes to the back of the line so he will be the last. he does not have separate food because he is a “celebrity”. he has always been like this, even if organizers will ask him if he has food requests, he doesn’t give any, he just lets his team get him something simple.
