She’s 24 years old and Raymond’s student. She moved to Connecticut from the midwest to pursue her life-long dream of being a mortician. She fails the entrance exam twice before getting in. She’s being financially supported by her parents, but they’re slowly backing out of supporting her so she works at a diner where she gets bullied lmao (also not so coincidentally the same one Raymond goes to often)

Something I’ll never understand is preferring s1 shiv. Yes, she appeared to be very functional, independent and was successful outside of Waystar but she was also…very underwritten before 1x10. It’s like they didn’t know what to do with her besides the whole overused cheating storyline with Nate, and I hate him so I skip all of their scenes when I rewatch s1.

Meanwhile, S2 turned her into the most complex character in the show and nothing compares to her in that season.

I like how some people insult Cinder in my inbox or some of my old posts like she's not one of my favorite RWBY characters lmao.

She's a bad guy. She's sad. She's cute. She's hot. She's one of the strongest characters. She still loses most of her fights against other maidens. She's cool. She's a loser. She's hot. She's a girlfailure trying to be a girlboss and succeeding sometimes. She's a great villain. She cries if someone yells at her. She's hot. She is a very complex character who only ever saw the worst of humanity and was utterly failed by the only person she probably ever truly trusted, thus becoming the person she is today since nobody ever actually helped her. She's voiced by Jessica Nigri. She's hot.

There have been a lot of negative posts about how this season turned out bc of the rat grinders exclusively and everyone is entitled to their opinions on the season. But in light of it, I’m gonna throw out some positives about this season 💖

Sophomore year will always hold a special place in my heart because of the Fabian arc but Junior year might be my favorite fantasy high season overall. I loved learning about Ankarna and Cassandra. I thought I’d be bummed out not seeing some of my fave npcs but the downtime mechanic and the stress tokens added sO much. The Porter & Jace reveal was incredible. KRISTEN’S CAMPAIGN ARC!!! Fabian and Mazey!? K2 and all the blimey shenanigans 👏 Everything with Wanda Childa and Ruben and fig’s complicated women podcast was sooooo funny. I genuinely laughed harder this season than I have with any other d20 season I’ve seen.

I feel like with this season they really hit their stride with pacing too. It felt a lot more fluid with how we rolled into combat most of the time. I loved that first party of the year and seeing Adaine become the party wizard. After ep 18 it makes me love the party with the Oisin missing his shots so much more bc he got in that nasty little one liner later. I adored that the rat grinders were essentially a red herring to keep the bad kids looking elsewhere to take the heat off Porter and Jace a bit.

We didn’t see much from all of them, and we didn’t see nearly enough about Lucy, but I really loved the Rat grinders as in school rivals for the bad kids. Ruben was hands down my favorite but goddamn did I also love how much of a girlfailure Kip was. I loved seeing her rage out and I hope we get to see her really go nuts in the finale too. I really really warmed up to Mary Ann last episode with her tugging on Jace’s shirt and saying she didn’t feel good and then seeing her rage when her strawberry got destroyed. She’s so fascinating to meeee. I loved everything with Buddy and Kristen. I wish they had more scenes together. And while I’m talking about the Dawns, that entrance from Bobby Dawn as the new cleric teacher made my skin crawl in the best way. I loved Kristen calling him frumpy and sad on her teacher evaluation too- and holy shit Fig meeting Ankarna for the first time? Ankarna being the inspiration Fig needed to make music again too?

The incredible art from Cait May this season was hands down one of my FAVORITE d20 artist collabs ever. Just overall improved designs for everyone that just make so much more sense for their characters and art for new characters that made me adore them even more. Also holy shit the Porter maxi is genuinely my favorite mini that’s ever been featured on the show. I’m typically not into how the minis look in general, they always look a lil goofy to me but goddamn when they hit, they fuckin HIT.

And speaking of Porter, I really got endeared to him this season. Yeah he turned out evil and always has been a dick to gorgug and is definitely a shit teacher, but before the reveal I loved his training with Fig and Zara. One thing about Fantasy high is that I just love a lot of the teachers. My two faves this season being Terpsichore and Henry! They’re both so dedicated to their students and are such a specific type of teacher that you’ve definitely met before in real life. Like all my favorite math teachers back in school were so much like Henry and that made me love him even more.

Of course my #1 favorite thing about the world of Spyre is the religion aspect and how Brennan and Ally both approach it. That scene with Ally connecting with Yolanda and Lucy to allow them some comfort in the afterlife was so beautiful. Kristen’s talks with Bucky throughout the season were very touching and hit very close to home as someone that grew up in a religious household and doesn’t connect with the divinity I was raised on. Just- wow wow wow. I also really love that despite the breakup, Tracker and Kristen still have really interesting convos about divinity even if they don’t agree.

I loved seeing different dynamics in the bad kids too, I love the huge sibling energy that Fabian and Adaine have and the bond that Kristen and Fig have. I love how interwoven all the bad kids feel as a group. I love the little quirks that they all have, and I loved all the fandom posts about them like the sharing clothes posts and the one about how everyone lets Riz crawl on them to get better vantage points. I love Riz’s wall of text breaking down to gorgug about how much he appreciates him. Him calling gorgug a sweetie almost made me cry. I of course love all the parent/child moments this season. I loved the bad kids finally healing Lydia and seeing how happy it made Ragh. I LOVE Aelwyn and all her cats 🤧 I loved seeing Baron again and I loved how the bad kids got to the funhouse version of mordred through riz’s briefcase. I love seeing Adaine and Sandralynn bond. I loved finding out that Sandralynn and Sklonda go out for drinks and are friends. I just 💖 and goddamn, Ayda’s message to Fig and how Zara helped to surprise Fig with it. I love how Bill and Pok are such proud dads of their boys and I hope they’re doing some bonding over drinks in the after life.

And I cannot end this post without saying that I loved how cinematic this season felt too. It had INCREDIBLE imagery that you could easily visualize. Everyone at the table was in their element this time around from a role playing and a strategic standpoint. Everyone had their moment to shine and something important to do this season that fed back into the main plot. So thank you to Brennan and the intrepid heroes for giving us another killer season. After the season ended I was planning to finish Starstruck and Neverafter but I might just rewatch Junior year all over again just to get it out of my system.

i've been thinking a lot about absolute loser girlfailure rhiannon... especially if you're her coworker and she's trying everything to get you to notice her. she starts bringing little notes wishing you a good day with your morning coffee and complimenting your haircut and each and every time you reciprocate her affection (even something as small as saying you like her outfit) she's giggling like a schoolgirl and her face is beet red. i just kind of need me a little loser lesbian and rhiannon is so little loser lesbian to me

you’re new at the gazette, but you fit into the work environment so effortlessly it would piss her off if she wasn’t so down bad for you.

usually, the only thing that distracts her from her boring everyday life is, well, killing people. you quickly become the only exception though: seeing you first thing in the morning is almost as thrilling as stabbing someone, rhiannon finds. could she just approach you and talk to you? technically, yes. and is she going to do that? absolutely fucking not.

for someone who can take a life without batting an eye, rhiannon is so insanely awkward when it comes to you, it’s pathetic.

every tiniest bit of your attention has her heart fluttering in her chest and a stupid grin forming on her lips. you’re praising (and by that i mean briefly complimenting) her work? she’s a nervous, giddy wreck for the rest of the day. you walk past her desk, smiling in greeting? she’s fucking melting. it’s like she’s only there for those little encounters.

rhiannon knows you’re kind to all of your coworkers, and yet she still tells herself this is different -that your lingering attention on her specifically is something you do on purpose.

rhiannon, who stalks finds your socials, learns how you take your coffee and your favorite breakfast, then brings them to you every morning, claiming that these are her personal favorites too and brushing it off as a coincidence if you do ask about it!!

most of the time, she just leaves them on your desk and quickly rushes off to avoid getting caught. you do know it’s her, of course: rhiannon is the only one who constantly compliments you for the most insignificant things in passing, and whose eyes you can feel on you more often than not without her ever approaching you.

but two can play this game and you’d be lying if you said you hadn’t noticed the pretty, if just slightly awkward woman by the receptionist’s desk. confident that she is interested in you too, you start doing the same for her: telling her that you like her outfit just to watch her turn red and giggle when she thinks you’re no longer looking. buying her coffee during your lunch break and watching her puzzled expression when she finds it waiting for her because she’s not used to this kind of attention herself…

rhiannon who spends her shifts googling stupid shit like “how to make a move on your crush” or “10 best pickup lines” or “would my coworker think it is inappropriate to ask them out on a date?” and panics when you walk over to her as she’s actively…researching. she’d try to close the tabs before you can see but fails miserably. there’s no way you haven’t seen it. god she’s pathetic, you love it <33

How Allison Cameron would react to a reader who has low empathy

Warnings: Cameron being a little insensitive at first due to ignorance, general warning for her guilt trippy/overly judgmental nature (which I personally love tbh but that's just me), brief mentions of death/sickness in a medical setting/context

A/N: this is partially based on the opposites attract trope but I mostly just wanted to write something with Cameron being her pathetic self /affectionate

Honestly knowing Cameron she would most likely be pretty judgmental of you at first I'm not even going to lie, probably even going as far as to avoid you unless it was absolutely necessary to work together

This would only be lessened some if you were her superior or someone who she looked up to in general (basically someone like House)

Even then she'd still be a tad bit wary of you, probably assuming that because you display low empathy you don't really care about other people

Obviously that's an outdated stereotype that doesn't apply to every single person with low empathy but as someone who wears her heart on her sleeve for everyone to see she'd most likely buy into it

It's only when she sees you comforting the family of a dying patient that she realizes you actually do care, just in a different way that she does

She does her best to put her preconceived notions about you to the side so she can get to know you better, and finds out that you're actually a decent person, if not the best

Sure, you struggle with empathy and displaying your feelings in a way that seems genuine, but it doesn't make you a bad person. It's just the way you are

Realizing she made a mistake when it came to judging you before she even got to know you, she for sure goes out of her way trying to make it up to you, even if you insist it's fine

She gains a new perspective and a certain amount of respect for you after that- and if you want to go down that road, maybe she even goes so far as to forming some sort of crush on you like she did for House, though whether it's because she actually likes you or because she thinks she can "fix" you is up for debate

Like, first, she is just so pretty obviously, as every final fantasy girl ever is, and as a Turk she's always so dapper in that little suit prrrrrrrrr. But I love her because she is so confident that she can kick ass, and she does! Not against Cloud but still. But that whole persona is so fragile and just CRUMBLES when she loses to him

And like yeah I get it, she's new and inexperienced so she has more to prove, but she was still so smug even after her defeat, like she still won

But my girl was DYING in Junon

Don't mind the filter and frame, I thought it was fitting but look at her!! She's actually the biggest sopping wet cat ever. "Leave me alone, I'm too busy being sad" coupled with the head on table and margarita?! She is the model of all sad sore losers, the patron goddess of shattered egos

Yeeesssss, ofc you can draw showtime. I will clarify tho, Caine has a very different personality than the circus, carnival, and such.

I've turned him into girlfailure/malewife and actually Pomni is the one with more fire.

The personalities of all the cast are a little different with my AU.

Caine - Very timid and polite to a T. Bit of a nervous wreck at times, but keeps a strong head. Bully him enough and he'll hit back.

Jax - Laid back but does his job. When it comes to the train he won't mess around. Keeps to himself most of the time. (not a jackass)

Pomni - Stubborn AF. Is determined at the best of times and recklessly impulsive at the worst.

Zooble - Think dad when he's fixing something and needs you to hold the flashlight steady. They're rather unbothered most of the time.

Gangle - Actually, she's a lot like Circus Gangle if you get rid of the anxiety. Very talkative and enthusiastic.

Kinger - Librarian vibes all around. Wise old man who is there. Not much else. He seems a little tired.

Psyche Greek Mythology is such a good character and also such a girlfailure that I’m surprised she isn’t everyone’s favorite woman tbh. She’s the hottest person to ever exist, So beautiful that Aphrodite herself became jealous, but she’s also a loser. She is stumbling her way through life until she tries to throw herself off a cliff. Actually she tries to kill herself like 4 separate times throughout the story. She was so desperate for any sort of connection that she fucked a guy she physically could not see (that she was also lead to believe was a hideous monster). Her only positive platonic connection is with a wind god who is only here because he’s on parole for killing his crush. Said wind god also gives her a kill assist for her two sisters after they warned her about the dangers of having kids with a guy who even the gods fear. And yeah, they’re kinda bitchy about it, but you didn’t have to murder them about it girl.

She tries to kill her invisible man husband, fucks up, then does cinderella ass chores and impossible feats of stupidity assigned by her mother-in-law (who is Aphrodite btw I forgot to mention that her invisible monster husband is Eros) and succeeds only because multiple people are cheering her on just so her rancid vibes leave their general area. Also she’s pregnant throughout all of this. She’s also stupid enough to open up a box given to her by the queen of the underworld, but honestly I’ll give her a pass on that one just because I doubt she had a clear mind after the looney-took trials she was put through. At least she got resurrected at the end. That’s pretty cool ig.

Anyway she’s my queen and I need to see more content of her fumbling the most basic of things.

asmo is genderfluid and i think he'd use she/he pronouns. (we could also argue bigender asmo because that'd be cool also)

he/they transmasc mammon. literally they/them'd in a call and i saw a transmasc mammon headcanon and i think abt it all the time now.

it's been discussed here before but levi is nonbinary transfem. she uses they/she pronouns and i will die on this hill. also uses some type of neopronouns. gamer girlfailure /j (might be femcel. idk it might be the amount of times they use "normie") (i'm in love with her)

belphie is too tired to give a shit about gender. he says "no" if asked. they/it/he maybe. probably uses star/starself neos too cuz that stuff rocks (agender belphie anyone???)

beel uses any pronouns and doesn't rly label his gender i don't think. never really gave it much thought probably but i don't think he cares. love them lots. :3

i don't think satan really cares about gender either BUT i think he could identify with catgender (he/cat pronouns (maybe more) he'd use cat-centric neopronouns this has to be canon)

nonbinary lucifer is canon on my SOUL. they use they/she/he pronouns because they can and will.

solomon uses them all. every single pronoun. they've lived so fucking long that they just said "fuck it" or something and claimed all of them. he made the genderfluid in his cauldron and promptly drank it. uses neos too but there's a lot that fit here. maybe it's all of them too. i do think xe/xem (and other variations) are used though because i said so

i don't know if angels have a concept of gender or not. they/he simeon though something about him is nonbinary af luv u simeon

i'm not sure for luke because he's like... 10... but again idk if angels really have the gender concept at all (probably not they're supernatural beings. they all are actually). might be a mainly he/him user but doesn't mind it when other pronouns are used. idk the gender because hes a child but maybe he'll figure it out later in life cuz rn he's worried about baking really good treats for michael

last but not least the characters they refuse to add to the system (please im in love with thirteen please PLEASE):

the hc that susie & bandana dee have this parent-child dynamic will never die in my heart, i imagine that ever since they met for the kirby battle royale trailer they've just had this sort of friendship

like i imagine susie would cut & peel him apple slices, pack him lunch with all his favorite foods, provide him spare change in case of an emergency, celebrate his successes no matter the size, excessively worry about whether he's wearing enough/had enough sleep/eating well, or provide him guidance if he's struggling with something --generally things that are similar to how a parent would care for their child (this is from the perspective of someone from an east asian cultural context where some of these actions that appear odd are very conventional ways of displaying affection from parents)

it's cute & she does these things because she can see a lot of herself in bandana dee (the girlfailure) & wants him to have the opportunity for, if not a normal, then at least a happy & safe(r) childhood unlike the one she got

Vulnera Sanentur (HP, Snape & OC, M)

The first fic I wrote and the one closest to my heart. Started out as a character study and took on a life of its own, with characters I come back to often.

The Bollan Cross (HP, Snape/OC, M)

Sequel to the above and first love story I ever wrote. The pining, angst, sexual tension, and general idiots-in-love-ness of the thing made it incredibly fun to write, plus I got to create a dumbass girlfailure heroine and goodness knows we don't see enough of those.

Regretfully Yours (HP, Snape/Petunia, E)

This one just sort of randomly popped into my head. I wasn't sure if I could pull it off at first, but it came together very quickly once I got the first line down, about Petunia leaving Privet Drive in a nice blouse and pearls. I was blown away by how much people enjoyed it and I love that people connected to the ship so much. It's a comfort read for me too!

We'll Sing Like Birds in the Cage (HP, Snape & Eileen & Minerva, G)

This one made me cry while I was writing it and that's all I'll say.

Stroke Play (HP, Snape/Lupin, M)

This was a crack fic but what made it really delightful (golf puns aside) was that I took the whole oblivious idiots trope and just ran with it. Snape wants to rail Lupin so bad and he doesn't have a clue.
