She’s 24 years old and Raymond’s student. She moved to Connecticut from the midwest to pursue her life-long dream of being a mortician. She fails the entrance exam twice before getting in. She’s being financially supported by her parents, but they’re slowly backing out of supporting her so she works at a diner where she gets bullied lmao (also not so coincidentally the same one Raymond goes to often)

sometimes I forget raymond isnt just some pathetic old dude and he’s actually pretty accomplished. He owns his own business and he’s very academically advanced to the point where he’s a teacher. I also like the way he talks to the demon audrey like I’m so proud of him. He’s pretty good at lying and making you feel sympathetic to him sometimes despite knowing nothing about him. (at least I think this) and he does a good enough job of pretending to be a normal professional man (if you don’t get to the point of demonic contact with river fields)

ughh I love his intense guilt when one of his female assistants die. He’s always reminded of his mother and his own inadequacies. She was a piece of shit that Raymond hates for probably good reasons but it still obviously has taken blows at his self-esteem and his role as a reliable mentor in others’ lives ooughh… also does not help that he’s had at least one long term relationship that has failed before lol

in his eyes he’ll never be a good man and it pushes him further in his isolation and big baby tendencies
