Turns out, being placed in a civilian family who have no knowledge of your background is actually detrimental to the health and development of a child assassin due to lack of proper support! Surrounded by strangers in a foreign city, Danyal Al Ghul does as assassins do best. He hides. Espionage is one of many teachings one learns in the League, and it only takes half a day for Danyal to construct a new persona to hide behind: Daniel Fenton.

By the time dinner rolls around, Danyal al Ghul is safely and securely tucked behind the face of Danny Fenton; brand new adoptive child of the Fenton family who came from overseas. A shy, quiet little boy with a thick accent and curly hair, with brown skin and blue eyes, and an avid interest in the stars. The best fictions are always cobbled together in a little bit of truth, it's some of the only truth he ever lets through. He apologizes in a meek voice for his behavior early, he didn't mean to be rude, and he watches the three of them eat it up with coos.

Lies roll like silk against his lips, he struggles to meet their eyes and offers them his weakest, shyest smile. It's too easy. It's easy to go from there.

Danny Fenton, adoptive son, shy and awkward and unconfident but friendly. Who struggles in his classes and isn't the brightest, but tries his hardest. He makes bad jokes and has a quick tongue and a sarcastic mouth. He wants to be an astronaut. He's got the best aim in school, and is a terrifying dodgeball player. He's one of the least athletic kids in his grade.

It's like playing two truths and a lie, but there's only one truth, and the rest are lies. It's easy to pretend when he knows it's insincere.

Danyal Al Ghul, grandson to the Demon Head. Deadly, trained assassin. Has spilled blood, has had blood spilt from. Environmentalist, animal activist. He loves the stars. He owns a calligraphy set. A sharp tongue, an even sharper blade. He's clever, quick-witted, he would be top of his grade if he tried harder. He purposely doesn't.

He misses his family. He misses his mother, and he misses his brother. Mother visits a few times a year, so few times that he can count it on both hands. He cherishes every visit, as brief as they are. It helps remind him who he is.

Sam and Tucker are Danny's best friends. They've never met Danyal, but Danyal's met them.

It becomes routine to become Danny Fenton. As familiar and as easy as pulling on a shirt in the morning. Danyal wakes up and is always first to the bathroom in the mornings; stares at himself in the mirror until he can finally see Danny staring back at him. At night, he locks his door and sheds the mask.

Dying throws a wrench in his mask; splits a crack straight through the porcelain. He's able to smooth it over with sandpaper and liquid gold, but it's a little hard keeping his ghost form under wraps. It instinctively wants to shift to show his true self. Danyal can't have that, he's spent four years as Danny Fenton, he'll spend another four as him as well. Even if the feeling of the hazmat suit in his ghost form feels restrictive, like a too-small shirt suctioned to his skin that needs to be peeled off.

He'll live. Er-- well, you know what he means. It's frustrating however, trying to keep his Danny Fenton mask up even as Phantom - fighting in the air is something he needs to get used to, and the sudden propping of powers throws him off. But he is nothing if not adaptive, and he hates that he needs to slow his own skills down in order to keep pretenses up in front of Sam and Tucker.

The first time Danyal summons a sword when he's alone, is one of the few times Danyal gets to grin instead of Danny. He's fighting Skulker, and from an invisible hilt he draws a katana from thin air. It startles them both. Skulker takes a step back at the smile that spreads across his face.

They're both silent as Danyal examines his new sword.

"Do you know what people like me do to people like you, poacher?" Danyal finally asks him, the accent he began to hide a few months in slipping through. He drops all pretense, dragging the flat end of the blade slow and appreciatively against his palm. It's a good make, and when he cuts it through the air, it slices through like butter. He looks up at Skulker with a smile; "are you ready to find out?"

When Sam and Tucker ask about why Skulker seems so skittish around Danny now, Danny shrugs at them and says with a playful smile; "I don't know, I guess I kicked his butt too hard after our last fight." and he watches as Sam rolls her eyes exasperatedly, and Tucker snickers with his own joke.

By the time he reunites with Damian before their 15th birthday, Danyal is buried beneath so many layers of Danny Fenton that his brother will need a shovel to dig him out. He's not sure what he'll find.

While still fixated on TMNT at large, I am especially not able to stop thinking about Bad End Ninja Turtles, an au comic by @butterfilledpockets. 2003's "Same as it Never Was" Raph may not have ever experienced the Ninja Tribunal arc, AND I don't think Rise movie Leo still has his powers, so maybe this was just as much of a surprise for the both of them as it was for Ronin. at least we know for sursies Don-bot has seen magic shit before.

Regulus is waiting outside the Winter Festival with Sirius and Remus.

“Stop fidgeting.” Sirius slaps Regulus hand away from where he’s fidgeting with the hem of his jumper.

“He’s late.” Regulus mumbles.

“He’s two minutes late. Calm down.”

“What if he saw me, turned around and left?” Regulus asks nervously.

“It’s not a blind date, Reggie. He’s very aware of what you look like.” Sirius rolls his eyes.

“But he’s never seen me on a date. What if he saw how I look on a date and decided—”

“Regulus.” Remus cuts him off and nods towards the parking lot.

Regulus turns around and his nerves increase tenfold when he see James and by the time he stops in front of them Regulus feels like he can’t breathe.

“Hi!” James smiles brightly.

“Hi.” Regulus whispers.

“Sorry I’m a little late, I was here… I was… erm… I…” James trails off rubbing the back of his neck nervously.

Sirius snorts. “He was nervous and has been sitting in his car for the last 20 minutes.” It’s not a question and James doesn’t correct him he just blushes and glares at Sirius.

“Sirius, leave him alone.” Remus tells him. “Should we go?” He asks and pulls Sirius into the festival without giving anyone a chance to answer. Regulus and James fall into step behind them.

It’s only quiet for a moment before Sirius turns around. “So, should we start with baby pictures or embarrassing stories from his childhood?” He asks James with a cheeky grin and Regulus’ eyes grow wide with panic. “Oh, calm down, Reggie. Like he hasn’t already heard embarrassing stories from your childhood.” Sirius smirks and Regulus freezes.

Remus grabs Sirius’ shoulders and turns him back around. “Leave them alone.” He hisses in Sirius' ear as they continue walking.

Regulus and James wait a moment longer, then followed behind them. “I haven’t heard embarrassing stories about you.” James tries to reassure him and Regulus huffs disbelievingly. “I really haven’t. Honestly, he would probably be embarrassed for you to find out how much he gushes about you. He’s only ever told us how great you are. It’s actually kind of intimidating.” James clears his throat. “It could erm… could probably make some guys feel a little insecure and really nervous to be…” James trails off when Regulus stops and looks at him.

“You… you’re nervous?” Regulus asks quietly, and James give him a shy shrug. Regulus narrows his eyes incredulously and James purses his lips to the side and looks away sheepishly. After a moment, he looks back at Regulus with an unspoken question in his eyes. They exchange several glances with varying emotions having a bit of a silent conversation that basically says ‘yeah, we’re both nervous.’

They both seem to relax a little and they start walking again. But as soon as they catch up, Sirius turns around.

“Okay, how about some embarrassing stories about Prongs?” Sirius asks, wiggling his eyebrows. “And I definitely have embarrassing pictures.” He pulls out his phone and James groans under his breath.

“Sirius.” Remus snaps. “Leave. them. alone.”

Sirius fusses a bit but Remus pulls him forward and James continues behind them. Regulus stops to linger at one of the booths and after a moment, he feels James come up beside him.

“We shouldn’t have done this.” Regulus whispers.

“Oh.” James says sadly.

“Not this.” Regulus gestures between the two of them. “That.” He waves dismissively in Sirius’ direction. “I don’t know why we thought a double date would be smart.” Regulus sighs.

“Because he wouldn’t let me take you out otherwise.” James says simply.

“What?!” Regulus’ head snaps to look at James.  

“Yeah, he said I could only ask you out if he came with us.”

“I don’t need a chaperon, James.” Any remaining nerves are instantly replaced with irritation. “And what do you mean, let you? Like he needs to give you permission?”

James’ nerves also seem to be slipping away, and have been replaced with a cocky, relaxed smirk that only irritates Regulus more.

“What?” Regulus snaps.

“I agreed to a double date for our first date, but I also told him that’s all he gets. He’s not allowed on any other dates unless specifically planned or invited. No randomly showing up where we are. No ‘oh, that’s where I left this’ if we’re hanging out in the living room. No barging in or sabotaging us in any way… and he said ‘okay’.” He shrugs then pauses for a moment. “Plus, I was going to ask you out either way, but this way, any future dates will be Sirius-free.”

Regulus’ irritation is slowly melting away and he narrows his eyes at James.

“You think there’ll be future dates?” Regulus raises an eyebrow with the hint of a smile.

James smiles back and steps into Regulus’ space. He slowly lifts his hand and tucks a curl behind Regulus’ ear.

“Only if you want there to be.” James answers with a bright smile as Regulus leans into the touch.    

“Sirius! Leave them alone!” Remus’ voice breaks them out of their moment and they look over to see Sirius holding up his phone.  

“What? I need embarrassing first date pictures!” Sirius defends himself and looks at his phone with a huff, “Well, that’s not embarrassing at all.” He complains. “That’s sickeningly adorable.” James grins and Regulus leans into his side a bit, letting James’ arm wrap around his shoulder. Regulus gives his brother a small, smug smile. “Ugh, you two are going to be insufferable, aren’t you?” Sirius whines.

“Sirius.” Remus rolls his eyes and pulls Sirius away again. “Leave them alone.”

Anyways I might've had a couple cute ideas that might peak your interest. For one, I've been wondering what would happen if Sebby was introduced to SCP-999 the Tickle Monster. Especially since it's used to treat trauma and such. And then one thing I found the tag to be lacking... content with past Seb and his siblings tickling the crap out of eachother!

The games end when Grian finally wins that which he created in 3rd Life, freeing the players.

Ok. So hear me out. There is alot of it that doesn't make sense, mostly character wise, but let's put all of that to the side for one moment to entertain this.

-Cleo and Etho have a divorce arc in limited life. Funny, but they barely interacted in double life. Now, at the time of this writing, they have a wonderful duo going on in secret life.... hmm. Interesting

-Martyn has said his canon reasoning behind Lizzie and Mumbo not being in double life was because the previous season was too traumatic for them and they needed more time to recover. If we apply this logic going from Last life to 3rd, the logic still applies.

-This also would mean Skizz wasn't in double because limited life was painful for him... yeah. Ouch.

-Now I haven't seen Lizzie's last life pov all the way through, but she was a fairy queen, correct? And Ren was her bodyguard. Her second in command. I like the idea of Ren becoming a king in 3rd because of that.

-This also makes Pearl's descent into madness in double life a bit sadder, but with a happy ending of her and Scott teaming next season (last life)

-Bdubs kills Impulse the one time he forgets to give him a clock.... oof

-There is also very funny things with this theory, like Grian throwing an axe into Scar's back and then waking up as his soulmate. (Which would also explain why he didn't want to team with him in last life)

Ok that's all in my brain rn, don't take this too seriously as it's not a theory I think is canon or should be, but its a fun idea to spin around I think. Feel free to add stuff !

so here's my grandmother's pumpkin pie recipe -- it is her own personal recipe, it's 100% incredible, she stands by this because it "lets the actual flavor of the pumpkin come through, instead of smothering it in all those other spices, you get a pumpkin pie when you're out somewhere and it's all dark because they've used too many spices and you don't even taste the pumpkin, you just taste spice!! with my recipe you taste the pumpkin!!"

for the crust you're on your own though!! I did not get her crust recipe. use the crust recipe or premade crust you prefer, just crimp the edges. she does not pre-bake the crust, but she does keep it cold while making the filling. by putting the pie dish with the crust in her garage. maybe just put yours in the fridge though. please don't put it in a garage.

for the filling --

1 15-oz can of 100% pure pumpkin (she uses libby's)

3 eggs

1 cup of sugar

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 1/2 cups of evaporated milk

beat ingredients well, pour into pie crust. don't overfill over the crust edges!! (you may have some filling left over.) bake at 425°F for 15 minutes, then lower temp to 350°F for (at least) 45 minutes. check interior by sticking the tip of a knife into the pie filling, and if it doesn't come out clean, give it another 5-10 minutes (but this will also depend on your particular oven, so just keep an eye on it, yknow.) the filling will have puffed up a little as well. cool completely on the counter (the filling will slightly deflate), about 4 hours, then keep it in the fridge (it is basically a custard, after all). I think she believes it'll last an age in the fridge but I would say 3-4 days. you can top it with whipped cream but honestly........you may not even need it. 🥧

Idk if I'm going crazy but Sirius seeing Regulus as a way younger person because he's the elder brother is probably possible??? Like, I'm the middle kid and my sisters have the same age gap. And yet, I still can't see my younger sister any older than like 7 (and she like nearly a teenager now). Like that little girl is always gonna be a cringy seven-year-old in my eyes. WDYM?? SHES GONNA START HS IN A COUPLE YEARS????

Sirius viewing Regulus as being way younger IS SO POSSIBLE. Most people would see a spoiled brat who makes everyone feel like THEY fucked up while all Sirius sees is the crybaby who tripped over too-long dresses and sulked at not being given a piece of candy from Orion. There is no way Regulus is actually SCARING people?? Not possible. James mentioned in passing that Regulus is starting his N.E.W.T.s and Sirius nearly walked into a wall. Regulus asks him for help studying and he feels so uncomfortable because wdym his brother is taking a bunch of tests for his ADULT CAREER???

Regulus starts talking about moving, finding a new place, etc etc and Sirius does a double take like, "Aren't you in school??" and Regulus is like, "I graduated. You were there..."
