Ok so I've just finished reading the tsats for the third time and was scrolling on tumblr when I saw that people were coming for will again like the I get that people have their own opinions and they're allowed to have them but like these people are wrong on so many levels and I'm gonna defend will again but this time it's him from the sun and the star.

Problems that people have with will :

1. Will was trying to fix nico :

No he wasn't dude this whole time will was horrified because of the underworld which went against his nature and everything he stands for like will is a child of the sun who is attracted to life and light like a moth,and he does his best to prevent death as he is a healer and the underworld is full of death and darkness so will subconsciously thinks that its a bad place . While will thinks this and expresses his opinion by saying that I could never stay here , he never says anything bad about nico or to nico like yes he finds nico collecting bones unusual ( which it kinda is but it's also cool as hell ) but he also accepts it as nicos hobby and says nothing . He never indicates that he wants nico to change himself and he's just confused about how to show nico that he loves him in a way nico will appreciate because he feels that nico doesn't always want his light which is why he asks persephone on how to do it and then throughout the book he learns that light and darkness have a balance and that he also has darkness inside him (sorry I got off topic 😅) but he accepts nicos darkness ( he's never been against it and kinda gets it but yk he completely gets it now) and he loves him for it and apologizes for his closed mindset before on two occasions and he was never trying to upset nico in the first place.

2. Will being an asshole:

Now I have no idea where this came from but willam Andrew Solace is not a jerk. He was confused about the culture of the troglodytes but after sometime he was nothing but appreciative, supportive ( of hiss majesty) and thankful of them . Same with the underworld he was put off at first but then he realized the beauty of the underworld and was nothing but appreciative and apologizes for being close minded. He is a caring boyfriend and tries to understand the dark parts off nico and be supportive like in page 35 he tries to comfort nico after his nightmare . He tries to understand nicos feelings but admits ( in page 198) that sometimes it's hard for him . He asks about meeting nico's dad as he knows that he's important to nico and in turn will says he's important to will because he cares about what nico cares about and tries to not invalidate him . On page 373 he asks about nico's mom but as soon as he senses that nico might be uncomfortable he quickly tells nico that he doesn't have to say anything and that he doesn't mean to pry he's genuinely curious about nicos past . On page 229 he says that they should talk to Chiron about giving credit to the underworld farm for making ambrosia and this tells us that he's a fair person and yk jerks are not . On page 227 he even says that they shouldn't be too rude too greyon as some people change like Ethan and Luke for the better like this boy is soo kind that he potentially forgave Luke, the same Luke who was the reason why he lost soo many of his siblings and now he's willing to give a giant a second chance . I feel like we forgot that this dude is going to save a titan he never met and that he's going litteral super hell for his bf because he didn't want him to be alone .

3. Will is controlling :

Again no he is not actually like my bro told nico that he shouldn't shadow travel without reason as it is bad for his Health which we know he's right about and he's not forcing nico to do anything he's telling him a fact which nico knows is true so he goes along with it . And I feel like people forget that no matter how terrified and confused will was, he trusts nicos judgment like when both of them enter tartarus and nico tells Will to hold onto his ankles and will was confused but he did it and he didn't let go even as he was screaming .

4. Will doesn't trust nico :

Yes he does bro he trusts him enough to let nico take him nyx's palace which he couldn't see at the moment like he knew that if he fell he'd fall into chaos and cease to exist so yeah 😐

5. Will was whining too much :

Bro will was dying ever since he set foot in the underworld like his wounds weren't cloting, and he was emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausted, and he was forgetting things . My bros life force was being drained he was tweaking in tartarus like son was losing his shit and going insane but he never showed hesitation of going into tartarus like nico was worried about him and thought of going away because he didnt want will to be hurt but will was undeterred .

I think that's it, and if I missed something please tell me , I'm sorry If it doesn't make sense I'm sleep deprived rn because of exams and could barely tell if what I was typing made sense . I also wanna add that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but before you criticize a character, make sure what you're saying isn't countered in the canon text . Ik many people were disappointed by Wills' characterization, but he's actually not a bad person in canon he's just a confused little night light, but he's trying his best ok so let him live 😭. I think Hee would be the kind of father who would be very supportive of his children, especially if they want to pursue a career in music, but I think he would be very wise to tell his children that it's a very exhausting life and full of very complicated obstacles

His oldest son is definitely his best friend (he lives to make this boy feel proud of him)

His youngest son is his baby

As Heeseung is the youngest children in his family I think he sees himself in his baby boy so is that the reason why he’s always very emotional about the youngest

He wants to be the cool and laid-back father to his youngest son while he wants to be the loyal friend of his oldest

I can really imagine him taking his oldest son for a drive at night to clear his head

Speaking of cars, these 3 always go on a fishing trip every month IT'S A TRADITION

Just like Won, I imagine that Kiki has 2 father skins: the fun-child father with a 4-year-old mentality and the extremely mature father who is aware of his activities as a father.

He fluctuates a lot between these two.

He is extremely responsible when it comes to his children, he can handle any situation on his own without any problems.

Btw, I can see him having a family just like his own (two girls and a middle boy🥹). They are like 10, 8 and 5 years old. 🥹🥹🥹

🪽Her office had pictures of her sisters, some are also teachers and some are still students at the school.

🪽 She is happily engaged to Siegfried, who sometimes visits the school and helps out with functions.

🪽 Also tags along, but she usually tags along for amusement parks or museums, cause she doesn’t like being too far away from her sisters.

🪽 Sometimes takes students out of lessons to have a talk with them to make sure they’re alright.

🪽She also talks with ppl who have dyslexia or example autism so that she can make sure the student gets al the time they need

Also i imagine that Levi would do something similar, but, lets agree that him asking MC to go somewhere is an impossible scenario. I think he will do a good job tho.

Satan and MC hanging out in the garden with cats and this dude, who can easily broke the entire house if he gets angry, casually watching this piece of human struggling to pet a cat bc of their shaking hands. "Come on, just pet it, u got it, MC." "but cats have claws and claws are paaaainful!!!!"

Asmo is probably the only one who will have no problem with that, lol. This dude loves saying about being gentle. Yeah, not surprising that i simp for him. But dynamic between Devildom's biggest slut and a Human, who never kissed with anyone because "well, if i am kissing someone, I can't tell if the person is not gonna get a knife a d won't stub me! and stubbing ppl is painful!" sounds hilarious.

Beel is a big cinnabun, we all can agree. But yhis cinnabun is so big, that it can easily hurt MC accidentally! Even average people often cause ain-sensitive MC pain, and someone as big and strong babyboy like Beel? Damn, poor big man and MC, who waits for hot food to cool down for 15 minutes before eating it because "hot food is painful!"

Belphegor probably will do okay.. i mean, if we ignore 16 lesson.. he is pretty gentle boy so i guess he won't do anything bad. (If anyone is saying otherwise, just so you know there's a viewers discretion that wasn't there until a lot later. There's this even one kid who tried to recreate Panja Attack on his sibling despite it all).

The characters amplify this because of how they react to such things; they didn't address the situation, or point out that it's wrong, no. Instead, they just laughed it off to keep up the humorous charm (or lack thereof due to the nature of the actions itself).

Here are a few examples of the actions of some things from shows, while isn't showcased as a major thing compared to the actions of the show's antagonists, are actually pretty bad themselves;

1. Chhota Bheem

Ah yes, everyone's oldest and still favorite Indian hero. Based on the second Pandava brother, Bhima, Bheem lives by his namesake to be the strongest of all. He helps others, and protects his home from any danger.

While this show is a favorite to many for years (and honestly, me too), there are some actions of the characters that were barely addressed (at least from what I can see. Though I'm sure there's some people out there pointed this out, but their statements never gained enough attention to make this something people will point out often).

For the first, I'll address Kalia as our first study subject;

First and foremost, he is by far the most abusive character ever in the show, at least by visual senses. I don't include the villains for obvious reasons.

Kalia had 2 lackeys who are arguably (more like objectively) the most useless characters the show had ever made; Dholu and Bholu, a pair of twins.

Kalia had not once, not twice, not thrice either, but several times in the span of this show's 16-17 years long airing.

Sure, you can account because of Kalia's character who is honestly pretty bad, but the fact that the only way they can showcase Kalia's character was through sheer violence and domination towards people is just-

Moving on to the next person, Bheem himself;

Tbh, Bheem (and pretty much everyone in his group) is somewhat of a gray area when it comes to his morality. The thing about him is that he doesn't seem to give two shits when an actual abuse is going on in front of his eyes (i.e Kalia's abuse towards the twins).

And let me just bring up one of the many times he actually harmed animals in the name of "protecting the people", when he was supposed to protect both.

I'm talking about the crocodile in the early episodes of the early seasons. On the get go, he was set on getting rid of the croc from the dried riverbank by any means necessary, but it doesn't seem to include talking to it.

Like- ok, the animals are hostile and shit, but with the fact that animals can talk (*looking at Jaggu and the winged tigers*), I don't see the point of physically beating the shit out of them when they can just talk it out civilly.

"Hey, sorry to bother you, but my people here are having problems, and you kind of scared them. Can you maybe move somewhere else? I can find you a good place if you'd like."

"Oh shit- aight man, no prob, thanks. I'll take my leave now."

So many problems can be avoided if you just do this bro.

This also applies to everyone in Bheem's group; they don't seem to give 2 shits with whatever's going on around them, unless it's actually threatening them.

2. Roll No. 21

This whole show is just the most confusing and stressful, and I'm not even kidding; inconsistent lore, information provided do not seem to align, among other things.

Anyways, the first person on this list is Golu, the resident bully of Mathura Ashram himself.

He was the stereotypical bully you'll find; big and fat, and of course, a bully. And of course, like Kalia's case, he's actually part of the gang, but his overall status is interchangeable depending on the situation.

I know that the teachers are all demons so they won't bat an eye about it (most of the time at least), but the fact there's lack of order in Kris' orphanage department baffles me with how carefree Kanishk is

Second, most of the characters, if not all;

Idk, the fact that those kids will laugh at the most nerve-wracking and gut twisting shits ever kinda baffles me, like they're like a bunch of sadistic pieces of shit that would laugh at anyone experiencing pain and/or humiliation. And aren't they like 12-13?? It's literally not just Kris, it's literally every single character that does this.

I would say I kind of understand where this is coming from; all of the students of the Ashram are victims of Golu's bullying, and because Golu always had instant karma every single time (more like Kris' revenge plots), they would laugh because they feel satisfied because their oppressor had been served with justice (or whatever the hell this is).

But then again, it's kind of cruel regardless from one human being to another, especially kids who are like 12-13 year olds. Like, cutting in line when waiting for shower turns, but got frozen by ice water in return? That's like a bunny outsmarting a wolf but the wolf eventually eats the bunny.

3. Little Singham

The ongoing sensation that is literally on par with India's beloved and one of the longest cartoons in a matter of a few years.

I won't address the obvious here, but I would address the more minor ones, like Montu's bullying and the retaliations of his victims (this includes Ajay);

Again, we're met with the stereotypical bully, big and fat build, domineering. Honestly- they should make more variety of bullies, cuz this is just giving us the big build people a bad look. Make a bully to be a pretty girl, a handsome guy, expand the variety bro, you can't just keep the same theme over and over.

Anyways, Montu had been self-explanatory already. He's a bully who wants to outshine and dominate his way in the game, but gets karma almost immediately, whether it's by the law of nature or the protagonist's intervention.

Now onto the other characters, particularly the victims, and the trio of Mirchi Nagar;

Again, they had this sadistic mindset that they would immediately laugh loudly when Montu got his "karma", regardless how absurd it is.

And let me just say the many and different times and types of how Ajay retaliated against Montu for bullying him and/or his friends. From sticking a fake donkey tail to his butt after making fun of Karate, to asking the animals to mess with him.

In comparison, Ajay is a lot more tamed than Kris' retaliations. And also with the possibility that he may have been a long-standing victim of Montu for a while even prior to his promotion as LS. I have to bring up the fact that Ajay is introverted and shy with only 2 friends at his back. To kids no older than 10 or below, these types of people are considered weird and often an easy target to bullying because of how weak they are perceived whether it's physically or emotionally.

That isn't to say I support what Ajay has done. Yes, I know what he did is mostly classified as self-defense (I think), but it's not really worth going this far.

Well, I suppose I have to blame the teachers for not handling the situation at all (*looking at Ms. Tara because I hate her with a burning passion*), so ig the biggest villain in the civil side of the world are the teachers.

4. Arjun, Prince of Bali

Last but not least. I put APOB at the very last because of how much things is going on in this show even if it was classified as the minor things, especially when the background setting is a kingdom, where societal values and expectations are at its peak. Also because it's easier to talk about for me because I'm hella into royalty shit lol.

Let me just bring 2 people up, Khojo and Sankat;

First and foremost, they're a lot less like bullies, more like raging oppressors. They both had their goals with the requirements of getting rid of Arjun by any means necessary, and I do mean that quite literally.

Position-wise (and moral-wise also), it's honestly utterly unethical of them to try to fight with a godforsaken heir to the throne. I'm not sure if anyone is aware of how the hierarchy system works (which is weird honestly, but hey-), but when the first heir is eliminated, the title of future monarch will be passed down to the next to the throne, in this case which is Tanya.

And for picking fights with one of the members of the royal family is the equivalent of going against the entire nation.

Let me address Khojo first because he's a repeat offender in majority of the cases; he was delusional in an absurd amount. He hated Arjun but liked Tanya. He wanted to eliminate Arjun so badly so he could be prince, in which if you didn't read my previous post about APOB before, I've explained that it can't be possible, unless he wanted to be prince consort and nothing more if he were intending to just be that and marries Tanya. Even so, when Arjun got kidnapped, Khojo won't be prince —not by a long shot at that— he'll still remain as nothing more as the Minister's son. If he marries Tanya, he'll just be prince consort.

And then there's Sankat; Arjun and Tanya's cousin who seemed hellbent on getting rid of Arjun due to his jealousy. Internal conflicts in the royal family shouldn't be made public to keep up an image, usually there's this inner war between family members to determine which will be worthy to ascend to the throne, or bringing the entire kingdom into ruin. I'm not sure if the people are oblivious or just dumb (both most likely), but there are several times where Sankat pushed Arjun aside in favor of himself in front of public, and he wasn't even subtle about it either.

This concludes my ramble. I only mentioned 4 because for 2 reasons;

1. These shows are the ones I'm most aware of

2. Many would recognize this compared to the newer ones lol

Again, I feel like things like these aren't being addressed enough, because people are more inclined to look passed these in favor of holding the things they liked up high in high standards while in the meantime completely disregarding the bigger issues laying underneath the glorified fighting champions.

This entire post isn't made to take down the shows because they're bad; I'm simply trying to address the things that many people seemed to have prefer to ignore. I am by no means trying to take down these shows or trying to treat these shows as something not worth to be watched; it does, it just had a lot of flaws like many cartoons typically do because they're not made to be perfect, they're shows for kids.

But truthfully, because these are cartoons for kids, such behaviors should be properly addressed and handled, treating them like a gag, especially when they had this whole stereotype in place in majority of these shows which creates this subconscious mindset that'll affect how they'll react in situations.

3gs, 4, and 4s are all brothers, living with cobs as a single father 😋! 3gs and 4 have a 7 year age gap, and 4 and 4s have a 2 year age gap

there’s no set ages but i do usually set this around 4’s junior or senior year of hs, which would make him around 16/17, making 3gs around 23/24, and 4s around 14/15 . 3gs is in college !

mepad is an only child!! he’s also adopted 😋!! his bio parents gave him up around age 3, but it doesn’t bother him much . he’s the same age as mephone and is in the same grade

toilet is a family friend of the cobs family!! 4 is forced to hang out w him even though he finds him very annoying . he is a grade below 4, and is in the same grade as 4s . he’s also around 14/15 in most cases

mecintosh is just some guy he has no connection to the cobs family other than 3gs . he’s in college too btw. goes to the same college as 3gs

i say “in most cases” regarding age since sometimes i like to write and draw stuff that takes place earlier in time - like 4’s freshman or sophomore year of hs . but most of the time its junior/senior

mepad and mephone met in sophomore year. mepad moved to mephone’s school in freshman year, and they met via mepad being a tutor for mephone !! mephone is not a very good student. usually c’d and d’s with the occasional b or a in his electives, sleeps in class and skips on occasion, is nice enough to his teachers but is not a suck up by any means. mepad is a straight A student , goody two shoes , teachers pet , but well liked as a person in school. not as in he’s popular, he’s just like the “nice kid” that no one really has anything against. mephone is not well liked in school, he’s not completely hated but he’s not cool. gets bullied a fair bit, but he has his little group of friends.

speaking of them, he’s in a band w them!

his band is actually an early version of spoiled lemon , with starfruit on vocals, mephone on lead guitar and backup vocals (lead vocals on occasion), guava on drums, lemon on bass, and pineapple on rhythm guitar !!

i don’t have a name for them yet but they wouldn’t be called spoiled lemon . but yeah it’s essentially an early version of spoiled lemon

mephone pretty much fell for mepad immediately. he’d seen him around school before he started doing tutoring with him and thought he was attractive, but was obviously too much of a pussy to go up to him. also he has no rizz so it wouldn’t have worked out anyways.

once he started doing tutoring w him, it went from like a minor hallway crush to a whole THING. lil bro ain’t getting NO studying done!!

mepad likes mephone too, but he doesn’t fall as fast as mephone, he def ends up being very much crushing on him, but only after a bit of tutoring him and learning more about him and stuff . after that he’s just as deep in this as mephone is 💔

cobs doesn’t really let mephone have people over, and mephone wants to be away from home as much as possible, so he starts taking more time to get “tutoring” outside of school, aka, going to mepad’s house after school . at first it actually is just more tutoring outside of school but it quickly becomes just mephone and mepad hanging out at mepad’s place … and ofc eventually ends up as their after school homo gay time ❤️❤️

also. mephone is absolutely a bad influence on mepad LOLZZZ he starts convincing him to sneak out and stuffs after they get closer.

Note: Hey! It’s been a while but I got inspired by my extreme procrastination of my schoolwork to make something. I’ve been just itching to write about super mundane things tbh, I’ve been just so busy, I’m appreciating the mundane much more lately. Hope you all like it <3

Seungmin was extremely relaxed after his daily coffee run. If there was anything to start his morning peacefully, it was nicely flavored americano and an empty cafe. Today would be a good day, Seungmin resolved to himself. He would get his choreo memorized, sing some demos for Chan today and maybe even go live for a lunchtime mukbang session. Today would be a great day in fact. He felt so at peace that he felt he could do anything today, even the laundry that had been sitting in the corner of his room for like a week at home. Today would be good. 

You personally felt victimized today. Nothing like sleeping through the most important meeting of the quarter to start your morning. You spent all of last night typing out your important charts and notes, Seungmin couldn’t even lure you into bed with warm cuddles and extra attention.

Despite this, Seungmin had kissed you to sleep endlessly when you did join him at an early 3 in the morning. You felt so bad for keeping him awake, but Seungmin didn’t have an important quarterly report to type, you did. Resigning to a stern lecture from your coworkers, you let the morning do its thing. You used the last of the coffee pods that Seungmin left you and fed your tiny, old dog before hurrying out the door. Let’s get this day over with, you thought.

Right before you left work for the day, you sent Seungmin a text.

Just getting out of work. When do u get home?🥲-Y

Almost immediately Seungmin answered.

Some time went by as you waited for a reply. You watched the fall colors of the trees pass you by as the bus took you to your homestop. Something about fall calmed your nerves. Luckily, the quarterly meeting had been postponed because the division manager had a cold, which totally saved your butt. You sighed and felt a vibration from your phone. 

Chan$$ venmoed you 10 usd 

You grinned and sighed. Opening up your messages with Seungmin, you shook your head and laughed. 

Why did chan send me 10 dollars in usd 🤔 -Y

You pulled the bus signal and gathered your stuff. The time on your phone read 4:26. Technically speaking, you should be at work, but was let out early due to the manager being gone and the meeting had everyone done with work. Maybe you would cook some lasagna according to your mom’s recipe. Or take Luna (your fossilized age dog) out on a walk. You didn’t really seem to know what to do because of this peculiar on-edge feeling. 

It was peaceful around you as you hopped off the bus. An ajumma was reading her book on the bus stop bench. A 16 year old student and his friend were arguing over a bag of chips. A business man was walking presumably home from work. 

You pulled your coat a little tighter around you as you started to walk in the direction of yours and Seungmin’s place. The cold air had picked up in a bit of a breeze as you passed the corner store which was next to the salon that was owned by your neighbor down the hallway. Eventually you made it to your building and walked into the warm main hallway. 

Seungmin’s schedule was unexpectedly busy today. Despite his peaceful start, the choreographer made some changes to the new dance they were learning for a unit video with Leeknow and Jeongin. Leeknow, being the particular dancer he always was, made the choreo hour seem like 3. Afterwards, Chan said his demo tracks still weren’t ready but he could send one of them over for a listen. This left Seungmin a bit of freetime before lunch, so he decided to walk to the new chocolate store that opened down the street and buy you some mocha and espresso choco bites. With his goodies in hand, Seungmin proceeded to go about his day as normal, except for the fact that Jisung was freaking out when he met with Seungmin for lunch over how his recording session went terribly and he needed to reschedule soon because the tracks needed to be edited soon. All of Jisung’s stress made its way to Seungmin and started to give him an icky feeling. The best he could do was offer some comfort to Han by offering to help him on the vocals when he had a chance. This seemed to help him a bit. Not soon after, You texted Seungmin and this put him at ease. Running off after lunch, Seungmin found Chan in his studio working on the aforementioned demos. Trying to guilt trip his most loyal leader, Seungmin found himself getting an apologetic “Sorry min but the schedule is packed after 3:30. It's best to stay the day I think” from Chan. Welp. 

From here on, it was utter chaos. When Seungmin got to the group meeting room for a debrief on the morning schedule, no one but the manager was there. Everyone was late, Hyunjin didn’t have anything but a coffee and his phone because he forgot his laptop at home, Jeongin was sniffing because he was recovering from a cold, Leeknow was late because of a dance practice, Chris and Changbin were late because of the demo fixing, Jisung walked in with a second lunch, and Felix just lost track of time. Who knows what happened after that.  

In between song rehearsals, Seungmin replied to your text and apologized for the continuing schedule. He sensed your day hadn’t gone according to plan but he really couldn’t do much at the moment. Jisung was pestering him to help him with some vocals and he reluctantly agreed to a bit of help after the rehearsal. So much for going home early. 

After he grabbed his bag to head to Jisung’s studio room, he texted you again to make sure you were okay.

Seungmin swung the door open and started slowly heading down the dimly lit hallway to let Jisung catch up. 

No Luna decided to spit up her lunch. Also the coffee machine broke -Y

Seungmin got startled when he felt some hands on his shoulder. Jisung had caught up. 

“What did you think about that rehearsal huh?” Jisung chuckled and readjusted his hoodie over his head. “Personally, I don’t know if I’ll survive tomorrow.” He shook his head and grimaced. 

“Ah, it's fine. It’s strange because everyone was late but tomorrow won’t be that bad. I need a vacation after though.” Seungmin chuckled and stuffed his phone in his back pocket before heading into the elevator after Jisung. 

“Bro I’ve got so many tracks to finish and turn in, it’s insane.” 

“Tell me about it, I’ve got a bunch of people asking me for help.” Seungmin laughed and nudged at Jisung teasingly. Jisung got a bit embarrassed and slapped his arm playfully.

“I’m looking forward to the weekend.” Jisung sighed. 

“Me too.” Seungmin agreed wholeheartedly and followed his companion into the studio hallway.

Finally, 7pm hit the clock. You quickly set the table and hopped in the shower. All the unease in your stomach had made you do odd chores around the house to get your mind off of the feeling. You made your homemade lasagna, did 2 loads of laundry, vacuumed the whole house, and cleaned out the fridge. Still, you felt unfinished. The whole day at work, people had been asking for your assistance on different tasks and now that you did jobs for yourself, it didn’t feel satisfying enough. Additionally, you tried making your favorite caramel latte but the machine broke. You sighed as you washed your hair. After you got out and was on step 3 of your skincare routine, you heard the front door open and close, signaling the return of your boyfriend. 

Seungmin took the choco bites out of his bag before setting it on its designated hook in the hallway. Luna ran up to Seungmin and excitedly pawed at his shoes for pets. Suengmin smiled and crouched down to pet her before talking sweet nonsense despite her being a dog. 

You walked out from the bedroom, careful not to startle Seungmin and snickered a bit. 

“And here I thought I was the one going to get extra attention.” You teased. 

Seungmin stood up and waddled over to you with arms open wide. 

“Babyyyyyyyy. I missed you so” He said in his best baby voice. You adored Minnie. “Don’t strangle me Min.” You pouted. 

“I’m sorry, I just had a weird day.” You could hear his visible pout and you rubbed his back.

“Did you need something then? A kiss? Some food?” Seungmin held you out at arm’s length and got suddenly very serious.

“That is the first time someone has asked me that all day.” You giggled at his distraught face, knowing he was pouting about not getting enough attention. 

“Aw, my poor baby boy didn’t get enough love from his friends did he?” You smiled teasingly. He dramatically nodded yes and then seemed to have an epiphany. 

“Oh! I have something for you!” He ran over to the table and picked up a fancy yellow pastry box before opening them and stretching them out to you. 

“Aw, baby, you didn’t have to.” You picked up a chocolate cookie looking thing and bit into it. You expected a cruncy texture, but got more of a caramel bite of brownie spongieness. You sighed in pleasure and closed your eyes to savor the taste. 

“Mmmm! This is so good. Where did you get these from?” You opened your eyes. 

“There’s a new pastry shop by the JYP building! I thought you could use a pick me up today.” He stared at you excitingly, happy that you were happy. He happily walked back to the table and set down the box before sauntering to the kitchen. 

“Thanks Min, I really appreciate it. I needed the surprise.” He looked back at you and curiously asked what was wrong. 

“Ah, I just had a bad start to the morning. My meeting got delayed and I’ve been feeling weird all day.” You walked to the counter and began to plate some lasagna. “I did make my favorite dish for dinner though.” You felt arms wrap around you waist and a chin prop on your shoulder. 

“I’m sorry I couldn’t do more, baby. Do you need something from me? Sometimes you just need someone to take care of you to feel better.” Suengmin said sweetly. You leaned your head back against him. 

“You’re too nice to me you know that right?” You sighed and got back to serving the food.

“No, I’m so serious right now. I feel like everyone asks so much of us that we don’t just get to take care of eachother.” He helped you carry the dishes to the table as he maintained the conversation. 

“So many people asked me for favors today. I realized how much I just wanted to go home and listen to someone ask about my day. I feel like that would make you feel better. So, I’ll do just that!” He happily exclaimed this last point and pulled out your chair for you to sit down in. You smiled and puckered your lips for a kiss. He happily obliged. You sweetly kissed him and said, “Min, all I want from you is your attention and your cuddles.” You giggled. He smiled and quickly grabbed some juice from the fridge before running to the table to sit down like a child. 

“Okay, tell me about your day. I want to know everything. I also want to know what I can do to make you feel better. Think of it as a master plan. Plan Y/N: Make Y/N feel loved and appreciated for all they do for everyone.” He motioned with his hands across the space in front of him. 

You shook your head and began from the very beginning. Seungmin listened the whole time and attentively ate while making agreeable sounds. Watching you be so animated about a normal day was so attractive to him, he thought to himself that he would spend all his days like today if he could return to you and listen to you speak. As dinner winded down, he held your hand across the table and spoke about his schedule that day. Although he was being pestered all day with favors, he felt that this one task that was given to him by you would never be an annoying one. He would gladly ask if you needed something from him if it meant giving you extra love and attention.

Matty with Eilidh when she’s about 16/17. And she is pushing the limits and being rebellious and whatnot (literally just sneaking vodka to the park or something). You, exasperated with your daughter’s newfound love of defying authority, ask Matty to have a word with her and see if he can get through to her (they’ve had SUCH a bond her whole life). So he knocks on her bedroom door, and pokes his head in. He flops down on the bed next to her (because he IS her much older brother, not an uncle). Eilidh isn’t fooled (‘mum and dad sent you in, didn’t they?’). Matty tries to deny this (‘what?! No. I wanted to see my favourite angel child’). Anyway, they chat and Matty asks to look through her records and books. He’s delighted to find a few of the 1975 records.

She assures him nothing is that deep and she isn’t going off the rails. An hour later, Matty comes downstairs to you and Ross. Immediately you’re both like ‘what did she say?!’. And Matty just laughs (enjoying the attention) and assures you your daughter is going to be absolutely fine.

Same anon as the last 2 lol. I CANNOT stop thinking ab this Eilidh / Matty dynamic. When she’s like 12, she gets a bit cheeky AND a bit into the 1975 music. So she is forever quoting lyrics to Matty like the drug ones, the sex ones, all sorts. And every time, Matty pretends to be annoyed but he loves the banter and the fact she likes the music.

And then when she is 15ish (and the big feelings you feel at 15 are starting to brew), she talks to Matty about IAWDS or loving someone or something like that… one of their really meaningful songs. And it’s a really beautiful moment between the two of them. Matty gives her a pep talk and dedicates the song to her next time he plays it live.

altering slightly, but i love this dynamic between them, actually! like she loves her parents, but like they do have a tendency to do the parent thing of worrying a little bit too much, especially when she turns 15/16/17 and goes through that tumultuous teenage moment of being sullen and withdrawn and secretive. and like fair enough both you and ross get that, having been teenagers yourselves, but eilidh went from being a smiley tween to moody cool kid in about 3 seconds flat and it was a bit freaky - you both kind of err on the annoying side of asking her if she's ok, though, which is why she's exasperated and won't tell you lol. the vodka thing isn't even the issue (god knows you both did it), you genuinely just want to know if she's ok. and i don't even think you'd have to ask matty - he's over one day and eilidh speeds past you all like a little thunderstorm on her way to her room (in my head she's like tori from heartstopper actually lol), barely even saying hi to him (her big bro!), and he's like "ok let me see if i can figure out what's up". eilidh lets him in, maintaining she's ok, and the two of them just sit quietly for a minute before matty clocks her cd collection and starts a conversation about how good her taste is and is she going to any gigs with her friends over the summer. and eilidh goes quiet at that, and matty's like aha that's the issue and says "come on. you can tell me about friend drama, darlin', god knows i've been involved in enough"; she smiles and then hands him her abiior cd (matty smiles back and says she better not give him a row for swearing on it like she did when she was younger) and points to iawds, and quickly clarifies "it's not me, honestly, but it's to do with this". and basically eilidh, the dependable calming friend much like her dad, is supporting loads of her friends through mental health crises and getting a bit overwhelmed with it all, bless her. and matty just pulls her into a hug and tells her he's so proud of her for her kindness, then offers some advice on how to help her friends AND herself at the same time (because self-medicating with vodka is Not It) and tells her to phone him anytime she wants to talk about it at all (because he knows sometimes it's easier to not burden the people closest to you, like parents, with stuff like this). and she gives him another hug and they continue chatting, eilidh so clearly feeling lighter than she did beforehand. when matty comes downstairs, he reassures you and ross that your daughter is "fine, she's just friends with emos" to lighten the mood, before saying "nah she's alright, just worried about some of her friends. she's a good one, that daughter of yours"; you're both relieved and so grateful to matty, who both makes good on his promise to eilidh about being there when she needs him AND dedicates iawds to her, in a sense, at the next gig, saying something like "this one's for the people keeping the people who relate to this song together. we love you. thank you" <3

firstly, my GOD they were young.

secondly... ok just a recap on observations about loki.

lets assume thor was never banished. i truly don't think he believed odin would do that. i think this wasn't just a prank either, obviously. it was a real attempt to be like, "SEE??? SEE???!!?" and it feels VERY hormonal teenage angst.

ok so then how old is loki in mortal years? i know people did the math and said 16, some said 21. i guess assume 5k is the length of their lifespan, that is a third of his life. but is their maturity biologically speaking easily sliced into equal parts? i don't think so.

i think their physiology has them physically maturing quickly, the physiology it's self a result of celestial genes??? where beings of that sort of energy and existence are meant to mature quickly but then these beings replicate or take on a more base lifeform to interact with other similar base lifeforms and so you have like the blood of celestials now slightly diluted among various alien species?

ok so assuming that then now we have the children of the children of the children of the children and what have you so various species across the universe can probably atest some of their own powers and shit to the same thing.

ANYWAY MY POINT IS now they still mature physically but mentally they aren't this omnipresence but they still call themselves as much when realizing other creatures of the universe don't have the same power.

so loki looks like he's early twenties at this point but is technically much older and with a perception of time so different when you know you live 5k your years as a youth are extended compared to that of beings. especially when you consider the fact that some animals do have varying lengths to the stages of their life. some stay in the juvenile stage for hundreds of years (ex: greenland shark), but then it also depends on how you want to define what makes a being move on to the next life stage.

SO THAT is a good question but anyway.....

say thor is not banished, loki gets what he wants: a brief stay to the coronation. i 1000 percent believe his wanting to sabotage isn't just to be a jerk ass, but a true concern for what thor's actual ruling style would be. i think he just sees thor as also too immature and lacking in true political prowess.

but under that is a true issue he hasn't yet fully faced which is how much he wishes to be taken more serious. it's like... you are the little brother of a kid who does everything right, even when it's wrong. first you like to imitate but you keep getting caught and your brother is never held to the same standard for some reason. you don't get it so you just think well fine ill do the one thing better than him: not get caught.

and so you develop your gift and you find really the deeper issue is your father seems more and more distant to you as you grow up, and you can't figure it out. it's not like he completely dismisses you but he definitely spends more energy on thor, right? so you spend your time with your mom and learn even more things, maybe stuff considered by the wider culture to be sneaky and shit, so also conflated with being a woman's thing (very outdated, you know, but people on asgard are surprisingly behind with the times cosmically in certain social ideals...) and this is how things go for a thousand years.

until you really cant take it and while... if this had been just another simple feast, or something like that, thor would have been pissed and you wouldn't have gone to the extreme just to get his goat, so to speak. he'd be mad and you would fight but like you always do.

buuuut yeah, its more serious, so you choose to do a more serious thing and the result is you know why your father has been distant, what thing he was thinking about when choosing to spend time and energy on thor instead of you, and you also get why both parents seemed more harsh on you, or at least you think you do. you assume its because they were worried your monster would show, would grow.

but you think that because you're still relatively young and you are hurt as fuck by all this shit, even if the revelation came about because you fucked up and took something to an extreme it shouldn't have been taken to.

anyway so now im watching avengers and i 1000000 percent am on board with the idea that loki was tortured into submission to thanos. by the time we see him there he is literally looking like absolute shit and we know that isn't because of the portal travel through the tesseract. that thing allowed plenty of people to safely travel in the what if series.

its because he has been freshly let go and given a chance to fuck shit up. and his hatred and pain has been nourished and you are under the minor influence of the mind stone that is just an echo chamber for your pain, a feedback loop that keeps you unhinged far longer than you would have been without it.

so yeah come dark world.. you are scarred from that torture, you are angry at yourself as much as everyone else and you haven't worked through your issues at all. going to a dungeon cell for over a year just makes you sit and stew. maybe if it were five years later he would have come to better terms, allowed his mother to finally talk to him, but that doesn't happen.

and instead what does happen is dark world shit, and he realizes he can get what he wants, odin is tired and thor clearly doesnt want the throne right now so why not do everyone a fucking favor?

and then it's four years later... five since you were put in the dungeon, six since you fell from the bifrost, and maybe... just maybe... its easy to mask your pain literally, by being someone else in front of everyone else and you think haha im proving to everyone that i am capable and a better ruler, but deep down:

bitch, no, you are just fooling yourself.

so this is where MY loki comes into play, ragnarok happens and he sticks with thor because both men seem to have hit a new stage in their life cycles, and loki is still coming to terms with his entire youth and beginnings when he helps the avengers save the world (after being blipped ofc). new asgard is a new beginning, and king val is also a huge step up from odin and thor, honestly. he can support her and feel GOOD about it.
