First time sharing my Linked Universe fanart here, after lurking in the fandom for years - I was emboldened to do so by @kikker-oma 's lovely Fan Joy July event. This illustration is for Clearing the Air, a story by Sinnatious which has embedded itself deep into my psyche and refuses to leave. So, in the "Vanny" ending of HW2, it's presumed that Vanny/Vanessa is able to overpower Glitchtrap and defeat him using the power of the AR system and MXES. What's interesting to me is that in that ending, when you hand over the Glitchtrap plush, it's specifically to Moon, who then brings it to Vanny before she crushes it.

You cannot tell me these two don't have Some sort of connection. (Obviously the Sun-Vanessa // Moon-Vanny comparison is obvious. People assuming one of them is evil while they're really being controlled and manipulated by outside forces--The Mimic.)

It could be suggested that Moon, like Vanny, was using his own position as "the bad one" to trick the Mimic into trusting it had full control over him. Which I would find to be a Very interesting idea.

Or maybe I'm just too damn invested in these jesters, who knows.

the thing with everyone asking why joe didn't tell them is that yes it's funny and absurd but it's also a symptom of the very real situation of that joe can never do right. he isn't allowed to, there is no sch choice for him.

he tells people? he'll get laughed off (if lucky). he doesn't? he gets blamed for hiding himself. he goes with ming and gets shunned by wut and sol, because their support is needed (joe) but not unconditional (wut) or completely selfless (sol). he goes with sol and'll have to deal with ming and the fact that he doesn't really want to. he goes with none and slights them both. and he *is* dependent on them. he needs the money for the body's mother, his mother. the people around him are all controlling, in their own way, and so sure that they know what's best for joe. joe has very little input in his story, then as now, and it shows.

joe has died and come back but he isn't the same but isn't *really* allowed to mourn that. to grieve. he died and came back different but is still expected to fill the same hole that he left whether he wants to or not. and he wants to, he does, if nothing else then for the fact that he doesn't really know anything else. he is so, so so lonely and the companionship he gets, he craves. and he'll put up with a lot for it, but not everything. but right now he is so tired. joe is so tired and both sol and ming are more intense than ever and it weighs on him as it would anyone.

joe doesn't have the possibility to make a 'right' choice and i don't think he has been allowed to process it all. he hasn't been allowed to mourn or grieve, and is so so tired now. "poor joe" the series, indeed

His cheek, forehead, he could taste blood- but what hurt the most was seeing the same on Giyuu. That he was inflicting. The same pain in his eyes he knew his own echoed. All of it a desperate plea, their bared teeth and glares wavering for a moment.

Sorry for not having been too active recently - by the middle of august I started an internship at a kitchen two days a week so that together with having my mother visit, the gig redraws +stickers, a zine project piece and just life in general have kept me occupied

And then there are days like today where I have been wanted pretty much nothing more than sleep and to read 😅🤣

I hope to be back with some sketches and/or minor projects the upcoming week(s) 😁
