What about something to do with reader previously fighting back against/killing an abusive parent and a case comes up with the bau which brings it all to life..?
Hiya, hope this is okay! I didn't go into too many sad emotions lol, but hopefully this is okay :)
Description: reader gets dragged back to his hometome, but reunites with his younger brother.
Warnings: child abuse, abuse, murder, alcohol mentions, assault, previous arrests, custody battles, death of a parent
“This week’s case my fine furry friends, you are all heading to Oregon. The homeland of the one and only (Y/N).” Penelope said, pointing the bippy at you. You give a small smile, not having the heart to tell her you were hoping to keep that particular cat in the bag. “So this unsub is targeting unsavory individuals, first, this man. Robert Davis, 42, father of three. Total slime ball, an abusive drunk who is particularly fond of driving under the influence.”
You all looked at the photos now on the board. “Now, up next, same thing. Derek Harris. Father, this time 53, abusive, drinks on occasion.”
“Okay, so he’s got a type.”
“How long between victims?”
“Only four days.”
“How long does he keep them alive?”
“Only a few hours, before he dumps them on the door of their house.”
“He dumps the bodies at their house?” You asked, frowning.
“Why?”
“It’s like a gift.” You theorised, “I know what he was doing so I took revenge for you.”
“Some gift.” Prentiss said, turning back to the file.
Not long after, you were all on the jet on your way to Oregon. The briefing didn’t take long, just a few rough ideas exchanged and Morgan asking if you were excited to go home, you were not.
“Hotchner.” Hotch answered the phone before the end of the second ring. “You’re sure? Okay. We’ll make sure to send some agents there when we land. It’s alright, I’ll let him know. Thank you.” And with that, Hotch hung up again.
The air was a little tense, to say the least. “Another body turned up?” Rossi asked. Hotch just gave a nod.
“Already?” Reid’s eyebrows furrowed. You watched your boss closely for a few seconds.
“It’s him, isn’t it?” Is all you ask.
“Yes.” Is his response. “The ME just identified him.”
“Who found him?”
“(Y/N)…”
“Hotch, who found him?”
“Your brother.”
You sighed, looking away. “He okay?”
“He’s alright. Paramedics checked him over, he’s at the station waiting for us to land.”
You give a small nod. “He’s okay?”
“He’s okay.” Hotch said, voice a little more gentle now. The team watched you cautiously, all concerned.
“Who was the latest victim?” Reid asked, frowning slightly.
“Er, Lee (L/N).”
“(L/N)?” Morgan asked, turning to face you.
“My dad.” You gave a small nod.
“Which means we’re going to have to dive into your life,” Hotch explained, his face was his usual stern expression, but you could see the understanding in his eyes.
“I know.” You gave a small sigh. “I was arrested for assault when I was eighteen - I just broke his nose. No charges were pressed or anything.”
“What happened?” JJ asked.
“Er, I saw him hit my brother.” You gave a small nod. “And he didn’t press charges on the condition I moved out. So, I moved out. I tried fighting for custody but with that arrest, the courts weren’t having it.”
“They wouldn’t let you have custody?”
“Nope, not even with our medical records.” You gave an awkward shrug, “I tried multiple times, Declan ended up in the hospital once or twice. I lived in a small town, and everyone just… turned a blind eye to it.”
“That’s horrible…” JJ said. “They turned a blind eye? Just like that?”
“Yep. And then after the second custody battle and I was doing a food shop and I saw my dad hit Declan again. That time, I landed my dad in hospital.”
You were silent for the rest of the ride, preferring to sit inside your own head than interact with the outside world.
As soon as the jet landed, you, Spencer, and Hotch headed to the police station, the others dividing themselves between the different crime scenes. You follow the secretary’s vague motion to a room at the back of the station. It takes you thirty seconds after to realise she was in your grade in school. You purposefully ignored that and gave the door a light knock before opening the door.
“Declan…” You had prepared for the worst. You were expecting him to hate you, you had left the day you turned eighteen. Granted, it wasn’t exactly a voluntary leave, but you still left.
“(Y/N),” Declan looks up, smiling a little when he sees you. His eyes are bloodshot.
“Hey.” You said softly, "How are you feeling?"
Declan gives a small shrug and you give a quiet sigh, taking a seat next to him on the couch. "Come here," You said, opening your arms. He stares at you for a moment before letting himself lean against you.
You wait until you've both calmed down before speaking again. “We need to talk, kid…”
“I know.” Declan gave a small tight lipped smile. You sit down next to him, sighing slightly as you did. “They don’t think you’re involved, do they?”
“Nah, I’ve got an alibi I cleared with my boss.”
Declan nods, “Good. So I’m assuming your team know?”
“Yep.” You sighed, turning to face him. “Look, Declan-”
“You don’t need to apologise.”
“Yes, I do. I left.”
The teen rolled his eyes, “You’re actually thick. You didn’t leave, dad basically kicked you out.”
“I should have fought to stay.” You argued.
“Yeah, and he would have killed you.” He said. “Besides, I was fine.”
“Were you?”
“Yeah. Most of the time dad was too caught up in his drinking to care.” Declan gave a small shrug. “So… what’s going to happen to me?”
“Well, if you want, I’ve got a spare room that I could let you have. I suppose.” You said, a small smile tugging at your lips.
“Yeah, I guess. If I had too.” Declan grinned slightly.
“Sounds good.” You gave a nod, “We can sort everything else out later. And, if you want - since our house is sort of a crime scene, you can bunk in my hotel room.”
“Perfect, free hotel room.” Declan smirked.
“Yeah, yeah.” You rolled your eyes. “I gotta go talk to my team, you okay in here?”
“Yes, old man. I’m fine.”
You placed a hand on your chest dramatically as you left.
“Everything okay?” Hotch asked.
“Yeah. I think so.” You said, giving your boss a small smile. “As well as it can be right now, anyway.”
“He seems resilient.”
“He is.” You gave a small nod. “You don’t mind if I stay for a while after the case to sort everything up here out, do you?”
Hotch shook his head, “Not at all. Take all the time you need.”

Makarov x Price daughter pt.4
This chapter is just to explain what Price did in the whole year since his daughter is gone. Its different then the other ones I still hope you like it. I'll try to set myself a goal to publish the next chapter tomorrow.
Previous Part. next part
Four months he was away from his home, from his wife Tina, and you. God, he missed you and couldn’t wait to see you again. He planned the whole month how he would apologize to you for saying you were a disappointment. Of course, you weren't a disappointment; he just didn't know how to show it to you. You weren't his little girl anymore, so grown and independent. Tina needed him more than you, or at least he thought so. Tina was a spitfire, always getting in danger, disrespecting teachers, while you were a perfectly behaved little girl. Never once in his life occurred the thought that you could do anything wrong. So he neglected you, and he knew that was a mistake now.
During this time off, he would give you all the attention you needed and finally be the dad you deserved. If only you'd accept his apology. He finally arrived in Cardiff, his clothes still dirty from the long flight, his beard overgrown, and he looked a bit like a Neanderthal, but this time he couldn't wait. He rang the bell, Tina and his wife already running into his arms.
"Where is she?" he asked curiously, eager to find out where you were. You mostly took the day off when he came back from deployment. Maybe you couldn’t or did overtime again because a birth took longer than planned.
"Dunno," his wife said bluntly, not mentioning the fact that you hadn’t been home for three months. She saw you making out with an older guy again the day you went "missing". In her mind, you were a spoiled brat who didn't appreciate everything she gave you. She wasn’t your mother and still tolerated you. Shouldn’t you be grateful for that?
After 10 hours at home, your dad grew anxious. He always had a great gut feeling, and something felt off, so he needed to investigate this situation, making sure you were okay. You were his little girl, after all. Telling his wife a white lie, he went to the hospital where you worked.
The delivery station looked weird to him. Everyone was smiling brightly, as if there wasn’t any pain or war in the world. The midwives walked around in pink scrubs, and everywhere were damn cupcakes. It was the first time he visited you at work, and he felt guilty about how he reacted the day you told him you wanted to become a midwife. He should have been proud of you.
After looking around and not finding you, he asked one of the midwives, explaining that he was your dad and had returned from deployment. He got more confused when the midwife told him to sit down and your supervisor came out, taking him into her office.
"Look, your daughter was our best midwife apprentice, but she hasn’t been at work for the last three months without any notice," she explained.
"What do you mean three months? She loves her work," he said.
"We know that. If she ever gets out of her phase, she can come back to work. But for now, could you please gather her stuff from the locker?"
"Phase? What phase?"
"Her stepmom told us she had psychological issues, Mr. Price."
He never heard of it. Why didn’t his wife tell him before? He would have tried to be there for you. The midwife guided him to your locker, opening it for him so he could take your stuff out. His lips curved into a smile when he saw the pictures in the locker: one of your best friend and you at graduation (he missed it), a picture of you on your first day at work with pink scrubs, and a picture of him barely 20, holding you in his arms. You were so precious, such a little thing looking up to him. Dozens of pink scrubs, a calendar marked with vacation NYC and Taylor Swift concert. This didn’t look like a locker from someone who lost it.
--------------------
"Where is my daughter? Don’t bullshit me."
"I don’t know."
"Her boss said you told her she is mental."
"Well, she certainly is. She sleeps around with men your age."
"Do you know where the fuck she is or not? When was she last here?"
"Three months ago."
"Fuck it! My daughter is missing, and you only told me about it now?"
"She isn’t missing, John. She probably married some old fart and ran off."
"Shut the fuck up." He never screamed at his wife. His captain demeanor was always something he left at home, but you were missing, and no one told him. What if something happened? After three months, the traces were hard to find. "Fucking hell."
He walked away to the only place he could think you were. But when your best friend called him a deadbeat dad for only searching for his daughter after three months, he knew something must have happened to you.
---------------------------------
"Kate, please, anything will help."
"John, there is no trace of her. I'm sorry."
-----------------------
"We searched through every man she interacted with, Cap. She isn’t anywhere."
"She is there somewhere outside, Ghost."
----------------------------
"How many more innocent people will you kill, John? She is gone."
-----------------------------
"We should hold a wake for her."
"She is still alive, Kate."
"John, it’s been a year. You know the statistics."
"I won’t stop until I see her corpse."
--------------------------------
"Makarov will marry, holding a big public celebration and everything, invited us somehow."
"Why should I care if that bastard marries, Nick?"
------------------------
"We found your daughter, Captain."
"Where, Kyle?" He asked desperately. He never lost hope after searching for you for a whole year. He wasn’t the man he was before. He was rougher, he didn’t care about anything anymore. He divorced his wife, killed just to have you back.
"You won’t like it." Please don’t be dead. His eyes started to tear.
"Where?" He needed to take his little girl home, bury you properly, a thing he never thought he needed to do, bury his own daughter, but the world was cruel for people like him.
"Alive"Kyle placed some articles of a Russian gossip journal on his desk.
"'Princess of Russia'," John read aloud. "Vladimir Makarov's longtime love was seen shopping for her wedding dress suspiciously holding her belly. Already pregnant?"
"We can't wait for the wedding of the century," Kyle continued, pointing at the article. "From worker to billionaire spouse, she is living the Cinderella dream."
John's heart sank. He knew what this meant. His daughter, his little girl, was about to become a pawn in Makarov's twisted game. And he would do anything to stop it.

Looking for work - a wolfstar microfic
@wolfstarmicrofic July 1 - Western Words: 679
Remus dusted the worst of the fine dessert sand off and opened the easy swinging door to the saloon. Tequila-based drinks seemed to be what people were drinking here, so that was what he ordered. In these places everyone tended to know everyone, and it was hard to not stand out as it was, without making eccentric drinking choices.
He sat down in an empty corner and busied himself with an old newspaper, careful to portray a relaxed façade, until most of the curious eyes on him had moved on.
He took his time with his drink, trying to get a sense of this town by silently listening to arguments and gossip, watching people come and go. A man entered that made him do a double take. With sleek black hair, fair skin and clothes without the dust the rest of them were covered in, he was obviously wealthy. But he wasn’t adorned like any conventional landowner or other prominent person. He wore a plain shirt, boots and a hat similar to his own, only much less worn.
The way he walked, deliberately slow and cocky, and the way people looked at him, at the same time attentive and cautious to not be caught staring, told Remus he was someone to respect, possibly fear. A criminal boss of some sort? No. While the bartender left the man in line to go welcome the mysterious man, he didn’t seem as anxious as pleased. And the man acted friendly enough, chatting and laughing with the bartender in a slight accent. Was it French?
After getting a whiskey he looked around the saloon and his eyes fell on Remus, who for the first time got a good look of his face. He was gorgeous with sharp cheek bones and pale skin that should be impossible out here. He looked quizzingly at the chair beside Remus. Remus nodded approvingly and the man sat down with a dazzling smile.
“You’re new here.”
“Yeah.” Remus stuck his hand out “Remus Lupin.”
“Sirius Black.”
He took a sip from his glass and watched Remus up and down in a way that had him thinking he was measured for more than business.
“What brings you to our lovely town.”
It was something with how his eyes twinkled as he stretched the words out, something with how he swirled the whiskey in his hand and tilted his head watching Remus through his lashes that made Remus breath hitch. It could of course be Remus' wistful mind playing tricks on him, but it reminded him of previous encounters he had with men that had been bent the same way as him.
Remus licked his lips and smiled his nicest smile. “I’m looking for work.”
“What do you do?”
“Whatever needs doing. I was a hand at a ranch, but drought and a diminishing stock made me redundant.” There was no need to say he’d been on plenty of ranches before that one.
“Hm. The drought is as bad here as most of the country.”
“I know. But I’ve herd there’s work in the mines.”
“Planning to stay, then?”
Remus shrugged. “Maybe. If I find something worth staying for.” There was no need to say anything about his condition, and that he had to get on his way whenever anyone started questioning why he went missing every full moon.
“And what might that be?” The man leaned forward, resting one underarm on the table and lowered his voice. “A good time?”
Remus prided himself with being a calm and sensible man. But it was nothing careful with the way he copied the pose, batted his eyelashes and whispered.
“I might show you a good time if you help me find a good job.”
In a town where he didn’t know anyone, this was a dangerous game.
“Would a job at the mines do?”
Remus nodded. “Do you work there?”
“Not really. My dad owns them.”
Oh. This was a dangerous game indeed. But the positively thrilled smile on the man’s lips made him think he was doing alright at it.

Too Scary for You?
(Kill Somebody Like You Part Two Chapter Nine)
🔪Previous Parts Here🔪
Dom x Colson (Yungblud x Machine Gun Kelly)
Warnings: ABO dynamics (knots, slick, heats, mpreg), alpha serial killer/hitman Dom, omega mob boss Kells, cursing, past abuse, baby fic, past SA, teasing, mentions of weapons, mentions of murder, allusions to selling people, dad jokes, poor attempt of murder, threats, bad explosives, Dom in a rage, confused Kells, nervous family talks, putting the pieces together, new threats, hurt/comfort, enemies to lovers ❤️‍🔥 Rating: mature
All ideas helped by @iamnotanearthlingmotherfucker 🩷
Dominic woke the next day aching but happy until his mate started worrying about their office. He hadn't been in since Punk was born and the Alpha hadn't seen the need either. It sounded as if with the tv interview they did, everything was going a bit mental but the omega obviously didn't feel safe leaving their sons or the flat yet. He couldn't blame him, he didn't want them out on the street with those bastards in town. He wasn't sure what could be done but he offered to check in for him and that seemed to placate the boss. He was obviously fighting a war in his own mind that he should go but for all his bravery his inner lost boy was shining through. He'd been more shaken by the interaction the day before than he wanted to admit.
It didn't take Dom long to agree to check in though he wasn't sure what he could do specifically. He was reassured that Colson trusted him so much that his eyes worked as a second set for the man. The omega trusted that he would take care of anything wrong even though he knew fuck all about PR and even less about selling drugs or saving people. Mental fucking family business if you asked him. Kells didn't let him linger long after he agreed, the poor man was obviously stressed and pacing which was quite the sight with a baby strapped to his chest. A holster traded for a papoose. How quaint. Who would have guessed?
“Stop fucking staring at me you freak. Go check on our livelihood.” Col chuckled as he watched Dom standing at the door of their bedroom.
“Ain't me liveli’ood.” The killer teased back.
“Well you're not getting hits until this shit show smoothes over so guess what? Yeah it is. Don't you want Punk getting the best?”
Dom arched a brow and pursed his lips to the side. He knew it was a risk to keep playing too long but… “I fink our idea of ‘best’ is a bit different.” He laughed when his mate threw a spit up cloth in his direction but he dodged it easily. “Wha’? I'm jus' being ‘onest princess.”
“Princess? My fucking ass I'm the princess. Come say that to the dick you beg for!” The older man was still smiling even though it had an edge of exasperation. They were in a surprisingly good place for having a few week old baby and he damn well knew it. He just couldn't help worrying about the rest of his family.
“I can't! You was too spoiled by mine last night! Can't bloody walk straight.”
“You can't do anything straight bitch. I swear you sweat glitter and jizz rainbows.” The boss huffed and followed after his future husband. He wanted to kiss him and send him off but it was also difficult to let him go. He was having more trouble than he thought he would and he didn't know if it was their baby, his dad and uncle, or a clusterfuck of it all.
“You must got a fucking pot of gold in ya cunt by now ‘en.” If he came rainbows then Colson's womb was where it almost always ended up. That seemed to shock a harder laugh from the other man who shook his head as he got closer. The boy wanted to take him back to bed and stay forever, everything was going too well since their bonding session the night before and he was worried the other shoe was a shit kicker boot about to drop.
“Corny asshole. Corny. X rated dad jokes I fucking swear.”
“It's me right and your fault. You made me a dad.” The word still made Dom's stomach flip. It had never meant something good before in his life but now it was his label and it overwhelmed him every time.
“My fault? Absolutely not. It was this one. Isn't that right? You make your daddy say silly shit, don't you little man?” The omega wouldn't admit to the goofy saccharine voice he adopted when talking to their son but he curled his fingers around Punk’s little fist to help him wave.
“Me golden ticket to dad jokes.” The Alpha hummed, crouching down in front of his partner to kiss the baby’s forehead. Col took the opportunity to playfully pat the other's cheek with that so tiny palm which Dom kissed next. “Always after me lucky charms.” He put on his best Irish accent which was actually strong since he'd had some Irish family members. He wasn't sure why he made the comment besides knowing it would make his lover laugh and it did. Hard. More than he expected. Perhaps they should try sleeping instead of fucking some nights but he doubted they would.
“Fucking psycho bitch.” Col sighed with a bright smile and a loving gaze and Dominic stood to kiss him deeply. They'd both come to realize that insult had been a term of endearment since the first day they met. While it wouldn't be a meet cute to most it was perfect for them. It was their story and it started with teasing and blood and would probably always be that way. With one last kiss Colson watched his fiancé walk away, his sight dropping to Dom's gorgeous ass as he went. “Might have to give you back to Uncle Tommy or big bro tonight. Daddy needs to remember who's boss.” He playfully hummed down to his son. He liked the thought of having some time alone with the boy but he missed his Alpha as soon as the elevator doors shut. It felt stupid but he couldn't help it. Especially not after what happened the day before.
“Hey, bro?” There was a soft voice and a quick knock on the doorframe since they hadn't closed their bedroom door. Kells sighed but looked over to Mod.
“Fuck are you still home for? Shouldn't you be helping run my business?” He didn't mean to snap and there wasn't much anger in his voice but he couldn't help being annoyed. He thought he had the house to himself and his sons but of course not.
The beta looked nervously down at his computer under his arm and rubbed the back of his inked neck. He couldn't help smiling down at the baby in his little cloth holder though. “We thought we should stay in case you needed us. Besides we've been following a hell of a trail.”
“Stop rhyming. I get rhyming every damn night in those baby books. What are you talking about? Trail? What are you after even?” Col slipped the baby free of the papoose and laid him gently in his cot. He had a feeling he was about to have to sit and stare at a computer and that was easier without a child on his chest.
Mod stepped into the room and looked around outside it before closing the door. “Dom just left right?”
“Yeah.”
“Good cause Blain is in his room and this… fuck.” The other's voice was soft but even so Colson's stomach dropped. Why shouldn't Dom or Blain hear something? What the hell had he found out now? “Remember how you wanted me to get the kid’s papers?”
“Of course.” Col nodded and felt himself shaking. He gestured to the small sofa in his room and they took a seat while Mod opened his laptop.
“You're not gonna believe this shit. Tom and I still don't.”
🔪🩷🔪
Dom flipped the car keys around his finger as he reached the underground parking. He hadn't driven since the day Punk was born but Colson had suggested he try again and since the office was a ten minute walk they both thought it would be good practice. He was humming an old punk song under his breath and surprised at the pep in his own step. A few orgasms did wonders for a state of mind. When he reached the Bentley his partner owned his nostrils flared. There was a strange scent near the car like someone had been close to it recently. He clicked the unlock button on the key fob and tried to ignore the alarm bells ringing in his mind. He was being too alert he was sure, he was on edge because he knew there were enemies in his territory.
“Wha’ the fuck…” His cursed wonderment trailed off as he noticed something sticking out under the vehicle. His eyes scanned the room before he crouched down and pulled the contraption off a little too easily. It was stuck to the underside of the car with duct tape and while the punk in Dom loved the stuff, he was confused. It obviously wasn't supposed to be there, Kells wouldn't allow anything so cheaply done. As he flipped the thing over he realized what it was- or at least what it was supposed to be and he wasn't sure whether to laugh or growl. Someone had placed a rudimentary bomb on the undercarriage of his mate's car.
The smartphone strapped to the supposed explosive lit up from a call and the Alpha rolled his eyes, ripping the cords out with his fangs just to be on the safe side. He pried the cell off easily and answered the call, his gaze moving around the concrete room to catch any movement. “‘Ello. I fink you fucked up. Might you be me in-law?” He teased but he honestly didn't think Colson's bio dad would be this idiotic.
“Who? No. Shut up. You weren't supposed to answer!” The voice on the other end was obviously trying to sound deep and American but he caught the accent of home. His brow arched at the sound and the way it cracked. How young was this arsehole wannabe killer?
“But you called me! You ain't made a lot of ‘ese ‘ave ya? Tha's alright. I'll show ya ‘ow summat is supposed to explode when I get a’old of your insides. Who the fuck are you?” He growled low. He wasn't in the mood for games, he was already annoyed at the thought of having to leave his family.
“You're holding my bomb, I obviously get to ask the questions. I have the power here. You're in trouble Harrison, you killed the wrong person and stole from my family.”
Dominic didn't mean to but he couldn't help but laugh. “Right, I've got ya bomb so I fink tha' means I ‘ave the power actually. Sorry bruv but I've killed a lot of people, you'll ‘ave to be more specific.” He could feel his mind slipping to that darker state as he started prowling the car park. He didn't have a weapon on him but he didn't need one. If he could find this bastard he'd rip him apart bare handed. That sounded like exactly what he needed.
“You- you- stop messing with me. You know what you've done! You pissed in the wrong pint Dominic. You have a legion enraged with you but they let me come because you stole something of mine. I might go easy and just kill you if you give it back and turn yourself in. If not, I might have to take your bitch first.” That line made the killer see red and his senses felt turned up to eleven.
“Are we playing? ‘You killed me faver, prepare to die’? Nah. I killed me dad so I don't give a fuck if I killed yours too. I ain't stole nuffin. I might ‘ave let you go wiv a bloody warning but you fucked up. You don't talk about me mate.” If he squeezed the phone any tighter he was going to break it but it was hard to calm down. His bloodlust was making him tremble.
“You admit to killing your own father so easily? Just that is a crime against our family. You didn't just kill him though did you? You cleaned out almost all the Alphas that worked with him. You could have been something incredible one day but you're a broken Alpha. Turned against your own. For that crime and for stealing my promised mate I'll have your head Harrison.” Dom couldn't figure out what the hell he was talking about? Crimes? Family? Who was this bellend? “Give me Landon back and I might just let your bitch live. I may even leave your progeny to carry on your name. Perhaps the family would be happy to have another Alpha from your line. Landon and I can raise him as our own.”
Landon? Who- oh. “You're not laying a finger on me sons. But you should let me know wha’ family you going on about so I know who to send your pieces back to.” Dom growled. He was more than enraged. He was almost dizzy with his anger.
“Your sons? Landon isn't your son, he was your- Stop distracting me! You have one day to turn him over. You may keep this phone and let me know when you're ready to give your life and my mate to me. I'll let you say your goodbyes even though you didn't allow any of our people that courtesy. But of course that's what they get, allowing northern scum to join. Until then Harrison.” His prim and proper accent was making the man's blood boil but the moment the bastard hung up Dom cursed. He was still so confused but that last bit was just icing on the shit cake. He was always looked down on for where he was from.
The Alpha dropped the phone in his pocket and locked the car up again. He couldn't go out with someone threatening his family. The fucker knew his full name and Blain's, who the hell was he? What had they found themselves in the middle of now? What had he meant by family? His father worked with a lot of people, sure but… Actually Dom didn't know much of anything about what he father did or the friends of his he’d taken out after. He'd gone on a bit of a spree at first after his first taste of murder and he found every Alpha arsehole in his dad's phone book. He was starting to wonder if he'd missed something big and if his original confusion over Blain wasn't warranted. He could remember questioning why and how another Brit ended up in his vicinity. Had he been on to something?
He made his way back inside the Four Seasons and stopped at the front desk to ask if anyone new had been hanging around. The clerk was overly helpful and kind and he recognized the man as someone they'd saved the day his son was born. He talked to him for a few minutes and they even checked the cameras when he explained his lie of someone trying to steal their car but whoever had placed the bomb had been completely covered with a long coat and hood pulled over his head. Fuck.
“Fanks anyways. Keep an eye out for me aye?” He asked of the guy who agreed emphatically.
“Your family is getting quite the list of people not allowed on the property. We're happy to help though. I thought you should know the man from yesterday tried to come by again. He asked for Mr. Sebastian to be sent down. We logged his question and the footage and sent him on his way. We're keeping track in case Mr. Baker needs it for the police. I'm sorry we can't do more.” The way he sounded and the look he gave the killer made him wonder if the man wanted to commit crimes for them or if he was reading too much into it because his urges were too strong. Probably the latter.
“Ya did good. Fanks for telling me. Keep an eye out for anyone in tha’ coat.” Dom explained before finding his way to the elevator and back up to his home. He desperately hoped Colson wasn't pissed that he never left but he couldn't after what happened. Maybe if his mate was still worried about the office later he could leave for a bit if he knew his family was protected but he didn't think anyone else was still at home.
He realized how wrong he was when he reached the top floor and walked to the bedroom he shared with his lover. He could hear Kells talking to Mod which he knew meant Tom was also home. How weird. Their voices sounded stressed and he didn't want to interrupt but he needed to see that his family was alright with his own two eyes so after a deep breath to calm himself he knocked on the door.
“Shit! Who is it?” Col called out.
“Sorry luv, summat came up. Can I come in?” It felt odd to ask for permission to enter his own bedroom but after a moment his lover allowed and he walked in before closing the door at the other men’s urging.
“What happened? You okay?” Kells was nervous at the sight of his fiancé’s crimson gaze and furrowed brow. Had he been listening?
“Are you?” Dom was worried about his mate, the older man looked anxious but he took a moment to glance at his sleeping babe.
“Um… Just tell me what happened? We're fine.” Kells tried to soothe. He needed to check before he explained. He was scared to just dump it all on the boy since he didn't fully understand yet either. He didn't know what it would do to his partner.
“Some fuck put a shite bomb on the car. I talked to ‘im when he called to activate it.” He huffed, dropping the mess of the explosive on the coffee table in front of the sitting pair. Even Mod looked nervous. What was happening? “I fhought it were about you but now I fink it's about me. Twat said I killed a bunch of ‘family’ and I stole ‘is mate. Finks Blain is ‘is but he called ‘im Landon. He hates tha'. I'll ‘ave to ask if he knows any posh arse’ole.”
Colson shared a look with his brother and swallowed hard. After what the beta told him he wasn't exactly surprised. He hadn't expected something like this but at the same time he was almost shocked they hadn't had someone come after them sooner. “You might wanna sit down baby. Mod figured some things out.”
Dom looked between the two and felt his rage melting away on a rush of nerves and worry. He liked anger better but he couldn't hold on to it. Not when his mate was looking at him like that. “I’d like to stand fanks. Jus’ tell me.”
Col sighed and pushed a hand through his hair but he gestured to his best friend as he stood and stepped closer to his lover. He wanted to be close if Dom needed him. The beta clicked a few things on his computer before he set it on the table and bit his lip. After a moment he finally seemed to ready himself but first he texted Tom.
“Can someone talk? Starting to fink someone's dying or summat.” Dom teased but when the door opened and closed again behind him and his brother joined the group he was truly worried. It must be something terrible if they thought they needed all three of them. “Fucking talk. Now. Please Cols?”
When Colson heard his mate’s voice soft in that scared little boy way it got sometimes when he dropped the omega stepped closer and sat at the foot of their bed. He patted the mattress and after a moment the Alpha joined him but Tom walked around to sit next to Mod. “What did your dad do for a living Dom?” The photographer asked and the killer blinked at him a few times. What the bloody fuck did that have to do with anything?
“Dunno. I never fhought to ask when I was cutting ‘im open. Why?” He grumbled. He couldn't help almost sounding petulant.
“Be nice. It matters.” Tom huffed.
Mod turned the computer around and showed Dom the screen. It took him a moment to realize it had a picture of his dad with a group of other men on it. Other men he killed. “You didn't just join a crime family bro, you were born in one. Your dad was a pretty high ranking member of the mob there.” The beta explained as bluntly as possible and it felt like a punch to Dom's guts. What did that matter though? The man was dead.
“And all the-”
“Other members. I've seen Tom's blog. I know you took out almost every one of them. I get it dude, you thought you were just killing your dad's asshat friends but-” The beta chuckled. It obviously wasn't funny but what else could one do in this situation but laugh? “One by one you picked off almost every adult Alpha in this group before coming here. And they sent one of their last to find out where you went.” He explained, clicking onto another page and Dom recognized the man staring back at him as Blain's father. Bollocks.
“Wait so Blain could ‘ave been promised to one of ‘em fucks? Absolutely not.” He huffed. He wasn't going to think what he did was wrong. Those men needed killing. Part of him hated that they may have caused extra problems for his family but he still wouldn't change anything. It all led him to where he was.
“Actually…” Mod laughed again and Tom swatted the back of his head.
“We've been through much of the group's bank records and paperwork once we figured out what we were seeing. Blain might have been promised to someone else in word after what happened but before his father came after you. However, on paper…” Tom tried to take over but the pair shared a worried look and Mod pushed the laptop closer. After a moment Dom made himself look.
The Alpha couldn't believe what he was reading. The world didn't work like that. It was far too fucked up and he didn't want to believe it but he honestly wouldn't be surprised with his father. It was there in black and white and staring him in the face. A picture of paperwork they'd obviously found in Blain's father's stuff. “He's a baby compared to me.” Dom almost whimpered and he tried to swallow the pit in his throat as he turned to his mate who reached sweetly for his hand. The Alpha didn't feel like he deserved to be touched. He felt disgusting. It hadn't been his choice obviously but he was still a part of it. “Me father tried to buy Blain for me? As a bloody mate?!” Even saying it out loud didn't make it feel real but he thought he might pass out.
The universe worked in fucked up mysterious ways and somehow he'd unknowingly moved from mob to mob across the sea and he'd found his way to adopt the boy promised to be his mate from the day Blain was born. He couldn't get it straight in his mind and he didn't want to. “I guess everyfing exploded anyways.” He almost laughed. He could feel an edge of madness as he looked at the piece of shite bomb on the table.
Kells rolled his eyes and moved closer to his mate, wrapping his arm around the boy's strong shoulders. “Fuck that. Nothing is different. This just means Blain was meant to be ours. That you were meant to be mine. It's a good thing. Probably.” He tried so hard to soothe but he'd never been good at it. He could cheer his bitch up with some good head or fuck the pain away but talking it out? Reassuring him? He was lost. That was Tom's job but the man was leaving it to him.
“Liar. I jus’ dumped some bullshite on ya lap.” The boy muttered with a pout as Col pulled him closer.
“We'll figure it out together. It's not like you haven't been dealing with my shit for months. It's fair to share.” Colson teased.
“You said no rhyming.” Mod tried to lighten the mood and thankfully it made them all chuckle. That was the thing about their family, no matter where they came from or how their lives started out they took care of each other and faced dangers as one unit. It didn't matter what happened before or who was after them, they were all together and they all hoped that would matter most. It was certainly easier facing life altering madness with your family behind you, even if it was family that was screwing everything up.

So the plot is really starting to plot now. I'm sure they're not done being smutty boys but here is a little story in between 🤭 Poor Dom, he's feeling very overwhelmed with all this news. Let's hope he can handle it without going off the deep end. I wonder how Blain will react? We'll find out soon. I hope you're still enjoying it! ❤️‍🔥🩷🖤

ch. lix - i'm calling HR
hybrid!san × human!reader
buy me coffee ?
everyone wants to belong, it's basic human need to connect with people around them. what happens when you're responsible for someone who belongs to two worlds but at the same time belongs to neither ? worst part is, what happens when it's your ex ?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
"This is nice," you sighed as you sunk into the warm bubbly water.
San chuckled as he took a sip from his glass of champagne, "And you threatened to call the HR on me," one of his eyebrows was raised to poke fun at you. You squinted your eyes at him and poke his toned stomach with your foot in the water which San just chuckled.
You didn't realize that San had prepared a whole evening for you two. Initially, you thought that he wanted to just hang out watching dumb cat videos on youtube and then have a quickie. So imagine your surprise when you arrived at San's condo (using the keycard he gave you) to be welcomed with an ultra-fancy dinner (take out my ass) and a promise to take a dip in his gigantic bathtub that he had filled to the brim with bubbles, surrounded by candles, and with a bottle of Moet in an ice bucket and two chilled glasses. It really felt like he put an effort to plan the evening and it just felt nice to be treated like that. Even by your boss.
With a roll of the eye, you jokingly kicked his leg just hard enough that a bit of water splashed onto his chest. "I didn't threaten you, I promised you I would if you do something that pisses me off," you pointed out as you took a sip of your own champagne. "And what would piss you off? Giving you a luxurious experience you've never had before?" San smirked cockily as if to make the point that he was just being nice to you which means that you were wrong. "An experience I've never had before?" this time you raised an eyebrow at him, realizing that he didn't know much about your life, especially about your lifestyle, "This is probably only the fourth best bathtub I've ever been into." Surprised, San sat up straight and placed his glass on the side, "Excuse me, what do you mean fourth best bathtub? How many guys' bathtubs have you been into?" though he was only asking, he couldn't deny that there was a slight offended edge to his tone which was kind of funny to you. "I mean if I count the Aman Hotel in Tokyo, the Conservatorium Hotel in Amsterdam, and the Four Seasons in Anguilla, yours rank after that and honestly, you're only able to rank that high because you own your bathtub," the look of surprise and confusion on San's face was priceless. "The fuck?" he scoffed, "How do you know the baths in those places?" in hindsight, that question was a rather stupid one. But you couldn't blame San for asking what basically was a "how did you afford to experience such luxurious places?" question just less accusatory.
Though the question was a rather simple one, you couldn't help but feel a heaviness in your chest. The drop in your expression didn't go unnoticed by San (surprisingly). So he reached for your hand under the water, taking it in his gently as a sign of support and reassurance to whatever you had to say. You know that San didn't know and you know you didn't have to tell him anything. Heck, if you say you weren't comfortable being candid with him, you know he would understand it well. But you wanted to, you wanted to share one of the hardest moments in your life.
"My... My parents died in a plane crash," the oxygen was knocked out of San's lungs momentarily, not expecting you to say something that heavy. Immediately, his grip became significantly harder on you and you took it as his reflex when hearing a piece of rather uncomfortable news than anything else. "It was years ago, I think close to a year after our incident. My dad was sent on a business trip by his company and they had this trial deal thing with an old private plane charter company that was trying to make a comeback. Thinking that it was fancy and stuff, my dad took my mom and they didn't think to take me because my dad said it was just gonna be business talks among business people so I relented. Then their plane engine blew up mid-flight and it turns out that the pilot and co-pilot already addressed their concerns to the company prior to taking off but because they were trying to make a good name for themselves, they decided to check the issue after the plane landed in the destination." The water rippled and your eyes flitted to see San shifting to sit up and leaning closer to you, his focus was completely on you and he was waiting for you to let whatever you needed to let out be let out. "After the accident, the company initially didn't want to pay damages to my family while the charter company tried to pay my family some hush money. My uncle, who now took care of me and my family's finances, decided to sue and not surprisingly won since there were black-box recordings and records of negligence from the charter company and the company was liable because the charter company's vehicle report and trip records are public record and were even in their proposal, so we got all this money and all we had to do was lose my parents. While my uncle took some money for him to develop his academy, most of them were invested and left alone for me and I resented him for taking the money because it felt like they were just accepting their death," you chuckled darkly at yourself. Almost immediately, San pulled you in his strong arms with your face tucked into his neck. The water heater provided nothing in comparison to the warmth that San was giving you. You instinctively inhaled and you noticed that he smelled like musk, something woodsy, but there was a hint of sweetness to it. You liked it, it was comfortable, it felt safe.
For a second, San didn't say anything as his brain couldn't formulate the words that he wanted to tell you, the things that he wanted to convey to you. It kind of came crashing down on him, how hard your life has been after he left you and he never even thought to check up. At that moment, he blamed himself for thinking too much of his own hardships that he hadn't even considered that you would be in a predicament yourself. Of course, how could anyone expect 'parents dying from a plane crash' to be the problem, but he felt like it was such a dickish move on his part to not even consider keeping up with your life mainly because he claimed to have cared for you so much.
Wanting to be completely candid, San said the first thing that popped into his head.
"You meant to tell me you've been working for me just because? You didn't even ned the money? Your salary could have been reduced and it wouldn't have made a difference or you?" the slap you delivered to his chest let him know that his attempt at making you feel better was working and he couldn't but chuckle at your response. "Excuse me, my salary is pretty fucking justifiable considering the headache I have to deal with," you joked back. San faked a gasp and pulled back slightly to look at you, "Excuse me, did you just call me a headache?" to which you replied with a dramatic exhale, "Thank fuck you realized it on your own." With your comment, San pulled you into his lap, effectively surprising you as you settled with a yelp and your hands on his shoulders. "Take that back," he demanded, eyebrows furrowing in faux anger and knowing that it was so, you scrunched your nose and shook your head at him, "I don't think I will."
As quick as your quip, San pulled you into a kiss, bodies now flush against each other. You moaned into his mouth at the feeling of his lips melding with yours. San is a rough guy by nature, and now you were more aware of how it became so, but you loved how his kisses were soft and careful, seemingly calculated even but never complicated nor overly planned. It was odd that you were so fixated on the way he kissed, but with all the shit he spewed on you during your first week of work, it's nice knowing that it can do great things too. San's hands slowly trailed down your body and settled on your ass, giving it a light squeeze that made you gasp. "Is it weird if we have sex now?" he asked as his lips moved to litter kisses all over the lower part of your face. As a response, you simply shifted and sunk your cunt onto his hard cock, shuddering as you go down. San paused momentarily to watch the look on your face as you took him in with no trouble. He just loved how the candles illuminated your soapy skin, making it seem like you were glowing and perhaps you were and San was just glad to be able to see it.
Just as San was about to grip your hips so he could fuck you, you reached for both of his hands and took them out of the water, spreading them gently on the edge of the tub before pecking him on the lips gently. "You've done a lot for me tonight, let me show my gratitude." San's pupils dilated when he saw you lean back with a smirk, one hand placed gently on his chest as you began rocking. With everything going on, San didn't know where to focus first; the feeling of water splashing on his skin, the smell of sex wafting in the air, your cunt hugging his cock, or even the sound of you letting out the cutest little moans and pants as you work him. God, he felt powerful in that position for no reason. San wasn't a power-hungry person per se, nor was he obsessed with dominance. But at that moment, seeing you pleasing him, he do wonder if it was how full hybrids feel especially those who were born as alphas. He knew animal instincts during sex could win over his own basic human instincts (heck, he had his own experience with it), but this is a new feeling and you brought it out of him.
"Fuck, you're enjoying fucking yourself on me, aren't you, little bitch?" he groaned, bucking his hips out of the blue that almost had you toppling forward with a gasp. "Yes, San, yes- fuck!" you duck down and began nibbling on his milky skin, leaving trails of red marks down the side of his neck to match the red lines your nails left on his chest. "Can I please cum?" you whined lowly, wanting to cum as soon as your high hits. Feeling rather gracious, San slipped a hand down your body, tweaking your nipple, then pressing the pads of his fingers directly on your clit to give you more stimulation on top of having his dick in your cunt. It felt so so good, the extra friction that was caused by his stagnant palm.
It didn't take you much to throw your head back and cum on San's dick. Although San would've liked it more if you warned him, he couldn't complain when he had your chest shoved to his face. When he came not long after, he made a show of taking your whole left tit in his mouth, sucking it harshly while his cum made a mess inside your cunt. "God- San!" you whimpered, body doubling forward and draping over his. Your body tingled and visibly shook with the feeling of San's warmth inside you and his mouth turning your nipple raw.
When you came down from your high, you pulled away slightly to cup San's face gently. There was a string of saliva that was attached from his lips to your nipple and when he looked up at you, he looked oddly innocent and even adorable even in such a promiscuous position. He was looking at you with such curious eyes and at that moment, you saw him as himself. Not as corporate leader San, not as a Choi Family Pack member, not even as wolf hybrid San, but as Choi San. He had every reason to not want to listen or know anything about you and your past but he spent his time listening to you which was how you were able to see the glimmer of the old San in him. The San you fell in love with, the San who was just so sweet to you and wasn't a jerk despite coming from such an affluent family.
Neither of you said anything, simply basking in each other's after-sex glow in such a romantic setting. San felt safe enough to close his eyes and enjoy the feeling of your soft touches on his cheeks, caressing the area lightly with care. Then you surprised him, making his heart skip a beat and his breath hitch by giving him a soft peck on his forehead. His hands immediately wound around your waist and gripped you tightly.
Silence remained between the two but that's because both of you knew that no words were needed. No words could describe or explain what was going on between the two of you. The moment was just there. It was perfect. For that moment.

tw cancer, tw death, tw grief / life update
I was having a nice day on Saturday. I woke up, made a tea latte, did some yoga, went for a run, went to get groceries.
Around 3 PM I got a call from my mom and aunt, letting me know that the hospice nurse said that they expected my dad to have 24 hours or less to live. This was a huge change from previous estimates of a week-two weeks. Derek and I booked airline tickets same-day from Minneapolis to CA. Our flight wasn't until 9:30 PM.
We were at the airport, past security, waiting for our flight to board, when I got the call from my mom saying that my dad had passed.
I had prepared for this since he was diagnosed 10 months ago - I had prepared for this since he started hospice - I had prepared for this since the last time I saw him in April - but I still wasn't ready. I thought I was ready, I thought I would be ready, but I wasn't.
Derek held me when I broke down weeping in the middle of the airport. We flew 3.5 hours to CA, were on the road for another 1 hour, and got to my parents' house at past 1 AM. It was hell. It was a hell day.
The hell got worse the next day when we saw his body at the funeral home. I walked to him and automatically said "Daddy? Daddy?" like I always used to, and he didn't respond. He didn't say anything. It was hell. The worst thing I've ever been through.
My aunt and Derek had to go back to home (Pennsylvania and Minneapolis respectively) yesterday. My mom and I attended my dad's funeral today. Seeing the hearse, driving behind the hearse, was really hard. My dad taught me how to drive, and I used to sit in the backseat when he and my mom drove me around when I was a kid, and now I was driving behind the funeral hearse.
My mom and I were so nervous about the funeral, but it was beautiful. It was at a veterans cemetery, peaceful and quiet and beautifully maintained. The ceremony was beautiful. It gave us peace and closure.
My dad was 70 years old. He grew up in Chennai, India, in abject poverty, the youngest of seven kids, raised by a single mom. He grew up to become a pharmacist, and moved from a couple of decades of retail pharmacy work in India and Dubai and the United States, to moving to outpatient and inpatient clinic pharmacy management after he enlisted in the Air Force. He loved pharmacy so, so much. He was so passionate about it. His last job before he retired was an oncology pharmacist, at the same chemotherapy infusion clinic where he ended up receiving his chemotherapy after a diagnosis of small cell lung cancer.
My dad grew up in poverty, and his own dad was never around. He worked hard and provided for my mom and I.
I have had a lot of pain and grief ever since my dad was diagnosed with cancer. I could write for pages about it. All I can say is that I hope nobody has to see a loved one suffer and lose their life due to cancer, because it's hell to witness. I have the greatest empathy and love for others who have witnessed this painful process in their family.
All I can say is my only consolation is that my dad lived a long life. I know there are so many people who tragically die younger. My only other consolation is knowing that we are all united in grief, because this pain of losing a loved one comes to all of us someday.
This past few days, this past month, this past 10 months, has changed me irrevocably. I have new fears, new anxieties, new understanding (and fear) of death and mortality.
I also have more understanding and appreciation of life, how temporary it is, how important it is to live life to the fullest while we can, and how important it is to appreciate the people we love. My husband, my friends, and my aunt and cousins have been so supportive, carrying me through something so devastating. Even work, even my boss, who has been so understanding.
And to everyone on tumblr who has been so supportive during this journey. People who read my posts, who liked them to show solidarity with my feelings, who commented, who sent me messages of support and kindness. Thank you.

💛[Chapter 21: Problems end… and new ones begin. P. 3]💛
At the moment when the second Endless turns around and reveals her crying niece, she manages to move her Siblings with the little girl's cries, an unmistakable sign that she was alive and healthy in her new home.
—Congratulations, little brother. —Death exclaimed, her smile illuminating the space, as she cradled the baby in her arms— It's a beautiful girl.
Everyone longs to burst into joy, but they must remain calm for the sake of the Dream.
—My little one… —whispered the monarch of Dreams, exhausted but firm, keeping his eyes fixed on the girl who was sobbing in the arms of her midwife and aunt.
With a delicacy that borders on the ethereal, Death carefully hands the baby to who will be her "mother." Before welcoming her into his arms, he summons a celestial blanket, embroidered with constellations, which wraps the girl as if she were a fragile porcelain doll. Protected by the stellar blanket and lulled in her arms, Dream immerses himself in a sea of tears of uncontrollable joy.
A joy that spreads like a sweet epidemic among the siblings gathered to welcome the newly arrived princess. Delirium and Destiny approach Dream, filling the void left by Desire, who, with a hint of reluctance, has discreetly retreated.
—We have a beautiful girl, love. —Hob says with a smile, leaving a soft kiss on his partner's cheek as he looks at his little girl. —Hello, little princess, your dad is here.
—What name will you give her, my lord? —Lucienne asks, approaching the couple with curiosity and excitement, seeing that Despair had overcome her bad time.
Dream looks at the little girl, then at those present, at his partner and father of the girl, and at his tiny princess, who, to the general amazement, had calmed her crying and was now resting serenely, with her closed eyelids barely trembling.
—This little girl appeared to us in a dream, proclaiming her name and the mission she will fulfill in the future. —he said with a serene voice. —Hob and I can now discard the list of names we had; She has chosen hers.
Anticipation fills the room, all eyes are on waiting for the revelation.
—Dear siblings, Lucienne and Matthew, —he announces, receiving a warm hug from Hob and turning him attention to the audience.— it is with great pride that we present to you our beloved daughter: Dawn Gadling, who is also acclaimed for her distinguished title: Dawn of the Endless.
Joy danced around the room like a magical carousel, capturing everyone's gaze towards the little girl who, with her rose petal skin, eyes full of wonder, a cascade of brown hair and finely sculpted features, captivated everyone with her innate grace.
So captivated were they by the new member of the family that Desire's silent goodbye faded away unnoticed by anyone except Matthew, who witnessed it with a mixture of amazement and perplexity.
Desire, having accomplished his task, was ready to honor his agreement. Everything had gone smoothly and there was no longer any purpose in staying there. The intervention of the Fates had been effective, avoiding any disastrous outcome. What reason was there to stay longer?
The raven, lively and curious, soon followed the Endless to the room of secrets. He found it at the right moment, just when their fingers were about to touch their glass heart. —Is it your time to leave?
With a calm expression, the Endless's golden gaze fixed on him, lacking the usual mischief. —I've finished my job here, Matthew. Everything has ended.
—Is everything resolved now? —inquired the raven with a caw that revealed its annoyance— What about apologizing to my boss for that prank of yours?
—I have presented my apologies; However, his reaction depends on him. I was just looking to make up for my mistake, that's all. —they say with a coldness that contrasts with the warmth of the previous moment.
Matthew tries to reply, but a sudden glare seals his beak. And so, without further ado, Desire of the Endless fades away, leaving the Dreaming empty and everyone in suspense.
The raven, oblivious to the presence of another Eternal behind him, hears a voice.
—Calm down, Matthew. —Despair murmurs from the shadows— They will know why they are leaving. Better take care of my brother, okay?
With a gesture of respect, the bird responds: —Of course, your majesty. —And with an elegant bow, he takes flight towards the refuge of his leader.
As soon as she sees the crow return to her brother, now a mother, she looks suspiciously at her twin's glass heart.
She wants to face them and get into it, but first she has to maintain discipline. In short, she has to say goodbye to her siblings, something she plans to do right now, before meeting her twin.
[💛💛💛]
As soon as Desire entered their kingdom, they were overwhelmed. Although they had resolved the big conflict with their brother and everything had ended well, Desire was emotionally exhausted.
⟪I promise you that I will not interfere in your life again and I assure you that, after this, you will not see me again.⟫
⟪I hope that one day you can forgive me.⟫
They only remembered the essentials: their mission was to rescue their brother and the new member of the family, their niece. Exhausted, they fell to their knees and, not caring if anyone heard them, gave way to a sea of tears.
They were not worried that their impeccable skin would be affected by the tears that were to come, after recognizing that it was likely that they would not exchange a word again, as a result of that prank that they now considered their worst mistake. Although they had made amends for their fault, they had the feeling of having lost everything.

And we're back for more of me begging you to watch Our Dining Table
So...I'm just gonna brain dump into this post some of the things I liked about this episode/the show. It's definitely going to have spoilers, BUT YOU SHOULD ALREADY BE WATCHING!!!
Before we get to spoilers though, I just HAVE to share these Behind the Scenes gifs, of the the Minoru and Yutaka actors being so precious with the actor who plays Tane.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
First, Papa is just wonderful this episode (Tane & Minoru's dad, I don't know that he's been named in the show, and I'm too lazy to look at mydramalist to find out. I'm just gonna call him Papa). He's been great the whole show, of course, but this episode where we get a little more history of Minoru, I really have enjoyed his interactions with him. In previous episodes where he very clearly can see that Minoru has special feelings for Yutaka, he's been a great and silent wingman, giving them space and alone time. In this ep, with the 'fallout' from the confession, we see him still giving space to Minoru, but not just letting him off the hook, which I think is important. He's recognizing that Minoru is a grown man, he's able to do as he pleases, but also making a point to be available for Minoru. I also think, based on the expansion of Minoru's history, that he's recognized that Minoru needs space to work through things, and he's trying to enable that. And that could be because he found himself grieving in a similar way, or because he recognized it when watching Minoru deal with his grief while also having to be there physically, mentally, and emotionally for Tane. Overall their relationship, while not frequently conversational, is clearly strong and likely only strengthened by the grief they've had to work through from different perspectives.
Tumblr media
On a related note, Minoru's boss at the ramen shop is excellent. He's given solid advice this whole time, and appears to very much be an all around decent guy.
One aspect of the show I really like, is how they've been working the pasts of Minoru and Yutaka into the present. How they use flashbacks, and how those expand on what we're seeing present day. The flashbacks to Minoru and Tane's mom are instrumental in how we perceive Minoru and how we read his behavior, especially with Tane. And clearly, the flashbacks to Yutaka past and how his interactions with his adoptive family, as well as the loss of his biological parents so young, have had a very strong effect on who he is now. But seeing the sort of missed connection moment of Minoru, Yutaka, and Tane soon after Minoru and Tane's mother died was honestly an inspired piece of storytelling to me. A lot of us are watching this show as older people (I'm in my 30's). Maybe we have children, maybe we don't but we're for the most part adults, and the interactions from all of the adults with Tane, do a lot to tell us about the type of people they are. That's something that's honestly kind of true in general. It's as the saying goes- "You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat someone who can offer them nothing."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And watching this scene with the tantrum and Minoru's reaction, Tane of course is my first concern, because he's a child. I recognize that in that moment Minoru is acting the way he is because he's still pretty deep in his grief, but he's also the adult in that situation, and his handling of it isn't perfect. But, no parent is perfect, which makes the situation even more relatable. But also, the point or lesson that I get from the scene, is that Minoru sees Yutaka approach Tane and treat him with such kindness and care, and it is the boost/reminder that he needs to be doing the same. This stranger who knows nothing about Tane or their situation, took the time to be kind, and as Tane's brother, someone who knows him and loves him dearly, he should be striving to do the same. And part of me wonders if that moment, beyond being the first encounter with Yutaka, may have also been the turning point for Minoru becoming the type of parental figure he is for Tane in the present. We see clearly in the show that Minoru very purposefully treats Tane much the same way we see Minoru's mother treating him in the flashbacks. There's some difference, but the baseline of how they interact is remarkably similar. And it just seems to me that this barely two minute interaction is part of the catalyst.
Now, one thing I'm interested in, and this may be clearer in the manga, is if Minoru is out in any form prior to the start of the show essentially. Because we see the girl who's interested in him, but he has no interest in her, and I'd imagine if he was publicly out, she wouldn't have that delusion. But Papa doesn't seem to question Minoru's interest in Yutaka, but is it because he's just suspected, or because Minoru has come out to him? I don't know. And knowledge of the answer wouldn't likely change much in my perception of Minoru, I'm just curious.
My last point...does anyone else get the vibe that Yutaka is Aro? His reaction this week to the confession was very much "people don't feel this way about me??" And this of course can be directly attributed to his trauma from his adoptive parents, and the loss of his biological parents, he doesn't see himself as loveable, so the whole idea put his brain in error mode. But beyond that, I just get the idea that the confession itself makes Yutaka look at his own feelings, and he's almost surprised at the effect that Minoru has on him. As someone with direct experience...lack of data when trying to work out your sexuality (meaning never really having feelings like you see in movies or described in books for ANYONE) makes it remarkably difficult to determine overall. So it just seems very realistic to me that Yutaka being aromantic, wouldn't have ever really encountered a situation like this, and so he really has no idea how to handle it. It's this new knowledge that he may have romantic feelings for Minoru AND the fact that these feelings are for a man. It just feels intentionally like much more than the trope of 'I'm not gay, but I'm gay for you' that we see in a lot of East Asian BL. (I am aware that trope exists for a reason, mainly to help get around censorship issues.) In terms of the story overall, I don't know that it particularly matters whether Yutaka is Ace, but more representation is always good, because people deserve characters to relate to, but also I feel like it gives a little bit of additional depth to Yutaka's character. Like, he does recognize that Minoru is very handsome upon their first meeting, but I truly don't feel that he started to fall for him until like episode 3, when he got to know him more.
Tumblr media
Also, vaguely off topic, but I love that the kiss is revealed to be a kiss on the cheek. Like, I know we can sometimes complain about using clever camara angles so actors don't actually have to kiss, but the reveal that it was a kiss on the cheek makes it so much sweeter to me.

Don’t Settle for Less- 6taro/Star Platinum and Jolyne/Stone Free
Wrote quick fic that takes place way later in my fanfic- Void Walker. This deals with 6taro and Jolyne re-bonding after surviving the events of Made in Heaven. Their Stands are fully sentient and Star Platinum goes by She/her due to my personal head-canon that Jotaro values the women in his life greatly (mom, ex-wife and daughter) therefore his Stand goes by feminine pronouns.
This deals with time shenanigans and everyone is alive sort of deal.
Small CW of bad boss who treats his employees bad, other than that, mostly just soft caring bonding time.
about 2.1k words.
It was two-thirty pm on a Thursday night. Jolyne had a few weeks off while Gloria's restaurant was being cleaned and refurbished from the fire Anasui started and that Weather put out. It was a rainy day, so Jolyne decided to hang around her father's house as he worked in his office, texting her mom that she'd see her tomorrow afternoon. Jotaro was neck-deep in his paperwork, having missed several months of research due to having Star and his memories removed. Apparently, his boss was on his ass due to how much time was lost from his absence. Not even the Speedwagon Foundation could smooth it over due to how big of a prick he was.
Jolyne and Stone Free were mildly impressed. Someone that wasn't afraid of her terrifying behemoth of a father and his unwavering stubbornness? Impressive, but less fun and kooky than Synth. Much Less. Stone Free mentioned that Star Platinum could have easily broken the man's bones like a toothpick. Star didn't like that suggestion but agreed that this man had been awful since Jotaro met him. They laughed at the time, remarking about how the world was full of dense morons who couldn't tell they were close to getting their knees kicked in by an invisible spirit.
Still, Jolyne felt irked watching her dad get hounded, especially after everything that happened. Stone Free felt the same, complaining to her till she finally confronted Jotaro the previous night. They argued, though argue was a strong word. Neither had raised their voice, and Jolyne didn't get into his face like she used to. They had both talked calmly and reasonably for once, though Jolyne did vent some of her frustrations to her dad. "It's not fair to you, dad." she had stated, folding her arms as Stone Free nodded beside her.
"Life isn't fair, Jolyne," Jotaro hummed sadly.
Star, Stone, and Jolyne wrinkled their noses at that, all agreeing that it was a poor excuse. They then threw what Synth had said at him like a live grenade, "And that is not a reason it should ever be accepted. We can choose to change our world, and this should be one of the things changed."
"Give me a break," Jotaro had murmured before saying, "Let me think on it for a bit."
Jolyne was playing 'Go Fish' with Stone Free and Star Platinum as her dad worked in the office room down the hallway. Star could finally move past her two-meter limit and maintain form for about an hour or two. She was vicious at this game, somehow able to guess what cards were what with just a glance-
"You're cheating, aren't you?" Jolyne suddenly muttered, tossing another five at Star Platinum, who was smiling a bit too wide.
"No!" she defended, "I would never cheat!"
Stone Free rolled her eyes and looked at Jolyne, "She's watching the textures to the cards. Probably memorized them since these are Polnareff's from when Jotaro went to Egypt." Star blushed several shades of fuchsia at that and suddenly started averting her eyes. "See, told you," Stone Free clicked her tongue twice before reaching over and snagging an ace from Star's hands. "Don't worry. Two can play at that game."
Harrumphing, Star stuck her tongue out and snatched a card from Stone Free's hands. Jolyne chuckled as they both began carefully fighting over the cards, tossing her hand down once they started to wrestle gently. She would have quickly joined in if she knew she wouldn't phase through Star and hit the ground like a sack of potatoes, given the nature of Stands and all. But the feeling of something large grabbing her while not physically being touched left her feeling awkward.
Still, Jolyne watched the entertainment as mother and daughter played together. A wide smile framed her face before she was pushed to the ground as Star Platinum pinned Stone Free effortlessly. Jolyne's Stand struggled for a minute, trying to get the upper hand, but Star was quicker and stronger than her, deflecting the attacks like they were nothing. 'Stone, you're not going to outpower her!' Jolyne shot across their mental link, 'You need to use your strengths against hers!'
'And what do you think I should do? Turn into string and net her-?' Stone Free fell silent before a soft 'Oh' rang out. Stone Free's body dispelled instantly, causing Star Platinum to crash into the ground. Stone Free maneuvered her string body within seconds into a tightly knitted trap, ensnaring Star Platinum. Looking around wildly, it took her a moment before realizing she couldn't move. Grunting, Star squirmed about on the floor like a caught fish.
Jolyne laughed and went to make a snarky remark when there came a loud crash from down the hallway. Everyone froze and slowly looked over to see Jotaro face fist on the ground, halfway out of the office doorway. "Jolyne...." came a muffled groan from the man, "Please let Star go. I'm on the phone in here...."
Gulping loudly, Jolyne reached over and tugged on the stunned Stone Free, who quickly unraveled and released the larger, more purple Stand before reforming into her more solid state. Jotaro grunted at the release of pressure and slowly clambered upward like a rising mountain. Ready for him to scold her as he usually did, Jolyne was shocked when all he did was turn around and go back into his office with sagging shoulders and tired lifeless-looking eyes.
"Jesus, that man really is taking the piss out of him," Jolyne murmured. Stone Free nodded in agreement before bending down to help Star up, who seemed suddenly melancholic. "Is it that bad?" she inquired to the great Stand.
Star refused to say anything, watching the door Jotaro closed with a haunting look, clearly in tune with her user. Jolyne harrumphed and folded her arms but said nothing. Though inside, she wanted to throttle the leech of a man and yank her dad free of his hold.
But this wasn't her fight. If her dad were so determined to keep this job, it would take an act of God himself to pry him from his chosen course. Still, she debated calling her ace up her sleeve to sway her father into being... less stressed. Especially after everything that happened
---------------   Quietly pulling the door shut, Jotaro returned to his desk and took a deep breath before picking up the white phone again. "I'm back. My apologies for that." Sitting in the chair, he tried to relax into the leather but found himself sitting straight up and picking at a small nick in the wood of his desk. A bad nervous habit he was picking up after the Pucci incident.
"What was that all about?" his boss growled, seeming even more irritated than before.
"Just my daughter roughhousing in the next room-" Jotaro explained.
"Your daughter? What is she doing over there? Isn't your bond in the trash can?" Matthew grumbled, the sound of something tossed in a metal bin reverberating through the phone. Jotaro wrinkled his nose. Clearly his boss was day drinking again. Star's irritation matched his own, but he could feel her thoughts suggesting to explain further, hoping to make his boss understand the situation or somehow read the room better.
Jotaro obliged to his Stand's suggestion, "Yes, we've just been working on our....relationship a bit." Looking over at his fish tank, he watched the tropical angel fish dart to and fro in the aquarium. Perhaps reading his agitation, Jotaro suppressed a 'good grief.'
"Ain't you a bit late for that?" his boss laughed dryly, making Jotaro grit his teeth in anger. Star prickled like a rising mother bear on the other end of his subconscious, fury coursing through her mind and comingling with his own.
Jotaro had wanted this job ever since he was a teenager. It was the highest-paying job for his specialty, with many world-renowned marine biologists hailing from them. It was his dream to be here. Funny how dreams can become nightmares. Even though he had made a name for himself in his research on whales and sharks, his boss Matthew fought him every bit of the way. Mocking, bickering, belittling, sabotaging. The piece of shit had done it all. They butted heads so often that most people fled when either of them were in close proximity. It was only in recent years that Jotaro mellowed enough not to rise to the bait every time Matthew tried to crawl under his skin.
Or maybe it was just the depression kicking him into the dirt, as Synth explained.
But right now, his anger was flaring to life like he was seventeen again. It wasn't so much the jab at his poor parenting skills that was gutting him, but more so that indication of him trying to mend the rift he caused was a worthy enough reason to laugh. Jotaro tried to calm himself, repeatedly counting the fish in the tank till his blood began to cool off. That's when he heard Jolyne ask Star, "Is dad going to be okay?"
His anger boiled over, causing him to snap like a rope pulled too taut.
Suddenly standing up, causing his chair to tip over as he rose, Jotaro tutted loudly and glared at his wall full of awards and achievements. Once, they were a source of pride and accomplishment. Now, they mocked him for time wasted.
"Don't settle for less," Synth had said once.
Matthew was still talking on the other side, blabbering on about how his kids were ungrateful little shits, utterly ignorant to Jotaro's wroth.
"I quit."
"What?" Matthew sputtered in shock. The sound of him dropping something, probably another can of booze, was loud and clear as day.
Jotaro stood there for a second, stunned at his own words, before they settled on him like a metal coat of armor. "I quit." he reaffirmed with more confidence.
"You can't-"
"I can, and I am." Jotaro eyed the Speedwagon Foundation's number with a hungry look. "Good grief, I've had enough of you. Finish the job yourself. I've got better things to do." Slamming the phone onto the receiver with a flourish before Matthew could say anything more. Jotaro put both his hands on his desk and breathed deeply. Star was buzzing on the other end of his mind, practically cheering at him.
He shook slightly for a second, letting the thrill of being free fill him up to the brim. Snatching the phone again, Jotaro dialed the number he knew by heart. It rang once before it was answered. "Dr.Kujo! What can we do for you?" Serenity answered. Her voice had never sounded so good before.
"I just quit my job and need a new one. Is that offer from before still available?" he calmly asked. The Speedwagon Foundation had wanted him for years, practically rolling over and begging him to join them. He knew they'd jumped at the opportunity to have the strongest Stand user fully employed under them. Hell, he was sure he could ask for a raise if he really wanted one.
Serenity gasped and fumbled with the phone, clearly astonished. "Y-yes! of course, Dr.Kujo! Shall I compile the applications- er- the jobs we have available for you?" She was floundering, clearly scrambling, but he didn't care.
"Yes, that would be great. Send them to my email, and I will respond by tonight." Jotaro reached down and grabbed his chair, hauling it back upward.
"Ye-yes, of course! I will send them immediately!" Serenity was practically abuzz.
"Thank you." and with that, he hung up. Sitting down in his chair, Jotaro pulled his hat off, ran a hand through his hair, and stared up at the ceiling as he reclined backward. "Shit, that felt good," he murmured before looking over at the door and the hushed whispers leaking down the hallway. "Mmmm."
Standing up, Jotaro readjusted his hat and exited his office. Jolyne and Stone Free were trying to pry information out of Star Platinum, who was practically dancing in place. His daughter looked up at him with worry and a bit of trepidation. "Do you remember the number for that Chinese takeout joint you like?" Jotaro asked. Jolyne nodded dumbly, clearly confused. "Good, I just quit my job, and I believe that requires a good meal in celebration."
The way her and Stone Free's eyes lit up in delight, both of them bolting upright and racing off to grab the phone in the kitchen, was something he'd never forget, a memory ingrained in the back of his eyelids to combat even the worst of days.

🍦 ⇢ name three good things about a character you hate
I am legitimately drawing a blank on a character I truly hate. But I’ve done a similar exercise for Michelle Blake in a previous ask game — a character I’m not crazy about — so maybe I’ll take a page from that book (and universe) and tackle a character I’m aggressively meh about: Eddie Diaz.
Let’s see…
Christopher. Obviously. Christopher is hands down the best thing about Eddie, IMO. But he’s a good dad, and clearly works hard to be — to put Christopher first, to do what’s best for him, to give him a life that’s full and happy and inclusive.
I think he’s a good friend when he tries. Bosco would probably say otherwise, all things considered, but he cares about the family he’s built for himself and his son, with Buck and Carla and the 118.
He’s working to overcome his wartime trauma. Despite everything that happened, and the fact that he’s the last man standing, he chose to come home and make a life of helping people, and I think that’s admirable.
🥝 ⇢ do you lie a lot? what's the most recent lie you told?
I think I lie a normal amount? How are we quantifying a lot? There are lies of self-preservation that I think everyone tells in some way, shape, or form — the sorry, I have a boyfriend to the random guy in the store who won’t leave you alone, the I didn’t see your text to that message you don’t want to reply to, or just the old I’m fine when you’re anything but. And there are the lies of ease or omission, which just sort of pop out sometimes. Like yesterday, when I was late for work due to a number of reasons — I had a low tire and had to stop for air (which I told my boss), there was an accident (which didn’t directly affect my commute), and I’d stayed up way too late reading a fic and just got a late start (which, naturally, I didn’t mention at all).
🦋 ⇢ share something that has been on your heart and mind lately
These days it’s always work. My company got acquired right before the pandemic, and our parent company continues to make life hell. I enjoy the work I do. I love the people I work with. But I’m still wondering if it’s really worth all the stress (and, honestly, being this underpaid).
Thanks, Michelle!

|| Ch. 10: Coming Back Home ||
After Jungkook and Luna woke from their nap, Luna got right back to nagging Jungkook to take her back home. He continued to resist until she called him “Jungkookie” once more and broke him. He reluctantly agreed to take her home, but assured her at the first sign of trouble he would take her away no matter what.
She was adamant about him not going with her to her parent’s house, but he was much stronger. As a compromise, he agreed to take his bunny form and she would tell them she wanted to show them her new pet. She still hates the idea but accepted it since it was an easier lie than trying to explain bringing a strange man home.
Her parents don’t live far from the portal, so it takes no time to get there by bus. Their home is cozy and cute with a small front and backyard complimenting the two bedroom residence where Luna grew up.
They welcome her with open arms and endless kisses. Luna has always been close with her parents, so it’s not often that she goes more than a few days without talking to them. They spend the first hour simply catching up on their day to day lives.
“Who’s this?” Luna’s mom asks petting Jungkook whose nuzzled comfortably in Luna’s lap.
“This is my new pet bunny, J-um-Kookie. Yeah, Kookie,” she says.
“Kookie? That’s cute.”
“Yeah,” Luna chuckles. “Too bad he’s evil.”
Jungkook bites her finger in displeasure.
“You little shit!” She shouts grabbing him and getting ready to throw him until she sees the confused look on her parents faces. “I mean, we still have to work on some training since he’s just a baby,” she laughs nervously.
“I see,” her dad says with a raised brow from his recliner a few feet away.
They chat a bit longer until Jungkook starts getting restless. That’s when Luna finally leads into asking them what she really came here for.
“Have you guys ever encountered a vampire before?” Luna asks taking them by surprise.
“A…vampire?” Her mom asks giving her dad a worried look. “Why do you ask?”
“It’s just that some weird things have been happening lately…”
“Weird things like what?” Her dad asks.
“I think my boss may be a vampire,” she says softly. “It’s hard to explain. I was just wondering if you guys had come across one before.”
Her parents both look at each other with a worried look on their faces. Jungkook remains in Luna’s lap with his ears perked up waiting for their response.
“Luna, sweetie,” her mom starts. “There’s something you should know.”
“What is it?” She asks feeling her heart drop at the sight of their concerned faces.
“You know my best friend I told you about? The one that’s like my sister?”
“The one you named me after? Yeah, you’ve told me a lot about her.”
“Well…the night you were born she came to our house in hysterics. I had no idea what was going on, but I knew something bad had happened to her. She was weak and bleeding from a bite mark in her neck. We had never seen anything like it before. She told us that a vampire attacked her and somehow she was able to fight him off and run 2 miles to our house, but he had already bit her. We didn’t know what any of that meant, we didn’t even know vampires were real. We didn’t know if she would turn into a vampire or die, but we tried our best to clean her up and offer her safety until she felt the vampire was gone.”
Luna looks on running her fingers through Jungkook’s fur listening to this story her mother has never told before. She can tell by the look on both of their faces that this is something that hurts them deeply. Her mom takes a deep breath and continues telling her story.
“She stayed with us for about 2 hours before she felt she may have lost him. Unfortunately, her condition only worsened in that time and she had become so weak that she could barely stand.” She pauses trying to hold back tears. “I don’t know how she did it,” she says through the knot in her throat. “But with the last bit of strength she had, she managed to give birth right there in our living room.”
“Birth?” Luna asks in disbelief.
“A beautiful baby girl. A daughter I promised I would love and protect with all of my heart. A promise I made to her as she took her final breaths.” She takes another moment to calm the trembling in her voice, but the tears are still flowing endlessly. “Luna, my dear, the moment you came into this world was the moment that vampire found us. I don’t know what he wanted with her, or why he had to chase her down the way he did, but she begged us to run and take you somewhere safe. So we did.”
“What are you saying?” Luna asks through her own barrage of tears. “Are you telling me my actual birth mom died the night I was born?”
“We weren’t sure if the vampire would come for you, but we didn’t want to take the chance. We ran until we couldn’t anymore.”
“Your birth mother,” her dad says taking over the conversation. “Was gone by the time I went back the next morning.”
“Gone as in she disappeared?” Luna asks.
“No, sweetie,” he says softly. “Gone as in gone.”
“So let me make sure I understand what you’re telling me,” Luna says through tears. “My mom was pregnant with me. She was bit by a vampire. Gave birth to me. Then was killed? And you took on the role of my parents?”
“We wanted to tell you when the time was right,” her mom cries. “But we never knew when that would be.”
“My red eye…”
“I’m so sorry, Luna.”
“But…who is my real dad?”
“He was taken first,” her dad says slowly.
“Who was he?” She cries beginning to raise her voice out of pure shock and confusion.
Her dad gets up from his seat and grabs a picture off the wall. He walks over to Luna and points to a man standing in her parent’s wedding picture she grew up looking at all her life.
“My cousin,” her dad says. “Met your mom at our wedding. We were all so happy when they announced they were pregnant with you. They named us godparents, and that’s why we took care of you as our own after that night. I know this is a lot, but we don’t want you to think that we ever loved you less all these years.”
Luna feels overwhelmed, so much so that she’s not sure what she feels. She’s trying to process so much at one time. She’s learning that her parents aren’t really her parents, and vampires are the reason why.
“I’m part vampire?” Luna whispers finally accepting that Jungkook was right.
“We’re so sorry,” her mom repeats. “We didn’t think you had been affected until your eye turned completely red.”
Luna looks at the saddened faces of the people she spent 25 years thinking were her parents. She can feel the pain in their hearts as they recall the events of the night she was born. The night her biological parents were killed. She puts Jungkook to the side and wraps her arms around her mom tightly. She then stands and does the same to her dad.
“I love you guys so much,” she cries. “This is all so much for me to process, but I don’t know where I’d be without you. Thank you for loving me.”
As the three gather on the couch hugging each other and crying, Jungkook begins to feel a change in the air. He slowly jumps from the couch and surveys the room trying his best not to catch anyone’s attention. He can feel how emotional this moment is and he doesn’t want to do anything to get in the way.
He wanders near a window and listens for any sounds outside. It’s quiet for a moment, then he begins to hear rustling nearby, and the sound of at least two people, or maybe a horse, walking around the house. Then shushed voices ring through Jungkook’s hypersensitive ears.
“This is the place, right?” Asks one voice.
“Yeah, see? It’s on the radar,” says another voice.
“Nice, I thought Choi was just bluffing to save his ass.”
“What do we do with the humans inside? They can’t witness us going through the portal.”
“Do what you want. They’re not important.”
Upon hearing the conversation, Jungkook springs into action. He runs back to Luna and jumps into her lap. She and her parents are still wiping each others tears and expressing love endlessly. He bounces in Luna’s lap a few times trying to get her attention.
“What is it?” Luna asks looking down at him.
“Did he get spooked by something?” Her mom asks sniffling.
He bounces a few more times then runs back to the window. Luna follows him and looks out the window.
“I don’t see anything,” she says.
Jungkook runs towards the back door where he can sense the presence of the two guys. He turns back to Luna and nudges her ankle back towards the living room. Her parents aren’t sure what’s happening but before they can ask an explosion of glass blasts through the back door.
“What the fuck?!” Luna shouts picking Jungkook up.
Two menacing red eyed vampires come quickly barging into the house with complete disregard for everyone and everything around them. Luna’s dad tries to stand between them and his family.
“Luna, right?” One of the guys asks. “You’re coming with us.
“Who the hell are you?” Her dad asks.
“None of your concern,” the second guy says pulling out a large katana and swiftly slicing right through him from his left shoulder through his right hip.
“DAD NO!” Luna shouts as Jungkook jumps out of her arms and quickly transforms back to his regular form.
“Luna!” Her mom shouts.
“We don’t have time for this!” The katana wielding vampire shouts swinging at her mom.
Jungkook pulls out his gun and quickly shoots him right in the chest turning him to ash before he can make contact with her mom.
“We have to go!” Jungkook says grabbing Luna’s arm. He looks at her mom ready to take her away with them but the other vampire hits her with a strong force throwing her into the wall while picking up the katana.
“MOM!!” Luna shouts through tears reaching for her mom.
Jungkook aims his gun and shoots the guy right between the eyes, but not before he throws the katana striking Luna’s mom right in the neck. Luna is in hysterics as her dad lays on the floor in two pieces and her mom is pinned to the wall struggling to take her last breaths.
“Mom!!” Luna yells running to her side. “Please hold on, we can get help or something,” she says holding her mom’s hand.
“You have to get out of here,” her mom says barely above a whisper.
“No I’m not leaving you!” Luna cries squeezing her hand tighter.
“It’s too late for me. Get out of here, Luna.”
“Mom, no!”
“I love you.”
“Please,” Luna cries. “Please!”
“Take care of yourself.”
“Please!” She cries collapsing to the floor as her mom takes her final strangled breaths.
In the distance Jungkook can hear more footsteps. He’s not sure whose footsteps they are, but he can’t take any chances now.
“We have to go,” he says softly trying to get Luna to stand.
“I can’t,” she wails still clutching her mom’s unmoving hand.
“Luna, I’m sorry, but we have to.” He picks her up and locks her legs around his waist, then runs out of the house trying his best to muffle her cries.
He knows there’s more vampires on their way to find her and he needs to get her back to Korealis as soon as possible. The entire time he’s carrying her, she’s clutching at his chest heaving and struggling to breathe as the image of her mom and dad’s lifeless bodies remains stagnant in her mind.
She just learned that her birth parents died the night she was born at the hands of vampires. Now she just watched the people she knew as her parents for her entire life get killed by vampires. Nothing makes sense and right now all she knows is pain.
Jungkook arrives at the portal and quickly transports the two of them back to Korealis. When they arrive and he puts Luna back on her feet she can’t even move. Her entire world was just shattered right in front of her eyes. She can’t stand, she can’t speak, she can hardly breathe. All she can do is continue crying and wailing into Jungkook’s chest as he holds her tightly.
He stands there holding her a moment allowing her to get all of her emotions out. When her knees grow weak he holds her tighter to keep her up and nestled into his chest.
“I’ll take you back to my place,” he whispers into her hair.
As he’s done before, he carries her out of the station and to the roof. She’s not even able to see around her as they go from roof to roof. Her eyes are completely clouded with tears. Her heart feels like it’s been ripped out of her chest, and she has no idea what she’s supposed to do now. Her whole world is gone.
When they return to Jungkook’s room he lays her across the bed where she curls herself in the fetal position soaking the pillow with her tears. He sits next to her softly rubbing her back in an attempt to soothe her, though he’s not quite sure the best way to make her feel better after what they just witnessed.
“I’m really sorry,” he says softly. “I wish I could have done more.”
Luna tries to speak but no words come out, only more strangled cries breaking through her throat. Her entire body feels like it’s burning from the inside out.
It pains him to see her like this. He doesn’t know what he could say to ease her agony. For once he’s wishing she would go back to hitting him and calling him a demon, he found amusement in that, but now it’s like he can physically feel her pain, and it’s unbearable.
He wipes a few of her tears from her face and decides to transform back into his bunny state. He curls up next to her allowing her to run her fingers through his fur. She wraps her arm around him and pulls him closer. He nuzzles himself under her chin allowing her tears to fall to his back. She lets out a small whine and continues petting him and holding him close.
Shortly after, Luna falls asleep finding a small bit of comfort in being cuddled next to Jungkook. When he feels she’s deep enough in her sleep, he carefully climbs out of the bed and returns to his normal form. He leaves a bottle of water next to her then quietly leaves the room.

Wishlist for Hazbin Hotel Season 1 (And Later)
With half year left till the series officially start (hopefully!), I would love to share my thoughts and opinions about what could happen in the story regarding characters and plot. They are all just my guesses and some wishes, headcanons if you will. Without further ado, let’s go!
CHARLIE
We have to start with the main character, don’t we?
Charlie being smarter than we all expect. Please, give a moment or situation where she outsmarts Alastor! Maybe another deal or bet?
Seeing more of her demon powers!
Charlie’s attempts to spread the news about the hotel and getting a couple of sinners who are willing to try it out, making them third plan characters.
Charlie and Vaggie being a sun and moon couple.
Flashbacks to Charlie’s teenage/early years living with her parents.
Charlie in the office doing manager/boss/director of this place paperwork. Unless she knows what she’s doing from similar previous experience or she’s been taught management and business, I expect to see her struggling with it. Some angsty moments when legal issues happen (at least, Hell’s equal of legal). I would love to see her parents give her advice or send her a professional to help with this. Speaking of which…
Screentime for Lucifer and Lilith! Perhaps a phone call or something small at first where they would actually interact with Charlie for starters. Oh! How about this? Somewhere near the end, like few episodes left till the season’s finale, we could see a shot where all Hell’s royalty attends an annual gala or some formal and regal event (perfect opportunity to make Paimon, Stolas, Asmodeus or another HB cameo). I’m imagining that someone from those royals could, in a mocking way, mention to Lucifer and Lilith that they probably are so proud of their daughter’s endeavors. (Charlie would not attend that event for it being too preposterous to her). Then we cut to Lucifer saying to Lilith “How about I pay our daughter a visit?”. After that, Lucifer would appear in the season finale, being one of the last shots. For instance, Charlie hears a knock on the hotel door and opens it, seeing her father, who smiles and says “Hello, Charlie” or something cooler that I cannot think in the moment. Then we cut to black and end the first season. That would not only be a great homage to Alastor’s arrival in the pilot but could stir some mystery. Will Lucifer accept Charlie’s intentions? Will he wish to close and demolish the hotel for making him seen pathetic in other demons’ eyes, hence the sin of pride? Did Lilith tell Charlie about Lucifer’s arrival beforehand? That would be answered in the start of season 2.
VAGGIE
Let us add the badass love interest who shines her own light.
Vaggie being in charge of the hotel more so than Charlie.
Seeing her fight and use her weapon capabilities.
Her being a protective gf while Charlie is oblivious, for example, moving a wire so that Charlie wouldn’t trip.
Vaggie constantly bickering with Angel and Alastor. As the season goes on, she finds it to be more fun than annoying.
Flashbacks to her live before death. What was her life, what did she do to be in Hell and how did she die?
Story of how she and Charlie met and fell in love with. Plus, what was she doing before the hotel?
ALASTOR
My favourite overlord, what I have in store for you.
I want to see him making that Jambalaya!
Alastor being a corny/dad joke kind of guy throughout the whole season.
Seeing snippets of Alastor’s radio show.
Alastor’s development in compassion to Hazbin and it’s residents. Bit by bit, he would start to care about Charlie, Vaggie, Angel, Husk and Niffty (others not so much), catching himself in the middle of the season like “Goodness my! Why do I care if she’s sad?”. Then Alastor would heighten his guard up and become cold hearted, similar to pilot. Perhaps he would make some sort of terrible decision regarding hotel or Charlie which he would regret by the end of the season.
Him and Vox making fun of each other, having little battles here and there, their score being equal.
Seeing more musical numbers from him!
Seeing Alastor struggle with modern media references. Could be a gag about someone mentioning something like “Instagram, Iron Man, Twilight” and so on while Alastor pretends that he understands it/doesn’t care. Imagine explaining Twilight to him…
Flashbacks to his live before death. Why did he become a murderer, what was his family like (importance of mother), how he found his passion for radio?
ANGEL
Well, here we have a comedic yet tragic character to discuss.
His whole season arc could be about chilling in Hazbin while still being under Valentino’s control. With each episode, he would have a harder and harder time between choosing Hazbin (new friends, possible redemption and zero need to be over sexual) and Valentino (job and setting that he’s familiar with, some sort of fame, no need to change himself). By the end of the season, Angel would be at a crossroad of which path to embrace now.
Flashbacks to Angel’s live before death. Was he that involved with sex, did he have a partner, what was his family like?
I would love to see Angel teasing Alastor about all kinds of dirty stuff and surviving. The whole season he would remark on various sexual topics while Alastor can’t kill him because he promised that to Charlie. Seeing Alastor freeze or blush would be a highlight not only to him but to us.
Angel being a fashion icon. “Girl, those earrings with that top? No no no, we need to change those”.
Angel being besties with Cherri.
Seeing Angel’s alone moments when his “funny, dirty, charming” façade drops and he struggles with his life decisions.
Although he died only about 10 years later than Al, he would know all the up-to-date pop culture/media references, usually being the one to make them.
MISCELLANEOUS
Category where I decided to put characters that I don’t have much to say…yet!
Would love to see the reason why Husk and Niffty are in debt to Alastor. (Plus, how many poor souls like those two are there?)
Husk being a grumpy father figure to all. (I think he is supposed to be older than all of them, besides Charlie, in years?)
Niffty being a happy go lucky clean freak.
All of Cherri’s backstory, how did she befriend Angel.
Sir Pentious’s development from cartoony villain to an ally of Hazbin.
Seeing more of Hell’s TV, Internet and apps.
Seeing Hell’s live from different kinds of livers there (sinners, overlords, royalty).
Learning more about Heaven, the percentage of goodness to be accepted there, how do angels work.
Seeing Vox, Valentino and Velvet in action and their powers.
Overall, exploring new locations.
That’s all, folks! A share of my hopes for the series. If you would like, I could make more parts in the future. Of course, I would love to hear your thoughts! Have a fantastic day, my friend!

➤ find something worth saving (it's all for the taking)
EPILOGUE: SATURN
← back to chapter list
SUMMARY ↳ Welcome to your happy ever after. pairing: jon kent x gn!reader x damian wayne warnings: implied/brief sexual content wc: 2.9k
Tumblr media
“What if they don’t like me?”
“Their opinion of us is pointless, Jon.”
“Are you talking about my friends, or the society as a whole?”
“Saying ‘society’ makes it sound like a cult. But, everyone.”
You sigh fondly at Jon. “Jon, there are, like, hundreds of us. You won’t even get to meet all of them.” Your hands brushes back his curls from his face. His head rests on your chest, looking up at you. “And my friends will like you. I promise.”
“This is scarier than meeting your dad,” he grumbles, closing his eyes at your touch.
It was only recently that Tony asked to meet your special someones. At first, he was quite against the idea of you spending time in the other universe when he had just got you back, but when you explained the situation (vaguely) he reluctantly let you go.
You jumped between universes for a couple of weeks before he finally asked to meet the two. You never thought you’d see Tony Stark give your boyfriends the shovel talk because of you, but you’ve lived through stranger things. To be fair, he only kept up the charade for a moment before leaning back and giving a casual smile.
“I trust [Name]’s judgment,” he had said. “If they see something in you two, then I guess that’s how it is.”
Damian, while having not said much the entire ordeal, had instantly and subtly relaxed at Tony’s words. Jon on the other hand, had obviously brightened up, feeling validated by Tony's acceptance. You remember that moment vividly—the relief and warmth that spread through you as Tony, in his own way, acknowledged and accepted your relationships with Jon and Damian. Not that you really had any doubt he would.
“Just wait till you meet Natasha. That’s the real final boss.” Maybe it was a little mean, but the way he gulped was cute. You turn over to Damian, taking in a moment to admire him. His bare skin glows under the rising sun. He’s on his side, head holding his arm up as he looks at you and Jon. You want to take the blanket covering him and pull it off.
“She’s actually a bit of an assassin. Maybe you’ll bond over that,” you tease.
Damian arches an eyebrow, a hint of amusement flickering in his eyes despite his attempt to maintain a stoic demeanor. "Bonding over our own techniques, how charming," he remarks dryly, though there's a subtle twitch at the corner of his mouth, betraying his amusement.
You chuckle softly, running your hand through Jon’s hair. “If anyone gives you trouble,” you say, referring back to the previous subject. “I'll swoop in and rescue you." You give him a reassuring smile.
“I’m Superboy,” he says haughtily. “And Damian’s Robin. We’re already awesome.”
"Or, you could just be yourselves," you reassured him. "That's all I ever ask."
His expression softens, and he leans in to press a gentle kiss on your lips. "I know, baby," he murmurs, a soft smile spreading across his face. You smile against Jon's lips, feeling a rush of affection for both him and Damian. Damian shifts beside you, breaking the moment as he stretches lazily. You and Jon break apart to oogle at the way his muscles shift under the blanket.
He gives you both a knowing look, as if he's aware of the effect he has on you. He gives you both a knowing look, as if he's aware of the effect he has on you. "I trust your judgment, [Name]," Damian says quietly, his gaze softening as he looks at you. "And I appreciate your reassurance." He sits up, the blanket pooling around his waist.
You smile, feeling a surge of warmth at Damian's words. His trust means a lot to you, especially given his typically guarded nature. You reach out to gently squeeze his hand before turning back to Jon, who's now grinning mischievously.
He shifts, moving his legs further between yours. Your thighs fall open around his hips, allowing him closer. “Jon,” you chuckle, feeling a familiar spark light up in your stomach. He grins as he tucks his face into your neck, nipping and kissing.
“We have a couple of hours,” he mutters.
“That last time we had a couple of hours, you two broke the bed,” deadpans Damian.
You chuckle softly at Damian's deadpan remark, recalling the somewhat eventful aftermath of your last encounter. Jon lifts his head, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "You should've bought a better one," he protests with a grin, leaning in to kiss Damian.
Damian rolls his eyes good-naturedly, a smirk playing on his lips. "Perhaps this time we should aim for a more durable surface," he suggests, his tone dry yet hinting at a subtle invitation.
You raise an eyebrow at him, a playful challenge in your eyes. "Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting, Damian Wayne?" Your voice is low, teasing.
“Counter sex?” pipes up Jon excitedly.
Damian inclines his head slightly, a smirk tugging at his lips. "I'm merely considering practicalities," he replies, his gaze flickering between you and Jon.
“Counter sex,” confirms Jon to himself, hopping off of the bed and picking you up. Your legs wrap around his waist as he takes you out of the bedroom.
Damian follows suit. “Lay a towel down. We still cook there,” he mutters. “There’s some in the bottom cabinet.”
You raise a brow at him over Jon’s shoulder. Damian smirks slightly, a glint of playful challenge in his eyes. "I'm always prepared," he quips, his tone light but tinged with a hint of suggestion.
Jon laughs, throwing an arm around Damian's shoulders. "He's not kidding," Jon says with a grin, leaning in to press a quick kiss to Damian's cheek.
You shake your head fondly at them, feeling a rush of affection for both of them. "Alright, you two," you say with mock seriousness, "let's not break anything this time, okay?"
Damian raises an eyebrow, his smirk turning into a grin. "No promises," he replies, his gaze flickering mischievously.
Jon chuckles, leaning in to kiss you again, his touch warm and reassuring. "We'll be good," he murmurs against your lips, his tone playful yet sincere.
As Jon sets you down on the counter (towel under you), you wrap your arms around his neck, pulling him close for a lingering kiss. Damian joins in, his hands sliding around your waist, his touch both confident and gentle. The moment is charged with anticipation and affection, a comfortable closeness that speaks of trust and shared intimacy.
You hope they don’t leave too many marks.
Tumblr media
The expressions on Jon and Damian’s faces mirror the ones they wore when they first saw the portal. Awe and apprehension. You grab their hands and pull them in, letting the swirl of hue pull you in.
Nueva York is as beautiful as it is bountiful in technology. The cityscape sprawls before them, a blend of futuristic marvels and bustling streets. Jon's eyes widen in wonder, while Damian's gaze sharpens, taking in the unfamiliar surroundings with a mix of curiosity and caution.
As you lead them through the bustling crowds, Jon leans in closer to you, his excitement palpable. "This place is incredible," he breathes, his eyes darting around to take in every detail.
Damian remains more reserved, his instincts on alert despite his outward calm. "It's... different," he remarks, his tone measured yet intrigued.
Many Spiders spare them a small glance before moving on. Your boys aren’t in their uniform, per your request. A good majority of them will have DC content in their universe, and you figure Jon and Damian will appreciate less attention on them.
“Come along now, my dears,” you tease, pulling them into an elevator. You, of course, take your place upside down, sticking to the ceiling. You watch as their eyes take in the view from the large window. As the elevator ascends, Jon and Damian remain in awe of the breathtaking view of Nueva York, their eyes wide with wonder and curiosity. The blend of futuristic skyscrapers and bustling streets below creates a vibrant tapestry of colors and lights, a stark contrast to the familiar landscapes of their own universe.
“Right here,” you say, hopping down to walk out of the elevator. The doors opens to reveal many Spiders, mingling and lingering about. You guide them down the hall, exchanging some light greetings.
“This is crazy,” breathes Jon.
“This is the lobby,” you smile. You gesture out to the intermingling hallways and walkways, designed for only Spider’s to navigate with efficiency.
“Welcome to Spider-Society,” you sing. The sight of countless Spiders swinging through the air and conversing in their unique way seems to leave Jon momentarily speechless, while Damian's eyes sharpen, cataloging every detail.
As you approach a large, open area, you see a familiar face approaching. Jessica Drew, one of the senior members of Spider-Society, gives you a warm smile and nods to Jon and Damian.
"[Name], good to see you," she says, her voice friendly. "And these must be your guests from the other universe?"
“Hi, Jess,” you smile. “This is Jon,” you point at the smiling boy. “And this is Damian,” you point at the stiff boy. “Jon and Damian, this is Jessica Drew, AKA, Spider-Woman.”
Jon smiles brightly and extends his hand to Jessica. "It's nice to meet you, Jessica," he says warmly.
Damian nods politely, his posture still a bit guarded. "A pleasure," he adds, though his tone is more reserved.
Jessica shakes Jon's hand and nods to Damian. "Welcome to Spider-Society," she says. "We've heard a lot about you two. [Name] speaks very highly of you both."
“Where’s Miguel?” you ask.
Jess rolls her eyes good-naturedly. “Brooding in his lair, where else?”
You chuckle at Jessica's remark, shaking your head. "Of course he is," you say with a hint of fondness. "Well, I'd like to give them a small tour before we dive into any serious business."
Jessica nods, a knowing smile on her face. "Take your time. I'll let Miguel know you're here." She gives Jon and Damian one last friendly nod before heading off.
“And that’s where I come in!” chimes LYLA, materializing next to you. Jon jumps slightly at LYLA's sudden appearance, while Damian's eyes narrow in curiosity, studying the holographic AI. LYLA smiles brightly, her avatar flickering slightly.
“This is LYLA,” you smile, watching her wave. “She’s the AI assistant Miguel created. She helps us all out.”
“What is it with you and AI’s?” mutters Jon as you’re led through the containment tunnel.
You shrug. “It’s less of a Spider thing and more of a genius thing.” The self flattery is not subtle. “Though, Spider’s and geniusness are kind of one in the same.”
“And these are…?” prompts Damian, eyeing the holographic cages.
“Anomalies,” you chime. LYLA glitches next to you. “The ones that ended up in the wrong place, like I said before.”
“That’s a straight up rhino,” points out Jon, looking at a straight up rhino.
“That’s like, the third one I’ve seen end up here,” you hum in acknowledgment. You spot a blue avatar humming away near the system. “That’s Margo.” You wave at her. “That’s her avatar. Her body is back at her home dimension.”
“And that’s–” you point at the Go-Home machine, “–the Go-Home machine.”
“Great name,” murmurs Damian, crossing his arms.
You feel the need to clarify. “I didn’t get to vote on it.”
“It detects what universe you're from using your DNA and sends you there,” hums LYLA. Jon and Damian follow you and LYLA through the dimly lit corridor, their curiosity piqued by the unusual surroundings.
“Good luck,” sings LYLA, disappearing from view as you stop in front of a door. It opens revealing Miguel’s little set up. Thankfully, his platform is already on the floor, so you don’t have to sit through it lowering to the ground.
Miguel looks over his shoulder, holographic screens surrounding him. “[Name].”
“Miguel,” you greet, raising an eyebrow at his attempt to remain mysterious. “This is Jon and Damian. The ones I told you about.”
He hums, turning back to the screens. Jon rocks back and forth on his feet awkwardly. Damian narrows his eyes. You sigh.
“He’s still just a little bit pissy about the whole ‘multiverse collapsing’ thing,” you stage whisper.
“The what thing.”
Miguel shakes his head. “I’m not pissy–”
“No, they’re right. You’re pissy,” comes a voice, steadily getting closer. A familiar pink fluffy robe comes into view, a high pitched laugh following.
“Peter!” you greet with a grin.
“Hey, [Name],” he smiles, Mayday in his arms. He turns to Jon and Damian. “Hey, [Name]’s boyfriends.”
“Hey, Spider with a baby,” greets Jon, raising an arm.
“That's Peter, and that’s Peter’s daughter, Mayday.” You point at each person accordingly.
“Nice to meet you, Peter,” Jon says warmly, his smile genuine as he greets Peter and his daughter.
Damian nods politely, his demeanor still reserved but respectful. "Peter," he acknowledges with a nod.
“Oh, you kids are so polite. I hope Mayday grows up to be as nice as you,” he quickly turns his attention to Miguel. “Don’t worry about Miguel, he just looks scary. No bite at all.”
“Peter,” Miguel grumbles as a greeting.
“He’s the only Spider-Man that isn’t funny. We’re supposed to be funny.”
“Well he is funny,” you hum. “Just not on purpose.”
“Anyway,” Peter waves his hands, “Miguel was wrong, the multiverse isn’t gonna collapse–”
“Is anyone gonna tell me what that’s about or–”
“–And we are happy to have you here,” he smiles. Jon and Damian exchange a glance, seemingly trying to process the whirlwind of introductions and banter. Peter looks at you. “The other kids are in the lounge. You know the one.”
“Thanks, Pete,” you nod, grabbing your boys’ hands and leading them out of the room. “Stop brooding, Miguel! It’s not good for your age.”
“I’m not brooding–” The door closes on your way out.
“You know, Miguel actually reminds me of Batman,” you chuckle. Jon smirks at the way Damian’s nose wrinkles at the comparison.
“Are we gonna talk about the whole multiverse collasping thing?”
“Maybe later, sweetie.”
You lead them to a familiar door. Behind it is the lounge you and the other ‘Lings dubbed your own, filled with personal comforts and commodities. The door opens, and you loudly announce your presence. “What’s up, bitches?”
Hobie raises an arm from his place on the couch. Pav drops down from a web-hammock and Gwen and Miles poke their heads out from the mini kitchenette.
“Ooh, is that who I think it is?” smiles Pav.
“Spiderlings,” you call, motioning to your boyfriends once again today, “Meet my boyfriends.”
Hobie gets up from his position, arranging his lanky limbs to walk over to your group. “These the youngin’s that are givin’ Miguel grays?”
“That’s Hobie. Hobie Brown.” you smile, fist bumping him. “He’s not a hero because calling yourself a hero–”
“–Makes you a self mythologizing narcissistic autocrat,” nods Hobie. “You get it.”
Jon and Damian exchange glances, their expressions a mix of amusement and curiosity. Jon's eyes light up with excitement, while Damian's remain guarded but intrigued.
“Nice to meet you, Hobie,” Jon says, extending his hand.
Hobie gives Jon's hand a firm shake, his grin wide and genuine. “You too, mate. Anyone who can handle [Name] must be somethin' special.”
Damian nods politely, his posture still tense. “Likewise,” he says, his tone measured.
“Hi, new guys!” grins Pav, waving. “Pavitr Prabhakar. Everybody calls me Pav.”
You point. “Gwen Stacy.” She waves. “Miles Morales.” He raises a hand.
“Robin. Superboy,” Miles states, pointing at each of them.
You suck in a breath, looking at your boyfriends. “Yeah, you also exist as comics in his universe.”
Jon chuckles nervously, exchanging a glance with Damian. "This is... surreal," he admits, his voice tinged with both amusement and disbelief.
“Go easy on them,” you warn your friends.
Hobie smirks, his eyes twinkling with mischief. “No promises, [Name]. But we’ll try.”
The lounge is filled with chatter and laughter as your friends and boyfriends exchange stories and get to know each other. The initial awkwardness melts away, replaced by a comfortable camaraderie. You watch as Jon and Damian slowly start to relax, their genuine interest and curiosity shining through.
After a while, Gwen gestures towards the large windows overlooking Nueva York. “Come on, let’s show you guys the view. It’s really pretty.”
Jon and Damian follow your group to the windows, their eyes widening in awe as they take in the sprawling cityscape. The blend of futuristic architecture and bustling streets creates a mesmerizing sight.
“It’s like something out of a sci-fi movie,” Jon breathes, his voice filled with wonder.
Damian nods, his gaze sweeping over the city. “It’s... remarkable,” he agrees.
You join them at the windows, slipping your arms around their waists. “I’m glad you like it. There’s so many beautiful universes I want to show you.”
As the sun begins to set, you bid goodbye to your friends. It’s time to go home. Jon and Damian seem to share the sentiment.
The comfort of your shared home invites you in as you settle into bed with your boys. You smile, “Thank you. You both mean a lot to me, and I wanted you to see this part of my life.”
“Thank you for sharing it with us,” mutters Damian, face tucked into your neck.
Jon leans in to press a gentle kiss to your cheek. “We love you, [Name].”
“We do,” promises Damian.
You close your eyes, savoring the moment. “I love you both, too.”

Some Americans don't even want you to be able to use YOUR OWN space in a way that doesn't even affect them!
My family is lucky to have nearly 2 acres of land. When my grandfather was in the last years of his life and needed assistance, instead of shunting his off to a nursing home, we moved his trailer onto our property.
We had to put all kinds of signs up about what was going on because of where the water/sewer and electric hook-ups were it put his trailer 10 feet from our house and was therefore a fire concern. (this had been done before by the previous owners) by county law, we had to have a meeting with the count bord to let our neighbors have their say because of the possible fier hazard. Hence, the aforementioned signs plastered everywhere. (Just as a note, I do not live in an area with an HOA)
The meeting with the county board gets underway. My dad took the day off work. His boss took the day off work because he lives in our neighborhood. Four other people show up.
My dad explained that my grandfather was in his late 70's and had some health problems that were only going to get worse. He was in a good place at this point, but we didn't know how long that would last. We wanted to move him while he was well enough that the move wouldn't disrupt his health when it got to the bad part. My grandfather didn't speak because he couldn't stand that long, and he was too tall for the mic to reach.
One man somehow got it into his head that this was a tactic to subdivide our lot and bypass county regulations. He made his opinion of us and our "ploy to make this area part of city limits."
None of us had ever even spoken with him. This man knew nothing about us. He didn't even know which plot we live on.
My dad's boss spoke on our behalf. As he was speaking, the conspiracy guy interrupted, accused my dad of bribery to get his boss to speak. Which came darn close to my dad's boss and this guy starting a fist fight.
The county board allowed us to move my grandfather on our land. But we had to go through the process again every 3 years. For nearly 12 years. And he was against it every time.
6 months after my grandfather passed, we were coming due for the next meeting. My grandfather had donated his trailer in his will to the fire departments for an emergency shelter for families who lost their homes. My dad kept the date to inform the county of the time the trailer would be moved.
Conspericy man wasn't happy he was getting what he wanted (the trailer gone) and couldn't complain about us anymore. This was 12 years ago! He still gets pissed when he sees dad in the convenience store. And yes, he did vote for Trump. He sells Trump merchandise. 😑🙄

Chapter 1
A broken heart wasn’t meant to send you into enemy territory at one in the morning. But try telling my wolf that. He heard the name Vail, and he was ears forward and tail up. Ready to charge into the devil’s den. Didn’t care that my blood claw was still wet with my dad’s blood. That he’d called her my ruin as his life drained out of him. Or that the last time I’d seen her, she’d been full of Wolf Fire, and writhing on a bed with my lieutenants. My wolf just wanted her scent in his nose and her wrist marked up with his claim. And if he couldn’t have that, he wanted his teeth at the throat of whoever had taken her from us.
I’m a little hazy on the end of the previous book, but didn’t it end with Jasper telling Vail to fuck all the way off?
Why is he suddenly panting after her again?
“You made sure she has no idea who she is. And the one thing she was saddest about at the academy? How clueless she was. About our world, but mostly about herself. That’s all on you.”
And yet, Jasper himself never once stepped up and tried to teach her.
Pot, kettle, black.
“You’re wrong. She’s still a nobody. And she and I aren’t anything to each other.”
Then why are you here?
“Lie to yourself, Alpha, but you know what else you smell like? Her mate. And if you don’t do exactly what I tell you, she’ll be dead before she’s eighteen.”
Chapter 1 summary: Jasper goes to a diner to meet up with Vail’s… the narration says that he’s not her father, but IDK what else to call him. The man who raised her, until he himself had to disappear.
Despite Jasper having dropped Vail at the end of the previous book, he goes anyway. He knows that it’s probably stupid, but he kind of doesn’t care.
Inside, Michael tells Jasper some about how dangerous that Vail’s bio grandfather actually is. That she was kept safe where she had been, until she was sent to the school. (So go yell at Driftwood.) He wants Jasper to keep Vail safe. Jasper insists that she’s nobody to him, but that earns him a slap from Michael. He warns that if Jasper wants to keep his mate, he’d better act fast. Or else Vail won’t live to see 18.
Chapter 2
“You come by my place tomorrow night. Eight o’clock. And dress pretty. We’re having a party.”
I love how Vail’s love interests are a creepy guy who can’t take no for an answer… and a creepy guy who can’t take no for an answer.
Because unlike back at the academy, I was my own boss out here. With Driftwood away, it fell to me to finish getting the house ready for the winter.
My main problem with Vail is that she’s so goddamned stupid.
Her foster father literally sold her to the werewolf school. And she knows exactly what’s waiting for her if she were to return home.
YET SHE WENT BACK ANYWAY.
Like girl, move to the city, lie about your age, and get a job waitressing to pay the bills. Literally nothing is stopping you!
 After throwing together a pickle-free sandwich…
Was telling us about your sandwich necessary to the continuation of the story?
I ground my teeth and pulled my hooded snow coat on, zipping it up tight. “Let’s go.”
Chapter 2 summary: Back over to Vail, who for some unholy reason, went back to the house she shared with Driftwood and Darkness. She’s currently up in a tree, trying to track a wolf that she keeps convincing herself that she’s seen. She knows that it’s not Jasper, but again, this girl is delulu.
This is where Trey finds her. He makes these gross passes at her, and demands that she come to his house for a party that night. Vail is like “thanks but no thanks.”
She goes inside, where she starts winter prepping the house, which is randomly empty with Darkness at a new school, and Driftwood having fucked off. She also cleans up the house.
After finishing, she goes to stand in the door to Darkness’s empty room, and then Trey shows up. He implies that he knows that Vail wants to fuck her foster-brother, but never once acknowledges the fact that they are foster-siblings. It’s weird. He then demands that she get dressed for this party, but Vail complains that she’s tired from having cleaned all day. However, her tune changes when Trey says that Darkness is at his house, so she goes to get ready.

Theres a man at work who just constantly smells so bad and if I didnt know he has a home, because I have dropped him off several times there, I would think he didnt or at the least that said home didnt have running water (which I suppose I dont actually know if it does but i dont really have a solid reason to think it doesn't)
And it is so confusing and weird because I have know this man, and vise versa, for most of my life. Not very closely, as he and my dad really stopped being anything other than coworkers/boss and employee once the mans girlfriend died
And idk the actual point of this, its just very weird with him and also he smells very bad just constantly and I am just tired of walking where he has walked and Knowing he has been there. And i just kind of felt like complaining about it...
