What have been BLs that took you by surprise this year?

I mean Kinnporsche is THE one. I kept seeing so much hype about it and I was reluctant to start it because of the mafia theme. Since I don't really like to watch a lot of gun violence stuff, I was very reluctant to watch. I didn't actually start to watch it until late August when someone put a gif of Porsche in his underwear grinding on Kinn on my Twitter feed and I was like "HOLD ON??? 🤨🤨🤨". So glad I changed my mind and actually gave it a try cause now I'm OBSESSED lol.

What have been BLs that you felt a bit disappointed with this year?

Kissable Lips, I wanted it to be SO GOOD cause vampire but yeah... It didn't do anything I wanted it to do lol. Also, please don't hate me but... Vice Versa. Like parts of it were really nice don't get me wrong but I felt like the aspect of being soulmates or 'portkeys' was not explored as much as I wanted it to.

What has been your favorite BL this year?

Kinnporsche obviously! But also Old Fashioned Cupcake, Semantic Error, and The Eclipse <3

Oh lord... So many but let's try to remember all shall we?

Vegas and Pete, Kinn and Porsche, Kurosawa and Adachi, Prapai and Sky, Wen Kexing and Zhou Zishu, Du Pusa and Qian Qiao, Chu Wanning and Mo Ran, BEEFLEAF, Xie Lian and Hua Cheng, You Yi and Yan Wei, also maybe Tang Fan and Sui Zhou. And many many more .-.

If you had to suggest a BL for someone what would it be?

Well since Kinnporsche is kinda LOL heavy on some areas, I might recommend Semantic Error! If it doesn't have to be of this year then Kieta Hatsukoi, Restart After Coming Back Home, I Told Sunset About You, Manner Of Death, Bad Buddy or Cherry Magic !

Also GLs of this year, definitely GAP, She Makes My Heart Flutter, and She Loves to Cook, She Loves to Eat! From other years, Couple of Mirrors!

What’s your non-BL favorite this year?

Well, I really don't watch much that isn't BL or GL. But Koisenu Futari made me cry SO MUCH, it was a really wholesome yet real watch about ace/aro people and what it's like to live in a society that doesn't understand it. Also My Androgynous Boyfriend was a fun watch while also bringing up matters about gender roles! ALSO Fujoshi, Ukkari Gay ni Kokuru (2019) was hard to watch because it was so real, but it was REALLY GOOD! It is about a closeted gay teen who finds out his female classmate reads BL, together they form an unconventional form of friendship and help each other grow comfortable with their identities. l I cried so much, and beware there is heavy stuff in there like suicide attempt BUT, it is there for a reason and I think ultimately it is a beautiful show.

I know it would be more appropriate to post these once the fic is fully finished BUT i got too excited and was waiting too long already to post these hdjfhk and today is cultivate anniversary so appropriate excuse to post lets go!!! anyway theres only one chapter left to go so ppl who have been waiting to read it until its done the time is NOW! hahha

anyway fun fact this was originally going to be just 3 parter. but. at this point cultivate has surpassed svsss in word count if i am not mistaken......so ive decided that adding one more volume would be appropriate lol
