illario + lucanis growing up together means a lot for obvious reasons ofc like the fact they did not have to go through the dellamorte villa torment nexus alone really helps. immediately from the moment they are taken to that house, lucanis has had something to protect and love. the snark and jokes that they share in wigmaker job finally having a chance to shine outside of the only person lucanis is socialised with and he learns that wow, he's actually likable. because up until this point everyone around him calls him a demon and is freaked out by him but ofc the veilguard only know him as lucanis "he banished harding from the kitchen" dellamorte. sure he's a big bad crow assassin but his reputation simply does not carry that much weight with people who are just equally deranged (maybe a de riva rook but that's also a little different) . and then he's able to share and extend that love with his new friends, and able to try being something that he's not had the chance to before, and his goodness is actively encouraged rather than being an unfortunate sidequest that is tolerated. and i fondly think also of how much of that humor is copied and mirrored off illario ("shoulders....... feeling tight...... need a ..... MASSAGE!") and it's his best experiences with illario that turned him into the man he is. wish the game explored this just a little more because the betrayal would have been made a lot more intense if they had just bothered to show any of illario's redeeming qualities. he has them!!!!! nobody is just born a traitor. you have to love someone before they can become that.

one of the cutest, most kissable faces ive ever seen. blurb for u!! gen audiences, all fluff and puppy cuddles and kisses for will!

you come back from taking your new puppy out on a walk, finding will on the couch of your apartment. he must've used his key. you smile as teddy bounds over to will on little legs, not quite big enough to hop on the couch yet.

will smiles down at him, scooping teddy off the ground as his tail wags happily. "hey bud!" he remarks, cradling teddy to his chest. the puppy licks your boyfriend's chin, letting out a happy little bark. after a minute he sits teddy back down, and the little pup trots off toward his water bowl.

you plop down on the couch beside will, watching with amusement as he wipes his chin on his shirt sleeve. he turns to you with a soft smirk, "i dunno who gives me more kisses, you or the dog."

you laugh harder than you should at that, but it's just so silly. "there's no way," you tease, landing one peck on his cheek. "i kiss you way, way more."

will shrugs. "well, you've got a competitor, that's all i'm saying," he teases back.

"mm, we'll have to fix that." you lean in until your nose brushes his hairline, kiss him there three times in quick succession, all in a little row. your lips move between his brows next, kissing there, then the bridge of his nose, then the tip of it. just for good measure.

you both lose track of all the kisses you press to his flushed cheeks, but you can't help it when he turns just that little bit redder with every press of your lips to his skin. something between a whine and a hum comes from will, "c'mon, gimme a real kiss."

you kiss him sweetly, one hand running through his golden curls as he melts into you.

Long time followers know I’m a cranky brown woman and one of the things that makes me cranky is the use of American South West aesthetics without homage to the Indigenous and Black Americans and Mexicans that invented the aesthetic. My Cecil is Native (and your question should be “which tribe?!” But I haven’t decided yet. I’m pondering.) He started going gray when he was a teenager and had fully white hair by the time he was 25.
