My anecdotal experience is that the site seems way more lively and enjoyable than it used to.

In order to cope, Elon Musk posts an outdated meme photo with a Mematic watermark where he refers to “X” as Twitter, even though he threw a shitfit when everyone was refusing to call it by its rebrand.

NO, THEY DIDN'T!

There's no way to automatically remove the verified flag on all the accounts, they would have to have gone account-by-account to remove them individually.

So instead...THEY JUST HID THE CHECKMARK ICON!!

You can still see if an account is legacy verified by putting in the search filter:

filter:verified from:@namehere

Anyone with a legitimate verified account you search for will show up. Anyone with a this-mfer-paid-for-Twitter account won't.

SO I guess Twitter/X is now officially allowing NSFW/porn on there even though it was...already on there lol (the big tumblr NSFW ban had ppl migrate from here to there hence why I even fucking have an account lmao)

But I am curious how that might work especially since for a good while now sites have been banning NSFW and the pay processors heavily targeting NSFW folks. This might actually kill Twitter/X or who knows...

I do get angry for those who make their living on drawing NSFW/SW/really anyone who isn't squeaky "clean" *heavy eye roll* bc yea I consume NSFW artwork despite being Ace/Aro bc the art is beautiful and the artists/writers are amazing folks with amazing talent and sexy as fuck!

The internet just sucks now everything is an app, trying to sell you cyrpto/AI/or some other bullshit that winds up being scams/failures/waste of time and money. Like the internet has never been the greatest but damn....maybe it's the nostalgia but I do miss old internet days of the early 00s-10s (yup until 2018).
