the chip bag crinkled between them, half-crushed between their femurs. it was the only thing keeping killer from worming his way into cross’s space, though it was barely working, with the way killer’s knee lay over cross’s and his bouncing foot brushed against cross’s ankle on his other leg.

cross’s fingers were tipped in cheesy dust, his knuckles and the side of his wrist lightly dusted from rubbing against the inside of the bag. it would stain his bones a yellow-ish tint until he took a shower later.

“i mean you act like it doesnt mean anything. but you ignore it, and you serve, what, 10? 15 years?”

“you underestimate the severity of the kinda things they’d do me in for. grand larceny is a basic bitch crime, i’d get chained for something way cooler.”

cross snorted, holding a cheeseball between his teeth, taking a moment to adjust the headphone pressed to his skull. killer’s headset was really straining to fit over both of their heads, and it was forcing them to press their cheeks together just to make it fit.

“like what?”

killer’s teeth ticked up at the corners, and he chuckled, the sound carried on a warm, nicotine scented cloud that would no doubt taint the taste of the cheeseball just the slightest as it brushed across.

“i think you know the answer to that, pretty boy.”

cross’s teeth dug into the cheeseball a little more, holding it stable as he responded around it.

“do i? if anyone were to ask me, i dont think i’d know the answer like you think i do.”

killer’s grin grew a little malicious, jesting even, and he turned the volume up on the movie they were watching, “that’s what i like to hear.”

cross bit through the cheeseball, chewing, absorbing it and licked the layers of cheese off his fingers, wiping them off on killer’s pants, and leaning into him.

“…they deserve it, anyways. probably,” cross murmured, and killer didnt really have a response for that. he just hummed, and took a cheeseball from the bag, popping it in his mouth.

Crossover writers/artists I have an idea

So y'know how in some shows or games or movies n whatever the music is diegetic- the characters can hear it?

If you're crossing over that kinda series with something that doesn't have diegetic music there's SO many jokes and moments you can make. Imagine the whole gang going to defeat the final boss and one of them's got weird timing and it's like.

"why are you doing that just attack normally"

"what, you can't hear the music?"

"the what?"

Or like something dramatic just happened and the same character is just busting it down in the back like fuck yeah and no one else has any idea why

It'd be the funniest thing ever. Smash Bros writers I'm looking at you especially because I know for sure there's at least one franchise in that mix with diegetic music and there's probably more
