Just realized that if only Poseidon went straight to Ithaca and asked for Odysseus, Penelope could do the biggest gamble of them all and get one of the suitors in SUCH DEEP SHIT.

Poseidon: "Odysseus of Ithaca! Tell me this instant where is this mortal who dared to hurt my son and try to lie about his name!

Penelope: ...

Suitors: ....

Penelope: *weaving stops*

Penelope: *pointing right at Antonius* There he is! This one is Odysseus, my husband and king of Ithaca! Please don't sink us, almighty god of the sea!

Antonius: What? I'm not Odysseus, I--

Penelope: Of course he would say that! He's a liar!

Poseidon: *has no reason to not believe her, wipes him out effortlessly*

Then Odysseus comes back like "It's me, Penelope! Your husband!"

Penelope: "No, you're not. From now on your name is Agamemnon the Greater and the new lover I marry to make king."

Odysseus: *grumbling* why after Agamemnon though...

i can't help laughing at the "you don't understand, this man plans for every fight!" line. because like. isn't that fighting 101. have a plan? "no no! we have to be careful! this man thinks!"

[Seconds after Odysseus' and Penelope's loving embrace, having finally been reunited after almost 20 years]

Odysseus, panicking: Penelope! You’re bleeding!

Penelope, completely calm: Don’t worry love, it’s not my blood.

Zeus really thought his game was unbeatable, cause there's no way everyone in his family agrees on something lol

Athena with odysseus: surprise attacking odysseus and bodily slamming him to palace walls (for awareness training). Randomly kidnapping him from the palace to drop him in the woods (or the ocean or on two memorable occasions on a completely different island) (survival training), using her full strength in sparing matches (odysseus has many broken bones) dragging him up by his wrist so they're face to face. Not being careful with how often she uses quick thought or any of her other powers (what? He seems fine. She's sure odysseus has always been a freak it's definitely not brain damage it's/fine/hes /fine)

Athena with telemachus, after she accidentally knocked him out once: right right odysseus and penelope taught me how to do this when they had me babysit you. Gotta be gentle so so gentle. Gotta support the head gotta craddle humans not yank them up by the wrist (she knew odysseus was a freak why didn't he say anything??) Can't just funnel her full power into the kid gotta be so gentle.

I need the EPIC animators to make a quick series starting with Poseidon taunting Odysseus with the fact that he can’t kill a god, and Odysseus saying he knows; that whole scene.

Then there being flashbacks of his time on Calypso’s island and it’s just scenes of her trying to have a good time with him but every time she turns away Odysseus tries to pull off some Tom and Jerry style trap to kill her but they all fail.

I need this.

Odysseus: "I need her to be Mine~" Athena: "...I can introduce you two." Odysseus: "What? Really?! Wait, you know her?" Athena: "Uh, yeah? You think you're my only pet trickster? You just said she was the 'smartest girl in the game', you think I'm gonna ignore that? I'll be right back."

Meanwhile~

Penelope: "...So...The guy who has been watching me from around corners before running away is also one of your favored mortals?" Athena: "Yes, I'm sorry, he's usually a lot smarter than this." Penelope: "...Eh, You know I've had stupid moments too. I'll go say hi."

Finished the game couple of days ago and had some thoughts I needed to process a little. Like. Yes.

So anyway I actually didn't plan this and just wanted to redraw some sprites to just make sure I understand how to draw Siffrin correctly (still working on that!)

What did I learn from this? How fun it it to draw on a canvas that literally doesn't let you draw with colors without some layer cheating when necessary. Never tried it.

The beans. Sleeping beans.

Basically what happens when you want to sleep AND draw. Draw characters sleeping on your behalf.

Doesn't help, but at least it's cute.

I have no idea what was going on in my mind as I drew this. Feels like a fever dream of 'I want to sleep' at 4 am and 'Hm...' of thinking random things
