I'm a bit late in talking about the update!
But!
Oh this is so interesting!!
Firstly, the effect of it all was so good! I feel like the previous update had everyone SO confused and then this one drops and it just CLICKS.
So the WHRP.. the Question-Answerer. They finally decided to try and talk to Wally! And they don't even care about explaining it or hiding it! They no longer care if We know. They might even know we know!
Anyways, they knocked on his door, gave him a call and BOY did he answer! Not only did he answer, but he sorta showed off!!
Some of them he did simply, such as writing Hello! And moving Barnaby!
But then he does this
Tumblr media
And he even says "I didn't write it, I did something else"
The "Not only can I do this, but I can do more!" He is thinking creatively!
Wally is putting in the extra effort. Really not being subtle. He is so LOUD, basically screaming "Yes, this is me! I am here! I am the one doing this! Talk to me!"
But the instruction that makes me think the most is the SALLY one
Tumblr media
I thought it meant to just flip the image! From left to right!
But! Wally has somehow conjured up an entirely NEW image! When you think about it, someone on the team drew or restored that image of Sally. Most likely, there was not a backside at all! Why would there need to be an illustration of that! Wally somehow made it happen! Very very interesting!
And then there is this, a little bonus, a little extra
Tumblr media
Wally and Home. Sitting nicely together in the same... House?
I think most of us already think that there is a connection between the two of them. A deep connection.
Personally, I see the concept of Home as more of a general idea. Your Home, your upbringing, your family, your life! And what are you without these things? They made you who you are! If you were to separate yourself from the idea of Home, would you even know who you are?
And then there is the Eye. And it is under the same House. Wondering if this is saying "This and This are the same" "Wally and Home are both the Eyes" which feels like the more obvious statement.
But for me I see another connection. A Third. And it's You. The collective You. We are the audience, We are the Watchers and We have a connection to Wally through his eyes.
That connection is different and separated from the one between Wally and Home, but it is there! Under the same roof!
Wally, Home and You
Ooh I honestly am so excited to see the WHRP's response to all of this! They have been answered! And so very obviously too!
Anyways! As usual, I pop in with my little thoughts! Clown and his team are always full of delightful surprises! I hope they get some well deserved rest and good treats!
And all of you guys too!
Have fun out there!

Small town murder mystery where it eventually turns out that literally everyone in town is a member of some secret society or sinister cult – except it's not one big secret society, it's a bunch of little ones, ranging from as many as a couple dozen members to as few as three. Each secret society is aware of their own immediate allies and rivals, but none of them have the complete picture of how extensive the town's secret society problem is, nor do they know that every single resident is a member of at least one. Some residents are members of multiple secret societies. Some residents are unwittingly members of multiple secret societies, having mistakenly concluded that Secret Society A is Secret Society B's hidden inner circle, when in fact they're unrelated. There's at least one pair of secret societies whose leaders each believe that the other is a false front that they set up to distract their enemies. This goes on for five seasons.

A murder mystery film set in a medieval village. After an outbreak of plague, the villagers make the decision to shut their borders so as to protect the disease from spreading (see the real life case of the village of Eyam). As the disease decimates the population, however, some bodies start showing up that very obviously were not killed by plague.
Since nobody has been in or out since the outbreak began, the killer has to be somebody in the local community.
The village constable (who is essentially just Some Guy, because being a medieval constable was a bit like getting jury duty, if jury duty gave you the power to arrest people) struggles to investigate the crime without exposing himself to the disease, and to maintain order as the plague-stricken villagers begin to turn on each other.
The killer strikes repeatedly, seemingly taking advantage of the empty streets and forced isolation to strike without witnesses. As with any other murder mystery, the audience is given exactly the same information to solve the crime as the detective.
Except, that is, whenever another character is killed, at which point we cut to the present day where said character's remains are being carefully examined by a team of modern archaeologists and historians who are also trying to figure out why so many of the people in this plague-pit died from blunt force trauma.
The archaeologists and historians, btw, are real experts who haven't been allowed to read the script. The filmmakers just give them a model of the victim's remains, along with some artefacts, and they have to treat it like a real case and give their real opinion on how they think this person died.
We then cut back to the past, where the constable is trying to do the same thing. Unlike the archaeologists, he doesn't have the advantage of modern tech and medical knowledge to examine the body, but he does have a more complete crime scene (since certain clues obviously wouldn't survive to be dug up in the modern day) and personal knowledge from having probably known the victim.
The audience then gets a more complete picture than either group, and an insight into both the strengths and limits of modern archaeology, explaining what we can and can't learn from studying a person's remains.
At the end of the film, after the killer is revealed and the main plot is resolved, we then get to see the archaeologists get shown the actual scenes where their 'victims' were killed, so they can see how well their conclusions match up with what 'really' happened.

Time for a new poll! I'm curious to see the spread of answers on this one (and hear any other series not on the list.) Tried to go for a range of older and newer series on here, more on the older end of the spectrum, but I can't cover everything with the limited poll options here, so I hope you'll share your answers! :)
Please reblog for a larger sample size, thank you!

Mystery Skulls Animated Monthly Updated Hey everyone, apologies for missing out on last month, but it's time to get a new update out the door from our team about the production so far for video 5. Unfortunately we don't believe we'll be able to have the video ready in time for a October release. People's schedules have not lined up in such a way where we have the momentum to finish things up for this month. In particular, background art has been difficult to get in due to artist availability. We do have layouts ready for most of the backgrounds at the moment, it's just a matter of getting fully cleaned up versions of them. At the very least we still want to give you another animated gif and to sincerely apologize for not being able to bring the video to you this month for the 10th anniversary. We know everyone has been waiting a long time and we'll do our best to keep pushing and get this animation out the door as soon as we can. Full Patreon Post: CLICK HERE

I can see Eddie getting really into one of those dinner murder mystery parties for Hellfire and not expecting Steve and Robin to be into it, only to find out that they both *committed.*
Like they've got outfits and fake accents and everything, and Eddie's delighted, but also they're outshining him.
Bonus: halfway through the night they swap characters, outfits and all, so Steve's in a swanky dress with pearls and Robin's in a tux.
They do not acknowledge that they swapped and absolutely refuse to break character, and it is 300% not a plot to hit on their respective crushes no matter what Dustin says.
(Max repeatedly calls out that they brought two outfits bc theres no way Robin fit into Steve's tux.
She is ignored , on grounds that Steve's dress is showing a heck of a lot of thigh and it being Robin's dress is 100% his excuse for it)

Tessa was adopted by the Mildenhalls after her death.
Ms. Mildenhall teaches her how to cook and sew. Every night she reads stories to Tessa before she goes to see Mr. Mildenhall.
Mr. Mildenhall is proud of Tessa’s impeccable swordsmanship, though he eagerly tries to get her into guns and awes her with tales of his hunting expeditions.
