the people don't understand the comedy of 👨‍🦱👨🏾👨‍🦱🧔🐸🧑🏽‍🦲 which one of us could be the thing.... like I think they're thinking the more muppets the better but that's not correct ! a muppet movie isn't about cramming as many muppets as you can on screen it's about telling the most effective story possible, with muppets. any muppet movie i make would be played completely straight like 90% of the time and only the occasional muppet hijinks and that's made more effective with a limited number of muppets on screen. Like how crazy would it be to have gonzo do the flailing arms after getting burnt and them immediately after you have the guy tied up in the chair after they realise he's not the thing shouting that he doesn't spend the rest of winter on the couch. blair is locked in the shed a human and the next time we see him he's animal. it would be a mostly subdued comedy and the dumbasses on tumblr could never understand that. clark gets shot in the head and then they find out he was human this whole time but we saw real blood splatter instead of a stuffing explosion. Someone PLEEEAAASSEEE let us into disney headquarters i promise not to bite anyone !!!!!!

Sudden Game Theory:

I'm partially convinced the Muppet Joker story was made to be a Homestuck reference even before the sudden Vriska arc

The association with clowns through the Joker, the father's horse obsession, the God Damn Muppet Hole and Muppet Sex, maybe also the sword thing and heavy mentions of religion, but that might be a stretch

All of these things on their own seem wacky and nonsensical in their own right, but once you put the Vriska kinning thing into the mix, along with there being a whole tag on the blog of them live reading the comic since February when they started posting again, suddenly everything makes a little bit of sense, little seeds of something that told the twist before anyone really fully noticed

Conclusion? Either the person running it was already a Homestuck when they first started, or they eventually started reading it for the bit cuz of the Smuppets existing and thought 'hey maybe this could be a fun way to add onto the absurdity of it all' I'm probably not the first one to think this, but hey you never know, just something that came to mind
