It's painfully uncommon to see posts about trans women & transfems needing OBGYN care, like, I see so many posts about transmascs being denied reproductive healthcare but I never see anyone talking about the same thing happening for transfems who need it. This is not a transmasc-only issue and it should be talked about more.
Shit like this happens all the time. Please do not fucking ignore it.
Tumblr media
This ^ is unacceptable, it's pure transphobia. Doctors don't always know best about trans and intersex patients, and yet they say shit like this. I've personally encountered my fair share of grossly intersexist doctors. Navigating acess to healthcare as a trans and/or intersex person is HELL.
Trans women with vaginas need gynecological care, they need pelvic exams, they still need regular checkups. Some trans women need nearly everything a cis woman does. It can be incredibly difficult for transfems to find a doctor who is willing to treat them AND experienced with transgender patients, and we should bring more attention to this.
Related, if you have breasts you need to get mammograms. It doesn't matter why you have them, if you have boobs, you are at risk for breast cancer.

@danashehab has been fundraising since may and is just over €15,000 away from their goal l. as stated in the screenshot people are starting to believe the rafah crossing will open so it’s important to make sure everyone has the funds in case they are allowed to evacuate.
thee shehab family consists of dana (13), sahar (14), mona (9), malak (5), yehya (1.5), fahed, (38), reem (32), and grandmother mona (60). they have been shadowbanned and deleted a few times. you can also find this family at @monashehab
EDIT AUG 24:
The family has had to raise their goal to cover their extended family’s evacuation fees since they are unable to make a new GFM.
The new goal is €85,000.

Hello...My name is Mohammad Dawood, I’m 18 years old, and I’m from Gaza.
Tumblr media
Like every family here, mine lived a simple life full of daily challenges, but we always found a way to livece. That was until the recent war, which left us with nothing but painful memories.
Tumblr media
During those dark days, we lived in constant fear. Every night, we would hear the sounds of bombs getting closer, and the drone of planes overhead never ceased. We huddled together in a small corner of our old house, praying to survive. My younger siblings' eyes were filled with tears and terror. One night, the worst happened. A sudden missile strike tore through our home and shattered our dreams. Thankfully, every member of my family survived, but we lost everything we owned.
My father, Nabeel, who worked tirelessly to provide for us, lost his workshop in the bombing. I also lost my small job, which helped support our large family. All the savings we had quickly ran out, and we found ourselves homeless.
We were relocated to an unfinished school in Gaza. This school is not fit for human habitation. There is no roof to protect us from the rain or the heat, no clean water to drink, and we live in inhumane conditions. The children can't attend school because theirs was destroyed, and even the simplest things, like a peaceful night’s sleep, have become a luxury we can no longer afford.
My brother Youssef, who is 12, cannot sleep at night because of the sounds of explosions that still haunt him. My little sister Hala, who is only 6, asks me every day, “When are we going back to our home?” and I have no answer for her. My youngest brother Mahmoud, who is 3, no longer knows what it means to play or laugh. The war has robbed them of their childhood and taken everything from us.
Tumblr media
My mother Suha tries to remain strong, but we all know how exhausted she is. Every day we wake up to the same nightmare, not knowing when this suffering will end. We live without security, without a clear future. Life here is filled with fear and uncertainty.
We are now in desperate need of help. We need to build a new home, to provide a safe haven for my siblings and my family, to have a chance to live with dignity. Your support can restore the hope we lost and give us a new chance at life.
Your donation, no matter how small, can make a huge difference in our lives. Help us overcome this hardship and build a better future..

Today, I want to speak about the biggest inspiration for queer people in my country, who was killed today. I want to speak about Kesaria Abramidze.
The first trans person in Sakartvelo who publicly came out as transgender.
The woman that brought a massive amount of queer awareness into the general public despite the queerphobia constantly directed towards her.
The woman that smiled and never gave up despite the people that hated her.
The woman that did everything she could to become a mother.
The woman that loved art.
The woman that, despite poverty, hardship, and loneliness, lived a life she desired.
The woman that stood up for every marginalized group, and always for every woman.
She inspired me into being a man that I am today. A man who is not afraid of being trans no matter everything that is happening. A man who is not backing down from becoming comfortable in his body one day. A man who wants to help and guide other trans people. A man who does something kind for people. I stayed strong for my friend who was also grieving her today, but now I'm home and all of those feelings are pouring out. I will forever be proud of Kesaria and everything she has done not just for queer people, but people in general. She helped everyone, her kindness is endless.
We lost someone beautiful today. Rest in peace.

reposting this information to it's own post because asker was a racist.
What's going on right now in the Republic of Georgia / Sakartvelo? A new legislation just passed that official bans - human rights essentially, gay-marriage, gender-firming care and surgery, any 'promotion' of queer identity. Soon after this legislation passed, trans model Kesaria Abramidze was murdered as a direct consequence of this.
Why is this super extra bad? Besides the several many lives at stake, the safety of queer families and the lethality of hate crimes, Georgia's wish to enter the EU is falling to a complete simmer due to this, soon to be extinguished completely. Here is an article about the international reaction to this legislation:
What can you do to help? The biggest thing we currently rely on is international push back especially from the EU members and the possible overturn of this in the upcoming election. It does not help that this law is implemented due to greedy fucks and Russian puppets in Georgia who benefit from this. source:
You might hear many refer to this as 'Russian law' which is due to the fact that Georgia, under this puppet-leadership mimics Russian laws like the 'Foreign Agents Law' that was put into work only a few months prior the law assumes 'only receiving foreign funds makes an organization a foreign agent.' and I don't think I have to explain how horrendous that is.
We also rely on our president to veto the legislation before it goes into 'full effect' (though the consequences and effect have already begun) but even with this the political party which instated this legislation argue to over-ride her veto in parliament. source:
The most important thing right now is vocal pushback, and public support of the queer community. with what happened to Kesaria (may she rest in peace) a lot of trans people are fearing for their lives, and queer families no longer can remain in their own country if they want to continue to be themselves in any way.
Spread love, a lot of it like as much as you can offer to queer Georgians everywhere.

HELP MOHAMMED TO ESCAPE GAZA AND RECEIVE TREATMENT
Tumblr media
i found this fundraiser the other day using gazafunds and noticed that it has continued to receive very few donations. mohammed's cousin maraam is organizing this fundraiser on his behalf to cover travel fees to cross the rafah-egypt border to reunite him with his family, and to help pay for hospital treatment for both him (shrapnel all throughout his body) and critically injured five year old daughter (a fractured skull and shrapnel that is currently in close proximity to her brain and is likely unable to be removed without the funds to travel abroad).
Tumblr media
as of 5/31/24, only $503 AUD out of $80,000 has been raised.
Tumblr media
anything counts—help mohammed and his wife, his three year old son, and five year old daughter reunite and improve their future!
