Mufasa: The Lion King | Official Trailer

Okay, let’s talk about this movie and its trailer again. To be honest, I am very struggling with myself. 

On one hand, as a classic TLK enthusiast I just can’t accept this story. I already revealed my opinion and thoughts earlier, you can find it here and here. On the other hand, exactly because I am a TLK enthusiast I can’t hate this movie either.

So I am still not sure if I will ‘exile’ it from my Lion King canon totally (thus pretend this movie doesn’t exist at all) or just consider as an AU... I wonder about separating the animated and live action story: in the animated universe keeping Mufasa and Scar biologically brothers, and in the live action universe keeping them the way they are in this movie. It’s still not decided, I wanna watch this movie first.

One more note, it’s interesting how they skip The Lion Guard lore and leave it out. With this prequel The Lion Guard loses its point.

Okay, let’s talk about some positive things:

Cub Kiara is incredibly cute!

I really love the quality and how realistic they are! Well done, nice work! I really love Obasi’s mane, it is so realistic!

Also, their faces are a lot more expressive. EXPRESSIVE! Finally! This is what we missed a lot in the 2019 movie. They smile, they get surprised, they are emotional.

There is one more thing that hit me, and this is Taka/Scar’s words:

Taka: I saved his life!

Scar: Long live the king!

I still don't see the cause why he goes evil. Probably because they travel together to a new territory where the animals accept Mufasa as their king instead of Scar despite his royal bloodline?

Nope, I am not that. I'm not really comfortable with that sort of thing to be honest but if anyone who follows me who is, then that's perfectly fine! I don't have an attraction to cursed Davy, but I do find human Davy handsome. I'm more into the reasons why Davy is the way he is as that's how I fell in love with his character; angst, tragedy, drama and all sorts of things like that. He's a tragic character, and I am a sucker for all things angst!

There's also a reason why I don't write smut on here either, it's just not something I feel comfortable to write and I also don't really feel a need to write that sort of stuff anyway.

But hey! Anyone interested in that, that's all good with me. Keep being your awesome self!

I propose......that the tmnt boys have a good adult future.

No dying/dead brothers or friends or dads.

No aliens taking over the planet and turning everything into either a wasteland or dustbowl.

No descendants of Shredder wanting to fuck shit up for them and ruining their lives.

No clan/alien/mutant wars.

Just a normal, happy adulthood and future. Doing mundane things like getting married or cooking a nice dinner or having a movie night with friends and family or hell even having a job or side hobby between ninja stuff. Ya know nice, soft things and not hmm I don't know UNRELENTING TRAUMA?????? THAT'D BE NICE YEAH????????????

today it's the 23th of june which in swedish tradition is a time for midsummer celebration. I wont be on much since I'm gonna be celebrating with my dad. I hope all you peeps a nice weekend. I promise we swedes generally don't murder people once every 90 year during midsommar and all swedes don't wear white and dance around like this. Some just chill with food and some do the old tradition of collecting 9 different flowers and place them under a pillow. It's said that whoever you dream of would be your husband/wife.
