I'm gonna say something-
I propose......that the tmnt boys have a good adult future.
No dying/dead brothers or friends or dads.
No aliens taking over the planet and turning everything into either a wasteland or dustbowl.
No descendants of Shredder wanting to fuck shit up for them and ruining their lives.
No clan/alien/mutant wars.
Just a normal, happy adulthood and future. Doing mundane things like getting married or cooking a nice dinner or having a movie night with friends and family or hell even having a job or side hobby between ninja stuff. Ya know nice, soft things and not hmm I don't know UNRELENTING TRAUMA?????? THAT'D BE NICE YEAH????????????

I know nobody asked but I'm gonna share this anyway since it's been eating my brain lately.
My dream cartoon/movie adaptation of the TMNT series would be a kinda sorta re-imagining of the 2003 series or 1990 movie continuity that adapts EVEN MORE of the original 1984 Mirage comic’s stories. Including stories from the image comics Urban legends run and eventually leading into TMNT: The Last Ronin and its universe of stories. All in one seamless long-running story. Maybe even with some re-contextualized stories from other popular TMNT continuities like the 2007 movie, the 2012 series, or IDW, but mostly sticking with the original comics. This will probably never happen but a guy can still dream!

*coughing and blinking blearily* Raph trying to befriend Casey without scaring him cause Splinters instilled them all with extreme paranoia about humans and being dissected by the government.
so he leaves Casey gifts and scribbled notes like he’s some kind of sewer fairy god mother and Casey likes that but also sets up a trap to catch this weird cryptid who’s leaving webbed tracks all over his camp site
and their first face to face encounter starts with them beating each other up cause Casey tried to catch Raph in his trap, and then it ends with them bandaging each others wounds once Casey realizes Raphs the one giving him gifts

My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way has a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Comic with "anime inspired" art and a villain that goes back to the original '90s toys
By George Marston published June 24, 2024
Mikey Way is turning the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' greatest love into their worst enemy
Full article under the cut:

My Chemical Romance is one of the most popular bands of the last 20 years, and in the time since their last official release, several of the group's multi-talented members have branched into comic storytelling - including bassist Mikey Way, whose latest comic is a short in the upcoming anthology comic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black, White, and Green #2.
A veritable teen idol of his own thanks to My Chem's beloved presence in the punk and emo scene, Way is tapping into a deep-seated love of both the TMNT and their personal favorite food of pizza for a story that captures the youthful energy of the Turtles in a way that only someone who was there for their meteoric rise and pop culture presence could.

"I was a massive Turtles fan as a kid! Being born in the '80s, wave one of Turtlemania hit when I was about eight years old, so safe to say I was all in," Way tells Newsarama. "My older brother was into the black & white comics early, so I was at least aware of the Turtles prior to that big boom, but my fandom really came alive with the original cartoon series."
"Followed up by the Playmates toy line and then into the live action movie, it really checked every box imaginable for me," Way explains. "The characters and the world building had something for almost everyone. While I was initially into Michelangelo, (because of his name and the nunchucks) I grew into way more of a Raphael fan. He's got more layers as a character in my opinion."
Tumblr media

Way's brother is, of course, Gerard Way, singer of My Chemical Romance and founder of the DC imprint Young Animal, which published Mikey Way's first comic, Collapser, which was co-written by Shaun Simon with art by Ilias Kyriazis. For TMNT: Black, White, and Green, Way collaborated with artist Nikola Čižmešija and colorist Lee Loughridge, whose art you can see in the newly revealed pages from the story seen here.
"I love Nikola’s style so much!," Way says. "He has this fantastic anime inspired quality to his work, and it lends itself perfectly to a Ninja Turtles story. I was floored by his pencils and he was a pleasure to work with."
As for the content of the story itself, it all comes down to something that many fans of the TMNT probably love as much as the Turtles do themselves: pizza. Way brings in a classic villain, Pizza Face, who first appeared in the original TMNT toy line in 1990 as a villainous pizza chef, before being revived in the 2012 animated series as a mutated pizza blob.
Tumblr media
"I wanted to do a story that was an ode to '80s horror, with a nod to Candy Man or the urban legend of Bloody Mary," Way says of why he chose Pizza Face.
"The character of Pizza Face fascinated me as a kid, because he looked like the mascot on most Pizza boxes mixed with a 'Freddy' or 'Jason'," Way continues. "That mythology I created in my head as a kid really stuck with me. When the opportunity arose to write a Ninja Turtle story, it was literally the first thing that popped out of my head."
And yes, Mikey Way does have a favorite pizza place:
"Star Tavern in Orange New Jersey. Hands down the greatest there is, in my opinion."
Tumblr media
Though Way's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Green story is only eight pages, Way does plan more comics to come very soon - though he's not quite ready to say exactly what just yet.
"I feel like I have more stories that I want to tell," he hints. "At the risk of sounding vague, I would say one can expect an announcement of some sort very soon."
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Black, White, and Green #2 is on sale now.

*Random TMNT 2012 (mainly side characters) hc's bcuz hyperfixation
*(this is the best divider to ever exist btw)
Tumblr media
*Warnings: Spoilers for TMNT 2012 ofc, mentions of gender dysphoria and trans related insecurity, transphobia, accidental arson, bullying, manipulation, ptsd, also the tone of the headcanons shift randomly also also typing quirk
Tumblr media
*Chris Bradford is trans. )(e did a full transition, he did hormones, voice training, top and bottom surgery, a few different surgeries to make him look/feel more masculine, all the bells and whistles, even went the extra mile to do procedures to hide his surgery scars. )(e's closeted and does about everything in his power to make sure no one even question that he was assigned female at birth because he's scared of his social image of being the great macho man, Chris Bradford, crumbling.
*Leo mainly or solely uses fandom and fanfic socials like Wattpad, AO3, Amino, Tumblr, and maybe Twitter. She mainly interacts with Space )(eroes and Crognard The Barbarian fan posts and shows a special interest in gender swap aus.
*Later on, post show with Muckman's help the mutants are actually able to freely walk around humans without them completely flipping out and starting a mob to witch hunt after them.
*Speaking of walking around humans, Napoleon and the frogs down in Louisiana are considered local urban legend and humans get really excited when they spot the frogs in the woods.
*Dr. Rockwell is a very big coffee enjoyer and used to secretly steal coffee from the nearby shops around the mighty mutanimals hideout and on the rare occasion when someone caught him and called him out he would always use the excuse of the shops being owned by big corporations.
*Don Visioso is a deadbeat father of 5. )(e also has had multiple wives and many divorces.
*Mondo Gecko will call people posers if he's jealous enough of them.
*Ivan Steranko is also trans but has only had hrt and face masculinizing surgery and refuses to get top and bottom surgery.
*Anton Zeck is incredibly smart and performed extremely well in high school and even got free scholarships for how well he did.
*Shinigami is a big video game nerd and will geek out if anyone mentions one of the games she plays.
*The reason Anton hated the mutant name Mikey gave him at first is because it either sounds a lot like or straight up is a nickname old bullies of him gave in order to make fun of him.
*Premutation, Chris acts transphobic towards Xever (despite Xever being cis) out of jealousy and insecurity.
*Baxter Stockman is either a gay aroace trans mspec nonbinary man or a cishet ally. No in-between.
*Mini April cluster!!!:
*April has a deep love for literature and writes poetry in her spare time.
*She almost burned down the culinary class in her school once.
*She's questioning aroace.
*She felt extra empathy for Muckman because he reminded her of Kirby a little bit.
*She likes to hide stickers around the lair whenever has them on her person.
*She thoroughly enjoys having long conversations with each of the individual turtles. (It's her favorite way to spend time with anyone tbh)
*April does eventually take some time to properly learn Japanese and becomes pretty decent at speaking and reading it.
*)(er and Donnie often like to geek out together whenever they find anything new about aliens (both species they haven't seen yet and ones they know well like the kraang).
*End of the mini April cluster!!!
*Kirby O'Neil is a pretty decent cook. That man can make a mean chicken stew.
*Shinigami actually owns multiple cats. 2 ragdoll, 1 sphinx, 1 Persian, and 3 British shorthairs (I could name them all, but I don't wanna). Also, the majority of them are black cats. She feeds strays, too.
*The last headcanon is much to Karai's dismay because she is somewhat allergic. She gets headaches, her skin gets slightly irritated and she gets the sniffles if she's around cats for too long.
*Casey's younger sister wants to be a hair stylist when she grows up, so Jones let's her do his hair every once in a while and he flexes it to every one at the lair like: "Oh? My hair? Yeah, my sister did it for me. Pretty metal, what she did with it, right?"
*Tigerclaw is the only Foot Clan member to not bully Baxter Stockman.
*Someone manipulated and lied to Alopex in order to make her hate and hunt down her brother.
*After season 4, Baxter Stockman leaves New York and takes over Stockman Industries. (If you're unaware of what that is, it's on billboards that the turtles pass throughout the show the most notable appearance being in the ending scene of the final season 4 episode, 'Owari'.)
*Slash deep down still misses The Newtralizer.
*Leatherhead kind of freaks out (apologies for the bad wording) when someone fully wraps their arms around his neck when hugging him because it reminds him of the restraints the Kraang put him in.
*Pigeon Pete learns how to bake so he can make his own bread.
*The turtles get a Wii (or whatever the universes equivalent is).
*Mondo Gecko gets an old Xbox and plays Tony )(awk games, Bully, and Twisted Metal on it.
*Ivan and Anton actually move out to New Jersey post show.
Tumblr media
*Alr, that's all for now, toodles!!!

I haven't forgot about the Going Hero Au I swear.
As proof, some notes;
- Rook does end up going to earth under the pretense of Plumber work and ends up joining the team after getting involved in a street fight with Ben, Beast Boy and Animo
- Ben does take a quicker shine to him due to the experience of being part of a team.
- Rook gets along most a with the Bat Family, especially Tim and Barbara but also finds common ground with Ms Martian.
- Undertown does exist and is managed by the plumbers and a rotating group from the Team.
- Superboy enjoys Undertown and is happy when seeing he's on the rota, though is annoyed when Argit starts a scam with the alien tech shop he gets parts from.
- The TMNT does exist in the world but is seen as an urban legend nobody has been able to verify, Danny swears he's seen them but Nobody believes him.
- Superman has been advised by multiple JL members to avoid Ben if possible due to the possibility of him scanning Kryptonian DNA and not trusting a 17 year old with that kind of god-like power.
- They do not know Ben already has it unlocked and chooses not to use it because of the danger, it's under a lock command sequence like Alien X.
It's like 4am so don't blame me too much for the potential lack of continuity.

Asking a few people this! If the turtles weren't from New York, where would you like for them to live? What city or state or even country?
Whoa! I love this question!
Okay, so my choice is Los Angeles. I no longer live there, but it was my second home and I plan on moving back once my parents are gone. I was a transplant, though, so take all this with a grain of salt. Or maybe some lifelong/longtime locals can chime in and build off this!
Tumblr media
The turtles traditionally travel around NYC via sewers and rooftops. LA is extremely spread out, though. It’s also a car city, and I think the turtles would embrace the car culture in a couple different ways.
First of all, I think we’d see a lot more of the turtles traveling like the boys did in the grocery shopping montage in Mutant Mayhem:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lots of riding on cars in the dense LA traffic, luring under overpasses to hop a ride on the right truck, hopping over barriers along the shoulder, etc.
Secondly, I can see the turtles fixing up an old van like a 1970s/80s/90s Ford Econoline or Club Wagon or something similar as their turtle tank. I know the 87 series Party Wagon is based on a classic VW bus, but those are just too flashy and iconic for the boys to keep a low profile in modern LA. Whatever they had, it would need to look a little busted up to blend in!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That being said, I think it would be almost impossible for them to go completely unnoticed! I think they would end up in a sort of hybrid situation where they’re known to exist by Angelenos, but everyone outside of Los Angeles thinks they’re just some quirky LA urban legend. But for Angelenos, I think they’d be sort of like P-22 the mountain lion; something everyone knows is there, but only a lucky few ever actually see.
Tumblr media
They might actually play this up by hitting up popular tourist attractions or local hotspots to let people catch a glimpse of them. Like they might swing by Griffith Observatory or Santa Monica Pier to psych people out like ‘holy shit did I really just see a turtle?!’ I think they'd get a kick out of it, and their need for secrecy wouldn't be taken as seriously as it is in most TMNT iterations because that matches the more chill vibes of LA.
I think even some locals would take advantage of this and start turtle sightseeing tours like they do celebrity sightseeing tours, and take tourists to places that the turtles have been spotted in the past. The boys might even work with some of these tours under the table and intentionally let themselves be spotted as a side hustle or something lol
Tumblr media
Making the turtles Angelenos would also be perfect for way to play up their skateboarding hobby, because LA is a skateboarder’s paradise. There’s tons of skate parks which they’d probably be hitting up at night, but I could also see them taking advantage of the LA river and sketchier places only the most adventurous of humans try to skate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If the turtles were Angelenos, I think they would be based in DTLA since that’s the best urban cover for them. It also gives them access to DTLA’s Metro, which would be the easiest way for them to get from DTLA to the greater Los Angeles area so they wouldn’t always have to rely on using the van.
I could keep going, but I think I’ll leave it here for now and maybe come back to this later!

I'm so angry right now I'm thinking about Tmnt: Urban Legends and the recent chapter I'm in and in this chapter there's this superhero who protects a neighboring city near New York. His name is The White Knight.
And I've just realized that it's a parody of The Dark Knight.
He's supposed to be Batman.
First they pull the cute blonde haired child who's named Shadow but her real name's Maria thing which gives off Sonic the Hedgehog vibes and now this??????
When will the madness end?????????

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Urban Conspiracy...EXPLAINED!
Tumblr media
HELLO EVERYONE!! I've been putting this off for a while now, but I think it's finally time I make an explanation post for my original TMNT iteration, Urban Conspiracy! However, before we begin, there is some stuff I need to clarify first.
This is NOT a full explanation of the WHOLE iteration, such as complete descriptions of characters and the ENTIRE storyline (those will be saved for future posts). This is just an introduction to the main premise, characters, world building, and lore. Secondly, some aspects of this iteration may potentially change as time goes on (for anyone who read my ComputerBug fic set in this iteration, there are already some significant differences between when I uploaded that fic and now). Finally, this iteration will discuss and portray some potentially triggering themes and content, including in this post. Please keep this in mind and proceed with caution. Also, this post is going to be a bit long, so watch out for that as well!
Now, with that all out of the way, let’s begin!
Tumblr media
15 years ago, a mysterious tragedy occurred in New York City, known as the TCRI Disaster. The TCRI (Technological Cosmic Research Institute), was a government organization stationed in New York, dedicated to researching anomalous scientific phenomena and materials.
One night, however, a huge disaster occurred causing a large portion of the facility to be completely destroyed and exploded, completely out the blue. As a result, many of the scientists, visitors, and animals used for experiments were killed or went missing. To this day, nobody knows what really happened that night. Who or what caused the disaster, and what happened to the people and animals whose bodies were never found?
One thing was for certain though, something shifted within the general populous. Even long prior to the disaster occurring, there was already a famous urban legend that plagued the streets of New York. It was believed that there existed a mysterious substance known as the ooze, a bright green glowing sludge said to have the ability to turn normal humans and animals into mutant monsters. Yet still, despite the numerous reported sightings of these so-called mutants roaming the city, no concrete evidence existed that proved that the mutants and the ooze actually existed. However, things started to change after the TCRI Disaster. The reported sighting of mutants skyrocketed, and more and more people started to speculate the possibility of what was once a simple urban legend...could actually be true...and whether or not the TCRI Disaster and these mutant sighting were somehow linked.
But whether or not you actually believed it or thought it was all bullshit, what nobody realized was that the legends...were all true. A certain bunch of turtles could attest to that.
Leo, Ralph, Donnie and Mikey were all originally just normal baby turtles, born in the TCRI laboratory to be used for experiments. In reality, the ooze...or by its more proper title as mutagen, did, in fact, actually exist. The mutagen had the ability to mutate any organism within the kingdom of Animalia into hybrid of it and the last organism (also within the kingdom of Animalia) it had made physical contact with.
In the case of the four brothers, it was the humans that cared for them within the laboratory, turning them essentially into humanoid turtle people. Though in the case of their adoptive father, Splinter, his situation was a little different. Once a famous action movie star by the name of Hamato Yoshi, he just so happened to be visiting the TCRI facility when the disaster occurred and having come in contact with one of the lab rats within the facility, his fate was sealed. He was now stuck as a humanoid rat with a bunch of turtle children to raise, who just so happened to be mutated in the same disaster as he was.
Yet despite them technically not being entirely human, at least in their bodies, they were human within their brains and hearts. They had human lifespans, they thought like humans, they talked like humans, they were essentially...humans. However, the outside world was too dangerous for them, if anyone ever found out about the existence of mutants, who knows what terrible things could happen! They had to stay safe, to stay hidden. They made their home in an abandoned subway tunnel, right underneath an old 24/7 internet cafe, only occasionally leaving for quick trips on the surface. Additionally, Splinter decided to teach and train his sons in the art of ninjitsu, so they could fight and defend for themselves, just in case.
However, on the brother's 15th birthday, 15 years since the TCRI Disaster, 15 years since they were mutated, 15 years since they became this weird little family, Splinter decided to do something. He believed the turtles were strong, old, and responsible enough to go to the surface, all by themselves, without the supervision of their dear father. The four teenage boys were excited and overjoyed, finally being able to have their first real taste of freedom that night! There was only one rule, don't let any humans know about you...
...unfortunately, that rule just so happened to be broken in the exact same night. At least this teenage human girl by the name of April O'Neil is more than happy to keep quiet about the existence of mutants, especially since these four mutant turtles just saved her life as well. The only reason their secret even got out was thanks to them being suddenly attacked out-of-the-blue by a bunch of members of the Foot!
The Foot was said to be a mysterious organized crime syndicate from Japan but stationed in New York. Little was known about them and their goals, all that was known was that they were extremely dangerous and not to be trifled with. However, many people also believed the Foot were having an increasing interest in the rumors about the mutants. People have slowly been going missing without a trace over the past 15 years, and with that being just around the same time the Foot had shown up, and when the TCRI Disaster happened, there was indefinitely something strange going on. Something bad was happening, and it's going to be up to these mutant turtles and their new friend (and some future friends as well) to get to the bottom of it. From mutants, to gangsters, vigilantes, robots, crazy scientists, an underground society, and interdimensional aliens, things are certainly going to be interesting.
However, one thing is for certain, good old New York City is about to get a whole lot weirder!
Tumblr media
Special thanks to @catonamatchbox, @glitter-alienz, and @acidichcl for inspiring me to make my own TMNT iteration and for accidentally really getting me into this franchise at all! I'll be making some more explanation posts in the future as well. Also, I encourage you to send me asks for this iteration based on this and this Ask Game as well, I tend to have an easier time explaining things by being asked questions! My ask box is always open! Until then, I'll see you all soon!
