thoughts,,, abt the cowboy as american mythology vs the reality, per chance,,,
#ooc;; mun barks#//to be deleted;#it swims in my head time to time but i think i shld sit down n organize my thoughts abt it#n i suppose i wld also talk abt it in regards to rdr2 n rdr1 bc they both share/embody commentaries on the western genre#particularly rdr2 takes a shining to the cowboy imagery w Knights#Men upon horseback with some sense of Noble Honor etc etc while peeling back the veil of it to the men beneath#but then here is cole cass/idy n how i want to convey the part of that mythology of rugged individualism while he is also-#part of this organization that has a nasty habit of mythologizing its people – while he himself to me#represents an avatar of People - the everydays person - the boy scraped up from nowhere;#n how he will Defy this mythologization for better or for worse; always the homeless homebody stranger#too imperfect to be made immortal bc he refuses convention n facade#bc part of this blog is stabbing fingers into what is this archetype n masculinity n i suppose what it is in my lens :///#but also smthing abt the fact that ppl dont think cowboys still exist 💀💀 that they remain#some storybook piece in movies n novels–#there's a lot to UNPACK tho cos i do also relate the gratuitous VIOLENCE in the old west proper n its depictions in westerns to#its normalcy n mundanity in COLE's life n how he receives it as such - that he's not necessarily#haunted by killing bc he grew up w it being a normalcy; kill or be killed was apart of his life n he - really doesnt blink twice abt it

Grian knows that he is probably going to be far away from the boat. And it looks like it gonna rain hard. But he needs to see the mermaid. He needs to know if he saw them before.
◇
When scar was finished with the coral crystal crown, he was still worried if the pretty human would be scared of him. Does the pretty human even remember him? That was such a long time ago.
He looks at the video cameras that he took because he wants to surprise the pretty human, but he did it wrong with that idea.
He should probably return them back. He put them in a bag and swim back to the boat.
When he got back to the boat, he noticed that the pretty human was gone.
He became worried. Where is the pretty human? Scar asked himself.

Grian was lost in the ocean. It was raining hard, and the waves were getting stronger. Before he knew it, waves knocked him out.

(The next part, the english may not be the best, because of the lack of sleep.)
Grian slowly opened his eyes and saw the silver moon in the sky... grian cannot remember why his head hurts. He noticed he was lying down on the boat. So he tried to sit up, but he felt something on his chest.

Scar opened his eyes to see that the pretty human was up. He was gonna say something, but the pretty human put their hands on his cheeks and asked if he is real.
Scar didn't know what to say. He laughed a little bit before he told the pretty human to rest.
The pretty human nods before he closes his eyes and sleep.
◇
After a few days. The pain in his head has gone away. Grian looked at the mermaid more. Then Grian asks, "Is there a chance that your name is scar?"
Scar was shocked that the pretty human remembered his name. But sadly, scar forgot his name. Scar nods before he says, "Sorry, but I don't remember your name."
Grian laughs and says that it is okay before he kisses scar on the forehead. Scar kiss back on his cheek. "Can we be a thing?" Scar asks while showing him the coral crystal crown.
"What do you think?" Grian asks before he puts his lips on scar lips. Scar put the coral crystal crown on grian head. Before he start kissing back.

The rest of the months of the year. They didn't leave the other side. Unfortunately, grian told Scar that he would have to go back to land after this week.
Scar ask if any way that they can still see each other. Grian looks sad, and scar can tell the answers in his eyes. Scar told grian that it was okay and that he could give him something to remember him.
After that week. Grian can't stop thinking about scar. Sure, scar promised to give him something to remember him, but grian cannot remember what it was. He knows that it was something else.
The pretty sea shells, pearl necklace, and coral crystal crown were gifts before he told scar about going back to land. So what is the thing that scar promises...
Grian thinks about taking a pregnancy test.
(I am not good at making endings for my ideas. Anyways, what do you think? This was fun to write.)
