Oh my Dewis wag/influencer Daniel fic🥰 Daniel is a popular travel/luxury vlogger/influencer and he keeps his relationship very private. Here's the first part ☺️

Daniel smiled at the artfully arranged bouquet that sat on the corner of his desk. He reached out to stroke a bright petal before going back to focusing on his most recent vlog.

He loved traveling and he loved vlogging. It was something he stumbled into and was surprised at how easily it came to him. He was charismatic and personable and apparently that translated well in his content. His millions of followers across social media were a testament to that.

He loved all of the busywork that came with being an influencer and running his own business. But he truly did not like editing his own videos.

Sure, he made enough money to hire someone to do it, but Daniel was a stickler, he didn't like people touching his things. Or knowing his business. He was a very private person, usually. No matter what his profession was.

He didn't particularly want to share his private life with the world. His family, his close friends. His boyfriend.

His fans and following know he's in a long term relationship. With how open and forthright he is with them, it was fairly impossible to keep a long term romance a secret.

His fans were sharp eyed, they noticed the moment things were different. The moment he let the first ‘we’ slip. Eagle eyed for gossip, they noticed every gift and change. So Daniel appeased them. Discreetly, of course.

They knew he was in a relationship, they knew he was happy and in love. That was it. There was nothing more they needed to know about the man dubbed ‘Mr. Seven’.

Daniel snorted at the name, unconsciously coined during a brand trip. Daniel could still hear the teasing tone when Blake had cooed ‘ooh Mr Seven' during a quick check in tiktok. The rest had been history.

Just throwing it out there: why does Disney get so much criticism for not being original when Dreamworks has made a bunch of adapted films and hasn't gotten as much criticism?

Several Dreamworks films have been based on novels, fairy tales, shows, and other well-known properties. And I'm not talking about specific content. Growing up, I always heard people saying that Dreamworks was better than Disney because Disney did nothing but adaptations (which wasn't true; that's just what they were known for). I feel like on several occasions, situations pop up where people are quick to overlook or criticize Disney while Dreamworks isn't held to the same standard. A lot of Disney's adaptations have been received positively, either from critics, fans, or both. But it's still seen as too reliant on adaptations; Dreamworks also heavily relies on them, yet is seen as superior, with no one saying "they've run out of original ideas."

Note: I'm NOT criticizing adaptating works. I'm just saying those who do pertaining to Disney seem to be biased.

I just think that personally if I hero-worshipped someone from early childhood up to a rather questionably late point in my adult life and then, upon becoming a superhero myself, I met the man I’d looked up to for so long - the one who was marketed as the golden boy, America’s sweetheart, society’s moral compass - and he quite clearly disliked me from the get go I’d go incredibly insane. Personally.

I think Tuvok and Seven should suffer from headaches and disorientation semi-frequently. Seven because of Borg things...in my mind the Borg implants have to be adjusted regularly to keep them from trying in vain to re-assimilate her (which only hurts her, there's no danger of her actually assimilating again if another Borg doesn't do it) and this process will likely have to continue for the rest of her life since she needs them to survive, like relying on her chamber since she's unable to sleep. There's also the episode where she's experiencing the other assimilated personalities as if they're her own and though that's resolved by the end of the episode imagine...if it weren't? Not completely at least. Seven getting random bits of knowledge, random feelings that aren't her own, the urge to do or eat certain things she's certain she never tried before. Moments of unfamiliar terror she has to fight through. Tuvok as a side effect of literally having brain damage in one episode (though it's resolved by episode's end due to the nature of Voyager's format, I thought it'd be interesting if he still had some things that he has to monitor like headaches, nausea, memory issues) and having some kind of brain surgery done on him by Teero. He also frequently does extremely risky mind melds which the Doctor warns might cause brain damage and I imagine might potentially also cause disorientation if mind melding with Suder once made him 'pick up' on his more violent tendencies - imagine what melds like the one with Seven while she was overwhelmed with the other assimilated personalities might theoretically do. Not to mention being fully assimilated by the Borg at one point, though I think the effects of that would fade with time given how brief his time in the collective was. They're also both absolutely the type of person who wouldn't tell anyone about these issues unless it was absolutely necessary/they couldn't hide it anymore. And even then they might downplay it.

one teeny, tiny quote from the hunger games that has always stuck out to me is the last sentence in this paragraph,

“The district had given us a small amount of money as compensation for his death, enough to cover one month of grieving at which time my mother would be expected to get a job. Only she didn’t. She didn’t do anything but sit propped up in a chair or, more often, huddled under the blankets on her bed, eyes fixed on some point in the distance. Once in a while, she’d stir, get up as if moved by some urgent purpose, only to then collapse back into stillness. No amount of pleading from Prim seemed to affect her.”

this always stuck out to me because in my opinion it speaks to katniss’ extremely low self-esteem. throughout the series she never views herself as good or kind or worthy, and i’ve always felt it began with her mother’s mental illness.

now let’s be clear: did mother everdeen choose to be depressed/despondent? no, of course not. but things can happen outside your control and it can still hurt people you love. your children especially.

at the point this quote is taken from, katniss isn’t referring to a time when she was already parentified and hardened against her mother. she’s explaining to the audience how she became parentified and resentful. so i find it interesting that when describing her mother’s behaviors that first month after her father passed, katniss specifically says “no amount of pleading from prim seemed to affect her”. not “no amount of pleading from us” or “no amount of pleading from me and prim”, it’s only prim’s pain and begging that means anything in katniss’ mind.

and yes, it could be argued that maybe katniss refused to beg her mother to take care of them but it’s never read that way to me. katniss is referring to right directly after her father died, before peeta had tossed her that bread and she’d realized she could hunt. she’s referring to a time when mrs. everdeen probably could have still won her eldest daughter back. imo there’s no reason katniss wouldn’t have been begging and pleading with her mom as well.

and yet, katniss seems to imply that her mother ignoring prim’s pleads is the only travesty here. the only thing worth noting. not her own neglect, not her own heartbreak and desperation, but instead prim’s. because to katniss, prim is the one who’s worthy of everything good. prim is the one who’s deserving of love.

same way she says,

“Because if it had become known that my mother could no longer care for us, the district would have taken us away from her and placed us in the community home. I’d grown up seeing those home kids at school. The sadness, the marks “of angry hands on their faces, the hopelessness that curled their shoulders forward. I could never let that happen to Prim.”

because she views her sister differently than she views herself. it makes sense in her mind that her mother may not be swayed by her pleads because she isn’t as good or kind or wonderful as her little sister. to ignore her is one thing but to ignore prim… that’s where katniss draws the line.

i just rarely have seen katniss’ lack of self-worth tied back to her mother’s abandonment. i know mrs. everdeen couldn’t help what happened and she probably hated herself for it but to me, it seems to be where katniss’ inability to see herself as good and kind and lovable began. because if you feel like your mother abandoned you in your time of need, as a child, how can it not affect the way you view yourself? how would that not affect your sense of self/self-worth?

it didn’t affect prim’s (that we know of) because katniss was there to protect her. katniss was there to make sure she never felt the same abandonment she felt. but there was no one protecting katniss and that’s where her issues with self-loathing all seemed to begin.

I love it when the actors and hopefully more Korean actresses speak in their language to everyone… mostly the people in Hollywood.

I really love it when Lee Byung Hun speaks both Korean and English. I hope he gets to speak English more. When I heard about him being bullied, I was like what do you guys mean??? He speaks English well, he just has an accent and needs to articulate his next thoughts in another language 😭😭 what the actual hell?
