Supongo que es la edad

Un día me obsesioné con los bollitos al vapor, por un lado porque TDAH, pero también vegana, y hay muy pocos alimentos callejeros que pueda comprar, y me hizo muy feliz toparme con un personaje de anime que disfrutó tanto como yo ese descubrimiento.

Últimamente me he encontrado consumiendo animes que no tienen la típica estructura de "conflicto por resolver" o "relación que consumar". El escenario y los personajes se mueven en un amplio rango: magos, godínez, villanos, extraterrestres, asesinos a sueldo, preparatorianos, yakuzas, escritores, gatos... El punto es que en estas historias no hay nudo, tampoco desenlace, creo que las llaman slice of life. Siempre que comenzaba una, dudaba mucho en seguir viéndola, incluso cuando terminaba me quedaba un poco decepcionada, y creo que el problema era lo que esperaba de la serie, lo confirmo cuando leo comentarios de personas que las abandonan por lo aburridas que les terminan pareciendo.

La clave es ésta: el valor de cada uno de los episodios radica en los detalles, la cotidianidad retratada de tal manera que ir al 7-eleven a comprarte un bollito es una alegoría sobre las formas en las que puedes compensarte por el gran trabajo que haces cada día; todo el background que hay cuando una persona desconocida te hace una recomendación, la belleza en las interacciones casuales, lo sublime que puede ser cocinar, algo tan simple como picar las verduras, para después degustar cada bocado. En resumen, estas series son una visión mindfulness de la vida, y verlas me parece equiparable a una práctica estoica, como cuando estoy meditando y al retomar mis actividades es más fácil notar la belleza que me rodea a cada instante en la trivialidad de mi existencia.

Aquí les dejo algunas de las que más me han gustado, no las consideren precisamente recomendaciones porque son radicalmente distintas tanto en temática como en calidad, las hay con un increíble desarrollo de personajes, otras tocan temas muy fuertes, o también te pueden dar un coma diabético, en fin, sólo quería compartirles este otro lado del anime que estoy disfrutando enormemente.

Nota: pongo los títulos en las etiquetas, me hace mucha gracia es tendencia a nombrarlas con frases larguísimas aunque me dificulta horriblemente memorizarlas. xD

(its a motif with double meaning. it contrasts his feelings of being cold and unfulfilled and dead. but also. he is burning alive. literally destroying himself. as he goes further down this path and keeps digging his grave.)

"Her drawings....?" Kariom echoes, eyebrows raising as he thinks on the question. He'd seen some of them---a lot of them, actually---but he knew that she had even more. She was always drawing and writing things down across multiple journals INCLUDING THE ONE SHE DIDN'T LET ANYONE ELSE LOOK AT, not even Kariom himself, and of course that's the one he's the most curious about.....

"....They're...nice, I guess." The star-reader huffs briefly, his gaze shifting to look over the immortal's shoulder---just in case---and then continues, "Okay fine...THEY'RE REALLY NICE. I don't get all of them, and some the things regarding the Tsourai are a little off sometimes but she's trying. Some of her stuff even reminds me of....." He trails off once more, his bout of unguarded honesty now tinged with apparent grief. Milosh. Milosh. Milosh. Milosh would've liked her drawings and notes for sure because he'd made them too. It made him worry about that bound journal of hers all the more, in a way. That sense of sharp unease he had about it refused to go away no matter how much time they spent together.

Enough. Enough, Stryhas dammit.

Now the star-reader forces out another breath, slower than the last, longer. Refocusing. Milosh had enjoyed his work and the Traveler was the same....weren't they? Shouldn't this be a happy question....?

"I'll have to ask her if she's drawn anything new once she gets back." The star-reader saying that he thought her drawings were nice wasn't a lie and Kariom was always excited to share such things with her, even if it was a struggle for him to admit it. "...and maybe I'LL SHOW HER HOW TO DRAW SOME NEW CONSTELLATIONS TOO."

That's a fair take honestly, but the whole issue as i've seen it so far doesn't really have a solid answer. I've seen some people have the idea that Jotun can controll whether their skin is cold enough to burn anyone non-jotun that touches them, and can kind of turn it on and off, like being in attack mode. But not everyone agrees that's the case, some people do think that Jotun skin just is cold enought to burn all the time and they can't controll it at all. I've never seen any cannon source discuss it so i guess it's up to interpretation

Wait I don’t know if anyone’s talked about this before, but in Jotun Loki fics, people always have the reader touch him while he’s in that form which sort of… never made sense to me.

Considering the fact that he’d be reverted to his Jotun form, wouldn’t anyone who touched him began to freeze? Hence why (perhaps one of the reasons) Loki in Thor 1 was so apprehensive about grabbing Odin’s hand, with the hand the Jotun grabbed him by and reverted him with in Jotunheim?

I… don’t think you’d be able to touch him. And he wouldn’t just be cold to the touch. Loki is ALREADY quite cold to the touch canonically (right bottom corner shown in the picture above), so in his Jotun form… he’d be freezing.

Anyone please correct me if I’m wrong, though. Was just wondering because I always had the sort of idea that if you touched Loki while he was reverted to his Jotun form, that it would be dangerous. Just like touching any other Jotun.

Which is one of the reasons he was probably afraid to grab Odin’s hand. Not only at the thought of himself being a “monster” and untouchable in that sense, but also literally being untouchable because it wasn’t necessarily safe and he was hyper conscious of it, even if he had already been reverted back.

I get people excuse things for the sake of Fanfic, but I actually don’t think I’ve seen people talk about this before. So I don’t know if it’s just them excusing it, or a fandom-wide misconception.

May reword this later. Probably sounds a bit stupid and might be straight up incorrect in some areas because I just woke up.
