Baby Blue. Season 1 Episode 17
For me this scene showed that Reese's heart wasn't completely cold. He was going to do everything he could to save that child, even if it meant making a decision that was going to cost him.

The first time I ever saw someone answer a cell phone in a movie theater was in the middle of a midnight screening of Mel Gibson’s The Passion Of The Christ. A blood-drenched Jim Caviezel was being whipped when I heard “Hello? Yeah, what’s good? I’m in the movie.” My stomach started to bounce as I tried, unsuccessfully, to stifle a laugh. My friend Jeremy elbowed me to either egg me on or stop me, knowing the laughter would catch on with the rest of our group: ten other Saint Ignatius High School students who chose to go on an “Urban Immersion” retreat our senior year.
I saw Mr. Grady’s tear-stained face turn in the darkness. He was sitting a row in front of us, and he appeared to be livid. He let out a sharp “shhh!” then looked over to let us know he’d do far worse if we did anything further to disrupt his viewing experience. Disciplinary actions would be taken if we giggled again. Our trip would be cut short. A teacher threatening to send us all home to our parents that week, however, would have been welcomed.
Most Ignatius students went on “Kairos” retreats (Greek: “God’s Time”) that featured three days of camping and praying, followed by a “witness” portion where students arrived back on campus to share, at the center of St. Mary’s chapel, what they’d learned during their period of reflection. Typically, they said “I love you, Dad!” while fighting back tears before running back to their pews. They also wrote letters about their newfound or newly confirmed love of Jesus Christ. I received one of these letters from my best friend who was a year ahead of me. His words moved and excited me. I anticipated my trip all year.
The students in the movie theater with me that night, however, had all signed up for a retreat in which we spent the week living as if on the streets of inner-city Cleveland. The Urban Immersion retreat was four days of sleeping in a church basement, living off the equivalent of food stamps (about $5 a day for groups of four), and eating the rest of our meals at shelters where we also volunteered our time. There was also a “scared straight” period where we sat in a circle of folding chairs at the 2100 men’s shelter my friend Luke’s dad ran and listened to grown men scream about how “crack does not discriminate!”
Also, we got to see The Passion of The Christ opening night.
Perhaps you read about the record-setting earnings this movie made the week it premiered. The first $125 million was thanks to big groups like ours attending. Also thanks to the guy who had to answer his phone while the Romans killed Christ. I’m not sure how we as mock-poor kids on our immersion trip were supposed to be able to afford the movie ourselves in keeping with the rules, but the timing seemed right, so our teachers took us.
Read the rest here.

Michael Emerson and Jim Caviezel Share if They Want Their Characters to Survive
Emerson:
We’ve killed off so many people. I don’t know — what’s a good end for Mr. Finch? I never really think about him ending. He would be the last one, I think. But if he went out, he would do it as a sacrifice for another human, I’m sure. Maybe there’s some sort of transformation in store for some of the characters. Something meta, cyber. I don’t know. Maybe there’s a way to be absorbed into the Machine somehow. We’ve never been out that far. And that would be a lot for a show that started out as a crime of the week, procedural. That would be a little cuckoo. But [executive producers] Jonah [Nolan] and Greg [Plageman] say they know the last scene and the last image. Who knows what it is? It’s better if it’s a surprise.
Caviezel:
The laws of averages. It’s the laws of averages. Really, Jonah wrote right [the warning] from the beginning for Finch. The point being, everybody dies, but not everybody really lives, to quote BRAVEHEART. But that’s the truth. This is the first time he’s really had the chance to live, and he at least gets to go up against a formidable foe in Samaritan. He’s very intelligent; he doesn’t play regular chess — that’s what Finch does. I play speed chess. Go fast, hit the clock, attack. He’s always attacking, always on the offensive. And soon enough, you’ll think eventually you go down, but at least you’re fighting. You can say I fought the fight. Teddy Roosevelt: the guys in the ring, the warriors and gladiators in the ring, that other people might criticize and do, but he was all action. I have no idea where they’re going to go with this story. Jonah, he’s Fort Knox. I never have. I never knew what it was. But I think they’ve assembled the best and the worst in all of us. The writers have been able to use parts of the lines that go through us.

(slamming the uno-reverse-card in your ask-box)
Ask game!
Which actors/actresses would you headcast as your (books/games) blorbos? Do Emhyr, Geralt and Regis please!!
Oh boy.
So. Actually when I wrote some funny bickering dialogue you'll get to read tomorrow, it occurred to me that *that* Emhyr was influenced a lot by Mandy Patinkin in Chicago Hope :) (Inigo Montoya - I think that gets more of an "oh HIM") Have some serious pictures of him, which is difficult because he's Mr Chuckleface but can be very intense on screen:
@tigerlyla-of-metinna said Lee Pace, and he has definitely Emhyr energy although in a more fragile way - also he has very distinctive eyebrows which Emhyr very distinctively has not. Everyone knows Lee Pace, I don't need to give you pictures.
Recently it also hit me how Kyle Maclachlan can have it goes into the blender for my Emhyr smoothie. And his Dune self for Duny:
A further ingredient - and do not laugh - is Matt Smith. Dye that stupid wig black (or, you know: new wig) and you got a very stone-faced Emhyr. He needs to get older, of course; let's put him in an oak barrel for a few years:
Now on to pretty boi: I'll put 50% Richard Armitage into the Geralt smoothie
and 50% arsehole Jim Caviezel
who is, unfortunately, a horrible, ultra conservative human being, apparently, but walks around with Geralt-face and can do Geralt voice.
I have no Regis because he's always been just good ol' Regis from TW3 to me, the nicest being on the Witcher planet but ultimately friend-shaped to me. @andordean might have managed to change that by saying "David Strathairn" - I've reached my picture limit for this post, go check out her ask-answer post, it has a gif that makes you go "uh, is it hot in here?".

Library geography part 1
@spinner-sophie asked “Hi, do you happen to know how many floors there are in the library? Three maybe?” and I’m going to answer as a (long) post (edit: two posts). Because the answer is: I’ve been trying to get the library layout straight in my head and I can’t.
[ The fandom wiki is vague, but if anyone has worked it out, let me know! ]
I feel that everything we see inside the library is meant to be on the same floor, as we’re never shown any stairs other than the ones they enter by. However, I struggle to reconcile the corridors to any sort of floor plan.
For a start, even the ‘side’ corridor (by which I mean the one that runs at right angles to the entryway and past the tea nook) isn’t consistent.
[ I’ve found it a bit tricky to get clear shots of this corridor, as it’s mainly seen in transition. ]
Here are a couple of shots of John leaving the tea nook and entering the main room (S1E5)
If you can look past Mr Caviezel’s chest for a second, you can see the corridor has tall (or high) windows on the outside, apparently with bookshelves between, is lined by shelves on the inside, and looks to give round to the right at the far end into what I assume is a corner room or shelving area, like on the opposite side, rather than another corridor (because where would that go?).
Here’s a clearer shot of the bookshelves themselves from S1E12:
This one below is from ‘Baby Blue’ (S1E17). You can see the windows unobstructed now on the outside, and there doesn’t appear to be room for the bookcases to have been there (even short ones) so that’s weird:
There are a few other changes in this area over the first couple of seasons that can be largely shrugged off as scenery-shuffling (a map appears, there’s a wardrobe for literally one scene. Maybe John spends off-hours moving furniture, it’s possible).
But the thing that really throws me off is this from the end of Season 2:
Where is this corridor? Because that looks very much like the back wall of the main room at the end there, with it’s decorative ironwork caging in front of the shelves. But it can’t be. The windows are on completely the wrong side.
Here’s the ‘same’ corridor from when John first finds the ‘Ghost in the Machine’ book, but this time it turns off to the right instead of going straight into a room at the back (not sure where this corridor is either tbh). So not the same one? The book was moved?
It’s not the middle corridor that runs off the side corridor (the one Leon’s sticking his head out of below) because you’d see the side corridor windows and shelves at the end.
(By the way, in my mind, this middle corridor should run straight into the back corridor, but instead it turns left. Maybe they meet at an angle somehow!)
It’s not the back corridor either (come up the stairwell, turn left, turn right) because that’s this one:
Maybe it is another floor! But going back to the image with Sameen and John above, it seems from the top of the exhaust you can see through the window, that it’s at the same level as the rest of the rooms that we regularly see.
So, who knows? (seriously, who knows, please tell me!)
Which brings me to my next point, that I can’t match the interior and exterior.
To be continued ...

The mutiny took hold on Mackinac Island.
The Michigan Republican Party’s revered two-day policy and politics gathering, the Mackinac Republican Leadership Conference, was an utter mess.
Attendance had plummeted. Top-tier presidential candidates skipped the September event, and some speakers didn’t show. Guests were baffled by a scoring system that rated their ideology on a scale, from a true conservative to a so-called RINO, or Republican in name only.
And the state party, already deeply in debt, had taken out a $110,000 loan to pay the keynote speaker, Jim Caviezel, an actor who has built an ardent following among the far right after starring in a hit movie this summer about child sex trafficking. The loan came from a trust tied to the wife of the party’s executive director, according to party records.
For some Michigan Republicans, it was the final straw for a chaotic state party leadership that has been plagued by mounting financial problems, lackluster fund-raising, secretive meetings and persistent infighting. Blame has centered on the fiery chairwoman, Kristina Karamo, who skyrocketed to the top of the state party through a combative brand of election denialism but has failed to make good on her promises for new fund-raising sources and armies of activists.
This month, the internal dissension has erupted into an attempt to oust Ms. Karamo, which, if successful, would be the first removal of a leader of the Michigan Republican Party in decades. Nearly 40 members of the Michigan Republican Party’s state committee called for a meeting in late December to explore forcing out Ms. Karamo. Just before Christmas, Malinda Pego, Ms. Karamo’s running mate for state party chair and the co-chair of the committee, signed onto that effort, in an ominous sign for the embattled chairwoman. And on Thursday, eight of the 13 Republican congressional district party chairs asked Ms. Karamo to resign in a joint letter, pleading with her to “put an end to the chaos” by stepping down.
But that meeting has now been delayed, with no definite date on the calendar. Ms. Karamo has vowed to fight back, railing against the effort as illegitimate.
The pitched battle for control of the state party in a pre-eminent presidential battleground is the most extreme example of conflicts brewing in state Republican parties across the country. Once dominated largely by moneyed establishment donors and their allies, many state parties have been taken over by grass-roots Republican activists energized by former President Donald J. Trump and his broadsides against the legitimacy of elections.
These activists, now holding positions of state and local power, have elevated others who share their views, prioritizing election denialism over experience and credentials.
The result has been fund-raising problems and division. The Republican Party of Arizona spent much of this year in debt.
The Republican Party of Georgia has had similar difficulties, mostly caused by legal fees related to efforts to subvert the 2020 election. The state’s governor, Brian Kemp, a rare G.O.P. leader to buck Mr. Trump, had been forced to form his own political apparatus outside the state party for his re-election campaign in 2022. The leaders of the party in both states have aligned themselves with the election-denial movement.
Veterans of Republican politics say that state parties play vital roles in winning elections, acting as a clearinghouse for distributing large donations from national groups unfamiliar with local terrain and offering discounts on expensive campaign costs like mail. They help identify potential candidates and winnable races. They are a font of the kinds of activists and volunteers critical to powering statewide campaigns. And they raise money.
All of that is at risk in places like Michigan.
“It takes people doing the shoe-leather kind of things in campaigns on top of the money, and that’s where I think that Michigan is going to be hampered,” said Jeff Timmer, a former executive director of the Michigan Republican Party. “You can’t replace everything with money. Some things still take people on top of it, and they can’t buy mercenaries to do that.”
That could have a significant impact in Michigan, where recent polling has shown Mr. Trump with only a slim lead over President Biden and where, in 2022, a Democratic wave swept over the state.
But before the state Republican Party can help try to flip the state red, it must clear out its debt, which stood around $620,000 as of early December, according to bank records released in a report by state Republicans targeting Ms. Karamo. The party will have to raise money on its own simply to pay down its ledger.
The precarious finances have left national Republicans uneasy about giving money to the state party for election-related activity, worrying that it would simply be put toward the debt, according to two people familiar with the Republican National Committee’s deliberations.
Republican state legislators are growing frustrated.
“The Michigan Republican Party is on the verge of imploding; I have more money in my campaign account than the state party has in its,” State Representative Mark Tisdel said at a town-hall meeting in December. “Sooner or later, the creditors are going to come calling.”
Ms. Karamo did not respond to requests for comment, but she released a letter two days before Christmas proclaiming that “we will not be deterred” and denouncing the “infighting.”
“These deceptive and underhanded endeavors endanger the Michigan G.O.P.’s drive toward victory in 2024,” she wrote. “They also disrupt the determination of the Republican men and women who are working tirelessly to win the spiritual war being fought on a cultural battlefield.”
Daniel Hartman, a lawyer for the Michigan Republican Party, described the effort to remove Ms. Karamo as “about approximately 15 agitators,” adding that “another 15 people out of 120 are committee members who have been opposing the administration from Day 1.”
The party’s rules, he added, do not allow for the removal of any officer unless 50 percent of the state party’s delegates sign a petition requesting a vote and 75 percent of the state committee votes to remove the officer.
The Republican National Committee declined to answer questions about the Michigan G.O.P.
With major donors fleeing, Ms. Karamo pitched a new direction for the state party: trying to persuade nearly 500,000 small-business owners in Michigan, who she claimed were right-leaning, to contribute $10 to $50 every month. After a “60-day infrastructure ramp-up time,” she projected that the party would raise as much as $60 million annually.
It did not.
By July, the party had less than $150,000 in the bank. Under siege, the state party leadership began to hold meetings in private. A meeting that month devolved into a fistfight that broke a county chairman’s dentures and left him with stress fractures in his spine, The Detroit News reported.
Ms. Karamo soon began expelling dissident party officials. Vice chairs began complaining in the news media that they felt sidelined. Two members of the budget committee resigned out of fear of liability, according to the report compiled by anti-Karamo Republicans. And she dissolved the party’s conflict-resolution committee.
The tumultuous Mackinac gathering left Michigan Republicans even more alienated.
“They scored us as being solid Republican — a one, two, three or a four — and a number four being a RINO,” said Pete Hoekstra, a former ambassador to the Netherlands during the Trump administration and a former Republican congressman from Michigan. “We’re supposed to be building a party, not dividing a party into our own categories.”
By November, Ms. Karamo was trying to sell the party’s former headquarters, a building blocks from the State Capitol in Lansing that had been paid for by two wealthy donors. Ms. Karamo and the state party do not own the building; it is owned by a trust controlled by former state party chairs.
Ms. Karamo had vacated the headquarters months earlier, arguing that its maintenance fees were an unnecessary cost. When she left, Ms. Karamo allowed the electricity to be shut off, which released the building’s electronic locks and left it open to the public, according to the report from Republicans opposed to the chairwoman.
The report’s main author, Warren Carpenter, is a local Republican leader and a former Karamo ally. With the help of a former state attorney general, he compiled the 140-page document, titled “The Failed Leadership of the Karamo Administration.”. The New York Times obtained a copy of the report.
The report details favors by Ms. Karamo to political allies, such as paying nearly $90,000 to a business run by the man who nominated her as chairwoman; sloppy bookkeeping; and the party’s mounting debt.
Soon, prominent county chairs were urging Ms. Karamo’s removal.
Mark Forton, the chair of the Macomb County Republican Party, who had been a key force in Ms. Karamo’s rise, called in late November for “a complete change in leadership” in a letter to the state committee that was obtained by The Times.
In early December, Vance Patrick, the chair of the Oakland County Republican Party, the largest county party organization in the state, encouraged her removal, citing “a new controversy every week, distracting from the important business of organizing the party to win elections.”
Mr. Carpenter said in an interview that he had enough votes to oust Ms. Karamo, but that he and like-minded Republicans were proceeding cautiously out of a belief that she might sue.
At the same time, anti-Karamo Republicans are looking for a new leader. One person floated is Mr. Hoekstra, who said that he was not considering such a move “until there’s an opening,” but that he had indicated a “clear willingness over the last few months to help the party out.”
“To win in Michigan, you need Republicans, you need independents, and you have to draw Democrats,” he said, pointing to Mr. Trump’s coalition in 2016, when he won the state by about 10,000 votes. “We need everybody to feel welcome into the party.”
Many of Ms. Karamo’s former allies, meanwhile, feel disillusioned.
“Ladies and gentlemen, there is no way that we can observe the happenings of the last nine months and defend this administration by using comments like inexperience,’ or ‘incompetence,’” Mr. Forton wrote in his November letter. “Simply put, we have been had.”

Actually, I'm not done talking about this.
Here is my reasoning for saying Dracula:
Muppet Moby Dick would be awful unless they changed the story beyond all recognition. Because Moby Dick is an awful story. Because it isn't a story. It's like, "I got on a whaling ship. A lot of metaphors happened. We tried to kill a whale. We failed. Then everybody died but me." That summary actually probably conveys more plot than actually appears in the novel. Please do not.
Muppet Hamlet: This could be interesting, but again, could only be a Muppet movie if they significantly changed the plot. Cause... uh... there's a lot of tragic dyin' in that thar play. The point of Hamlet (at least the way it is interpreted by modern literature) isn't the plot, it's the philosophizing, and philosophizing does not a good Muppet movie make. (I want that on a tshirt.)
Muppet Metamorphosis: Metamorphosis is even more depressing than Hamlet and has even less plot than Moby Dick. Seriously.
Muppet Count of Monte Cristo: Have you ever read this novel? It is a long-ass, weird-ass book. Guy gets screwed over by people, escapes from Alcatraz, then spends like a decade getting his psychological revenge on the people who betrayed him because he literally thinks he's the instrument of Divine Justice. And again, that conveys more interest than the narrative actually holds. A Muppet version of James Caviezel movie adaptation? Sure. A Muppet version of the novel? Ehhhhhhhhh please no.
Muppet Pride and Prejudice: This could work. There are enough silly and over-the-top characters that they could make it work as an over-the-top comedy, while at the same time, the story has some heart that they could be srs bzns about. My only worry is that too much of the story is one-on-one romantic stuff, which means either a ton of kermit and piggy trying to be srs bzns or a ton of the two humans interacting without any muppets. And I would definitely want kermit and piggy to play mr. and mrs. bennet. 100%.
Muppet War of the Worlds: Never read it; can't opine. From what little I remember about the plot, I think it might be simultaneously too scary and too depressing for a Muppet movie. I don't particularly want a post-apocalyptic Muppet movie unless it's going to be a parody of something entirely over-the-top, like Mad Max.
Muppet Odyssey: I feel like this could work. My only worry would be that the Odyssey is already so wild and fantastical that it wouldn't be funny enough: a lot of the humor of the Muppets is taking something relatively serious that has its ridiculous inclusions and making it absolutely bonkers. The Odyssey is already pretty bonkers. (Tho I want Circe to be played by Miss Piggy so she can turn all of Kermit's crew into pigs, AND I also want her to play Penelope, because that would just be funny as hell.)
Muppet Great Gatsby: I almost voted for this. Because this is EXACTLY the kind of story that imo good Muppet movies are made from: it is a story that takes itself Sooper Seriously Guys that is also kind of ridiculous, so the Muppets could mine all the ridiculousness out of it. The only problem is that, again, they would have to change a lot of it to make it less tragic, depressing, violent, misogynistic... Well, make it less Great Gatsby I guess is what I'm saying.
Muppet Dracula: This is the one I voted for. The story takes itself seriously but is over-the-top and bizarre and hilarious and just ASKING to be parodied. There's plenty of plot and action. There are a lot of fun characters. Kermit and Piggy are NOT Jonathan and Mina Harker, but Arthur and Lucy. They'd have to do something to the plot to deal with the fact that Piggy gets staked and her head cut off, but most of the rest of the story could stay, I think. Also, Dracula is a well-known and beloved story, just like Xmas Carol and Treasure Island. It's wild already, and the Muppets would have just the right sense of humor to make it truly hilarious.
(Bonus points if you explain how you would adapt it in the tags)

Take me back to Eden
A Songfic inspired by the song "Take me back to Eden" by Sleep Token.

Please tag on. I have forgotten a few POI blogs so my apologise
An anchor was what she was to him. She showed him mercy at his lowest point, compassion when he was shot, strength when their foes were hunting them down. She had managed to keep this lone wolf under control, made him feel like he was part of a pack, made him feel loved.
Reese had plenty of chances to drop his guard, let her in and bury the monster he used to be, he could have had something, he could have had everything he desired but he left it too long and now it was too late.
I dream in phosphorescence Bleed through spaces See you drifting past the fog But no one told you where to go We dive through crystal waters, perfect oceans But no one told me not to breathe And now the weightlessness recedes
Returning back to the darkness felt natural. The pain from bleeding wounds were numbed, grief now turned into a burning fire of vengeance and the monster had retaken its seat at the top of the table, its hunger would only be quashed when those involved were slain by his blood soaked hands
He should have allowed Harold to get him treated by one of his contacts but there was no time for back end hospital treatments or for wounds to heal. Those would need patching up on the fly, hatchet job stitches and bandages made from rags. It wasn’t pretty but it would hold for the time being while he walked, once again, down the path of the cold blooded killer. Hoping this time it would be a one way trip, hoping once his bloodlust was quenched, he could finally join her.
My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire I will travel far beyond the path of reason Take me back to Eden, take me back to Eden Take me back to Eden
Simmons was the man to pull the trigger on them but Reese knew he was just the mouthpiece, he knew that order came from above, the man who Carter was putting away. Quinn and he knew where Simmons was going to run to.
Two birds one stone.
For all Reese cared, the wolves that lay in wait could have Simmons but Quinn, Quinn was in his crosshairs and he was determined to remove him permanently. Yet time wasn’t on his side. His wounds were not healing, every day he was popping sutures and patching himself up again, everyday the rags were drenched in blood, blood that his body was struggling to replace.
Porcelain bathroom sinks were tainted with his crimson nectar, a sight he was oh too familiar with but the fire raged within him, there was no time to process the toil he was dragging his body through, his soul growing colder. Carter wanted to take Quinn down the right way, Reese just wanted to take him out, one way or another. Nobody was going to change his mind. Calls were missed and messages ignored.
His mind was set. The cold blooded killer returned.
Well yeah, I spit blood when I wake up Sink porcelain stained, choking up brain matter and makeup Just two days since the mainframe went down and I'm still messed up Room feels like a meat freezer, I dangle in it like cold cuts Missed calls, answered phones from people I just don't trust Mirror talk, fake love But I'll take a pound of your flesh Before you take a piece of my paystub White roses, black doves, Godmother, rise up I need you to see me for what I have become
He knew the US marshals would be protecting him, he knew where they would be holed up and the best ways to remove them from his mission. Plunge them into darkness, blind them and make sure none of them would get up to disrupt his plans. As simple as it was to perform, even that gave Reese a great deal of pain.
He needed a moment to catch his breath, to mask the pain of his wounds and that of his broken heart. Oh how he blamed himself for not being more open towards her, how he left it till that fateful night to drop his guard. He took her being there, ready to put her neck on the line, for granted and now she was gone and that hurt more than the inflamed bullet holes that oozed blood profusely.
My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire I guess it goes to show, does it not? That we've no idea what we've got until we lose it And no amount of love will keep it around If we don't choose it
As he marched down the corridor, he could feel the flames of fury take hold, the burning rage filling his eyes. He knew Quinn was in the room, he knew that whoever was with him didn’t stand a chance and he knew deep down that this wouldn’t bring her back.
If this was to be his last stand at least it would put him at peace, knowing he took the life of the man who coldly ordered her death.
And I don't know what's got its teeth in me But I'm about to bite back in anger No amount of self-sought fury Will bring back the glory of innocence
He watched as the last remaining guard crept out the room, he moved so that he was hidden and then struck, marching the guard back into the room at gunpoint before knocking them out and turning the gun on Quinn, fighting against himself to not end the man's life instantly, to prolong it, make the man give up information that he needed to relay over. Yet Quinn gave a speech about loyalty, droning on about not wanting to break the loyalty he had with Simmons, even if Reese threatened to kill him.
Magic words.
There was no threat, he was going to kill him even if he got what he wanted and he wouldn’t make it painless, he wouldn’t make it quick, he was going to drag it out and he made certain to tell him that, even if his breathing was becoming more labored and the pain more intense. It worked. He got what he needed from him and Reese was going to deliver on his promise, the gun trained on the man’s head, mere seconds from pulling the trigger before he was stopped, stopped by Harold's gentle voice, reminding him what she had sacrificed to bring down Quinn on her terms.
He didn’t want to undo all that but the urge, the urge was strong. He wouldn’t do it in her name, he would do it to soothe his own soul, to correct his own mistake. He saw the fear flash across Quinn’s eyes as he made one last ditch attempt to put a bullet in his skull, annoyed that he was spared by the gun failing. He looked to Harold for Mercy, an end to the pain he had endured. What he got in return was Shaw hauling him back to the car, getting him into the back before he passed out from blood loss.
That was the moment he was at peace, calm and pain free. His mind put him in a garden, basking in the sun while listening to the birds around him chirping and cheeping. Flowers were bright, colourful and smelling sweet and somewhere in the distance he could hear a stream. He took a deep breath, a smile on his lips as he closed his eyes for a brief moment before opening them again, seeing a shadow cascade over him and a familiar face peering down at him.
My, my, those eyes like fire I'm a winged insect, you're a funeral pyre Come now, bite through these wires I'm a waking hell and the gods grow tired Reset my patient violence along both lines of a pathway higher Grow back your sharpest teeth, you know my desire I have traveled far beyond the path of reason Take me back to Eden Take me back to Eden

❍❍❍ TV MOVIE ❍❍❍
The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadcasts viewable only within a very short range from the broadcast tower starting in the 1930s. Televised events such as the 1936 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 19340 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 1939 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 19440 World MOVIE inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 1948, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers.
The first national live television broadcast in the US took place on September 4, 1951 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadcast stations in local markets.
The first national color broadcast (the 1954 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 1, 1954. During the following ten years most network broadcasts, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 1965, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadcast in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 19402, the last hSound of Freedom (2023)out among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season.
❍❍❍ Formats and Genres ❍❍❍
See also: List of genres § Film and television formats and genres
Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newscast and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional MOVIE). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed]
A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 1980s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadcast in any order.[citation needed] Since the 1980s, many MOVIE feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television MOVIE to have this kind of dramatic structure,[4][better source needed] while the later MOVIE Babylon 5 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story L'Attaque des Titans Saison 4 Épisode 7ning over its intended five-season Sound of Freedom (2023).[citation needed]
In 2012, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[5] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2012, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching television.

INHALTSANGABE
