Ok so most of these questions are dumb. Like cinemasins level media analysis. Except the first one that's a good one.

So barbieland isn't a perfect utopia, that's stated in the film. It's a pink plastic world. And what the fuck do you mean what is a utopia without sex? Do you need to fuck to be happy? Also if there's only heterosexual couples who the hell is Alan.

So the Ken and Barbie girlfriend and boyfriend thing is something I'm pretty sure is intentional. Ken really wants Barbie to be his girlfriend. That's like half his motivation trough the film. The fact that it effectively means nothing is the joke.

The genitalia thing is something called a joke. Them not having genitalia is just a nod to the toys.

Most of the questions about barbieland are based off of the assumption that barbieland is some sort of Utopic place. But barbieland is clearly shown to be a representation of the world that barbie, the real life toy, supposedly lives in. It's all pink and nice and Barbie is everyone and everything.

I do not know where the original poster got the idea that kens have less visual diversity. Because honestly both the kens and Barbies are even.

It's bad when the Barbies are powerless because they are practically enslaved. Seriously how do you misinterpret the movie this hard.

Submission isn't a good for Ken. The whole message of his story is that he doesn't have to chase barbie.

So the question of whether the character of stereotypical barbie is fascist or not is actually relatively interesting. But also you just picked one thing out of the definition of fascism and decided that that means barbie is a fascist based on that.

The pitch for ordinary barbie is just a collection of traits a lot of women have that are, culturally, seen as just kinda average. Interesting that the poster happened to hear that one phrase and decided that is the one thing the entire film stands by.

Barbie has good characteristics because protagonists are characters you are meant to root for (at least in most movies) and Ken has negative characteristics because you are meant to go against him. Simple as that.

The movie looks at womanhood a lot. And it just so happens that motherhood is one of the most defining traits of that. The earliest artistic depictions of women were tied to motherhood. Also it's the one thing that defines women over all cultures, including ones that don't have the same views of masculinity and femininity.

Have you seen r/movietheories? Are you embarrassed that redditors trying to figure out who will appear in the next marvel movie have better media analysis than you?

Wait, you watched a movie about womanhood and about what a woman can do and what women are, and your takeaway is that a woman did something bad in the 80s so the message is completely wrong? Ok hear me out, so I've been doing a lot of research towards this theory and it is okay if you don't agree with me, but this is what I believe in. And sorry if this offends you in any way.

In my investigative research towards natural elements, Elsa's ice powers is not considered an element but rather a state of matter (Frozen, Liquid, etc.) She is only, as stated in Frozen 2, a bridge between the elemental spirits of nature and people. As assumed in Frozen 2, Elsa is a spirit, but not an elemental.

Which leads to the question, who or what is the Fifth Elemental Spirit? This is the question that I first asked myself, but then after my research, the question that people should ask themselves is rather who or what are the Fifth AND the Sixth Elemental Spirits?

Now here are the theories I have came up with:

1. Samantha, the Forgotten Fifth/Sixth Elemental Spirit Theory: According to Olaf in Frozen 2, he mentions that "Water has memory" and during one of the scenes in the movie Olaf mentions the name "Samantha", twice. Yes I am aware that the name was improvised by Josh Gad himself and there will be people who will disregard this theory entirely. But what if, this "Samantha" was a forgotten elemental sprit from the PAST? And this also leads to one other question, what is her elemental power? According to both science and alchemy, there are two other natural elements other than the standard four elements; Samantha could have either the elemental power of Plasma (Electromagnetism) or Aether (Life Force). But Samantha having the Aether power is highly unlikely and this leads to my second theory.

2. The Mysterious Reindeer King, another Forgotten Fifth/Sixth Elemental Spirit Theory: In the deleted scenes of Frozen 2, a mysterious character appears in the original beginning scenes of Frozen 2 in which Young Agnarr and Young Iduna sees a person with reindeer antlers and shape shifts to a reindeer. In one of the episodes of "At Home with Olaf" YouTube video series, the "Adventure" episode, he mentions to Bruni that, and I quote, "Self-Proclaimed Reindeer King". The ability to shape shift is one of the many powers other than creating living things and universes that a user of the Aether power can use (refer to the Call of Duty Black Ops Zombies Storyline, specifically Dr. Monty and the Shadowman). But there is still possibility that the Reindeer King can have the Plasma elemental power.

In conclusion, we will never know until later on if there will be a Frozen 3, but one hopes, especially me. Many questions are left unanswered and until then they will be unanswered. But theories like these build curiosity and wonder of the lore of the Frozen universe, but let us remember to take these theories with a grain of salt, because it may not be true.

Long movie rant.

Just need somewhere to get something off my chest. It's been on my mind all damn night.

I rewatched 'Split' last night, because 'Glass' came out 2 days ago. And the very last scene has just clawed at me all night.

So let's talk it out. The news plays in a diner, saying that a man known to have DID, held 3 teenage girls hostage for some period of time. Two of the girls along with his psychiatrist were found dead on the scene, the man is missing, one survivor, ect. Ect.

And this woman somehow hears this and says "oh that reminds me of that wheelchair guy from a couple years back." ..... That wheelchair guy who killed hundreds of people using freak 'accidents' as his weapon.

This guy who murdered a staggering amount of people reminds you of a guy who held 3 girls hostage and killed two of them???

Or is it the fact that they named him that reminds you of him.

(also something that annoyed me, how convenient for the media to give him the same name he gives himself 'The Hoard')

But if it's the naming that somehow links them for you, then almost every single killer will make you think of another. The zodiac killer. Oh that reminds me of that guy in the wheelchair. Jack the ripper, that reminds me of that other guy, the one in the wheelchair.

I 100% understand why the plot needed this woman to say it; so that freaking Bruce Willis can dramatically say "Mr Glass" and take a long swig of his coffee. But jeeze Louise just... I just....I don't know...make the connection not so far fetched.

Avengers: Infinity War Theory

Ok so I have this theory of how part of Infinity War is going to play out: 

Thanos is going to steel the mind stone from Vision (cuz lets be real, we all knew he was going to die, I mean like how can it be a proper movie if he doesn’t get all the stones), Thanos then uses the mind stone to mess with peoples minds and imagine either their worst fears or hallucinate that everyone is dead and that they have already lost (because Mark Ruffalo accidentally said that everyone is going to die in the film so this would play out well) and hence Tony Stark sees Peter saying “I’m sorry” with a severe injury and basically dying (so this would fit into the scene released in the trailer and trailer transcript). Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch said that Spider-Man and Doctor Strange spend a lot of time together, and there was a released picture of some raw CGI of Doctor Strange flying towards Spider-Man with subtitles below that read “Peter! protect them. They’re not dead!” (so this solidifies my idea about the mind stone and making everyone think each other is dead) so this could be that Doctor Strange uses his astral projection to talk to Spider-Man and try and get inside his head to tell him that this is not real and that its just the mind stone. And so now Spider-Man and Doctor Strange can either go help everyone else see whats real or go and save the day or something. 

so yes, it is out there now. This is my theory.

Logan theory

[WARNING: HEAVY SPOILERS] Okay, so the whole plot of Logan was that wolvie had to bring Laura to safety in Eden. However, we have no idea what this Eden is. Why are they safe? Well, I feel like it's no other than our loveable Merc, Deadpool, behind it all. So, I believe that after the x-men had died and the mutants have been hunted, and getting shot in the head, Wade layed low and found out about the young mutants. So Deadpool, trying to save mutant-kind and keep the world better because of what cable has warned him about, created eden and comic books with his fourth wall powers on how to get to said eden. Who else knows what the x-men would look like in comic book form? No one. If I remember correctly, eden was in Canada, Wade's home country. So our loveable little Merc with a mouth, is trying to keep the world free from evil with the help of young mutants. Training them to be what the x-men were before the tragedy hit. I also feel like it makes sense since I heard Deadpool is going to be the face of the x-men movies now.
