How do studios take 300 million dollars and still make a garbage movie and fail to entertain? Are they laundering the money or something?

I think the movie studios give AI too much credit. Sure, we COULD do amazing things with it, but have they even TRIED using AI? AI generated music is bad, AI generated images always have some deformity (like 8 fingers on one hand, wonky eyes, etc), and AI generated writing can be repetitive and bad. I certainly hope to god I never see what AI generated cgi people look like. And it's going to be a very long time till AI is perfect, if we'll reach that at all.
Movie studios are fucking dumbasses if they think they could easily replace people.

Goncharov coming third in tumblr's top 100 movies of 2023 is so damn funny. Imagine being a film studio exec who spent millions making some of the other 97 movies listed below it only to be beaten by a film that cost exactly zero dollars to make and doesn't exist

I will turn to existing studios in the future because studios cost up to billions of dollars in construction, utilities, equipment, tools, salaries, production, marketing, and distribution.

BW's Saturday Article Link> The Future Of Lionsgate
BW's Saturday Article Link> The Future Of Lionsgate
Created in the 1990s, Lionsgate had the potential to be among the great studios of cinema. Now in the 2020s many of those great studios have fallen from grace, gone out of business, or were acquired by a formerly smaller company due to more misses than hits and a weakened economy. It’s not surprising that, according to this article, Lionsgate is among the studios in decline.
