Do you think SCU!Shadow would have a Walkman during his time on the ARK? Maybe Maria let him use her's and he would listen to all kinds of music they had available?

Yeah, I can see him having a Walkman. One of those classic-looking blue and grey Walkmans with those small, round orange headphones, kinda like this one:

Once Maria lets him use it, he is hooked onto it for as long as he could manage, which for him could be hours.

I can see sonic trying to approach with dialogue and sharing his own story with shadow, as if to empathise with him.

But Shadow doesn't care, and even sees incongruities and hypocrisy in his actions, judging Sonic's affection for Longclaw.

"You lost her and did nothing? Did just accept it? No, we're not the same"

Headcanon: Shadow is the only character in the Sonic canon who swears because Gerald Robotnik would often swear while working and things went wrong or whenever he got hurt when building something, so Shadow is essentially a toddler just repeating the bad words their parents say by accident

God I hope Shadow is this innocent and naïve at first that he'd be one to immediately start swearing when he hears someone else cursing

I think that it would be really cool if the third Sonic movie opened up on a younger version of Shadow and Maria looking out in the observation deck of the ARK. A younger Shadow points to Earth and makes a comment on how pretty it looks. And Maria, being the beacon of light that she is, talks about how Earth is a place full of enchanting wonders and opportunities for them both to explore… and that one day the two of them get to experience it together one day when she’s cured. There’s a conversation about hope and possibilities that the siblings could experience together on Earth. I want to see how their dreams of going to Earth blossom right then and there.

And then it should cut to Shadow waking up from his cryogenic stasis pod fifty years later with Agent Stone greeting him to Earth. It’s all a flashback that leads up to the beginning of the story…
