ARE YOU OVERCOMPLICATING WEIGHT LOSS? To lose weight, you need to be in a calorie deficit.. You don’t need an extreme training program.. You don’t need to revamp your entire way or eating.. You just need to be in a calorie deficit. If you don’t enjoy exercise or there are weeks where you can’t prioritise getting to the gym or your home HIIT sessions, focus on your Non Exercise Activity Thermogenesis (NEAT) activity, like the ones in the image above.. Long term weight loss isn’t about nuking your lifestyle with a hundred changes all at once, that’s a recipe for failure. Instead try some small and manageable ones.. For your diet, look at making small alterations. Switch from full sugar drinks to diet alternatives or make a more conscious effort to take a more supportive food choice at dinner time - the baked potato and salmon vs the Chinese takeaway for example🍜 To move more, add in the NEAT activities above. With all the misinformation out there, I get that weight loss can sound complicated, but it doesn’t have to be.
