Fall Fun

It’s Friday! Ohhh Yeah! And, what a week!!!! Well now that we are back into the groove of things at home. My week was extra special for me; I was able to spend some quality time volunteering my time @ Mountain Shadows Elementary. My baby‘s first year here!!!!!!!! We are -- new to the school, but – not the district! WE are a DVUSD family all the way!!!! This will be my 14th year as a proud parent!  We miss you Constitution Elementary. So as any parent can understand, changing schools means a lot and can affect our children in different ways.  Not, only that but it’s kinda like--- I started a new school. I mean I don’t know any of the parents, staff or students…… Which is why I signed up to volunteer with the PTSA and I’m CLASS MOM, yup I pretty much signed up for everything, at first I thought I bit off  little more than what I could chew,,,, but after spending time with the board members in the PTSA mama’s I have to say…. I feel right at HOME. I made four really cool parents, who surely care and admire their children as I do my own. Each day I learned something new from each of these PTSA mama’s, they are the best resource for the most trending info with school, all unique ad different in their own ways  skooled me on skinny!!! I just have to say I love volunteering and I think I’m hooked.  Our school is holding a fundraiser and they are giving out hippos as an incentive, these hippos got swag! I never heard of them until this week. But there cool and kids seem to love them.  The kids are the ones who motivate the parents to sell, so they can win these cool collector items and the prize or raising money for field trips, activities, and more for their school. The one thing that really got my attention is the need for Fundraisers and the awesome parent's who go out there and get those sales for their kids it’s really motivating. Well that was my week on that note, if you have the time to volunteer get out there and do it! You will love it too!!!! Or you might not, we are all different and that’s okay. But the cool thing is that you get to know your community!
