Back again with flower art.

I've decided to remake my old ones; with Lauriam and Strelitzia being the first two to get the make-over.

The backgrounds are the same from the Dark Road Flower Pieces, I just removed the middle bit- I'll be keeping this style as I really like it.

Comparison for anyone interested

Roses are associated with Marluxia- and with Lauriam to the extent that he wields the Devine Rose Keyblade. The sibling has each other's flowers; Lauriam has Birds of Paradise (Strelitzia) and Strelitzia has Mountain Laurels. Strelitzia has Snowdrops that represent Rebirth.

Description

Clio, the Greek muse of history, is the daughter of Zeus and Titaness Mnemosyne, the goddess of memory. Clio is depicted here writing and surrounded by objects associated with preserving the memory of historical figures and events: busts, reliefs, and sculptures. This painting belongs to a cycle of works commissioned by businessman François Boyer-Fonfréde for his home in Toulouse.

Despite its small size, Valley Falls State Park is a real treasure. Most people who visit the park come for the falls on the Tygart Valley River and completely ignore the beautiful trails. The Rhododendron and Glady Creek Trails wind through some lovely old cove forest anchored by impressive boulder fields smothered in moss. It has that LOTR thing going, especially along some of the more secluded sections of Glady Creek, culminating in an enchanting, multi-tiered waterfall draped in rhododendron. This time of the year, the mountain laurel (Kalmia latifolia) and ninebark (Physocarpus opulifolius) are in bloom (I can't decide which is lovelier) and the fungi and ferns dominate the forest floor, now that the canopy has closed over. The American royal fern (Osmunda spectabilis), which grows in the nooks and crannies of the giant boulders at the edge of the river, is a personal favorite of mine.

caitlyn's bouquet would be structured and elegant with cool tones of blue and white and purple (because obvi that's so cait core) but it wouldn't be OVERLY formal it would have a little touch of wildness cause we all KNOW she's not the golden girl she appears to be (she's literally canonically been sneaking girls into her room since she was a teen bee eff eff ARR)

flowers i'd include;

~ blue iris for justice ~ white gladiolus for strength of character and moral integrity ~ genetians for determination

~ lily of the valley for sincerity ~ queen anne's lace for refinement ~ bluebell for loyalty and devotion

~ purple heather for solitude ~ chamomile for poise ~ white camellia for deep emotional restraint

~ lavender for protection and hidden affection ~ foxglove for walking the line between tradition and defiance (usually for mischief but this works too) ~ edelweiss for courage

~ purple aster for dignity and wisdom ~ red pimpernel for change ~ blue delphinium for dignity and grace

~ blue snapdragon for strength ~ thistle for determination and fierce independence ~ glory of the snow for hope

~ mountain laurel for ambition and perseverance ~ honeysuckle for devotion to her personal code ~ white rose for reserved emotions and a heart that's much deeper than it appears
