Self-censorship does not a writer/artist/freethinker make. Write the dirty, ugly, scary, embarrassing, dangerous, stupid, confusing, awkward, controversial shit, and then change or get rid of it later if you must—but only if you must for the sake of the art.

It's such an amazing feeling when someone picks up on something in your writing that you 100% intended but didn't think people would notice. Like, YES!! My writing properly conveyed the thing it was supposed to!!! You are so awesome for noticing that!!! I am so awesome for writing that!!! I feel so good about my story now!!!!

I feel like I don’t hear that given enough as advice for writers block..just read? Watch tv? Movies? Find inspiration in media.

Writers block is a lack of inspiration, so go collect more.
