Happy Halloween, everyone!!! ^-^

In order to celebrate everyone’s favorite spooky holiday, I decided to make a post about Fortune & Eri’s first Halloween since I haven’t done anything Halloween-related for TABF.

Hope y’all enjoy it! ^^

As I’ve mentioned previously, Halloween isn’t as big a deal in Japan as it is in other countries. It’s mostly just celebrated via having parties.

That, combined with the fact that the students are all busy gettting ready for the Cultural Festival, meant that there really weren’t any big plans for Fortune & Eri’s first Halloween.

Thankfully, Nedzu came up with the idea of putting something together so the students at UA could dress up, play games, and receive free candy on campus. He claimed that it was a reward for all the students working hard for the Cultural Festival, but he also did it for Fortune & Eri’s sake since he wanted them to have fun on their first Halloween.

So, on Halloween night, the celebration begins and all the staff members are in charge of running things, meaning the kids don’t have to do anything but have fun.

Naturally, everyone is very excited about this, and many of the students are eager to dress up for the festivities.

Unsurprisingly, Midoriya is deeply considering dressing up as All Might like he always does. After hearing that, Fortune came up with the fun idea of dressing up as Nighteye, so the two could be a pair. Plus, she just thought it’d be funny and wanted to see how Nighteye would react.

What Fortune didn’t expect was for Eri to ask to be Nighteye too. Of course, Fortune was totally fine with this and made sure they had everything they needed so they could both be Nighteye.

The reason Eri asked to be Nighteye was strictly because that was who Fortune was dressing up as. Since this is only a few weeks after Eri moves into the dorm, she’s in the stage where she’s not super open about what she wants to do and what she likes/dislikes. She mostly just does whatever Fortune does cause that feels the most comfortable for her.

For future Halloweens, Eri would definitely branch out about costumes, so it’s just her first one that she wanted to be whatever Fortune was.

Unsurprisingly, a lot of people get a huge kick out of the Nighteye pair, Mirio especially. He takes so many pictures of them in their costumes and sends them all to the members of the Nighteye Agency.

Bubble Girl and Centipeder find it absolutely hilarious. Nighteye is honestly a little impressed by how well the costumes turned out since the girls really do resemble him.

So, Nighteye does pass along some praise for the girls’ costumes. Unfortunately, Midoriya in his All Might costume isn’t nearly as lucky lol

One of the many fun things the Halloween event has to offer is a costume contest that has several different prizes like “Best Overall Costume”, “Scariest Costume”, etc.

Fortune won the “Most Realistic Costume” because in addition to looking just like Nighteye she acted like him to a scarily accurate degree pretty much the whole night. She had people like All Might and Mirio impressed with her performance, the latter so much so that he was calling her Sir the whole night lol

So it only seemed right for Fortune to get that award. Meanwhile, Eri got the “Cutest Costume” award cause she really looked adorable in her suit and glasses. Although, to be fair, it’s not like anyone could compete with someone as cute as Eri no matter what she’s wearing lol

There was also some trick-or-treating where the kids could go to different booths manned by the staff to ask for candy. That was mostlyset up just for Eri, but a lot of the students ended up wanting to do it too lol Since she’s with Eri the whole time, Fortune naturally also gets to enjoy her first trick-or-treating experience.

If y’all are curious about Fortune’s thoughts on Halloween as far as the scary aspect is concerned, she can handle costumes until they get scarily realistic. That’s when she starts to get nervous, but what really will send her over the edge is when they jump out of hiding to scare her.

So, for the most part, she can handle Halloween costumes. She just can’t do things like haunted houses or anything that involves people trying to scare her.

Thankfully, UA focused more on the fun side of Halloween for this particular event than the scary side, so there wasn’t anything to worry about on Fortune’s end.

As a result, it was a very enjoyable first experience for Fortune and Eri. While Eri didn’t smile since this happened before the Cultural Festival, Fortune could tell that Eri had a lot of fun and was just as happy as she was.

BTS at Golden Disc Awards 2021

On the 9th and 10th of January 2021 BTS attended the Golden Disc Awards, and performed on the second day as well. Being there they won the Digital Bonsang for Dynamite on the 9th and the Bonsang, as well as the Album Daesang for Map of the Soul : 7, on the 10th. Amazing achievements which I sincerely congratulate them on.

When it comes to the performance, it was, most certainly, another amazing collection of stages bringing something new once more, even if they presented songs we’ve already seen at previous award shows this season. The opening came in form of Black Swan, though they didn’t sing any of it. It was more an intro showcasing the entrance of the members and highlighted Yoongi’s return to the stage, at least partially. 

The stage featured big metal winds, low lighting, and the members clad in black and white clothing including leather elbow length gloves for Namjoon and Yoongi, and pretty chockers for Taehyung and Jimin. The highlight though was Jungkook’s hair which isn’t dark anymore, but instead has been bleached and dyed a pretty blond. Personally I think it suits him pretty well.

Next up was ON, which was powerful and fierce, though still missing Yoongi, which is all too understandable. Even though he can stand on stage again and hold his mic in his left hand (his surgery was on the left shoulder), it will still be a while until he’ll be able to dance with the members. ON has certainly grown a lot on me and I enjoy their performances of it immensely, and it was much the case this time as well.

The transition from ON to Life Goes On came in form of the stage being made to look like their individual rooms from BE which appeared on the digital walls around them. Their clothes were mostly comfy, though Jimin’s resembled their outfits from all the way back during I NEED U/RUN era. The transition/VCR like moment ended with the instrumental to We Are Bulletproof : The Eternal and the stage looking much the way the MV did with the whale swimming around them in an ocean of shades of purple, blue and pink.

For Life Goes On they had miniature versions of some of their most iconic MV sets on pedestals. It was a really cute idea and I enjoyed the execution a lot. The members seemed relaxed and enjoying themselves, Jimin and Taehyung even having their little moment of looking at each other twice, these moments certainly having become something I always kind of look forward to when it comes to LGO stages. 

Another tiny Jimin and Taehyung detail was Jimin sending a brief, barely noticeable (by the viewer) finger heart which I hadn’t even noticed until my fourth rewatch. It definitely fits with all these other small gestures we’ve seen from these two in recent months, like the finger hearts and kissy faces during their Lotte Family Concert performance of Boy with Luv or hugging each other on day 1 and doing a fun handshake and dance on day 2 during Dionysus at the MOTS ON:E concert visible only on one of the side cameras, not the main one.

The grand finale was the Slow Jam remix of Dynamite which worked perfectly with the chill out lounge/bar atmosphere created on stage fitting with the Great Gatsby theme. The members wore mostly suits in white, blue in Namjoon’s case, and a bright yellow when it comes to Taehyung, as well as Hoseok who had a white button down which Tae did not. While a normal person would look ridiculous in it, Taehyung looked absolutely stunning and made it more than work. After so many energetic performances of Dynamite since its release, seeing such a calm version was really nice and refreshing, showing how versatile BTS and their music are, how they can captivate an audience with fast songs made for big choreographies and stage productions, but also these slow, more chill types of tracks. A marvelous idea, truly.

There was also an encore stage where they sang ON again but this time along with Yoongi on stage which had some hilarious moments, especially Namjoon and Seokjin being silly waving their arms around while kneeling opposite each other on stage during Jungkook’s bridge. Cute.

Afterward the members were at something like a red carpet after interview where they took pictures with their awards (Jungkook and Taehyung even making their Bonsang and Daesang awards kiss much the way film director Bong Joon Ho made his two Oscars kiss last year) and were asked to do a relay of saying something to each other.

J-hope to Jimin 

“I didn’t feel lonely in 2020 thanks to Jimin. Thank you for making me laugh. Give me happiness and laugh in 2021 as well.”  Jimin (turning to Namjoon): “It seems he can never live without me” 

Honestly the bond between Jimin and Hoseok is so cute and wonderful and you can see, and hear in their words, how important they are to each other, and how grateful Hobi is. We know the members were having a really hard time in 2020 so it doesn’t surprise me that Hobi would highlight the other members, or in this case Jimin, as one of the main reasons why he made it through it. After all we also know that those two made a song together which unfortunately didn’t make it onto BE. Hopefully we might get it one day at least as SoundCloud release, or perhaps on the next album instead.

Jimin to RM 

It was you who made us pull ourselves together to go through 2020. I am always grateful, and it’d be nice if you share you height a little with me in 2021, be healthy and happy. RM: Okay thank you

I love how Jimin used this (public) opportunity to tell/remind Namjoon of how important he was for them especially in 2020, as leader and surely also as friend, yet still also made a little joke to still keep the atmosphere light. After he was done speaking Jimin also hugged Namjoon, which showed once more how tiny he is in comparison.

RM to JK 

It’s finally today, Jungkook-si, in 10 years! You are Golden Maknae! The day that you will prove your nickname! You are proving it right now with your hair color, but in 2021, I hope the year will be filled with gold, like your nickname. Stay healthy. Let’s ‘Jje-kkit-up’ together this year too! (check it up.. the usual Namjoon saying lol)

It’s quite something to think about and realize, isn’t it, this year 10 years pass since Jungkook became a BigHit trainee and moved into their first dorm with Namjoon, Hoseok, Yoongi and Seokjin. I’m curious if Bangtan, as well as BigHit, have some kind of plan for JK specifically for this year that Namjoon chose to highlight his Golden Maknae nickname in such a way, or if it was more of a reminder to JK, that he’s so worthy despite how he doubts himself, and despite how he himself said he’s been going through tough times in 2020.

JK to V 

V hyung, when we were trainees we were getting along so well, (V: We are not now???) No!!! i didn’t mean it. You are becoming so much of an stand-up (reliable, I assume in this context) guy. Thank you for doing all the schedules with us.  jhope: who’s hyung here?

The bond these two share might just be one of the biggest mysteries and causes for conflicts and fights within the fandom, or particular parts of it. After their conversation In The SOOP, I’d like to believe they’ve figured out whatever issue might've arisen between them in the past, found a way to solve and move past it slowly, and rekindled their friendship once more. Seeing at how well they’ve been getting along (on camera) these past few months, I think it might've been so. It’s curious to me though that JK chose to say this instead of something more akin to what Jimin said to Namjoon, or Hoseok to Jimin.

V to Jin 

V: (turns to Jin)  Jin: This is too close V: I listened to Abyss and that makes my heart ache too... Jin: Thank you V: hyung, your song is so good. Make more songs in 2021, let Army and us listen to your song more. I absolutely adore the bond these two share and I love that Tae chose to say what he did. We know Seokjin has been going through a hard time in 2020, that he dealt with something I’d call imposter syndrome, so I’m glad we got to know even more about how Tae was there for him, something we otherwise would’ve never known. Certain people try to portray Tae as the one member that is almost estranged from his other members, who barely has anything to do with the group outside of schedules, and yet it’s moments like this--as well as Seokjin telling us in his birthday vlive that Tae organized for everyone including his non-BTS friends to send Seokjin birthday wishes in video form to show him how loved and appreciated he is--are the proof that those people are wrong. Tae is very close with his members, and he’s the ambassador of OT7 or nothing, the members his closest friends and brothers, his found and chosen family.

Jin to Suga 

Jin: Yoongi ya, do it well. Suga: Okay.... Jin: Do well on your rehab, and...uh... let’s do well going forward. Suga: Okay.. I will...

These two are so close yet due to their introverted nature their interactions such as this one are just so hilarious and adorable at the same time. Their dynamic is wonderful and this just seems like peak Yoongi-Jin behavior.

Suga to j-hope 

SG: (unable to look into hobi’s eyes) Our hobi JH: Suga! SG: You did work hard in 2020 (evading eye contact) JH: hahhahahah and? SG: Let’s not fall sick in 2021, and hwaiting...  JH: “Hwaiting hyung, and take good care of your health!”

The saga of Yoongi being unable to look Hoseok in the eye continues and it’s just as precious as ever. They stood so close, and while Yoongi wasn’t able to look into Hoseok’s eyes, it’s funny how he was the one who initiated the whole “them standing so close together” thing. I love the difference between how Seokjin didn’t even try to make eye-contact while Hoseok playfully challenged Yoongi and tried to coax him into it anyway knowing it’ll make Yoongi laugh and smile. It’s such a Yoongi-Hoseok thing, I love it.

Second, why still jikook shippers exist when jimin & jungkook was barely communicate. The fact, we can't ignore that, jimin & Jungkook avoid each other. Something between them was not good. I really miss their genuine interaction. Other hand Jk seems normal with other members. WHY?

There's literally 400 plus unanswered Asks in my inbox. If I answered one Ask each day it will still take like a whole year to clear my inbox and there will still be some unanswered Asks sitting in there.

Besides, I think I have answered this exact question? I have said I believe Jikook experienced a hiccup in their relationship between October and November last year post JM's birthday but I don't believe they broke up. Not sure how many times you want me to repeat that.

Most of the content with 'no interaction' and 'tension' between them were filmed around the same period within this timeline.

I will uploading a blog on that timeline soon. I have a rough draft of it sitting in my drafts somewhere. I've been answering a lot of Asks lately and I just haven't had time to write an actual blog post. Sigh.

Why Jikook Shippers still exist...

I ask myself this question every single day darling- why do people still ship Jikook when Jikook is more than a ship? They should be supporting them not just shipping them.

Also, I don't think real Jikook supporters support Jikook just because they interact. Those are the shippers. The trad shippers as I like to call them. I support Jikook because they are queer first and foremost and secondly because they are in love with eachother.

Just because they 'don't interact' in a moment, on camera, don't make them all of a sudden straight. It doesn't work like that.

Jimin is my bias and I know beyond a shadow of doubt he is queer. I love him more for it. I really love him more for it. You have no idea. I am not going to withdraw my support for him as an LGBTQ plus member in a conservative space just because he isn't interacting on camera with another member. That's just silly.

The love between them isn't going anywhere anytime soon. As long as they both want it and they both go out of their way to nurture it, it will always be there. I think that's what you should be paying attention to- whether or not they are nurturing their bond outside their interactions on camera during this period.

Because if they are not, then that's when they will become a real fanservice ship. No shade to a certain ship💀

JIMIN AND JK AVOID EACHOTHER. WHY?

Jokes aside, I see what you mean. But I keep saying Jikook are not broken up. It hasn't been smooth sailing all 7 years you know- ok take a few years. I don't think it will be either going forward either.

Jikook are not jikooking all the time. It's part of the contract they have with us. Lol. Sometimes it's because they are having relationships problems, other times it's their environment, a producer they ain't vibing with, bad hair day, the members getting on their nerves- a myriad of reasons Anon. A ton. I can only speculate. Could be anything from a break up to a lost change. Know what I mean?

They do have issues from time to time. They are human too. Sometimes they hide it behind smiles and perform knock off versions of their bond for us.

Other times they choose not to perform their bond, especially if whatever they are dealing with is serious- if it is, they set boundaries and respect eachother's boundaries to allow them to emotionally process and deal.

Most times too they push and poke at eachother's boundaries till the other cave. Especially if one of them feel whatever is getting in their way is a trivial issue.

During Jin's birthday VLive in December, they sounded a lot like they were enjoying eachother's company to me- apart from the part JM was throwing shade at us left right left, I didn't sense any tension between them then.

All we did was call you 'a liar' once and now you just keep rubbing your relationship in our face?😥 You really didn't have to tell us you were with Jungkook when Jin put you on speaker.😒 You really didn't. You knew he was putting you on speaker. Acting like Jin was bothering you or something. I see you. Smirk.

Their moments at GDA and the end of year award shows were equally telling of the state of their relationship.

In some content post Grammy you could see them hanging in the background playing games and what not.

Arriving together at KBS in the same car at 5am, leaving set together at 1am and heading lord knows where- cough, Itaewon.

Then this happened... was JK high? Chilee.

Like I know my bias is sexy and fine but JK you don't have to be scanning him like that😭

I've been saying, Jikook 'relax' in certain contents, act serious in others- as they should. They literally had the GMA performance before this shoot and people were screaming there was tension between them and what not and that JK seemed mad at Jimin. Mad bunny where?! Lmho.

The 'less open' one in that performance was JM not JK. To me. I felt he was putting up a tough exterior, acting like he don't kiss ass in that time period. Not sure if it was the haircut or his inner shadow hunter but something had shifted in him. Lol.

You could tell JK really wanted to show off their bond and chemistry in that event, and had perhaps wanted JM to engage like he'd done with him in previous performances?

But JM wasn't doing none of that for whatever reason- No, I don't think it was because he was mad at JK.

He just wasn't on his Jikook agenda.

They enjoy eachother and when they get lost in a moment it's usually for them not us. But they know and are well aware we like their bond and we love to see it. You'd often hear them, JM especially, ask the fans if they like certain moments especially after he's interacted with JK in a certain way or shared certain intimate details about their relationship with fans at fansigns.

They troll us, they tease us, they include us in certain moments- Jk deliberatly stealing JM's tear stained tissue( a reenactment of a popular Korean sitcom where a creepy ass lady stole her crushes used tissue to convey she adored him) him pointing at JM to indicate he desires JM, slowly taking off his shirt while holding JM's gaze, the you are me, I am you, what's tasty in Busan and all these other moments.

They each have their own Jikook agenda. But they are both not always in on it. Sometimes JM has no idea what JK is up to, other times it's JK who's clueless. Like the Holiday remix video where JK bolted after that intense fanservice moment with JM.

I don't think he knew JM was going to do what he did. It was shock and desire rolled into one for him. I just know it. Lmho.

As I said, the director probably had whispered something in JM's ear and had asked him to give them a moment.

JK was probably having wedding dreams flashbacks. His entire Itaewon gay future flashed before his eyes. I'm dead. Lmho.

Jk'd initiate in moments where JM wasn't initiating (during performances) and he'd bump shoulders or just shamelessly wrap his hands around Jimin and have a moment.

Same energy from JK different periods in the timeline- one before Grammy, one after.

May be you should be paying close attention to the things they do when they 'don't interact?' What they do when they do interact. Who initiates, whether the other reciprocates or not etc? The setting and environment equally counts as well.

Literally these two contents were filmed on the same day but half the fandom was screaming there was something off with Jikook in one just because Jikook didn't touch eachother.

JK was hesitating to initiate skinship with JM in one content, but didn't in the other- on the same day. What gives??

Contents filmed with Suga, Tae in dark hair, JM with an undercut were all filmed after 11th October and before 3rd November when Suga had his Surgery.

Content with JM in blue hair were filmed after 24th November.

JK's mood was pretty consistent to me till the pop up in late October, the holiday remix filmed after 3rd November but before Grammy, the Grammy reaction on 24th November and the recent run which was also filmed after Grammy where he seemed mostly closed off to JM's Jikook agenda- do you see what I mean when I say all those moments on 'tension' you and others mention were filmed within the same period?

Jimin's reaction has equally been consistent, going from putting up a tough exterior to being mellow and somewhat humbled or subdued.

Make of it what you will.

Not sure what you mean by genuine interactions. I think you have to embrace all aspects of them and their relationship. They have 'genuine' moments, they have fan service moments, they have good days, they have bad days. Sometimes they don't interact at all.

It's ok to miss them. But don't demand that they change or interact in a certain way to suit your shipping desires. That's dangerous.

They are human.

The Masked Singer Season 6 Episode 1 Recap: Group A Premiere Baby!! (Commentary & Guesses)

Hello everybody and welcome or welcome back to Ana's Masked Singer recap, where I, Ana, recap every single episode of The Masked Singer. The time we have been waiting for is here, the season 6 premiere (ooh that rhymes)! If you don't know how these recaps work, pretty much I talk about the reveals first (major spoiler alert by the way ⚠️) and then get into the remaining contestants, what I thought about their performances, guesses to who I think it could be with the clues to back it up the best I can. Anyways, having said that, let's get started with the 1st recap of season 6 (which is covering the Wednesday episode, Thursday's will be covered separately):

In this episode, Group A performed which consisted of Bull 🐂, Skunk 🦨, Octopus 🐙, Pufferfish 🐡, and Mother Nature 🌬 and 2 of them were eliminated, but only one was revealed this episode, damn cliffhangers, and that mask was:

Octopus 🐙

Performance Commentary: I was honestly so sad to see him go this early in the season, because I really enjoyed his performance of Tutti Frutti by Little Richard. He probably wasn't the most technical singer but for (spoiler) a non singer he did pretty great! I would buy his album.

Having said that, he was revealed to be:

*FIRST DRUMROLL OF THE SEASON PLEASE*

🏀Dwight Howard 🏀

Ok I kinda figured it out even though I don't know anything about the sports world... But he is one of the few names I do know in the NBA (my dad's a huge sports guy and I might have seen a meme of him falling so that too). Anyways, can I for one second, point out how tall this guy is?! He makes Nick Cannon look tiny…and Nick is 6 feet! It was so funny… I also was surprised at how funny he was… but yeah Clues, here are some you might have missed or gotten idk:

Survived a hard core fall= yup like he legit fell and hurt himself, which really hurt his game & probably his career

Gold phone= won the 2019-2020 championship with the Lakers

Magic playing card= eight seasons he played for Orlando Magic

Also, I gotta note that Ken got it right and is in the lead for the Golden Ear and that shocked me more.

Next, this mask was also eliminated, but wasn't revealed until episode 2, so I'm just gonna talk about the performance and that was:

Mother Nature 🌬

Performance Commentary: I'm not going to say I didn't see this coming, because her performance of I'm Coming Out by Diana Ross was the weakest one vocally of the night. However I still enjoyed her as a performer/entertainer and that costume is unreal like wow it reminds me of Te Fiti from Moana (look it up if you don’t know what I am talking about)

Anyways, let's get into the remaining 3 and my guesses for them *

*I just want to preface that I knew I wasn't going to have time to do this recap in between the 2 episodes, so I wrote my guess for this one mask down before they were revealed

1. Skunk 🦨

Performance Commentary: The beginning was super cool and so well staged, kudos to the producers on that one, but I was pretty underwhelmed with her performance of Diamonds by Sam Smith. Like, that's a great song, but I don't feel it suits her voice & range of what she's capable of doing. All in all, it was ok, nothing wowing about it, even though I do think her voice is very strong.

As for my guess, I think Shunk is:

Faith Evans

Ok, so this was a guess I got thanks to Twitter, voice matched it, and I am sold honestly… idk who Faith was until now, she was married to Notorious B.I.G, but that’s all I know. Anyways, let’s dive into those clues, shall we:

She was on a train to Seoul, South Korea= Soul Train! = she was honored with a lifetime achievement award in 2018 by Soul Train

Duality/yin and yang of the Skunk= she has a song that references Ying Yang in the lyrics called Goin’ Out

Her connection to Elvis= she devoted a song to her late husband Biggie called “The King & I” and Elvis is the king of rock and roll

2. Pufferfish 🐡

Performance Commentary: She sang Say So by Doja Cat, which I mostly know the entire song due to Tik Tok, so I hope people also use her version because it’s super solid. When I was watching at first, I was thrown off by the rapping, but now watching it back, I embraced it. It wasn’t the best rapping ever but it was dope ngl seeing a woman like that also kill a rap. I really enjoyed tbh more than I did the first time when I thought her voice wasn’t really at its full potential.

My guess for the Pufferfish is:

Toni Braxton

After voice matching Pufferfish with Toni, the voice is uncanny! But you need some clues baby boos so here we go:

Voice stands out, she was different, tried to blend in= no like seriously, because everyone knew it was her because Toni has a super distinct voice no one else has

Disco ball= home girl performed on season 7 of Dancing with the Stars, get it disco ball, mirror ball like the trophy they win

Guitarra= she has a hit song called Spanish Guitar, and guitar in Spanish is you guessed it Guitarra

3. Bull 🐂

Performance Commentary: He sang Drops of Jupiter by Train, and wow HE GOT VOCALS FOR DAYSSS (what he ain’t is shy so stop lying my guy). He is absolutely my favorite of the night, his voice is absolute butter, raspy butter… yes I did just say that but you know what I mean (if you don’t, it’s those nice raspy voices that are so smooth like butter). I'm pretty tired of the mindset some fans have to be honest... Like kpop is not that deep, and you can enjoy it the way you want, I mean, the main part of kpop is enjoying the music, the dancing, and the performances, of course there is also their contents but that's not the principal. And I feel like these days some fans are like obsessed with views, streaming, votes, of course I get it, they want their favs to succeed but for a competition like kingdom, I feel like the whole purpose is kinda broken by this mindset, you should vote for the performances you like the most not doing strategies so your ult will won, like of course I hope skz will win, but because their talents are recognised and the jury is fair ! Idk I'm a bit scared that in the eyes of people outside of the fandom, if skz do win, some will think they only did because stays are a big fandoms next to others participing in the show...I want them to be recognised by their hardwork, and I know skz are capable of winning because they produce greats musics in their own genre with beautiful choreographies and impressive perfomances. But honestly, while watching kingdom I'm mostly here to enjoy the greats perfomances from the differents groups and to see interactions between them and just seeing them having fun, if there were no winners, the show would be even better for me.

With this mindset of mass-streaming and mass-voting, I feel like a lot of kpop awards show at the end of the year have lost meaning, the mains prizes are always won by groups with massive fandoms and the jury doesn't seem to care about the quality, which is sad because big groups just get all the rewards while smaller groups sometimes produce better quality and deserve the prize. It's not a judgment of quality anymore but of popularity...

I'm also tired of fans pressuring other to stream and vote, like people have a life too, and not everybody have the time to do so or even want to do so, and when you say this, people come screaming at you for being a "fake fan". And it's the same if you share the smallest ounce of criticisms towards something they do. And I'm sorry but I also feel like some fans are completely disconnected, of course you can like your favs, but they should not forget that we only see what they want us to see and as much as you support them, you will never really know them and they don't know you, it's their job. And mostly they should never forget that kpop idols are humans beings not some kind of perfect plastic dolls, they don't owe you anything, they can make mistakes sometimes, and they have the right to have a life, please idols should be allowed to date in peace without crazy fans.

Like I'm a fan too, Stray Kids are my favourite group, I've been a stay since more than 2 years and a half, so of course I have attachment toward them and I wish them to succeed and be happy, but I can still be detached. Fandoms are not that deep you're just here to enjoy things.

The 10 Best Films of the 2010s

my 2019 pick has already changed since this published lol oh well! 

Compiling a list and picking just 10 films to represent the 2010s is extremely difficult if not nearly impossible — it's hard enough picking a handful of movies for lists that sum up a single year. Films change as the years pass; something you adored in 2011 may not hold up on a re-watch in 2019. Maybe that's because so much has changed in the world this decade, or you've experienced a personal philosophical shift, or a film is tied to a certain experience and emotion that has since soured. And, of course, the opposite can happen. A film you didn't respond to five years ago may have become a new favorite.

This list is a bit of a cheat — or a break — from the typical best films of the decade lists you may have seen online. It will have 10 films representing the best film from each year this decade (2010 through 2019). Though easier, making this list was still difficult mostly because there were so many brilliant and exciting films that were omitted (masterpieces like "Tree of Life" and "Gravity," for instance). Below, find the films that did make the cut and a brief blurb as to why they belong in the cinema hall of fame.

2010: "Black Swan," directed by Darren Aronofsky

Obsession and perfection are two ideas that were constantly explored this decade, thanks to the rise of social media. (There was even a horror movie released on Netflix this year called "The Perfection," starring Allison Williams.) In Darren Aronofsky's "Black Swan," a young ballet dancer named Nina Sayers (played by an outstanding Natalie Portman, who won the Best Actress Oscar for the role), slowly detaches from reality as she prepares for the lead role in a production of Tchaikovsky's "Swan Lake." The film's sound design is unlike any other film this decade. With each bone crack, nail clip, and flesh wound, Aronofsky makes "Black Swan" a social psycho drama melded with body horror, which also features a wild Winona Ryder performance.

2011: "Drive," directed by Nicolas Winding Refn

Nicolas Winding Refn's movies aren't for everyone but his neo-noir hyper-violent "Drive" is an undeniable classic and game-changer. Starring Ryan Gosling as an unnamed stunt driver and for-hire getaway driver, "Drive" sparked a sea change in cinema, spawning an aesthetic that featured synth-pop bangers (glittery songs by Chromatics and a pulsating score from Cliff Martinez) and neon lighting. "Drive" tells an age-old story in a new and fresh way that audiences hadn't seen before, going beyond its ultra-cool style, to show a classic L.A. noir tale of betrayal and heartache. NWR also uses Gosling in the best way; boiled down to a few emotions, putting the handsome Hollywood hunk in a twisted role you'd never expect. Oh and Carey Mulligan, Oscar Isaac, Bryan Cranston and Albert Brooks show up!

2012: "Spring Breakers," directed by Harmony Korine

"Spring Breakers" might be the best prank this decade. An arthouse film disguised as a sexy college romp, Harmony Korine's film features young college students — played here by Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Benson — desperate to venture from their Christian college and indulge their wild side during spring break in St. Petersburg, Fla. There, they meet Alien (James Franco), a local rapper and drug dealer who Korine uses to show the dark side of unbridled partying, sex and excessive drinking. Intense dubstep, closeups of fleshy bodies doused in alcohol and an iconic rendition of Britney Spears' "Everytime," "Spring Breakers" has gone on to become a twisted cautionary tale and also put the indie distributor A24 on the map.

2013: "Her," directed by Spike Jonez

If "Black Mirror" shows us the evils of technology, Spike Jonez's melancholic love story "Her" is the other side of the coin. It's a warm and strange film where Joaquin Phoenix delivers a breathtaking performance. As does Scarlett Johansson, who voices Samantha, an A.I. a la Siri but begins to form a romantic relationship with Phoenix's sad-sack Theodore. "Her" is more than a movie about technology; it's an emotional film about change, loss and what it means to be alive that is tucked inside a fully realized not-too-distant future L.A. with a brilliant aesthetic.

2014: "The Wind Rises," directed by Hayao Miyazaki

Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki has made some of the most successful and culturally significant films since the 80s, including "Spirited Away" and "My Neighbor Totoro." But his so-called last film "The Wind Rises" is an impeccable emotional epic based in realism that is a gut punch to the soul. It's a devastatingly beautiful movie that is half dreamlike and half haunting. It is undoubtedly the most moving film on this list.

2015: "It Follows," directed by David Robert Mitchell

If Nicolas Winding Refn's "Drive" started a new wave of cinema, David Robert Mitchell's retro throwback "It Follows" is the epitome of it. With a vibrating score from video game composer Disasterpeace, DRM's film winks at slasher films of the 80s, most notably "Nightmare on Elm Street," but dials the aesthetic up to an 11; it's got nothing on "Stranger Things." In this brooding film, a young woman named Jamie (a wonderful Maika Monroe) is cursed after she has sex with her boyfriend, who ties her to a chair and warns her he's passed "it" on to her. "It" is a sinister force that inches itself closer and closer to Jamie in an attempt to kill her. Many saw "It Follows" an allegory to HIV/AIDs or STIs and a commentary of female characters in 80s horror films. It's the film's open-endedness and reinvention of tropes embedded into American cinema that make "It Follows" one of the most thrilling and fascinating films of the decade.

2016: "La La Land," directed by Damien Chazelle

"La La Land" may forever be tied to one of the Academy Awards' biggest blunders in the institution's history, but Damien Chazelle's love letter to the Hollywood Musical is an impressive feat of filmmaking. A romantic saga with musical numbers that don't shy away from its influences (the MGM musical and the Technicolor delights of yesteryear), "La La Land" is an earnest if not corny film. But its Chazelle's impeccable craftsmanship that makes his movie soar while it tells a modern love story about when two figuring out if their passions are more important to them than a future together.

2017: "The Lost City of Z," directed by James Gray

James Gray's mind-blowing epic "The Lost City of Z" will go down as this decade's most under-appreciated film. Like many of the movies on this list, it is a film about obsession, perfection and family trauma. Based on a true story, "Lost City" follows British explorer Percy Fawcett (Charlie Hunnam) over several years on his plight to find an alleged hidden city deep in the Amazon jungles. There's a World War I sequence and Tom Holland shows up as Percy's son, who is eager to follow in his father's footsteps and head to South America with him. It's devastating and moving in that Gray way even though it is his first movie not set in New York. "Lost City" perfectly melds the personal with human history, resulting in a film that is technically impressive and emotionally shocking.

2018: "Hereditary," directed by Ari Aster

Somewhere in the late 2010s, the term "elevated horror" became part of Film Twitter's lexicon. It's used to described artful films that are grown from horror tropes, most notably "The Witch," "Get Out" and Ari Aster's masterpiece "Hereditary." And though it is definitely a scary movie, labeling it an "elevated horror" film or a horror film, in general, doesn't feel quite right. It's a family drama about trauma that is demented in the same kind of tone of an Edward Albee play. It's more visceral than the late playwright's work, to be sure, and at the center of "Hereditary" is a career-defining performance from Toni Collette. She plays Annie, a grieving mother who is haunted by deep loss and grapples with keeping her sanity and her family together. Aster's film explores family relations and how tragedy can infiltrate the cracks in relationships unlike any other movie this decade.

2019: "Parasite," directed by Bong Joon-ho

"Parasite" is the summation of Bong Joon-ho's work. The Korean filmmaker has long made movies about marginalized folks navigating their way through certain systems. Unlike some of his movies, "Parasite" is rooted in reality; there's no giant elephant-pig or mutated sea creature here. The evil lurking in "Parasite" is privilege and capitalism and if that's not the biggest theme of the late 2010s I'm not quite sure what is. The film is a genre-shifting story told by an expert, who has made a few near-perfect films ("Memories of Murder," "Mother"). When "Parasite" begins to unfold and show its cards, you know you're in the hands of a master and that it won't go off the rails. Here, Joon-ho successfully tells his story with effortless dynamic filmmaking and ease that is completely hypotonic and engaging while being unnervingly gripping and universal.

Could you tell us about the boy's parents a little?

yeah!!!

Patton’s mom is one of the heirs to the family business, and his other mom is a music professor (mostly flute performance but also music theory)! Pat has a really good relationship with both of them and the whole squad loves them, so his house is the usual hangout spot lol. But Pat’s moms are really supportive and patient - when it became clear in Pat’s late childhood that he didn’t really learn like other kids did, they made sure to talk to him and a psychologist about what kind of resources he needed, what methods work best for him, etc.  

Dee’s mom (Pat’s aunt) is also an heir to that family business, and his dad travels a lot for business. Dee does not have a good relationship with his parents and mostly just avoids them because they just argue whenever they’re in the same room. His mom kind of ignores him and his dad doesn’t really know or care how to connect with him, so long story short, Dee spends a lot of time at Patton’s house, and his aunts are more like a second pair of wayyy better parents to him.

Logan’s mom and dad are both professors at the same university Pat’s mom teaches at (his mom is a physics professor, dad is a linguistics professor) - Lo is a little closer to his dad than his mom, but only because his dad was unemployed for a while when Lo was growing up, so that’s who raised him more, but in recent years his relationship with his mom has gotten a lot better (though it was never bad by any means)! They’re very supportive and come to all of his academic team events and whatnot!

Virgil’s mom and dad are writers - mom’s a journalist, dad writes fiction - and they’ve always tried to be there for V as much as they could, especially because they had to move around a lot when he was little (and once again when Virgil was going into tenth grade). His mom is an award-winning journalist, and his dad is working on a novel that’s positively boppin. basically they’re very talented (and so is Virgil but i digress)

Roman and Remus dad is a director, and their mom is stay-at-home. their dad is really out of touch with them tbh - he doesn’t make it to any of their games or events or shows, couldn’t tell you their favorite colors, he’s missed their birthday parties a couple times, the works - and mom is very, very critical of them, because she’s convinced they have to uphold the family’s image, yknow? It’s more noticeable for Remus, because he’s pretty.... unconventional, so he clashes with his mom pretty much daily, but Roman tends to get the passive-aggressive comments and “I’m disappointed in you” speeches, which are less outwardly disapproving but boy do they take their toll. all in all Ro and Rem stick together more than they stick with their parents.

food cw // As the Culture Complex grows closer and closer to being finished and is slated for an opening in the first quarter of 2021, the focus has turned to the details of the new center. This month, an offer is extended to all idols under all three companies to submit a cafe menu item idea for a food item themed after them, their group, their company, or their career in general. A contest has also been opened for fans to submit ideas. Idols who submit their ideas and are chosen will get additional publicity through the items’ sale in the center’s cafe and will be awarded a set prize amount in money for their contribution and will earn a percentage of the profit from the menu item once the complex opens. (Menu item ideas should fit a cafe setting and not involve extensive preparation; things like non-alcoholic beverages, small personal desserts, sandwiches, etc.).

Before her comeback promotions come to an end, Dimensions has arranged for her to film a “Dance Training Video” of her newest single where she’ll teach key points of her dance to one of her managers and a member of Dimensions’ marketing department. After the end of her promotions, schedules fall off a lot and she’ll mostly be in for meetings here and there about potential end of the year activities and conversations about her direction in 2021.

DIMENSIONS SOLOIST 2

On November 15, he releases his latest single and begins music show promotions for it. For this round of promotions, management is mostly focused on recruiting new idol fans from music show promotions and reigniting the passion of existing fans by encouraging him to participate in fan outreach during the period such as VLives. He will also guest on two radio shows as general public outreach.

Dimensions has decided they’re starting to run thin on how much they can milk the success of “I” and her debut solo mini-album, which means they’ve made final decisions about her first solo comeback. She’ll be returning with a single with a different sound from her first release, while still keeping her within the ballad vein she’s successful with. The back half of this month, she’ll go into the studio to record the final vocals for the track.

The song receiving a moderate amount of attention, even if the opinion on the title track as a song itself was split, has confirmed another comeback for the group internally, although nothing has been officially decided or announced to the members yet. Instead, during the back half of the month, members are mostly encouraged to focus on individual activities as the year comes to an end.

Their comeback happens on November 17 and its success is apparent soon after release. It charts well, especially for a boy group, and the fan response is even more positive as fans express gratefulness MARS has returned to the dark concepts fans are particularly found of, and it doesn’t hurt their enthusiasm that his concept leans even more sexy than usual. It sends a clear message to Dimensions what fans want and the company attitude seems to be overall pleased with the results of the comeback. In addition to music show promotions, MARS will promote through radio shows and fan signs and they’ll even film a special Christmas dance practice for their latest title track which will be uploaded onto YouTube next month.

The end of Queendom leads directly into their comeback with their finale track and it’s very well-received. It’s by far the most popular single they’ve released this year and it becomes clear 7ROPHY has won by showing themselves as strong competitors on Queendom, even if they didn’t actually win the show. Dimensions hadn’t expected the single to do so well, so promotions are limited to music shows this time around, but a deadline is set for the end of the month for members to contribute to any songs that might be submitted for their next comeback, which Dimensions reports they’re planning for the first quarter of 2021.

UNITY

Unity finishes off their preparations for their late-month comeback earlier in November with the teaser photo shoot and music video filming.  They don’t get to see too much of the results of this comeback before the month ends, but even from the beginning of promotions, it earns them a place as Dimensions’ crown jewel with better chart results than ever before and an almost assured path to becoming a million seller between this repackage and the original album, placing them only behind the likes of Origin and Knight in physical sales and making them the first from their company’s history to achieve such a feat.

Lucid completes their Asia showcase tour at the beginning of the month, but Dimensions doesn’t have a break in the plans for them. They’ve been invited to perform on Immortal Songs 2 once again and will need to rehearse for that throughout the month. They’ve also been chosen to be turned into characters for the FPS game Sudden Attack due to their popularity with young men, and become ambassadors for the game in the process. Character models will be based off of existing photos of them but they will have to go into the studio to record voice-overs for their character models. If that isn’t enough, they’ll also be in the studio to record their next comeback this month. In a concept meeting earlier in the month, they’ll learn that this comeback is considered critical since they’ve now completed both the original “normal realm” school trilogy and the original “nightmare realm” nightmare trilogy. Officially, this comeback is considered to be a combination of both the regular and nightmare realms — a first for their lore — and the intention is to stay close to the successful sound of their “normal realm” concept with a slightly more girl crush lean, while the music video will involves themes of both realms.

It was a pretty laid back club, not like any of the modern ones, but one that reminded him of those cool gangster movies. It was all very Latin, something that he and the rest of Bangtan had come to appreciate a lot more these last years.

And maybe it was because he was a big fan of the entire Latin culture that he couldn’t keep his eyes off you, the singer of the club. Maybe it was because you were the perfect embodiment of everything he loved about Latin culture. The curves, the skin color, the voice, the movement of the hips, the eyes, the hair, the smile, the clothes and so much more..

Whatever it was, while the others were drinking, having fun and talking, he was looking at you all night long.

Something that didn’t go unnoticed by you, obviously.

Now Jeongguk was a big fan of you. Has been ever since the beginning of your career and had watched every single thing he could about you on YouTube.

Because Latin music was becoming so popular in South Korea, you were actually invited to one of their Award Shows to perform one of your new songs with an Idol.

Unfortunately, that idol wasn’t him, but at least he could finally watch a performance of yours live.

And even if he didn’t speak Spanish, he tried singing along (and tried actually means he did pretty good, since he has been listening to this song on repeat for the last weeks) and watched you sing and dance with a happy smile.

And when he ran into you backstage, Namjoon-hyung was kind enough to ask if you could take a picture with them, shoving Jeongguk straight next to you, so that he could put his arm around you.

Opinion no one asked for but giving it anyone. I found OUAT to be overacted in general. That's the genre I guess. Lana and Rebecca were top of that list. While I hated how they wrote her character, I think Ginnifer had the best acting chops. Sorry, Bobby. I don't equate big emotional displays with great acting. The best I've seen lately is Remi Malek in BR. The emotions he conveys with just his eyes (no eyebrow involved lol) is insanely talented. Never heard of him before the film.

It’s the genre, Nonny. It’s fairy tales and fantasy - and not dark fantasy or adult fantasy like LOTR or Game of Thrones, but light fantasy, meant to air on a Sunday night in the US, when networks traditionally expect families to be watching the show together. A lot of the actors would always say, “No, it’s not a kids show” when asked - and it’s not - but it’s meant to be family entertainment that is suitable for a family to watch together - which does include kids.

So it’s all a bit camp, a bit silly, a bit over-the-top. It’s meant to be.

And while that style of acting may not be to your liking, it takes skill to pull it off well - just as it takes skill to pull off ANY kind of acting well. And there are all kinds of acting, Nonny. It’s really not fair to compare the acting of someone in a big budget Hollywood blockbuster with the acting seen on a Sunday night family drama/fantasy on a basic network. They’re completely different beasts, and they require completely different skill sets.

And honestly, I would EXPECT an actor being paid the kind of bucks Rami Malek was paid, directed by the kind of big names he was directed by, in a film written and produced by major Hollywood players, a film submitted to the Academy and winning major awards, to be heads and tails above the level of acting seen on ANY basic network television show.

It’s like saying the band you saw last week in a sold out arena show put on so much better of a performance than the band you saw last week in your cousin’s garage. I mean... duh? I would HOPE that was the case. And saying such a thing to either compliment the big band or to dismiss the garage band would be... umm... ridiculous? Honestly, it would probably sound like a backhanded compliment to the famous band and like an idiotic observation to the garage band (”Oh, wow, our show that cost, like, $100 to put on, mostly ‘cos we bought a keg of beer and printed up some fliers, wasn’t as good as one that cost 5 million dollars to put on? AMAZING!” [nic cage “you don’t say”.jpg])

Anyway, I personally think most of the cast of Once are pretty talented. There’s some I think are more/less talented than others, and it remains to be seen which (if any) of them can (or do) make it beyond TV acting, but I wouldn’t say anyone on this show is bad at what they’re doing.

METAPOST- Why I Ship Namjin (or a long essay on Namjin to explain you why they are perfect)

I recently saw a post saying that we didn’t value the Namjin friendships/ bond/ relationship/ couple enough and as a big Namjin shipper I had to admit how much this post was legit. I have always loved to read essays on “Why I ship [insert the ship name]” and so I’ve decide that this time I will do one myself. 

I will regroup in one post how I percieve Namjoon and Seokjin as individuals but also how their two personnalities create a dynamic that I can support and love though the years. 

Before, I continue there is some disclaimers that I would like to mention :

1-English isn’t my mother language I will do my best to be as clear and correct as possible but I can’t promise that it will be perfect. (Sorry guys T^T)

2-This post DO NOT promote the Namjin ship above another one. I will never say that Namjin is the ultimate ship in BTS and that Namjoon or Jin can not be ship with others member. I am an OT7 before any other ship. This post is only written to explain WHY I ship more Namjin and WHY I love them.

3- This post will explain how I percieve Namjoon and Seokjin as individuals but like all of us I don’t know them personnally and my judgement can be totally false. If you disagree with me feel free to give me your point of view, I will gladly discuss it with you.

I - Who are they ?

                = Namjoon Kim- The Leader =

 The first thing that we can say for Namjoon is that he had gain a lot of maturity since is debut. We all know that Namjoon was first of all, an under ground rapper. A really good one, with an IQ of 148 (12 points less than Einstein). Our first perception of Namjoon would naturally be to describe him as a rapper genius with a manly attitude and a small amount of emotions. (Rapper and geniuses are mostly known to let shown less emotion, in their attitude, than the others).

   Then you began to know him a little more and you see him growing through the years as a leader but also as a person. From the young adult he was, searching himself as a rapper but also as an individual he began to become what we know nowdays. A person who can express himself trough music, who analyses the word around him with his intellectual, who put the other before his own needs and try to show you that « the rules » that everyone follows can be broken in order to become the person that you are really inside. His message would probably be: “Don’t stay in a box, be what you want to be, without limitations or boundaries.”

   However, don’t be fooled by the amazing person he is right know. At the debut of BTS Namjoon was trying so hard to fit in the box that we gave him : « the rapper-leader ». From his hairstyle to his sunglasses, from the way he was speaking to his interactions with Seokjin he was working so hard to be what others wanted him to be. To fit what the kpop industry was waiting from him (and from BTS as whole). 

   Namjoon needed to be strong (mentally and physically) just as any other  underground rapper needed to be. In the underground rap game envrionnement you need to hide all your weaknesses or they will be used against you. In the kpop industry the rules are the same. Namjoon couldn’t let his insecurites, his doubt or his weakness be shown on camera. He needed to be a strong, independent and perfect genius rapper with no"girly” emotions (like sadness).

All this personnally traits are not really what we know of him today are they ?

   In fact, through the years we have been able to see Namjoon being more and more aware of the person he wanted to be. He understand that he is a rapper, he knows that he is intelligent. However he also knows that he has his own insecurities, that the world around him scares him and that his mind always play with his darkest doubt. It’s like if he was constantly thinking too much. He can perform in front of millions of ARMY but then be scared that all of this is just a mere mirage and that tomorrow everything could crumble because of one mistake. (Maybe his?) His intelligence allows him to guide his bandmates through difficult times and to write amazing music but it also makes him aware of everything else... All the bad aspects and the little things that could cost them their popularity and their fans. And believe me, that scares him the shit out of him.

« To be honest we are the only ones that received an award at the show [BBMA] as a kpop group and I’m not saying we should boast but to be honest it is a huge success but because of that I keep wondering to what point, how far we need to go up (…) it makes me wonder how far we might fall down. » - Hesitation and fears.

Bonus : Namjoon is an intelligent person but he often let’s his first instinct express themself. He is an “emotive thinker” before being an “intellectual thinker”.

               = Seokjin Kim- The Eldest =

   I think that I could speak hours upon hours to make you understand how I percieve Namjoon’s personnality but for Seokjin… it’s even worst, I could speak about him for days. So I will do my best to not be too long on the subject of this world wide handsome man.

   Jin was shown from his debut as the visual model. And that was mostly what we where allowed to see of him. He didn’t get much line, his dancing skills were not perfect so he was put in the back and in the end of the day most people were praising him not for his voice’s skills but only for his « handsome face ». That’s mostly why, nowdays Seokjin always says that he is handsome. He say this in a way, almost in a moking way, to make you understand that he was only recognize for his physic instead of his intelligence, kindness or most importantly for his voice. Among years, he does not only began to strongly believe in the fact that he is handsome but he also use this as a way to protect himself from his own insecurities.

   Not to be recognize for your voice when you are a vocalist in one of the biggest kpop group is like when a woman is choosen for a job not for her intellictual skills but because « she is pretty ». Because despite the confindence that Seokjin show us 99% of the time I am actually the kind of fans that thinks that Jin is pretty insecure about his voice, his dance and his role in the group and that sometimes his own pretty face is more a burden than a real gift.

   This would explain a lot of things. Mostly why he had work so hard to become a better dancer, why he went into a war with Big Hit to be able to perform his own song Awake in wich he states : «Maybe I, I can never fly like those six petals out there, wings like other things are impossible » but also why he tries so hard to always stay with the maknae line of BTS, like if he want to assure himself that he can act for them like an older brother would do and be with them whenever they need it. Because if he can’t sing or dance well, the least he can do, would be to take care of his member right?

(But don’t get me wrong even if Seokjin has his own insecurites I am sure that sometime he looks at himself in the mirror and try to kiss his pretty face ahah!)

  On an other hand Jin, is also someone who will not be easly intimidated. I will show it to you in the pictures that will follow, but Jin is not the kind of person who is « to kind » (even if a lot of ARMY paint him that way in fanfiction). When he has to speak his mind or when other goes on his nerves he will not hesitate to let it know, even if it can be percieve as insensitive. He is this kind of person who can laugh and be all friendly-friendly but if you cross the line his smile will disapear and he will tell you « Fuck off I have better things to do». (That’s a metaphore Jin isn’t as straight foward as that but he is definetly not the « cute mommy » that 50% of the fandom see him as). In the end of the day he is a well balanced mix of “Fuck off” and “I need to tell you a dad joke” that allows him to be an eldest that other love and respect without being crushed down by the other big personnality in the group (aka Namjoon, Yoongi and Taehyung).

And this is probably why the dynamic between Seokjin and Namjoon is that respectful and understanding. Because even if Jin take care of other and is a bowl of positivity he doesn’t let the others take control upon him/bullying him. Or Namjoon, needs someone like that in his life. Someone who can be both gentle and straight forward when they need to speak their mind. 

Bonus : Seokjin is also the type of person to think on a more logical string, he can perfectly control his emotions thanks to his training as an actor. He rarely let his primary emotions to be shown on camera.

II - Their dynamic

                = The influence of Seokjin on Namjoon =

   Noooowww let’s finally talk about the influence that Namjoon and my baby Seokjin has on each other. Because, oh yeah baby they influence each other in soooo many ways and thanks to that they became the amazing people that they are now.

   In my opinion the influence that Seokjin have on Namjoon is easier to percieve than the other way around. In fact we often see, Namjoon saying how much Seokjin has grown upon him and how he allowed him to become a better person trough the years.

   Jin is someone who tries his best to see the positive aspect in everything in life (ctdl: Bon Voyage Season 2). Namjoon even, once said that he had never meet someone like Seokjin before and that he had a lot to learn from him.

   It is pretty understandable since they came from two different social environnement. I think that what Namjoon is trying to say is that when Seokjin face a problem he don’t think that « this is destiny » and that it can’t be resolved. At the contrary Seokjin tends to think that if you push yourself and work hard in the end of the day you will be able to achieve what you want. And even if it doesn’t work for you in the end, you still have to think of a positive way of this experience and see what you have learn about it. Because Seokjin is mostly a positive person.

   Seokjin had also work so hard to detach himself from his parents (with his dad being a CEO he could have choosen to take this at his own avantage) but instead he had work so hard even if he could have taken the easy way around.  Namjoon has meet for the first time a person who : is overly positive despite the bad moment that live can put you in and was a hard worker who believe in his own dreams even when his parents could have afford him « everything ». Pretty much all the contrary that Namjoon was ever confronted by.

   This two things were at first a wall in the Namjin relation ship. Namjoon and Seokjin weren’t as close in the early days and Namjoon even confess that at the begining of BTS he « couldn’t understand Seokjin ». Don’t be to harsh on him, you have to understand his way of thinking back then... Namjoon was coming from a modest family. He was an underground rapper facing with hardship and strong rappers personnalities. A bowls of positivity like Seokjin and with an « easy background family » well it was something that he had to see from a bad eye no ?

   Namjoon is a genius and every intelligent mind became curious when they are confronted at something they can’t understand. I think, that this why, Namjoon has slowly began to established a bond with our World Wide Handsome Man. 

                = The influence of Namjoon on Seokjin =

  Here is the hardest part for me, and sincerly if you want to add something to this part of my metapost feel free to do it because I’m pretty sure that I will miss some points here...

   In my opinion the influence that RM had on Jin was much more subbtle. The way that I see it, is that Namjoon has allow Jin to be more confident as whole. To gain confidence in the person he is, charismatic with his lame joke but also less aware of the « acting on camera ». I don’t know if it’s just me but I have the feeling that when RM is not near him, Jin put on his « actor personnality/ actor mask » and become what other people want him to be. But when Namjoon is here, Jin seems to be more confortable at being himself. I can be totally wrong but that’s how I see it.

   I also have the impression that when something goes wrong, when Jin is sad or too happy there is only Namjoon to make him able to change his instant emotions. Like if Namjoon was able to control his mind. 

   For exemple on the Namjoon’s Birthday log, RM is able to make Jin feel bad for not cooking him a meal. He is totally playing with him. But when you look at Jin you totally have the sensation that Jin is in fact feeling really bad for haven’t been able to cook for him. And then when Namjoon begins to sing his own birthday song Jin joins him forgetting his owns emtions. (-> Namjoon control Seokjin emotions (in a positive way of course)).

Namjoon has this kind of power where he helps Seokjin expressing who he really is and let him forget of the cameras.

               = Their relationship =

               Finally, we are getting at the most interesting part. The last part where I will talk about their relationship and why I can see them as a couple and not just as friends.

               We can say that Namjoon and Seokjin have learn along the years not only to respect themself (because they respect all the members equally) but to learn from each other constantly. They need each other support to go foward and to endorse the role of eldest/leader. Namjoon need the forwardness sincerity and positivity of Jin. When Seokjin needs the confidence and the analytic way of thinking of Namjoon. They push each other to be better dancer, to be better leader (Namjoon a better Leader for BTS and Jin a better hyung for the younger ones) and better people.

               Even when they disagree on things, they learn to speak their mind until their problem is solve. They never try to make the other one feels stupid and they listen to each other to make the group go foward. When the other members fight they try to soothe the tension between them.

               Do you remember when I was stating that Namjoon was the kind of person to let his emtions express themself first and at contrario Seokjin was the kind of person to hide his emotions and to think before letting them pop up ? Well this is mostly true for a lot of their interactions.

But there is some moments where my statement it totally false. 

Can you guess when ?

The answer is : when the stress is too high.

   If you see at every important award show, their personnalities switch. Just like if the « too much » stress was breaking their wall. 

   In these moment Namjoon is so stress that he tries to endorsed a role where he is confident in and that allows him to not show any weakness : the Leader of BTS; a rapper genius. On the other hand when the pressure becomes to high, Seokjin let his emotions shows without being able to restrain them. He let his tears fill his eyes and can’t control his facial expressions.

  This is so interesting because in these moment, where the stress hit the « Namjin Critical Point » they become essential for one and another. Jin become the anchor of Namjoon and Namjoon become the figure that Seokjin handle to. 

In this moments they need to stand next to each other, hold the hand of the other, look at the other or hug the other one with passion.

When Seokjin cry he let his own and Namjoon’s emotions flows. When Namjoon endorse his role as a leader he contain his and Seokjin’s strength.

The most beautiful thing in their relation ship is, in my opinion, too see how they both influence each other to become better people but also complimentary souls.

Namjoon lack of self confidence ? Jin is here.

Jin needs to show his emotions ? Namjoon will be strong for him.

Namjoon see to much negativty ? Jin will remind him of seeing the bright side of life.

Jin wants to train harder ? Namjoon will stay with him.

Are they a couple ? Probably not.

Do they have an unique relationship ? Hell yes.

Since I'm getting hang of tumblr feel like I should introduce myself.

I'm TeArra and the way to pronounce my name is just like the crown Tiara. I'm probably on the older end of Swfities and I'm 32 8 days shy from 33. I mean I'm sure there are others around my age but I feel on average it seems majority is younger haha.

I've grew up listening to all genres of music and one of my favorite things to do as my friends tease me is attend concerts and tapings. I got into enjoying Taylor Swift later in the game mostly by time Red came out. Even though I say I listen to lots of genres, at the time country music wasnt really one of them. But I had heard of Taylor even way back( like I saw her perform in award shows so I was familiar with songs from first album). As they would play some of her songs on other pop stations. One of the first songs I knew I loved a lot was Back to December. I just love the melody and everything. I would definitely turn it up and sing it when I heard it on the radio lol

By the time Red was out I was hearing a lot more about Taylor and soon came to love her stuff and finding myself a casual fan. During this era I got to see her perform at the 2012 VMAs she did WANGBT and after that I was like way impressed how fun and enjoyable the performance was.

Next by time 2013 came I found myself finally deciding to give country music a chance and I've became hooked. Its definitely one of my top genres I listen to now of course following year Taylor drops Shake it Off and says she's going to do a pop album. I'm like really? right as I'm loving country music haha. But I loved that song then 1989 came out and I found myself obsessed with that album played it daily and from there on was no turning back. Fact months before Shake it Off came out I got a email about a secret project and was contacted by phone to film myself dancing to a random song. I got home late from work that day so I didnt have time to film something good since I had maybe a hour or less to submit. Unfortunately I wasnt selected for the project which later would be the Shake it Off video. Womp womp lol

I knew once she toured again I had to finally check out a show. Luckily living in LA area I had 5 chances. I ended up getting tickets a few days before one of her LA shows I believe night 3? And scored 3rd row behind pit. I ended up going alone since I dont have many friends that like her enough to see her. Downside being in my 30s sometimes lol. But I was blown away from that tour and can't believe I had been missing all her tours before that.

Then reputation came out and I was like woah different but I loved it once again was in constant repeat mode still is today. I scrambled and racked up points to get tix then almost decided not to go once she announced was a stadium tour as I had just been through a tragic experience surviving the Route 91 festival in Vegas. I was scared to do outdoor venues again. But I decided that I had months to prepare and push my fears away and I'm glad I went. So far best show of the year for me. Wish I could go again. I ended up getting a extra ticket and gifting it to friend and she loved it so hopefully from here out I'll have at least 1 friend to go to Taylor shows with.

I doubt I'll ever meet her. I know there's thousand and thousands of fans who've been fans longer and have yet to have that moment and you all deserve it. For now I'll just keep cherishing all the moments she shares with us fans and dance and sing my heart out to her music.

Sorry this is long and if you read great. Hopefully I can meet new swiftie fans on here. Just reading all your posts you guys all seem like great people :)

Sports

Sports have always been an extremely important aspect of my life. I played hockey when I was 5 but quit after the season because I hated to sweat lol. In my younger days I played soccer, from the time I was 4 until grade 8. Grade 6 was when I really started to expand into a variety of activities. In grade 5 I played in a touch football league with kids grade 5-8 but I wasn’t that good.

In 6th grade I started playing football, hockey, basketball and doing track and field. My friends were all playing football with the River Riders so after a couple of games I decided to join. I was a wide receiver who didn’t do much at the time. I had one 40 yard touchdown that season off an end around sweep. I knew I was fast so it wasn’t surprising but I was raw. At the end of the season I asked the coach if I could play runningback the next season so I could be more involved, he laughed and said we’ll see.

My first year back in hockey was okay. I was also really raw in this but I was one of the better kids on the team just due to my speed. All the kids on the team wanted me to be captain after I gave a big speech when everyone was pissed in North Battleford but we didn’t ever end up giving out a C.

I was good at basketball again because I was fast but I got so many stupid fouls because I was over aggressive. I won the team MVP in grade 7 and played the same style being one of the better players in grade 8.

Track and field was the same old thing every year. I was just simply faster than everyone in elementary school. Everyone was always telling me that so and so was really fast and that I might not win against them, but that wasn’t the case. I never lost once, I never even had a close race. Grade’s 6-8 I won the city championship for every single sprinting event, and also got track and field MVP every year. 

Grade 7 football changed my life. I had done all my growing which meant I was 5′7″ absolutely dominating the football field. I put up 2 197 yards in just 8 games, an average of 275 yards per game. Along with that I scored 36 touchdowns if you count the meaningless playoff game we played, an average of 4 per game. In that last playoff game we were down by 5 with 1 play remaining and 2 yards to go, the play broke down completely and I ran to the left with basically the whole other team standing in front of me, so I sprinted to the right as fast as I could and dove into the corner of the end zone. We won the game, and so many teachers the next day came up to me and said they heard what had happened on the radio. I won team MVP of course.

Grade 7 hockey was okay. i was getting better but due to my birthday I was forced to play in a grade 8/9 league. This didn’t really matter. I led the team in scoring. 

I started snowboarding when I was 5 and got really into it in 5th grade when I joined a team of riders that was taught by the owner of Propaganda. In 7th grade I went to the mountains for the first time with tyson. In 11th grade I went back with Short. In 12th grade Josh asked me if i wanted to go but I didn’t think I could afford it because of S-Trip and university in the fall. 

Grade 8 football was finally my time to prove myself. Playing against kids older than me it was a question whether or not I would get to start. Those questions were silenced pretty fast as I continued to dominate. We had a really good team and made the top bowl for playoffs. I scored 19 touchdowns in our 8 games and again won team MVP. I also met Adam on this team and we turned into really great friends throughout the years. This was the first time i got to be a team captain for anything, I was the only grade 8 to get to be one. 

Grade 8 hockey was fun. I played on a travelling team in a higher league that would go on to dominate. First we won the lloydminster tournament before qualifying for the provincial tournament and ultimately crushing Regina in the provincial championship to be the champions. I had a lot of cool friends on this tea, including Ryan, who again I became great friends with and Short. I didn’t get too much playing time on this team but I gave it my all when I was out there and scored a decent amount of goals.

After grade 8 I made the U16 North Sask football team. We travelled to Winnipeg to play against the other provinces, I didn’t get much playing time though. 

I became really into biking in 6th grade as well but I didn’t really keep up with it into high school. 

Grade 9 football was really tough. Our team was terrible was didn’t even have 24 players most games, meaning someone had to play all game. We lost every single game except for one. I scored 11 touchdowns in 8 games, which was pretty disappointing for me. I cried with frustration more than once. At the end of the season I once again got the team MVP. 

In grade 9 I made the Junior A basketball team, it was pretty fun because we got to travel around for tournaments. I was in track and field too but once I realized I wasn’t the fastest person anymore I lost interest. I went to provincials and got 9th place. 

In grade 9 I played high school spring football with mostly grade 10s and 11s. I tried hard and did alright all season. At the end of the season Mr. Germs came up to me and told me he wanted me to be the starting running back of the senior team the next year.

10th grade football was alright. I played with an amazing QB named Bray, but he was extremely selfish and cared more for the glory. I was one of two grade 10′s to be on the senior football team, we were both starters. I captured the teams Rookie of the Year after putting up 628 yards and 3 touchdowns in 7 games. This season I had a huge performance in front of the whole city in the Canadian Tire Bowl against Carlton, I had 149 yards rushing and a touchdown in a 14-2 win. I should’ve had the other touchdown as well but Bray for some reason kept the ball on the 1 when he was supposed to hand it off. 

In grade 10 I was on the curling team which was actually pretty fun. I again made it to provincials for track but didn’t really care about it, I was just going for the weekend of fun. Grade 11 track and field was the exact same thing, I qualified for provincial’s but I knew i wasn’t going to win so I just went for fun. In grade 12 I qualified once again but i didn’t end up going because I wasn’t too sure if I could afford it. I made the senior A basketball team in grade 10 but I ended up quitting the team because I wanted to work more so I could buy myself a vehicle.

I played spring football after grade 10 as well but it was kind of a waste of time, nobody could stop me, every time I touched the ball I scored. It was normal for me to get 8 touchdowns in a game. 

Grade 11 football season was fun. Before our first game in Regina I was unexpectedly named team captain. I didn’t see it coming at all, I didn’t even think I was a candidate but I guess all the work I put in and the friendships I was making were evident to everyone else. I finished the season with over 800 yards and 10 touchdowns. Our team ended up losing in the Div 2 championship game. I thought I was bound to win the MVP award but I was super frustrated when the award ended up going to one of the offensive lineman on the team, I did end up winning the team leadership award.

Grade 11 I once again made the Senior A basketball team, I had bought myself a car the year before so I was good to go to play basketball 6 days a week and work on the 7th. I didn’t get that much playing time this year but I didn’t care we were dominating everyone we played against, only ended up losing two games all year. One in overtime in the GIT final and then a 5 point loss in the provincial final. I was always just happy to be there and got super hyped on the bench being whacky and dancing and cheering on the team. For my efforts I was given the spirit award at the end of the season awards.

In grade 11 I chose to once again return to playing hockey for one last year. I played in the North Valley league which meant a lot of travelling to small towns around Prince Albert. I was surprisingly really good this year, although I hadn’t played in so long, I was better than I had ever been before. I was also named an assistant captain on this team, I would’ve been captain had Connor Bear not been on the team but he was definitely deserving of the honour. After working my ass off all season I was awarded with the only trophy that they give out in the North Valley league, not quite a league MVP but given to someone who displays love for the game, is determined to succeed, is focussed and fearless and shows team leadership. It was really cool to be honoured for how hard I worked especially because it was the only award given out in the whole league and there were a lot of people worthy of winning it.

I didn’t want to play spring football in grade 11 because of how easy it was in grade 10 and I told the coaches that. So they ended up dividing the league in two based on skill level, the better kids played in one league while the worse ones played in another. This made it a lot more fun for me.

Grade 12 football was great. I was once again team captain and had some insane games. I finished the year just under 1000 yards (400 more than the second place person) and a league leading 10 touchdowns. The team got our revenge in the division 2 championship game, capping off a great career. 

Throughout grade 12 I was also driving down to Regina to practice with the Regina Thunder every second week. I was the first player invited to spring camp and had made the team at the very first practice, but I didn’t want to move to Regina and I knew that so it was really a waste of everyone’s time. Mr. Hundeby also got me a tryout with the University of Saskatchewan but I had given up on football already and just wanted to focus on school. Any other year I probably would’ve been on the U of S team but our graduation year they were switching head coaches after 40 years, so they only accepted 13 new players instead of the usual 40-50 they have every other year.

Grade 12 basketball we were pretty above average. A big step down from the prior year but we consistently got third place at every tournament. To my surprise I also got to be a team captain on this team, even though I really wasn't that good. 

Throughout university I participated in numerous recreational sports. In first year I played rec football, our team wasn’t too bad and I made some big plays once again. Second and third year I played rec hockey in the competitive league, a lot of former WHL and AAA guys play in this league so I’m typically one of the worst players but I still have fun. In third year I also played rec basketball which was pretty fun. I’ve been playing flag football in the league in Prince Albert for 3rd and 4th year which I just absolutely dominate week in and week out.
