Memes aside, as an American I’m crashing out so bad right now. The world can’t take 4 more years of that orange clown- I certainly can’t. If Harris loses, the Supreme Court will be fucked for maybe the rest of my life. I cannot imagine my country with a national abortion ban. The overturning of Roe has been devastating enough. I’m terrified Obergefell will be overturned, maybe even Loving. I hate that so many of our rights come from Supreme Court rulings. I hate the Electoral College. I think it’s supremely unfair that a handful of swing states decide the fate of our nation. I hate that I live in one of those states and still get couldn’t get my own brother to care enough to vote. I’m angry with Harris for supporting Israel but I can’t fathom how much worse shit will get under another Tr*mp presidency. I can’t believe that so many Americans support Trump and I TRULY don’t understand why so many Americans choose not to vote. Anyway. There’s nothing left to do but wait. I hope things get better from here on out.

as a moderate, it’s SO unsettling to see my closest irl friends (all liberal) all publicly and privately cheer on, meme, and call for tr*mp’s death/assassination. I’m used to tumblr doing it bc this is the “be nice to everyone unless I don’t like you then kys!!2!!2!2!2!2” website but like…. political extremism WILL and HAS gotten innocent people killed. it’s so scary to see how compassion and kindness have completely disappeared off the face of the earth. I'm praying for that too. It really bugs me how many people I'm already seeing either wishing Trump had died (mostly liberals) or celebrating the shooter's death and wishing he's in hell (mostly conservatives) while also being Christian. Like, I'M SORRY, I thought we were supposed to take Jesus seriously when he said "love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you". I just don't really see how this behavior is Christlike. And I'm already seeing conservatives blaming the entire Democrat party for this, which is just going to make the hate between the parties so much worse. They may be wrong, they may be arguably selfish, but there's a big difference between being fearful and maliciously wanting to cause harm. Not to say you should agree with them, but please keep in mind they are mostly ordinary people and not evil incarnate.

I think an argument can be made that more rabid Tr*mp supporters might be similar to fascists, but even still it's a symptom of the harm of propaganda and the cult-like mentality of American political parties.

Election's coming up! Time for some spellcasting!

Part 1

You'll need:

Scissors

Orange fabric or paper

Permanent marker

A pincushion

Step 1: Using the scissors, cut the shape of a turd out of the orange fabric. Please note that I have given him tiny hands.

Step 2: Write "Tr*mp votes" or something similar on the fabric with the permanent marker. (Keep in mind when personalizing this spell: The point is not for the turd to keel over and and then his running partner becomes president; the point is for him to not get enough votes to win the election. The humanoid shape here is mostly for funsies.)

Step 3: Pin.

Note: Don't forget to put a bunch of pins thru the balls. You can also do things like putting a pin thru each chakra, or naming each pin for a swing state.

Step 4: Pause for a few moments and enjoy the catharsis.

I think Imma let that percolate on my altar for a bit before I move on to Part 2.

the only thing I can say about lando right now is that, he needs to grow up, ofcourse he's a grown up physically but he needs to grow up mentally and needs to self reflect.

the people you surround yourself with are who you really are. those people reflect your own self. you enjoy their company because they're just like you! really shame on lando for stooping this low. he may be a talented driver like his peers but he's not a good person.

he's doing so well right now in f1, his side actions are going to ruin everything. I'm sure his pr team are informing him about his actions and people's reaction to them, he's getting hate for what he's showing to the public with his actions. yeah they're some people who hate him for doing well in f1 in recent times but that's not it. he's being hated more for his attitude, what he says (bullshit mostly whenever he opens his mouth), what he's doing outside f1 (relationship, engaging with problematic people, saying stuff about tr*mp etc etc) while knowing very very well that people are watching every move he's making and analysing them.

I only know of a truly shitty moment that I wasn't around for when Kelly's skirt flew up and he wouldn't delete the photo of it for ages. other stuff is just vague so maybe someone else has details? he posted pics of the Tr*mp visit and found out the logistics behind it but he's definitely slick about not taking sides or expressing an opinion if he thinks it might lose him followers.

since I've been in fandom it's more that he's a gossip fiend and won't mind being a bit shady for engagement - he'll also embellish stories at times to increase traffic. he tracks his numbers obsessively and like recently the total non-story of him thinking Carlos was the one to write the England/Spain score on Lando's sign but it turned out to be Caco and when Kym asked Lando if he'd retaliate he said no - and then like clockwork Kym showed up to photograph Lando nudging Carlos' car with his body the next day alsfgsjalfg. he used carland0 in the tags and text and video and made two whole posts and said it was the most engagement he'd gotten in weeks - so yea he's mostly just a PR hoe w boomery male attitudes. but can apparently be worse.

he latched onto Oscar early (I wanna say as soon as Oscar became Alpine reserve) and chats (occasionally) to Lily bc he always knows how they're traveling and if she's there or not. BUT ! they clearly have no idea about him outside of he's Aussie and is one of the well-known photographers so no one should assume they condone anything else about him or have even asked to be associated with him.
