i dont blatantly sys post often!!! im not super into syscourse, i am not always against non-traumagenic systems. it depends. but i am here to complain abt how fucked up it is that anti non traumagenic systems/people are called sysmeds. like. its a play on transmeds y'know? and the thing about transmeds is like. being trans isnt a disorder. this is because. gender is not real. its a thing we made up. cant be a disorder. nothings wrong with you. yknow?

but like. being a system is stressful if not inherently caused by or influenced by trauma!! like. i fucking love and adore my headmates and wouldnt give them up for the world but. its hard sometimes, yknow??? like. switching is hard sometimes, role switches and internal conflict and all this bullshit. we love each other but having like 200 ppl in one noggin is a Bad Time, especially when there can be like 15-25 people in the front room at a time, not to mention the dissociation. i cant remember friday. or thursday, or wednesday, or tuesday. i think i have a vague idea of what happened? but i just. its just not there. yknow? and yesterday and today- ive been fighting feeling utterly apathetic because the dissociations so bad. and that was all because someone yelled at me for a second and i shut down because i got triggered because hey! trauma! woo!

so yes. being a system is a problem. not for others around you! but for me and many others. and i dunno. i just like. i just really wish they wouldnt compare us to transmeds?? like systemhood IS medical. maybe you got some other shit going on like systemhood, and yeah, okay! sure! cool! whatever! i could care less. but if you dont have that trauma, that dissociation and struggle. i want a different space!!! than you!! bc that shit is fucking hard. and fuck it. if you dont struggle like that i dont want you to talk like you do. and if you do, and you still think youre non-traumagenic. okay. sure. whatever. i dont want you in my space either. denial is a bad look.

I was wondering if spirits lie to test you as an initiation or something. I will try to make this short so i’ll leave out some details even though might be important but I need help and want more people to read. Ik this is long but BEFORE YOU SKIP KNOW THAT I NEED YOU SO JUST SKIM THRU.

One day I was sitting on my laptop without any background in magick other than the youtube channel mind and magick and LoA. At that time i was at my lowest point in life and have released myself from religious beliefs being very disappointed kn how it repressed my emotions about sex etc... suddenly every hair on my body stands up from fear the room turn red (i dont remember if it was my minds eye or actually turned red) and on my left an entity made itself known as the devil. At that time i didnt know that satan, eblis and lucifer are different. So it just telepathically identified itself as the “devil”. Paralyzed from fear I couldn’t face it to see it. I knew back then from what my family told me that we have been cursed with black magick as we found sigils and voodoo bag things stuffed in our couch at home. Arabic djinn magick. But I didnt remember that during this. I was having a belief crisis because of religion and the abusive ways my parents raised me and i fought very heavily with them on the phone with pure rage and anger. The entity spoke telepathically not with words but with just “knowing”, you just know what it says without hearing words. It showed me being surrounded by women and drugs of my choice not sure tho about the next part—> being in a gang or a secret society also being a rapper. Which were things aside from being a gang member were all things i believed would make me really happy and didnt want much from life other than that. I asked...”you want my soul for that?” The entity said “No i want you to abandon your family and never speak to them again because they are Narcisists who just want you dependent/weak/fucked in general.” (Which is untrue but due to long isolation and negative thinking researching psychology: Trauma, personality disorders, repression etc... he framed it in a way which it all seemed true and clicked). I was going to take the offer 99.9% due to the shitty state i was in. I was even ready to sell my soul if it was the case just for some relief. He said “ God has always hated you, he wants you mentally ill, he made you date borderline women to crush your heart, he wrote down your life script from start to finish with nothing more than agony.” I suffered from depression like legit depression since i was a kid for no reason. “This depression god gave you will never go away. I can change all that and if you dont take my offer you will stay fucked for the rest of your life because you cant make it on your own”....Now I am a Leo sun sign, Rising and ascendant so pride and ego are my middle name. With my hands paralyzed with fear i managed to raise my left hand giving him the finger! I said “Can’t do it on my own? Watch me! Fuck you!” He said “you couldve just refused the offer but because you insulted my majesty watch whats going to happen to you.”

My best friend for 9 years who was my girl friend for a while said she went into a weird psychological state and married someone she knows only for 3 months while we were together. She was madly inlove with him then after the ceremony she realized she wasnt and that he doesnt either. I went into psychosis twice hospitalized.

Now the doctors call it psychosis but it was exactly what people called kundalini awakening as it was euphoric and I felt divine and saw that seperation was an illusion and I was getting downloads and when i went to take a walk And looked around and saw ads and technology I was like... this is the devil’s work. We are being hijacked psychologically to be a battery to the system we call society and goverment.... now spirits could talk to me through giving me thoughts but they were in my own voice. I didnt know that this is how it worked so djinn deceived me and fucked the whole experience up getting me arrested and put in the hospital for trespassing into a mall thinking i’ll meet my creator in an elevator like the song lyrics i was listening to said to me taking it as a “sign” to go into the building and that someone was waiting for me there... enlightenment or paychosis there were definitely some delusions. I also believed 100% this is a computer simulation that was created so that god(me) can be channeled through the technology spiritually and experience being a human. Anyways 2 years later i’m deep into magick but not much of practicing until recently because i want to break the curse mostly but i realized from reading that all the information i received in my so called psychosis were all in occult books and things secret societies have kept secret. During my paychosis i was guided by angels and lucifer the whole time. It took me time to trust lucifer because i thought that lucifer is the devil and shouldnt be trusted. He never lies tho. He even felt bad for me because i was in the hospital against my will. So hes like... want some fresh air? Im like please. He said let me possess you. I was like fuck it. And he was just manipulating reality and ppls actions im ways i was able to go through 2 security doors and eacape the hospital at 11:00 pm when all the doors were completely locked! So i believe its not mental illness and it was scary yes. Fucked up my life for years yes. But i feel that shit wasnt punishment... it was the best gift I ever received. Now i enter altered states easily. I read tarot like im the fucking god oracle. I do magick that works. I became a god.

Disclosure and further awakenings

I have written in one of my blog post lately, that around 2 years ago I received a glimpse about an alien contact, disclosure, anything like that to happen between December 9th-24th, 2017, that it will be a preparation for a real contact with aliens, with beings from other dimension, whether energetically or physically. And so it has begun :)

This is the news on CNN today, not that this is the best media, since they cause bad blood very often but it has been said that major media will post news about aliens when the time is right. Pentagon had that ‘threat searching’ program they abandoned in 2012. How meaningful about the date. This means that somebody in Pentagon must have gotten a channeling that they should stop assuming that aliens would be a danger but rather wanted allies to let us fight against all those ‘archons’ here on Earth, and above. That they needed to let go and let the outside help in. This is also no coincidence that the newest Star Wars premiere happens this season ;)

This also means that soon I’ll be allowed to fully tell the real story of Draconians (pieces of the story I’ve received so far from my higher self, which match together well and these will be from the very source as I’m a Draco-human) because there will be more understanding about who we are and why we happened to be in this solar system. Not for bad reasons at all, but just like between humans, there are good and bad guys, those who turn to greed & control instead of staying on the original path, and those who keep supporting love and spiritual progression. I’m still awaiting that inner impulse of ���sit down and write’. We, true Dracos, dragons and seraphim basically remained hidden and quiet during centuries to let liars talk and threaten people against us, to then let the people awaken on their own and see through illusions, to discover the truth and chase the liars away ;]

My twin cut any contact with me which is not unusual but this year has been just horrible in terms of our lack of verbal communication. It’s all him, I’ve  reached out on countless occasions. I feel him and I know that he began feeling me more and more which may come as a shock for him, yet a confirmation that we share the same spirit. Merging in spirit continues, we bring each other amazing harmony and love at times. I had to let go of trying to compare it to a rough reality. There are 2 realities which are merging and helping us live in one, the better only. I had the most meaningful experience lately on 12/17 which felt as if 2 grids in your spirits and bodies matched perfectly, so called blueprints of us two. It felt like there were grids on our chests and in bodies and all of ‘eyes’ of that grid matched perfectly with the other, like numbers 1 with 1, 2 with 2, 3 with 3 etc.

Is my twin awakened yet? I don’t know, due to lack of communication. I’ve done my job, researched, understood who I am, accepted that I’m very powerful and I know the real truth different to that it is shown on Earth which definitely involves religions. I don’t see the entire picture yet but there’s definitely more to come which will be just a pure relief for the brain mostly because it will no more have to ignore, deny or search for ‘facts’ it hadn’t been taught on Earth. My higher self told me to be quiet now, because it’s his time to awaken further, to have his realizations, to research, to verify within that what I shared with him during the last 4 years - discoveries I was receiving via own channelings about myself and us. I’m now a living confirmation of all he could receive, and as a forerunner, I can be also a guide for him, if he asks. But it seems once we meet in person again, who knows when, maybe in 2018, we’ll be fully synchronized, energy, light bodies and knowledge. There’s no such a thing that one can be denying and rejecting truths which are bombarding them. If you came here and forgot who you are, then you will be recalled and you need to accept it as there comes a liberation thanks to this knowledge, a former charisma, skills, inner power and self-esteem will be retrieved to stay.

This time now is the beginning of a quick yet fast awakening of these who are only facts-orientated, who only listen to ‘specialists’, to the people with scientific degrees, to what is written in serious books published by serious publishers and also what is on the TV too - the last wave of people who are not spiritually orientated yet whose souls are ready to switch from the brain/ego to the heart/spirit. Year 2018 will be for them to wake up and understand while we, so far awakened angelics will be benefiting from our hard work, in any way possible. If you were pulled to do something which your heart enjoys, it’ll continue with fascinating effects, and you will be guided further, by your Self. Our higher original versions are entering our Earthy copies to replace them further. Often you will discover that you feel like being steered from inside, that something moves your hands, legs, makes decisions for you, that your human, fear or ego driven willpower will be ‘turned off’ and at certain times the angelic/higher you inside of you will take the lead. It’s very useful to help deal with problems we thought were lost. We still can win. I find such events fascinating. We should not fight with it, because these ‘original versions’ entering us, they are most advanced us, they spread within us, from the hearts outside. They know us, they have been observing us all the time since we were born from the Light, they are our good twins as in number 11. In a twin flame relationships, 11:11 means that we come as 4 folks together, 2 of me and 2 of the twin. They love us and they arrive with certain goals to make us do next, which goals we’ll love because they fit into what we like doing, into our dreams, favourite activities, passions, and desires. If the topic of love was your all-time direction, to give love, to be in love, to open hearts, to transmute/merge masculine and feminine through love and sexuality, to make people happy, to be with that One and only man/woman, then I feel there won’t be any replacement. You’ve been doing what you were guided to do, unless you keep sabotaging yourself against your happiness. This means there’s a negative energy attached to you, a distortion which has to be removed, and which will eliminated thanks to the ascension. These energies won’t survive in high vibration which our bodies pick up (through plasma bodies’ liberation and expansion) but it’s also your job to 'scan’ yourself, find the leeches and order them to go to hell, alone. Be guided by your heart, not the ego.

I had experienced at least 2-3 shifts this month so far, which were related to changing dimensions and the plasma body further stretching and liberation. Moments of huge inner acceleration, high vibration, rods of light drilling though me, inner explosions from the solar plexus and heart into the root chakra etc etc etc. My eyes lately felt like crying, and some layer in me felt like melting, but I’m physically and mentally OK. I’m prompted to drink a lot of water and also eat chocolate or magnesium & potassium supplements once a day to help the heart and nerves cope with the structural upgrades. I sleep with minerals/gemstones and I walk in the nature to let the Earth take & disintegrate all those ‘toxins’ from me which were created by all those energetic transmutations. Everybody have their own symptoms depending on what the light body dies within.

I also had very clear, spiritual visits from the two men from my life with whom a spiritual connection was instant. One died in 1999 so I only meet him in dreams occasionally. He was 16 y.o. when I was in love with him back then and 22 y.o. when he died in a car crash. Lately however, thanks to dimensions merging, we have gotten into what I’d call a ‘union’, an agreement that he loves me and I love him, that it was expressed openly in the dream, and obviously had no effect on me and the twin relationship. It was my personal experience to let my soul recollect the energy which was mine and which I gave the other guy in a college. For him it was to express his old love to me. I knew if he survived and he would be in his 40s now, we would meet and he would not hide his feelings or attraction to me, but it would be too late because I’m reserved for my twin.

The other whom I’ve strongly felt lately was a one time lover who I had met way before I met my twin. Me and that guy, had an amazing one-night sexual release and healing in 2002 and we also talked about stars, the Big Dipper specifically. He was 4 years younger than me, so as old as my twin, completely not into spirituality at the time, yet  he liked surrounding himself with incense sticks, blue color, candles, fire, wood and plants, mostly thanks to his mother. Once I came into his house, I felt like ‘at home’ which was very weird as I never feel good at anybody’s apartment. But the energy there was harmonious, healing so I assume it was his mother who was some kind of angelic, yet I never met her. I can now ‘call’ out his energy and he becomes aware, he listens. So I assume something must have happened to him these days, most probably he had an awakening, his soul started communicating with all those beings he had met and verifying who was most important, and at the same time, he was ‘informed’ who I am (not as a human but deeper) and perhaps we may come from the same group of Dracos considering our sexual skills. We never met later after 2002 and I’m OK with bridges burnt as I don’t want to be tempted, yet we were completely different humans, with different lifestyles and interests so this chapter had been closed forever just right after it began. It was just very surprising to feel the guy again so directly around me after so many years passed by. This means that their divine masculine energies found me to give me back that what belonged to me, the fire, interest, healing, sexuality, parts of my original energy. If energy of men/women from your past appear again in your energy field and act as if accompanying you, it may mean the same - they came back to return what was once yours. Your gifts are being returned to help you feel more powerful within once your plasma body expands so that you no more stretch yourself emotionally between past boyfriends/lovers even if you moved on and forgot about the guys a long time ago.

The most important thing is to know that your soul/spirit had received all possible orders and directions way before you incarnated in this lifetime, and is aware of the timing like a good soldier to apply to orders when they are shouted. So you don’t have to work hard on yourself, meditate etc. Listen to your body and the higher self only, they will tell you what you need to do. Such an inner advice is always free, you don’t have to pay anybody to guide/heal you, unless you want it and can afford. I’ve never paid for any spiritual healing, any coaching, any reiki, because I have this knowledge on my own and I let it guide me. I’ve been always led by my Self and it’s only my impatience (the fire element) to accelerate things unnecessarily, yet when they finally happen, it’s always a relief and the inner yell ‘I knew I was doing it right!’ :)

I’ve been seeing 11:11 frequently lately, as much as my birth date and number 33 as well (my birth number). I had an outburst of inner power, and meaningful dreams and I wrote a few messages to my twin that I knew I’d been here to guide and protect him as I am the spiritually stronger of us two to take on discovering and awakening first. It’s the feminine who liberates the two twins (in this life time, I’m a former masculine energy who is a feminine in this life, might have happened I was also a female warrior before, a muscular type) Females are those strongest who have proven themselves, who have chosen true love (not suffering, slavery or delusions) as the only solution.

It’s not a coincidence that this female warrior/savior theme is being brought to the masses via movies these days. Main characters in the sequels of movies like Mad Max, Dr Who, Star Wars are females! This is a message to all masculine to tell them they have to listen to us (and their inner divine feminine part of the energy, we’re always 2 in one) because we, females are the liberators. We’ve sacrificed a lot and it’s time for a lasting reward. We have liberated ourselves from the mental programming faster, and we can bring the same healing to the men (because often they do not have the crown & heart channels open enough) through love because we can do it only via hearts, not brains. Yet we need men as much as they need us to become One again, to retrieve the whole original harmonious aspect of the angelic being, the two in one, acting as one. On thing to mention - the law of non-interference! This sucks, but we, human angelics are bound with this law as much as many aliens races and even our galactic families out there. We can be equipped with all kinds of solutions, tools and sneaky ways of delivering knowledge, but it’s the masculine who needs to want to open and be healed, as much as we need to open to be transmuted by the Light. Nothing can be forced out or accelerated, thus if you feel the Light works too hard on you, request it stops and returns when you are able to take it in again. It will be probing continuous, so you won’t miss it ;)

More and more of us will be convinced that we are forerunners and all we have endured so far was a smartest choice, that our souls have chosen to do it earlier than others. We’re special. As much as our progress had been observed, we’ll be watching others awakening these days but we will have our personal goals to continue with, as brought by our higher selves.

The movies I listed above resonate with certain groups of people - Mad Max with those of you, who like me came across a global catastrophe, most possibly on Mars but could be also on a parallel Earth or elsewhere in another galaxy. I don’t resonate with Atlantis, Lemuria etc, not my past. The main theme of the movie is a survival, by being smart, courageous, to fight, to win, to kill the enemy. Then Dr Who would be for, I’d say - magicians, empaths, time travellers, good spirits who wish to remove mistakes and change realities for the better, by making sudden interventions. Finally, Star Wars - a topic of a universal duality which causes damages, wars, a fight for control, good against evil, rebels and attackers. It’s for all of us who had fought in galactic battles, specifically during Orion Wars, for Sirius, for Betelgeuse, for Vega/Lyra, because the ‘above’ is reflected ‘below’ - the witch hunt, Crusades, an unfortunate colonization of Africa and Australia by white people, WWI, WWII, wars in Middle East, in Ukraine, Germany, holocaust camps in Poland, slavery in Egypt, abuses in Africa, Japanese kamikaze, nuclear bombs, these are only a few reflections of the ‘above’, the very old galactic issues. These have one source of war, the cult of blood, the destruction of the human DNA and a distortion of the connection humans have with other dimensions, beings, where they could get help and wisdom from. There is this ancient saying - ‘all roads lead to Rome’. Not necessarily for trading purposes. The destruction of humans is linked to the Vatican here on Earth (there’s a mirrored place in the galaxy too) but we’ll get to this when the time is right. Religion along with the politics, and money tame our original power, creativity, unity with the Universe and the truth about everything, a wisdom. Star Wars is another mass-wake up call for those who have an inner conviction (often supported by visions, dreams or DNA/astral memories) of being as old as the galaxy, working as a former space ship commander, navigator, mechanic, space inventor, galactic negotiator, space clipper pilot, who enjoys the speed of flying, who is familiar with the most extreme sensations like coming through a black hole, being disintegrated, exploded, but also who remember seeing planet-size spaceships. It’s for all those who have been fighting for the harmony, wisdom, truth and balance, who know about the problem of duality, who fight against cold-blooded behaviors, and manipulation - the light warriors, galactic warriors, those connected and aware of alien races, Sirians, Arcturians, Draconians, Pleiadians, Lyrans, but also Archons, etc.

If you’re a feminine, no matter of your actual sex, feel being an admired, respected, desired goddess again specially in the end of this year. This is the time for self-love, so much deserved as the self-esteem heals. This pulls not only the love of the twin, whether in spirit only or in person, but also financial opportunities related to what you have been doing so far, as I have experienced.

Update: I forgot to add that I had a meaningful dream about seeing an alien spacecraft and a message transmitted from it. That dream was on on the night of 12/12 and 12/13/2017. I dreamt of walking in some small, old English city. I was a tourist there. It was the day when I was to leave and I was with the twin in the city but he was somewhere else, busy with things so I was walking to learn about the area a little bit before we leave for good. On my way back to what was some rented apartment, I found myself in a street surrounded by old townhouses. There were a few young people standing and talking. Then I saw that the sky was filled with a fleet of small, 50-100 cm long ‘spaceships’ with lights, I saw no details however. They were flying above the street and houses in one direction. Then from what I thought was a big cloud high above the city, I noticed a part of a big mother-ship materializing. It was that saucer-like aircraft, very pro looking, with white and dark blue parts and a ball-like ‘viewing platform’ attach to one of the sides of the ship. It was really huge but I could see only like 1/4th of the entire aircraft, the rest was covered with clouds. I had dreamt of aliens before and here I got the same kind of telepathic message this time too - ‘Hello, we are on your side. We’re watching, monitoring, we know what’s going on. We are here.’ It felt like they knew what to do but they could take action only if things get out of control on the Earth or were waiting for an order from their main base. If there are positive aliens around, the telepathic message will have a frequency of peace and you will feel it. This is how they’ll communicate with us first, no words but harmonious frequencies sent telepathically, from the heart to heart, to not trigger the brain regardless what it sees and what it thinks. That’s why mastering the heart communication is crucial not only iwth the twin flame, but the rest of beings, and yet it’s the easiest thing to do because all humans were born with it. Human language, the verbal one is an official replacement for the heart communication.

Domestication and the Dream of the Planet:

You dream when you are sleeping, you dream when you are awake in fact you are dreaming right now. Dream of the planet is a collective dream of small, personal individual dreams. The dream of the planet includes all of society’s rules, its beliefs, its laws, its religions, etc.

The people before you taught you how to dream the way society dreams. The outside dream used Mom and Dad, the schools, and religion to teach you how to dream.

It was all there already, all that knowledge, all those rules, and concepts about how to behave in the world. You never had the opportunity to choose what to believe or what not to believe. You didn’t even choose our own name.

You just agreed or disagreed with whatever information passed from the dream of the planet via other humans and stored it as agreements. If you agree, you believe it and soon you have faith in it. That’s how children learn, they believe everything adult says.

You may have rebelled against those beliefs, but you were not strong enough to win the rebellion. The result is you surrender to the beliefs with your agreement. This is called Domestication.

You are domesticated the same way we domesticate a dog, with a system of punishment and rewards. You became afraid of being punished and also afraid of not receiving the reward.

Reward feels good, and You keep doing what others want you to do in order to get the reward. You become a copy of Mamma’s beliefs, Daddy’s beliefs, society’s beliefs, and religion’s beliefs. Domestication is so strong that at a certain point you became your own domesticator.

The belief system is like a Book of Law that rules your mind. You base all of your judgments according to the Book of Law. There are parts of us, the inner Judge who judge everything we do and don’t do, and the victim who always self-pity. And this is all based on a belief system that we never chose to believe.

You need a great deal of courage to challenge your own beliefs. Ninety-five percent of the beliefs you have stored in our minds are nothing but lies, and you suffer because you believe all these lies.

Just being yourself is the biggest fear you have. You have learned to live your life trying to satisfy other people’s demands. You punish yourself endlessly for not being what you believe you should be.

You have made thousands of agreements with others, but most important agreements are which you’ll make with yourself.

In these agreements you say, “This is what I am. This is what I believe. I can do certain things, and some things I cannot do. This is reality, that is fantasy; this is possible, that is impossible.”

1st Agreement; Be Impeccable With Your Word:

I know it sounds very simple but it’s very powerful. Sometimes words are more powerful than weapons. Words are the most powerful tool you have.

Your dreams, beliefs, feelings all are expressed through words. But just like a two-edged sword, words can create a positive or negative impact.

Hitler manipulated the whole country with words, based on fear-generated beliefs and agreements. Your mind is like the fertile ground, you plant a seed, thought & it grows irrespective if it’s bad or good.

Words are like spells & you cast spells all the time with your opinions.

Sometimes people( Parents, siblings, friends, teachers) give opinions about you without thinking. You believe these opinions & live in fear over these opinions, like not being good at swimming, or sports, or writing. It doesn’t matter how good you are, you’ll believe you are not.

Self rejection is the biggest sin you commit.

Being Impeccable means taking responsibility for your actions, without judging or blaming yourself. It means to use your energy in the direction of truth and love for yourself.

Unfortunately, mostly you use the word to curse, to blame, to find guilt, to destroy. This misuse of spell/ words is black magic. Cause of this you and I create fear and doubts in each other and pull each other down.

Whenever you hear an opinion and believe it, you make an agreement, and it becomes part of your belief system.

The only thing that can break a spell is to make a new agreement based on truth. The truth is the most important part of being impeccable with your word. Only truth can set you free.

Gossiping is a new form of communication nowadays. it makes you feel better to see someone else feel as badly as you do(agree or not it’s true). It’s like a computer virus, every single time others gossip to you, they insert a computer virus into your mind, causing you to think a little less clearly every time. So stay away from such a gossip group.

You also talk to yourself constantly and often you say negative things. Remember one thing Your opinion or others opinion is nothing but just a point of view. It is not necessarily true. So don’t take it seriously.

How much you love yourself and how you feel about yourself are directly proportionate to the quality and integrity of your word.

This first agreement will change the kind of seeds your mind is fertile for. Tell yourself how wonderful you are, how great you are. Tell yourself how much you love yourself. Use the word to break all those teeny, tiny agreements that make you suffer.

2nd Agreement; Don’t Take Anything Personally:

During the domestication, you learn to take things personally.

Taking things personally is nothing but a sign of selfishness, Cause you think everything is about you. You assume that others know everything about you, your world, and you try to impose your world on their world.

Whatever people say about you, good or bad it’s just an opinion, point of view which came from the programming they received during domestication.

When you take things personally, then you feel offended, and your reaction is to defend your beliefs and create conflicts. You give your opinions to defend yourself & prove others wrong.

No matter what, Others are going to have their own opinion according to their belief system, so nothing they think about you is really about you, but it is about them.

Even the opinions you have about yourself are not necessarily true. Therefore don’t even take your own thoughts personally.

Your mind has the ability to think to speak to itself and listen. There are thousands of agreements, & beliefs stored in your mind. Some part of the mind has objections to certain thoughts and actions, and another part supports the actions of the opposing thoughts. It is up to you what you choose to believe.

By taking things personally you set yourself up to suffer for nothing. You have to trust yourself and choose to believe or not to believe what someone says to you.

When you really see other people as they are without taking it personally, you can never be hurt by what they say or do.

When you make it a strong habit not to take anything personally, you avoid many upsets in your life. Your anger, jealousy, and envy will disappear, and even your sadness will simply disappear if you don’t take things personally.

3rd Agreement; Don’t Make Assumptions:

Agree or not, You love to make assumptions about everything and that’s not the problem, the problem is you believe they are true.

You assume what others thinking, doing, etc then you misunderstood, you create chaos, take things personally, try to defend your assumptions & end up creating a whole big drama for nothing.

You only see what you wanna see & hear what you want to hear.

Literally, just cause you don’t understand something, you make up things in your mind which has nothing to do with reality. That’s why It is always better to ask questions than to make an assumption because assumptions set you up for suffering.

Example: if a cute girl smiles at a guy, the assumptions that guy can make are unlimited & it changes person to person.

If you are in a relationship, often you assume that your partner knows what you think & what you want. If they don’t do according to what you assumed then you feel disappointed & say, “You should have known”. Which is very toxic for any relationship.

Often when you go into a relationship with someone you like, you have to justify why you like that person. You don’t need to justify love; it is there or not there. Real love is accepting other people the way they are without trying to change them.

Making assumptions in relationships leads to a lot of fights, a lot of difficulties, a lot of misunderstandings with people you supposedly love.

It’s very interesting how the mind works. It wants answers & explanation for everything & there are millions of questions in your mind which need to be answered. The mind doesn’t care if the answer is true or not, that why you make assumptions.

You make all sorts of assumptions because you don’t have the courage to ask questions. You make assumptions about yourself, You overestimate or underestimate yourself because you haven’t taken the time to ask yourself questions and to answer them.

The day you stop making assumptions with your partner and eventually with everyone else in your life. Your way of communicating will change completely, and your relationships will no longer suffer from conflicts created by mistaken assumptions.

So how you avoid making assumptions? By knowing the truth. To know the truth have the courage to ask questions, keep the conversation clear.

Understanding the importance of these agreements is not enough. Information or an idea is merely the seed in your mind. What will really make the difference is, action.

4th Agreement; Always Do Your Best:

No matter what but always do your best, nothing more nothing less. But keep in mind your best will never be the same from one moment to another. Your best will depend on whether you are feeling wonderful and happy, or upset, angry, or jealous.

when you try too hard to do more than your best & don’t get expected results you feel disappointed, unsatisfied. While if you do less than your best, you judge yourself, feel guilty & regret it.

Don’t sacrifice your joy, your life by spending time doing more than your best. You are also supposed to live, be happy, enjoy.

You do your best because you want to do it, not because you have to do it, not because you are trying to please the inner Judge, and not because you are trying to please other people. If you or doing something just cause you have to, then you are not gonna give your best.

I am sure you have many great ideas in your mind, but you are not willing to take action. Actions are how we accept life & inactions are how we deny life. Without actions, you won’t get any results neither rewards.

Example: Forest Gump(movie), He was richly rewarded without expecting any reward at all. Taking action is being alive. It’s taking the risk to go out and express your dream. If you haven’t seen the movie, do yourself a favor and watch it.

Let go of the past and live in the present. You are born with the right to be happy. Say yes or no whatever you want to say, you have the right to be you and You can only be you when you do your best.

Action makes the difference, be human. Respect your body, enjoy your body, love your body, feed, clean, and heal your body.

If you stick to these agreements then soon you’ll be living a happier life. You just have to accept, adapt the four agreements in your life. But it won’t be easy to keep all four agreements, the path will be full of obstacles. So if you fail, do not judge. Stand up and make the agreement again. If you break an agreement, begin again tomorrow, and again the next day.

Conclusion:

You are living in a dream, you don’t know who you really are.

The life you living, the values you have, you didn’t choose anything. You didn’t even choose our own name.

Your words are powerful, use them carefully.

What other people think of you is just an opinion based on the belief system they received during domestication.

The Trinity Principle for Our Movement

First of all, I again thank Mr. Robert Maynard for his hard work for publicizing case records of the church lawsuit. (BTW, I am not the lady he knows.) I also agree with his suggestion and enthusiasm for uniting with each other, going beyond our factions. “Moonies of the world, unite! We have nothing to lose but the social stigma!" (smile)

Seriously, I support his project and submit the following—

HOW do we acquire the political sovereignty over the world?

The worldly sovereignty is what our True Parents want for our movement. A religion as normally understood is not good enough, because in the modern world we cannot mandate free individuals by a religion to submit to an absolute sovereignty. Our church should rather become like the Catholic or Islam, which mix up religion and politics, and mandate peoples of their countries (like Vatican or ISIS) to submit to the God. That is exactly what True Parents want. That way, all people over the world have no choice but to become the children of God. It is a tough love, stylized by the Messiah from North Korea (I am NOT talking about Kim Jung-eun).

So, how do you acquire the worldly sovereignty? “By changing the constitution of each of the individual countries on the earth, in which the people must submit to the Unification Church’s sovereignty.” (This is what the Catholic Church was trying to do during the Middle Age. Nothing new.)

How do you change the constitution of each of the individual countries? “By acquiring the majority vote of people or by persuading the local sovereign to change the constitution. Or, a revolution.”

How do you do that? “By running a political party and/or social movement that appeals to people of the country or to their sovereign.”

“How do you do that?” is the question you need to keep asking, so that the task (expressed as answer) gets smaller and smaller at each level of the subordinate inquiries. And, you stop when your last answer (task) is so small that you can immediately act upon for accomplishment. If you cannot accomplish any task, the size is still too big for you. Cut it down to your bite size. Then, keep working on the segmented tasks, one by one, in the reverse order, until your organization realizes the unification of the world. This is how you can achieve anything in the world, provided you or your organization has enough time and resources to accomplish all of the identified tasks.

What was the last task you got in this line of inquiry? Whatever it was, you are involved in a political or social movement project, probably with a superficial make-up of religion. I know, it does not register quite well in your psyche: “I thought I joined a pure religion for my spiritual salvation. What the hell…” This is the core problem we have, and we have been avoiding to see the reality.

This is where we are required to decide whether to quit the movement, or proceed.

If you have decided to quit, find another religion or ethical system for your spiritual salvation. There are tons, and many are more than sufficient to serve your individual need.

If you have decided to proceed, you need to change your mindset now. The Divine Principle is a Korean theology that serves only a small sect of religion in this world. Think about the current church membership against the world population. That is not good enough for a worldwide movement. In fact, it is a bad reference. Spending so much money on all those big events is the ethnic approach, which is far outdated.

Instead, you need to study modern political science and learn from other successful movements. After several centuries of experiment, we now have a fairly good consensus for one fundamental law that governs all the successful movements in the general society, not just in a religious community. This law consists of 3 principles: (a) Transparency, (b) Accountability, and (c) Democracy.

I call this law the “Holy Trinity” of working principles for social organizations and movements (shortly, the "Trinity Principle”). The Trinity Principle supersedes the Divine Principle in the new era. Think about all the problems that happened in the past and the present of our movement. If the Church had implemented these principles, would we still have such problems?

This law is similar to the Moses’ DO-NOT Commandments: (a) Do NOT hide or alter the true records of your organization’s common funds, (b) Do NOT give an absolute immunity to your leaders, and (c) Do NOT create or support a dictatorship in your organization. And, “if you violate any of these rules, your organization will surely die,” would Moses say.

Not all movements with the Trinity Principle are successful, because it is like a dietary rule that just makes your organization healthy. If you violate the rule, your organization will become sick and die. That’s it. But, remember that Health is the most important asset your organization could possess. With the healthy body of organization, you can do a lot and dramatically improve your chances to accomplish your organizational goal, such as the worldly sovereignty. Even if your organization doesn’t get the success, that is all right, because being and living a member of the healthy organization itself is already rewarding. It is a joy. In addition, as long as your organization is healthy, you can always try another way to achieve your goal. Remember how Edison invented the light bulb?

The bigger your organizational goal is, the healthier and stronger your organizational body must be. Then, other necessary strategies for success (mainly about the membership and finance) come rather easily. You just need basic intelligence, right conscience, focus, diligence, and a lot of experiences, and then you can accomplish anything. If you are on the right path, you will arrive at your destination someday. The success becomes a matter of time.

Our problem has always been the health issue. Our current decline is not due to lack of good strategies. We have intelligence, but do not have the organizational strength to execute many of our good plans. Our organization is weak, sick, and depressed. Why? Because our church, mostly the leaders, have constantly violated this Trinity Principle. 

Our church is dying, but it can recover if we now respect and follow the Trinity Principle. Let’s state it another way, because it is so important:

(a)   All the donations and common expense must be available for the public view (Transparency)

(b)   All the leaders (including the True Mother or Hyun-Jin) are reviewed and evaluated against the outcome of their decisions and actions (Accountability), and

(c)   All the policies and bylaws are made by all people of the organization, via a direct or representative means (Democracy).

We individually or collectively (if we can) demand the Trinity Principle to our local church board first. Then, to the regional headquarters, to the national headquarters, and eventually to the Chun-jung Palace in Korea. Without their agreement, no more donation and participation from us. That is the only leverage we have. Meanwhile, we could just do a family church, picnic, or hiking on every Sunday, while enjoying the remaining drama of the True Parents movement. Again, we have nothing to lose now but the social stigma.

The Trinity Principle is harder to follow, but it protects and supports our movement because it is a general law (much like the law of physics). It will provide us with such a solid foundation for growth that our movement will become a joy. Our souls will flourish in the community of trust, freedom, and equality, supported by the Trinity Principle.

On the other hand, the traditional dictatorship (the messiah thing) is poison or opium to our collective movement. Under the dictatorship, we members have become so lazy and irresponsible for our movement. The culture of absolute obedience has dumbed down our intelligence and dulled out our conscience so much that we no longer have a real perspective of our Creator and His will for the humanity. Do you? We have become idol worshipers in mannerism, who just praise and bow to the picture or persons of True Parents. What has happened to us?

Remember, the center of our religion is the Heavenly Parent (yes, the God) -- not the True Parents (yes, they are humans).

We now must claim and acquire the ownership of our movement. As the Bible teaches, a church is the community (people), not its administrators (professional). We the people own the church as a collective body and hire the professional to execute our plans. With that, our church will become a healthy body.

In this regard, Mr. Maynard’s effort (publicizing case records of the church lawsuit) is very meaningful, because the democracy of information is an absolutely necessary foundation to implement the Trinity Principle in our movement.

We also need a forum of free speech, where individual members could speak up with their opinions, without fear of persecution. This is also a practice to claim our ownership. Freedom of Speech is another essential foundation to support the Trinity Principle. Unfortunately, there is no legal or ethical protection yet for individual rights in the church organization and community, and we need to find a way meantime. Anonymous forums are the way. Now, I will start by saying that I don’t think that Tinder necessarily reflects young culture on the whole. I think it attracts a certain types of people and, if you want to peruse what’s on offer there, you have to expect that 99% of what you’re going to find is of that variety. I’m going to explain what makes up that variety and my thoughts on each aspect.

In my mind, I have created the generic “modern girl’s” profile. It goes something like this:

“Me: Yogi. Wine Drinker. World Traveler. Fluent in Sarcasm. Tattoos. Whiskey. Sagittarius.

You: Must love dogs. Beards and Flannel are a plus. Over 6’ Tall.

Loves: Coffee. Witty Banter. My Passport.

Hates: Trump and his supporters. Animal Cruelty. Religion.

Just go ahead and swipe left if you’re looking for a one-night stand, or if you smoke.

It can be many permutations of this profile, but I think you get the idea. The picture painted for us here is one of a feminist, animal lover, party seeking, lobbyist, esoteric, pseudo-intellectual, kool-aid drinker filled with wanderlust. This type of profile, or parts-of it, are so common between my search range in D.C. for the ages of 26-32 that it almost feels like people are copy-pasting their profiles from a website offering pre-made information.

Tinder is infuriating in the sense that I wish that I could confront people with their own obvious hypocrisy sometimes, but I can’t unless they swipe right on me as well. To be honest, nobody would (or will) swipe right on me because I’m not Patrick Dempsey or Channing Tatum or whatever the female kind in this area (and age range) seem to be interested in finding via online methods. I’m also quite sure that most of them either don’t take the app seriously enough to put much effort into or, or they are into casual sex and one-night stands.

Before I continue, I must make the preface that I understand sometimes that what is listed may not be part of a person’s identity and may, instead, just be a list of things that the person likes. However, when you begin a sentence with “I am…” or “Me:” you are telling me that whatever is about to come next is such an integral part of you that you feel the pressing need to mention it as a date qualifier. Also, I would submit that the things we are interested in do, in fact, make up part of our identity. Of course, everybody isn’t going to be a unique and utterly astounding person, but I do think it’s worth sitting down and trying to figure out why a guy would choose to pick you over any other random girl. If you don’t know why that is, then you can be darn sure the only thing they want to do is sleep with you.

“Yogi – Yogini – Loves Yoga / Barre / Running”

First of all. What you’re talking about is exercise. You’re such a boring person that part of your identity is literally made-up by what kind of exercise you do. Nobody cares. Of course, we want you to look good… nobody is specifically looking for a boxtroll on purpose; but, whether you get your health and looks from running, barre, yogi, general calisthenics, tumbling, gymnastics, swimming, soccer, or whatever, we don’t care. Unless, what you really mean to say is that you practice yoga as a spiritual art. However, rarely do the supplied photographs and Instagram accounts validate this theory. Most of what can be seen are females doing some version of a hand-stand or self-lift and taking a selfie of it. These are often accompanied by tepid statements that are meant to “inspire” the viewer to the same level of passion that the artist (or yogi) has to “believe in their dreams” or that “you’re beautiful” (despite not knowing you or anything about you). What’s not captured in the photo are the twenty two tries that it took for them to take the perfect handstand selfie. To be honest, this is the first in what I’ll call “the boring girl’s list of superlatives”. I wish this didn’t catch on… just keep your personal habits a secret until we’re serious with each other, then it might make a difference.

“Wine Drinker”

There are some women out there that seem to think that drinking wine makes a person cultured. In fact, wine culture has only recently made its way into society’s spotlight with the advent of mainstream wine stores and “painting while drinking” studios. Although wine has never been a completely absent thing in the United States, just think back to the 90’s… where would one go to get a fine wine? Were sommeliers as prevalent? Modern society has definitely placed a spotlight on this drink.

Given this cultural history, it’s not surprising that you’re “into wine”. That’s like saying in the 50’s and 60’s “I’m into The Beatles”. Of course you are, it’s what everybody is doing these days. By saying you’re a wine drinker what you’re really saying is that you’re into what everybody else is into. I would be more impressed by a person who said they didn’t like wine, because at least they stand against something that a lot of people do. It’s almost anti-establishment. Of course, if you like wine there is no problem with that. It’s a drink made from fruit, and it’s been around for some time (so humans have gotten pretty good at making it), but the real issue here is that I’m certain that your love of wine is just a cover up for your love of being drunk. It’s “classier” to drink wine, therefore it looks better if you’re a lush. I am not particularly interested in girls who list part of their identity (or just interests) as being made up of the love of alcohol. While I do drink a beer occasionally (and I do mean… very occasionally), I would never list it as a positive on my chart of things-about-me. I feel that people who do, are just filling in space where something more interesting should be.

“World Traveler / Wanderlust”

This is the one that gets me every time. Almost every. single. girl. has this on her profile these days. As you might start picking up, most of the things on this long and exhaustive list are things that any normal and sane person would simply say “of course” to. Of course you’re in love with travelling. Who isn’t? Who doesn’t want to go explore other cultures and landscapes, food and people? It’s fun. The only person who has said to me that they are not interested in this kind of thing is my racist ex-step-mother.

The issue here is not that you like traveling, but that traveling has become almost a kind-of “keeping up with the joneses” type of thing. “How many countries have you been to?” “I’ve been to 12.” “Oh yeah? Well, I’ve been to 19!” As if going to more countries makes you a progressively more interesting person. Nope, you’re just the same old asshole that’s pissing off another group of people for about a week. Either that, or you’ve been squatting somewhere (like Bangkok) where a bunch of other foreigners are, working as a foreign teacher and also pissing off the locals for a couple of years. A sub-genre of this “traveling culture” is people who say they just “moved” from some place international back to the D.C. area when, in fact, they are either from here or from somewhere else in the U.S. originally. Mother-father, you didn’t MOVE from anywhere. You simply returned from a temporary residence in another place. You were always going to come back here because your money ran out or you don’t have any marketable skills (or language) to stay permanently in that place.

I was in the Peace Corps in China from 2013 to 2015. I would not make the statement that I recently “moved” back from China. I was always going to come back. Moving implies an unexpected (or at least not forseen for a medium amount of time) situation that causes you do pick-up residence and resettle somewhere new for a specific reason. Humans like having a home, and they are creatures of habit. If you say you “moved”, chances are that you knew you would return to the U.S. at some point. If you work in D.C., it was likely because your job was a temporary limited-term appointment.

Another funny quirk that I’ll mention briefly is for a foreigner (a non-U.S. Citizen) to list on their Tinder account that they just “moved” from <someplace> to the U.S. As a United States Immigration Officer, I know they are glossing over a few major points with this one.

If you are not aware of how our system works, one does not just simply decide to “move” to America. That’s not possible. The two major ways into the U.S. are through employment or family. If you “moved” here, it’s either because an employer petitioned for you to be a Green Card holder so that they can use your unique skills to supplement their company, or it’s because you got married to somebody and they petitioned for you to come here as a green card holder. In some minor circumstances, other USC’s can petition for their brothers and sisters to come to the U.S. but normally we see that these people are older and not in the 26-32 age range. Other notable ways to move are being a child of any of the above categories, as you would move with your family as a derivative to that benefit.

MOST of the people on Tinder in the age range that I’ve described in D.C. are not intending immigrants, but non-immigrant visa holders that have a time-limit on their stay here. This is similar to my above point where the word “move” implies a largely unexpected situation change that causes you to resettle for an indefinite amount of time. In the circumstance that you are a graduate student or a nanny temporarily residing in the U.S., you cannot say that you “moved” to the U.S. You’re just here for a short-time until you’ve finished with what you need to do and the terms of your visa state that you need to leave afterwards. While some people wouldn’t think twice about the meaning of the word “move”, it is something that bothers me. Mostly because it glosses over a huge piece of information about that person, and also implies that they’re going to stick around for a while. This may play upon the initial reactions of people who are searching for commitment.

World traveler bothers me on an economic level. Alright, so you have a decent job. You’ve been to how many countries? Most travelers aren’t super knowledgeable about special pricing and fare-deals. They also have a tendency to be tourists and have no connection to the place where they go. They simply move from one place to another on the earth and continue to be a consumer of that place instead of a give-backer. All of that to say that traveling is expensive. Flights, hotels, rental cars, food, drinks, fun crap to do. I get emails about cheap flights, and not once have I priced out a week’s vacation for under $1200, and that’s getting a huge discount on a flight. If you have $1200 just laying around to spend on a week’s vacation somewhere, then I expect you to not have a car loan or credit card debt. Generally speaking, it’s idiocy to spend that money if you have consumer debt.

The argument here is that “I want to enjoy my life while I’m young” instead of waiting until you’re older when you might not have the physical prowess to do it (or just be dead). This is exactly the kind of self-first thinking that has caused America to be a credit society instead of a saving society. When you end up 80 years old and having no savings because you didn’t sufficiently plan for retirement (I assume because you didn’t think you’d live that long), you’ll be taxing our already over-burdened Social Security system.

Swipe after swipe I see the same thing on the profiles “world traveler”, “loves travelling”, “let’s go on an adventure”, etc. I don’t see a fun person, what I see is a person who is extremely bad with their money and looking for a free ticket to a vacation. As I’ve said before, traveling the world is fun and exciting, but there’s simply no way that people have the cash on hand and means to be doing it as much as it’s represented on Tinder

“Hella Sarcastic / Fluent in Sarcasm / Etc.”

When I see something like this on somebody’s profile, I immediately think that they must be a terrible person to be around. By saying that you’re a “sarcastic” person, what you’re TRYING to say is that you’re witty or funny. However, that is not what sarcasm is. Sarcasm is a negative counter inflection to what your statement really intends.

“Hey guys, like my new jacket?”

“Yeah Dave… real nice… *rolls eyes*.”

Sarcasm can be funny in small amounts, but in larger doses it’s disingenuous and rude. Imagine a person who spoke to other people like person 2 in the example above? Wouldn’t you think that they thought they knew better then you, or that you couldn’t connect with them as a human being because their humor set them apart from you? I know I would.

Sarcasm is used as a replacement for true wit. It’s a little subversive, so it gives the user a sense that they understand more than what they’re saying. People know that wit is formed in the intelligent mind and isn’t something immediately graspable by common people. In their effort to seem “better than thou” or, at least, want to picture themselves as in some sort-of movie (like a romantic comedy perhaps?) they latch onto anything that makes them seem smarter or more intelligent than they really are. If you want an example of real wit, you might look up your favorite Guy Ritchie movie, or episode of Top Gear. Europeans (especially the British) are exceptionally good at wit. Americans are not. That being said, wit isn’t usually something that can easily be riffed from the top of your head. It’s usually planned, and written, and crafted. Sarcasm does NOT equal wit.

Most girls who list this on their profile as a positive either don’t understand what Sarcasm is, are using it as a replacement for being funny, or picture themselves in a movie where all the characters have a kind-of loveable tension between them. It is especially telling about what kind of person they are if they use this. Note to males: keep away unless you enjoy slamming your fork down at dinner with your friends and screaming “Enough Stacey! You think you’re funny, but you’re not! You’ve got spinach in your teeth!”

“Curses like a sailor / Potty Mouth / Etc.”

I’ll tell you straight up. I do not like this even a little bit.

I’ll also tell you another thing straight up. If you want a guy who is actively seeking a girl who curses a lot, then you’re looking for a bad hombre. You want a guy who isn’t going to be good to you.

Nobody really likes cursing. Most of us engage in it at some point. Usually out of frustration or in the middle of telling a really exaggerated story. Almost no sane and normal person throws curse words into their sentence for no reason what-so-casual-ever.

Nobody likes girls that curse either, unless they are an avid curser and probably aren’t well-liked themselves. The reason is because that we like to believe in the good of humanity, and subconsciously we all know that cursing is quite the opposite. It reflects the negative dregs and pits of human consciousness and experience and for somebody to so lightly pepper a sentence with that they are telling us that they’ve given up on trying to be a good person. They’re even telling us that they don’t care what other people think about them. They’ll curse in front of children, in front of their parents, at the movies, in the mall, at the grocery store. You’ll have people looking at you all the time. You have to be slightly sociopathic to NOT care about that.

While I actually think that these girls are telling the truth here, and probably have mouths like sailors, what I think they’re really trying to do is “just be one of the guys”. I think that they’re either listing this, or have become this, in order to appeal to the kind of guy that doesn’t want a prissy girl or a girl that is high maintenance. The issue is that I’m not looking for another guy. I’m looking for a partner to try and be better for. I’m looking for someone that makes me want to be a better person, not someone who will go down into the blackness with me. I don’t want a girl that is high maintenance, one that can get along with my friends, one that WE can be close friends. I don’t need another “bro”.

Specifically choosing a girl who says they have a potty mouth is like finding a dog that is foaming at the mouth and losing its hair and taking it home as your pet. It’s got rabies and it’s going to bite you at some point. Your subconscious is trying to tell you something here…

“Tattooed / Tattoos”

This one is strange to me. A person listing ink on their body as part of their identity when it should be the other way around. Polynesians get tattoos on their body as an outward reflection of who they are. Not that having a tattoo is the identifier for them, but that it’s a signifier.

What we’ve got here is the Jennifer Aniston from Office Space situation. You know, that one where her boss is trying to insinuate that she wear more “flair” on her suspenders for her job at Shenanigans? She asks “isn’t 20 the minimum” and her boss replies “yes, but is that all you want to be is just the minimum?”

It doesn’t seem to matter to the girl what the tattoos are of. Which, in my opinion, should be important since there are a lot of absolutely crap-tastic tattoos these days. Just so long as you have tattoos, it’s hot. This tells me that girls aren’t really even paying attention to the tattoo specifically, but that the tattoo is acting as a signifier in this context. They signify that the guy is a badass. A guy who is willing to suffer the slings and arrows of society’s judgment about his character, a guy who paves his own way, blazes his own trail, and on and on ad-nauseum.

Reality check. Tattoos have become so mainstream now that one in two millenials have one. 45 million American’s claim to have at least one tattoo. Considering that the population is only 325,000,000 people in the United States, that means at least 14% of people have one tattoo (from babies to the elderly) and I’m even willing to bet that that number is way too low since 5 out of 9 of my coworkers have a tattoo (or had one and got it removed). It’s simply not that special anymore. It doesn’t have any bearing or meaning on the character of the individual except that they either want to memorialize something, or don’t mind using their own body as a canvas.

Personally, I don’t have any tattoos, because there was nothing I ever thought I wanted permanently on my body. Plus, I’m not convinced that the science behind putting ink under your skin completely backs up a long and healthy lifestyle. Also, it’s another waste of money. I have seen really cool ones, but mostly what I see are junk tattoos that are just o.k. or are terrible. I don’t think that this reflects on a person’s character more than anything else except for the simple fact of what they want YOU to think of them or what they think about their own body. It would not be something I list in my “looking for” section of a profile since no good information about a person can come from it. Similar to looking for someone “with hair”.

“Whiskey / Drinks Whiskey / Whiskey Drinker”

Wow. This is something that I tend to see way more than I would have ever thought. This is probably the one single superlative listed on a young female’s profile that makes me think you guys are copying from one another. There literally cannot… CANNOT… be this many women who are into drinking whiskey. There aren’t that many men who are into it for certain.

First of all, I believe this is listed on profiles for much the same reason as the above “curses like a sailor” is listed. It makes you seem like one of the “boys”. “Hey guys, check me out… I don’t want a cosmopolitan fru-fru drink, give me a good ol’ straight shot of whiskey. I’m down with the boys.” That’s literally what that is telling me when I read that you are a whiskey drinker. At this point in human history, there are so many different kinds of alcohol. You could have a special affinity for ouzo, or sangria, or mint schnapps, or lambic, or anything else but one of the most regular kinds of alcohol there are. Furthermore, liking “whiskey” isn’t even a clear indication of what you’re into since there are at least five different major sub-types of whiskey (Irish, Scotch, Canadian, Tennessee, and Bourbon). So which one is it? Or do you like all whiskey? Or are you just… an alcoholic?

This one is kind of a mix of “I’m a regular guy” and “I am boring, so I do all the things other girls do”. Again, putting your identity in what you drink is telling of the fact that you have nothing else going on for you.

��Sagittarius / Gemini / <insert astrological sign here>”

Listen, I don’t know what kind of retro-dark ages bullshit we have reverted to, but putting your astrological sign in your dating profile is an instant left-swipe from me. You could be the hottest girl I’d ever seen, but if you’re telling me that you believe in ANY of that baseless bull crap then you’re nowhere near a fit for me. Even if you take it as a joke. Even if you only half think it’s interesting. Any merit you place in this esoteric pseudo-science taints your entire being to me.

The reason is because it’s no different than witchcraft. To look at the stars and think that their placement in the sky has literally ANYTHING to do with your life as an individual is both offensive to the progress we’ve made as a species and egotistical. It is offensive in the sense that everything astrology stands for flies in the face of science. It is literally based on ancient practice before the scientific method was invented and hasn’t been proven true even a little bit. It’s egotistical in the fact that you think the stars care, or that fate is somehow concerned with you specifically. Oh wait… it isn’t concerned with you specifically… the science groups people into twelve and only twelve vague groupings based on birthdate. So tell me again how we’re supposed to take this seriously in any way?

If you see any truth in a horoscope, or those vague lists that get passed around Facebook and social media that list superlatives for people in each group, then you have a problem with your perception of the world. You’re easily fooled. You can be led astray without any effort.

Now, I’m a Christian, so some might ask how I can believe in both science and what the Bible says. Frankly speaking, I don’t see that religion and science are necessarily fighting with each other. I believe that God has allowed to us to discover what he has built, and that things back at the time that the books of the Bible were written may have appeared the way they did. In fact, as a further twist, there are schools of thought and evidence out there to support what the Bible says with scientific fact. I absolutely reject the esoteric sciences like palm-reading, tarot cards, Ouija boards, astrology, and any kind of the occult. The fact that astrology still lingers around in our society (as well as these other things) is simply a sign that evil hasn’t disappeared and it’s been here since the beginning of recorded human history.

Also, on a less spiritual level, it’s just plain stupid. How are you able to convince yourself that you can match with another person based on these arbitrary categories made a long time ago? I think it works more like the placebo effect. If two people are agreeing that they are compatible because they have compatible astrological signs, then they are simply compatible because they are agreeing and nothing more.

Actually, you know what? I’m glad that people list this on their profiles. It just helps me identify the wrong people more quickly.

“Must Love Dogs”

Ok. So I’m not sure where this came from? Sounds like the title of a movie or something. I don’t know that many guys who don’t like dogs. In fact, I can't think of a single male friend of mine that wouldn’t at least pet a dog, let alone say they don’t like them. I realize that you may have a dog that you trap in your house and won’t let go because you love it so much, but if me and the dog don’t get along (or are just, at best, acquaintances) you’re saying that you would trash the whole relationship? There is something seriously sociopathic about that.

Most dogs that people keep as pets are nice. They’re cute and fluffy. They lick you. They are active when you want to be. A dog will love you almost no matter what, and they only have friendly intentions towards you. What I think this represents is something that you’re searching for in a man that you haven’t been able to find because our culture is so whacked out these days. Unconditional love from something you value. Not just unconditional love. There are guys out there willing to give that to you; ugly guys, fat guys, real dorks with hearts of gold; but you don’t want their love. You want what they have to offer plus good looks. You choose your dog, or maybe you don’t… it doesn’t matter because most dogs are cute and/or cuddly. A dog will give you unconditional love and it’s cute. Both things that serve you and your designs. Oh, if only you could find a cute guy who will love you unconditionally… well, guess what. That’s what we’re all looking for. Get over it.

If you say something to the effect of “My dog better like you or else we’re not gonna work out” what you’re saying is that you treasure your relationship with things that make you happy over human connection. It’s very materialistic if you stop and think about it. You might as well say something like “You’d better like my Coach purse, or else we’re not going to work out”. Who gives a crap if I like your purse… or dog… as long as you like it that’s all that matters. If you picked a good dog, I’ll probably like it and we’ll probably get along fine. Unless I’m allergic to it, in which case you’re making a predetermined judgment about me based on something I can’t control. This isn’t really something even worth mentioning in your profile. I guess, mentioning that you HAVE a dog is a good idea, especially if you love it a lot, but saying that you’d put a higher priority on your relationship with your dog means you’re not ready for a relationship with a human. Humans and dogs are different. Deal with it.

“The Height Thing / Please be over <X’Y”>”

Man, we’re doing real well as a society when we can be so picky and choosy over what the other person looks like physically. I understand that it’s a turn off to have a guy who’s shorter than you, that goes back to the animalistic sides of being human. Hunter and gatherer type of stuff. It seems narrow-minded of you to require me to list my height so it makes it easier for you to accept or reject me without even first giving me a shot.

Also, height and weight are two different things. I do not want a fat girl. I will say that outright. Overweight / Obesity is highly unattractive to me because it comes across as sweaty, smelly, and speaks deeply about your habits and who you are as a person. I realize that, due to genetics, there are people who are more prone to be overweight. I am not judging those people as bad people. However, that doesn’t make me attracted to them. Weight is not healthy, it’s a biological circumstance that you are presented with when you eat too much or have a slow metabolism. We don’t always accept our biological circumstances as “beautiful” or “attractive” because that makes us who we are. Think about cerebral palsy. It’s not attractive, it’s quite hideous. We love the people who are afflicted with it DESPITE it. We don’t love them BECAUSE they have it. The same goes for weight, we can love somebody DESPITE their weight, but we don’t love them BECAUSE they’re overweight. We also try to cure cerebral palsy. We don’t think it’s good for a person to have. Medicines, physical therapy, gene therapy. We live in an odd culture now that seems to want to glorify laziness and physical afflictions. “You’re beautiful just the way you are.” “Stop the body shaming.” “I’m not fat, I’m curvy”.

No. You will be shamed because weight is something you can control and you don’t. You’re not curvy… you are fat. I don’t see the lipstick choice, or the dress, or the hairstyle of a girl who is overweight; the only thing I can focus on is the fact that she is massively overweight. All of the effort of trying to make yourself pretty is useless.

There is a range of weight. Not all overweight people are obese. There are some girls out there that look very good with more weight on them, but they’re not who I’m talking about. I’m talking about the literal 50-100lbs+ women who are out there in the dating world. If a guy is willing to date you despite that, then that is awesome. You are totally and 100% deserving of the same love as anybody else. However, you must know that you wouldn’t be doing him a disservice if you lost the weight. He would not complain.

I know it sucks, but you may have to work harder for the same things than other people do. This affects most of humanity, as most of us, in some way or another, fall into a minority group that serves to our detriment. Do you think it’s easy being a Christian this day and age?

Height is different than weight. A person cannot change their height despite their damnedest. This, in effect, means that you are being exclusive of people for something that they cannot change. To be fair, I do this as well. If I don’t like a girl’s face, I’ll swipe left on her. I am not asking her to get surgery to change her face and, realistically speaking, she can’t really change it anyways. So I’m judging them based on something they can’t change. However, the difference between that and what you’re doing is that I’m taking it on a case-by-case basis and giving each person their due consideration. Whereas, you’re simply writing off a whole group of people without even seeing them individually. That’s pretty selfish.

Must be nice to be able to cherry pick what we want out of other people.

(You see… that was sarcasm… Was it funny? I didn’t think so…)

“Witty Banter”

So what I actually think “witty banter” means is probably not at all what most girls mean when they put it on their profile. What it should mean is a conversation full of well crafted, and well timed, jibs at the other person or about the topic. Zingers, if you will.

The problem with this is that most people are morons and can’t craft a joke full of “wit” outside of the obvious with any accuracy. So, in practice, what I think “witty banter” really pertains to is the significant other’s ability to be sarcastic or crude. Despite all of these women on Tinder that claim to love witty banter, I have never met a girl that has held an entire conversation that one could describe as being “full of wit”. What I mostly observe in real life are girls being really sarcastic and obnoxious about whatever topic and resorting to the most obvious joke about whatever topic is on the table.

This idea may also refer to rapid topic switching, where one topic leads immediately to another. This happens when a completely new and unrelated topic is bred out of one or more pieces of the previous topic of conversation. It goes something like this:

“I need to take a shower, I smell.”

“Aw yah, me too. My aunt has the best shower in the world”

“Oh yeah, what kind?”

“It’s kind of like a hotel shower with a really huge head and it kind of comes down on you from above.”

“Oh man, I love hotels. What’s the last one you stayed in?”

“I stayed in one a few months ago. We got a really good service on it.”

“What? How?”

“We used the ‘tip sandwich’ trick.”

“What’s that?”

“That’s where you sandwich a tip between your credit card and ID when you’re at the front desk.”

“Oh, that’s really smart”

“Which hand to you masturbate with?”

The conversation continued on like that for nearly an hour; jumping randomly from one piece of content in a sentence to another. There is nothing “witty” about that conversation. In fact, that conversation was a real one that I personally observed in my real life that actually took place. It was quite baffling to try and follow their trains of thought while it was happening, and I found myself asking “what is actually being communicated here?”

Real wit takes effort, time, and thought. Most normal people don’t have the capacity for this, unless they are older… and British.

Next.

“Open Minded”

So I see a ton of girls put this on their profile. It’s almost as if they’re trying to convince other girls that they are part of the “open minded” club. Usually it’s thrown on there as a two-word phrase with a period and doesn’t contain any kind of explanation as to the nature of its meaning.

This is an issue because “open minded” could mean a handful of things.

On the one hand, it could be referring to a political leaning. For example, someone could be open minded about new policies and theories, and fixing something that is broken. This may be indicating that the speaker of the phrase leans heavily democratic or left wing and it more liberal. I’m not making this up. Liberally minded people literally often describe themselves as “open minded” and think that anybody with an opposite viewpoint is not.

Open minded could also mean that they are willing to sleep with either a male or female. They are “open minded” sexually, and are willing to run with whatever situation they find for themselves, instead of being “closed minded” and only being accepting of a more traditional monogamous or gender heteronormative dichotomy.

It could also be something just as simple as being open minded towards whatever the other person has in mind for a date.

The problem with injecting this phrase into your profile and not explaining what it means is that it leaves the interpretation up to the viewer, which may explain why you get a lot of jerk-offs hoping that what you’re talking about is my second point.

Also, the phrase is kind of egotistical. You’re describing yourself with a word that you realize has a more beneficial connotation than “closed minded”. With this label you are saying that you are “this” way and other people are “that” way, when you, in fact, do not have any idea about what other people are and are just doing the same thing that you probably accuse “closed minded” people of doing and over-generalizing other people who you haven’t even met.

I’m starting to get the feeling that it’s really just a code for either my first or second point anyways.

“Will beat you in Mario Kart 64”

Wow. Well, I have to hand it to whoever the first girl who ever used this in her profile was, it sure is unique and specific. However, I have seen quite a bit of girls use this. So much so that I’m starting to think that most of the one’s who have this statement listed don’t even know/haven’t ever played Mario Kart. Well, to be honest, it was quite a popular game back in the day, but in all my travels, and in all my experience as a heavy gamer, I have never come across a girl who took any game as seriously as a guy.

Now, not to fall prey to one of my previous statements in my last point and over-generalize, of course there are going to be some girls that do take gaming super seriously and are probably great at them. The problem is that so many girls are listing this on their profiles that it doesn’t statistically match with what I know to be true based on my experience.

Part of me wants to think that they’re not actually that good at Mario Kart, and they just want to connect with a guy on something that “guy’s like”, but one girl even went so far as to specifically mention on her profile that it had to be Mario Kart 64 and no other version.

Either this is just another trend that’s full of shit, or I’m really missing something here with the female Mario Kart 64 crowd.

“Not Religious / Atheist”

Ok. So you don’t go to church and don’t really consider God as a part of your life whatsoever. That’s on you. It’s an unfortunate conclusion that you have arrived at, and one that I’m sure is based on your desire to not be controlled by anything or be restricted by inconvenient rules. However, I would pose this question:

“Is this really something to organize over?”

By listing this in your profile, you’re either trying to do one of two things: connect with someone else who is an atheist, or you’re trying to take an underhanded jab at anybody who is religious.

The first one is pretty strange when you think about it. What other sport/topic/interest/cause/thing do humans ever organize over that is “not” something? For example, there are people who don’t like skiing, but are there groups of “not skiers”? People who dislike skiing so much that they organize together at groups, rallies, and make relationships over the fact that they hate skiing? No, that would be silly. If you really don’t like it that much then, since nobody is forcing you to ski, so you just don’t do it or hang around anybody that does. You don’t walk around saying how much you hate it.

Wait. Hmmm… that’s an interesting thought. Hate. Someone dislikes something that other people enjoy so much that they feel passionate about being vocal against it? I think that might qualify as a hate-group. Oh, there’s a thought for open-minded liberals who stand with Planned Parenthood right? People who are against abortions and want to defund the organization for helping women get abortions are classified as hate groups right? They like “not getting abortions” so much that they feel passionate that other people shouldn’t be involved in them either.

Sounds an awful lot like how modern atheism works. People who feel so passionate about “not religion” that they feel the need to be outspoken against it. This plays more towards my second point at the beginning that simply describing oneself as “atheist” is, often times, just trying to take a jab at the people who aren't. Like putting “not Hindu” on my profile.  Atheism isn’t a religion. It’s simply nothing. The belief that there is no higher power. The belief in nothing, if you will. There is no code of morals. There is no written scripture or manifesto from a nonexistent deity. Therefore, when it comes to atheism there isn’t much to talk about. If there isn’t anything to really define the sentiment of atheism by, then there isn’t really anything to organize over. If there isn’t anything to organize over, or any traditions to maintain, or philosophy to uphold, then it doesn’t really seem like something that is really worth being expressed as a part of your identity. Just like I don’t express the fact that I don’t like tomatoes as a part of my identity. That’s not something I would throw out there on my profile, because I’m not really defined by the fact that I don’t like tomatoes. It’s simply something that the other people would discover in a casual conversation or experience with me.

Furthermore, if the other person happens to be religious, and we went out on a date, it should be immediately obvious that we don’t share this in common and, if it were taken seriously by the religious person, then they wouldn’t ask for a second date. Even still, since religion is so important in a religious person’s life, they would most likely mention it on their profiles and, therefore, eliminate the need for you to put “atheist” on your profile.

Therefore, in the context of the above thoughts on the matter, you listing your non-religion looks a heckuva lot like you’re being hateful towards those who practice a religion. Think of it this way, it’s the same thing as putting “non-smoker”. Does this phrase not reek of anti-smoking sentiment? Of course it does. The same goes for your outspoken lack of submission to anything but yourself.

When you put things on your profile that say what you “aren’t” or “won’t accept” (much like some of these other topics I’ve mentioned here already), you come across as egotistical. Like, I’m too good to accept this thing, or I’m so confident in my ability to attract a mate that I can literally dictate to other people what they can and cannot be. I’m not at all worried about not finding a mate. I will still have plenty of suitors, so the ones that don’t fit into the mold of what I want can just take a hike.

Again: It must be nice to be able to cherry pick what you want from another person.

So guys, there are a lot of crazy things out there in the world of swipe matching. A lot of those things don’t seem to make any sense, because, well, frankly the format doesn’t make any sense. You’re set up to make snap judgments based on photographs that the users can clearly take from old stock, or at strange angles, or even just use someone else’s photos all together. Why, at all, would anybody care what was written on a 500 character profile? Well, why indeed.

I’ve started to get the feeling that these women, these… people, aren’t actually a good sample set of what’s really out there, and I think the amount of ubiquitous data (as dissected here) is pretty good proof of that. The question really is: “Where do I find the real good ones at?”

Karpetz is not alone. A quick Instagram search for the hashtag #WitchesofInstagram will garner you over 700,000 results, and many of them are selling witchy wares.

There is no one particular path of witchcraft all of these business witches follow. Some identify as Wiccan, while others ascribe to Paganism, and others still prefer the term secular witchcraft. A lot of witches dont like to label their beliefs, and instead say what sort of traditions influence them the most, such as Germanic paganism, Hoodoo, root work (folk-based witchcraft), or Brujeria (Hispanic-based witchcraft).

The products the Instagram witches sell are as vast and diverse as their spiritual paths. There are magazines curated especially for witches, tarot cards with original illustrations, herbs and oils with various protection and healing properties, amulets and pendants, and, of course, an abundance of crystals.

Whats more, there exists a community among these Instagram business witches, in which the account owners often personally know and support each other with promotions, free of charge.

Everyones pretty supportive, radical feminists, building each other up, and giving shout outs to each other, said Christy Patton, founder of the New Orleans School for Esoteric Arts and operator of the witchy-lifestyle Instagram account, @NolaEsoteric.

However, many of these self-made business witches did not start their Instagram accounts with the intention of building occult business empires. Karpetz began her account five years ago as a private space where she could post all the witchy stuff [she] was into, as well as items she was making for herself.

In the beginning it was just for me, Karpetz said of her Instagram account, which now has over 50,000 followers, in an email to Mashable. What started [the business] was a witch bottle I had created; after I posted it on Instagram people were asking where they could buy it.

A community of online activists

The Instagram witches are mostly self-taught through books, art, and the internet; Patton was actually inspired to start her school because of the lack of esoteric art teachers in New Orleans. However, most witches agree that witchcraft is, by nature and history, a solitary venture. That is why having the Instagram community is so unique.

We have become really close friends with some really amazing witches on Instagram, Patton said. We have friends all over the world.

Instagram is also used for promotions and feedback; most business witches actually sell their products on an accompanying website or Etsy store. Mashable reached out to Instagram for comment regarding its policy on promotion.

The promised benefits of the products range from personal improvement, such as making oneself more focused, to widespread good, like destroying fascism. Instagrams interface also allows customers to post a review as a comment right on the photo of whichever product is being advertised.

We all make very natural products for spiritual people because were ethically radical, said Josie Campos, Patton’s esoteric apprentice. We want change.

Campos said she noticed this radical shift in the Instagram business witch community following the 2016 U.S. presidential election. The organization W.I.T.C.H. has seen a resurgence, a sizable number are signing up to hex the patriarchy, and, as an act of protest, Patton and Campos sold a special tea they created to honor the election results.

We collaborated with another Instagram witch, @cattailapothacary, and created this tea blend called This Tea Grabs Back, Patton said. It was made of cat herbs. (Don’t worry, the tea didn’t involve actual cats, just feline-named herbs and plants like pussy willow).

Its about how we as witches and as women could resist together, Campos added. And that even though we currently have to exist within a capitalist system, we can do it ethically.

Patton believes the political climate following the election has led to a surge in witchcrafts popularity as a whole, which she says she has seen, albeit anecdotally, reflected in her own business.

Witchcraft has been a big thing because of that feeling of hopelessness, Patton said. Especially right now, now that hopelessness is more accentuated. Most people are looking for answers and looking for change, and theyll keep practicing witchcraft if it helps them feel better.

Commercialization: for better or worse

Its hard to miss the recent commercialization and popularization of witchcraft in mainstream culture. Lana Del Rey has tweeted out the best dates for spell-casting and Urban Outfitters now sells crystals (and perfume with crystals in it), spell books, and tarot cards.

It doesnt bother us if theyre just interested in that. If youre interested in the aesthetic, I hope you stay for the products, Patton said.

Patton and Campos call these people dabblers, and warned that dabbling in witchcraft is not advisable.

When youre dabbling youre not taking yourself seriously, Campos said. Its dangerous and something people shouldnt try; its not just fun, muggles, Harry Potter its a spiritual belief.

Some members of the community disagree; they do not see a danger in people trying on witchcraft for size. Sarah Telaar (Gwen Hawk on social media) who is from Germany and runs the popular Instagram account @ancient_hearts, said one of her products in particular is aimed at newcomers.

I feel like a certain range of products, like my Herb Witch Boxes that are really popular, go out to people that are new to witchcraft or want to start learning more, Telaar said via email to Mashable. Which is absolutely perfect because these products are designed as starter kits for beginners.

Not all Instagram witches, however, are okay with the appropriation of the occult as an aesthetic. Olivia McMaster, a practicing Wiccan who is active in the Instagram witch community, said she finds the idea of a witchy aesthetic irksome.

I find it disrespectful to an extent, she said in an email to Mashable. While being interested in a faith or culture is great, using our symbols and traditions for your aesthetic isnt ok. Its a culture and a tradition and something that I and other witches take seriously, and commercializing our religion is hurtful.

McMaster did contend, however, that the commercialization did have some benefits. It gets the publics attention to the truth about witchcraft, she said. Its not like American Horror Story: Coven. Were real people with an amazing and unique and diverse religion, and I wish people saw the real us, not the make-believe, Hollywood depiction of witches.

Moving forward: the future of the business witch

The movement of magic into mainstream culture, Patton said, has allowed many older witches to come out of the broom closet, and be open and proud of their spirituality.

McMaster agreed that the publics fear of witches and witchcraft has begun to dim in recent years. We can be more vocal about our beliefs nowadays, and on social media, people are seemingly more accepting, she said.

As for the future, the witches believe that, despite the current state of affairs in the world, the future is bright. Patton and Campos are even planning to open a physical store to sell their products and, presumably, advertise their wares on Instagram. They view their enterprise as more than just a store they see it, and their social media presence, as a way to shape the future.

PRESENT A DETAILED CRITICAL ANALYSIS OF A CULTURAL TEXT.

Introduction.

In this essay I am going to explore the moral concerns of eating meats and consuming animal products. I am going to look into how this image can influence your diet.

Subject.

My chosen image is title “Meat is Murder”.  The demonstration was conducted by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals).  Demonstrators acted like packed pieces of meat, the kind you see in most every supermarket, only a lot bloodier. The human meat packs were branded with stickers that read ‘Billions of Animals Are Abused and Violently Killed Because You Eat Meat’. Now doesn’t that make you feel guilty?

The PETA demonstration was conducted in Times Square, New York on the 27th July 2010.

The photographer was Timothy A Clary who works for AFP. AFP is a global news agency delivering fast, accurate, in-depth coverage of the events shaping our world from wars and conflicts to politics, sports, entertainment and the latest breakthroughs in health, science and technology.

Statement.

Whilst the image may be controversial the message is vividly clear. Meat obviously is a product of a life taken, so why should it be so shocking to consider human meat as outrageous. One can look to nature to see how the spectrum of diet ranges from herbivore to omnivore to carnivore and in some cases cannibalism. All species constantly evolve to suit their environment and in the case of humans their diet is mainly omnivore and likely to stay that way, as evolution shows that the species with the widest diets are the ones most likely to survive the longest. Although my last statement is true, there are more psychological factors to consider with human behaviour due to our superior intellect and rationale. Humans will also make choices on environmental and moral/spiritual grounds.

Summary.

This photograph was taken during a demonstration and is aimed to gain publicity by creating shocking visual impact. These images are designed to create sudden attention by not only linking human bodies to meat, but also by using young attractive female models. Nowadays images are shared speedily across the globe via social media. Creating instant shock value and novelty images substantially speeds the circulation of the campaign. Whilst these images and street scenes puts across an instant message the full extent of PETA’s is much more difficult to understand and adopt.

Interpretation and Evaluation.

PETA put on many campaigns and protests to promote animal rights both in the USA and UK/EU. PETA’s promotional style is to shock and gain maximum publicity by creating street settings in which photographs are taken by themselves and onlookers. They also display scenes of humans hung up in slaughter houses and humans on barbeques. All of which give the same shock factor. Alongside these shock tactics, PETA are a resourceful organisation which also promotes many animal welfare issues through lobbying industries to change their methods by establishing a consensus of public opinion. PETA is the largest animal rights organization in the world, with more than 5 million members and supporters. PETA is funded by donations and has charity status[1][2].

Whilst the visual impact gets the attention of the onlooker, our consumption of meat in the Western world is only slightly reducing (USA is reducing, whilst Europe is unchanged over the last decade). China is adding to meat consumption as the country’s wealth increases. [3]

The campaign aims to make meat consumption unacceptable, but converting someone to vegan is unlikely from series demonstrations as animal derived products are too engrained in human food chains and lifestyles to make the transition simple. A vegan existence is more aligned to a religion where the belief has to be extremely strong. Every aspect of human existence needs to be analysed to prevent the use of animals in everyday life.

PETA has an extremely focused ideology in that all living creatures have rights. This is applied to animals and also extends to insects. Their ideology is extreme to the point that it becomes fanatical and makes it difficult for converts to fully adopt its morals. PETA should consider a philosophy known as Gradualism. In the animal kingdom, there is a gradation in the nervous complexity, e.g. marine sponges have no neurons, and intestinal worms have approximately 300 neurons whereas humans has approximately 86 billion (Neurons are a specialized cell transmitting nerve impulses; a nerve cell). If PETA considered this scale then they may consider raising the threshold of Gradualist sentiocentrism which states that more complex interests deserve more consideration than less complex moral interests.

When studying PETA members and supporters the age range suggests that the majority are either students or under 30’s, although there is exceptions to this observations. Does this membership age range indicate a new generation’s interest in animal welfare, or does the membership continually renew with the age range? When studying PETA’s marketing, evidence shows that they target lowers age groups by new digital means[4].  It could be argued that membership declines with an increase in age as members realise the morality is too extreme and impinges too far in your lifestyle. Although they appear to lose members they may still have an impact on reducing animal consumption as they may ex-members remain vegetarians or just reduce meat consumption.

PETA may achieve better results by aiming to promote ‘meat-free’ days as a healthy alternative whilst at the same time educating the public to the morals and health benefits of meat-free diet. The breeding of animals for food is the over-riding reason to produce animals. Other animal derived products are mostly used to consume the rest of the animal to avoid waste. If PETA focused on reducing the meat demand then they are likely to reduce the by-product items as an added benefit. Another viewpoint they could use is one of environmental concern. Population growth must dictate a move more towards herbivore as meat production is extremely damaging to the environment. Livestock has to consume vast amounts of food to produce the meat as well as the harmful CO2 which is produced by the animals’ digestive system. Studies show that approximately 11kg of grain is used to produce 1kg of meat. However, meat production is becoming better in this respect and it’s now moving towards 6kg of grain for every 1kg of meat. However, this has been achieved by slaughtering the animal’s at a younger age [5].

Conclusion

Overall, The PETA “Meat is Murder” protest is extreme, however it was the approach they were going to get maximum publicity. From taking this approach they could potentially annoy people, making them do the opposite to what they say. In my opinion they come across too demanding, trying to tell people they can’t or shouldn’t eat meat. When what they should be doing is giving out advice and facts on the matter so people can make their own mind up. They are attracting the attention of people that are already steering their diets away from animal based, while scaring of the rest. Perhaps they will save more animal lives by making their promoted lifestyle less extreme.

Today I’ll show you The reality of you and your life. How you are not being yourself, how your decisions are not your, you are nothing but just a puppet who can talk. But don’t you worry, with the help of the four agreements you can set to be free. This book has helped many, it’s an ancient wisdom which teaches you how to be free and be happy. Excited? So here it is, the four agreements summary

The Toltec:

THOUSANDS OF YEARS AGO, THE TOLTEC WERE known as the men & women of knowledge. Toltec were artists, scientists who came together as masters & students preserve and share spiritual knowledge.

To prevent the misuse of Toltec knowledge, masters decided to live obscurity. Fortunately, Toltec knowledge passed within generations of masters. The author Don Miguel Ruiz is one of the masters who share the Toltec Knowledge through “The Four Agreements” book.

Domestication and the Dream of the Planet:

You dream when you are sleeping, you dream when you are awake in fact you are dreaming right now. Dream of the planet is a collective dream of small, personal individual dreams. The dream of the planet includes all of society’s rules, its beliefs, its laws, its religions, etc.

The people before you taught you how to dream the way society dreams. The outside dream used Mom and Dad, the schools, and religion to teach you how to dream.

It was all there already, all that knowledge, all those rules, and concepts about how to behave in the world. You never had the opportunity to choose what to believe or what not to believe. You didn’t even choose our own name.

You just agreed or disagreed with whatever information passed from the dream of the planet via other humans and stored it as agreements. If you agree, you believe it and soon you have faith in it. That’s how children learn, they believe everything adult says.

You may have rebelled against those beliefs, but you were not strong enough to win the rebellion. The result is you surrender to the beliefs with your agreement. This is called Domestication.

You are domesticated the same way we domesticate a dog, with a system of punishment and rewards. You became afraid of being punished and also afraid of not receiving the reward.

Reward feels good, and You keep doing what others want you to do in order to get the reward. You become a copy of Mamma’s beliefs, Daddy’s beliefs, society’s beliefs, and religion’s beliefs. Domestication is so strong that at a certain point you became your own domesticator.

The belief system is like a Book of Law that rules your mind. You base all of your judgments according to the Book of Law. There are parts of us, the inner Judge who judge everything we do and don’t do, and the victim who always self-pity. And this is all based on a belief system that we never chose to believe.

You need a great deal of courage to challenge your own beliefs. Ninety-five percent of the beliefs you have stored in our minds are nothing but lies, and you suffer because you believe all these lies.

Just being yourself is the biggest fear you have. You have learned to live your life trying to satisfy other people’s demands. You punish yourself endlessly for not being what you believe you should be.

You have made thousands of agreements with others, but most important agreements are which you’ll make with yourself.

In these agreements you say, “This is what I am. This is what I believe. I can do certain things, and some things I cannot do. This is reality, that is fantasy; this is possible, that is impossible.”

Now you must be wondering what are the four agreements? So let’s move on to them.

1st Agreement; Be Impeccable With Your Word:

I know it sounds very simple but it’s very powerful. Sometimes words are more powerful than weapons. Words are the most powerful tool you have.

Your dreams, beliefs, feelings all are expressed through words. But just like a two-edged sword, words can create a positive or negative impact.

Hitler manipulated the whole country with words, based on fear-generated beliefs and agreements. Your mind is like the fertile ground, you plant a seed, thought & it grows irrespective if it’s bad or good.

Words are like spells & you cast spells all the time with your opinions.

Sometimes people( Parents, siblings, friends, teachers) give opinions about you without thinking. You believe these opinions & live in fear over these opinions, like not being good at swimming, or sports, or writing. It doesn’t matter how good you are, you’ll believe you are not.

Self rejection is the biggest sin you commit.

Being Impeccable means taking responsibility for your actions, without judging or blaming yourself. It means to use your energy in the direction of truth and love for yourself.

Unfortunately, mostly you use the word to curse, to blame, to find guilt, to destroy. This misuse of spell/ words is black magic. Cause of this you and I create fear and doubts in each other and pull each other down.

Whenever you hear an opinion and believe it, you make an agreement, and it becomes part of your belief system.

The only thing that can break a spell is to make a new agreement based on truth. The truth is the most important part of being impeccable with your word. Only truth can set you free.

Gossiping is a new form of communication nowadays. it makes you feel better to see someone else feel as badly as you do(agree or not it’s true). It’s like a computer virus, every single time others gossip to you, they insert a computer virus into your mind, causing you to think a little less clearly every time. So stay away from such a gossip group.

You also talk to yourself constantly and often you say negative things. Remember one thing Your opinion or others opinion is nothing but just a point of view. It is not necessarily true. So don’t take it seriously.

How much you love yourself and how you feel about yourself are directly proportionate to the quality and integrity of your word.

This first agreement will change the kind of seeds your mind is fertile for. Tell yourself how wonderful you are, how great you are. Tell yourself how much you love yourself. Use the word to break all those teeny, tiny agreements that make you suffer.

2nd Agreement; Don’t Take Anything Personally:

During the domestication, you learn to take things personally.

Taking things personally is nothing but a sign of selfishness, Cause you think everything is about you. You assume that others know everything about you, your world, and you try to impose your world on their world.

Whatever people say about you, good or bad it’s just an opinion, point of view which came from the programming they received during domestication.

When you take things personally, then you feel offended, and your reaction is to defend your beliefs and create conflicts. You give your opinions to defend yourself & prove others wrong.

No matter what, Others are going to have their own opinion according to their belief system, so nothing they think about you is really about you, but it is about them.

Even the opinions you have about yourself are not necessarily true. Therefore don’t even take your own thoughts personally.

Your mind has the ability to think to speak to itself and listen. There are thousands of agreements, & beliefs stored in your mind. Some part of the mind has objections to certain thoughts and actions, and another part supports the actions of the opposing thoughts. It is up to you what you choose to believe.

By taking things personally you set yourself up to suffer for nothing. You have to trust yourself and choose to believe or not to believe what someone says to you.

When you really see other people as they are without taking it personally, you can never be hurt by what they say or do.

When you make it a strong habit not to take anything personally, you avoid many upsets in your life. Your anger, jealousy, and envy will disappear, and even your sadness will simply disappear if you don’t take things personally.

3rd Agreement; Don’t Make Assumptions:

Agree or not, You love to make assumptions about everything and that’s not the problem, the problem is you believe they are true.

You assume what others thinking, doing, etc then you misunderstood, you create chaos, take things personally, try to defend your assumptions & end up creating a whole big drama for nothing.

You only see what you wanna see & hear what you want to hear.

Literally, just cause you don’t understand something, you make up things in your mind which has nothing to do with reality. That’s why It is always better to ask questions than to make an assumption because assumptions set you up for suffering.

Example: if a cute girl smiles at a guy, the assumptions that guy can make are unlimited & it changes person to person.

If you are in a relationship, often you assume that your partner knows what you think & what you want. If they don’t do according to what you assumed then you feel disappointed & say, “You should have known”. Which is very toxic for any relationship.

Often when you go into a relationship with someone you like, you have to justify why you like that person. You don’t need to justify love; it is there or not there. Real love is accepting other people the way they are without trying to change them.

Making assumptions in relationships leads to a lot of fights, a lot of difficulties, a lot of misunderstandings with people you supposedly love.

It’s very interesting how the mind works. It wants answers & explanation for everything & there are millions of questions in your mind which need to be answered. The mind doesn’t care if the answer is true or not, that why you make assumptions.

You make all sorts of assumptions because you don’t have the courage to ask questions. You make assumptions about yourself, You overestimate or underestimate yourself because you haven’t taken the time to ask yourself questions and to answer them.

The day you stop making assumptions with your partner and eventually with everyone else in your life. Your way of communicating will change completely, and your relationships will no longer suffer from conflicts created by mistaken assumptions.

So how you avoid making assumptions? By knowing the truth. To know the truth have the courage to ask questions, keep the conversation clear.

Understanding the importance of these agreements is not enough. Information or an idea is merely the seed in your mind. What will really make the difference is, action.

4th Agreement; Always Do Your Best:

No matter what but always do your best, nothing more nothing less. But keep in mind your best will never be the same from one moment to another. Your best will depend on whether you are feeling wonderful and happy, or upset, angry, or jealous.

when you try too hard to do more than your best & don’t get expected results you feel disappointed, unsatisfied. While if you do less than your best, you judge yourself, feel guilty & regret it.

Don’t sacrifice your joy, your life by spending time doing more than your best. You are also supposed to live, be happy, enjoy.

You do your best because you want to do it, not because you have to do it, not because you are trying to please the inner Judge, and not because you are trying to please other people. If you or doing something just cause you have to, then you are not gonna give your best.

I am sure you have many great ideas in your mind, but you are not willing to take action. Actions are how we accept life & inactions are how we deny life. Without actions, you won’t get any results neither rewards.

Example: Forest Gump(movie), He was richly rewarded without expecting any reward at all. Taking action is being alive. It’s taking the risk to go out and express your dream. If you haven’t seen the movie, do yourself a favor and watch it.

Let go of the past and live in the present. You are born with the right to be happy. Say yes or no whatever you want to say, you have the right to be you and You can only be you when you do your best.

By doing your best, the habits of misusing your word, taking things personally, and making assumptions will become weaker and less frequent with time.

Action makes the difference, be human. Respect your body, enjoy your body, love your body, feed, clean, and heal your body.

If you stick to these agreements then soon you’ll be living a happier life. You just have to accept, adapt the four agreements in your life. But it won’t be easy to keep all four agreements, the path will be full of obstacles. So if you fail, do not judge. Stand up and make the agreement again. If you break an agreement, begin again tomorrow, and again the next day.

Conclusion:

You are living in a dream, you don’t know who you really are.

The life you living, the values you have, you didn’t choose anything. You didn’t even choose our own name.

Your words are powerful, use them carefully.

What other people think of you is just an opinion based on the belief system they received during domestication.

It’s short just read it!!!! This is one of my favorite books now. I extremely enjoyed and finished in 1 day. Writing is easy to understand and every concept is explained with the help of beautiful examples. Don Miguel Ruiz shows a mirror to you with the help of” The Four Agreements” book. It was really hard to summarize this book cause each & every line was so true and relatable, still, I tried to include as much as I can in The Four Agreements summary.
