Titled on said line. This was a McCoy whump that thanks to SOMEONE @ncc1701ohno has become an entire universe.

But basically, it follows the first movie, except instead of being with Uhura, Spock's with Bones. And things get a little pon-farry when Vulcan gets blown up. And Bones isn't always the best adult. And Spock doesn't know how to communicate. And Jim doesn't know how to give up.

We named the 'verse the Three Body Problem, which is just insanely apt for a thousand reasons.

My biggest tip for fanfic writers is this: if you get a character's mannerisms and speech pattern down, you can make them do pretty much whatever you want and it'll feel in character.

Logic: Characters, just like real people, are mallable. There is typically very little that's so truly, heinously out of character that you absolutely cannot make it work under any circumstance. In addition, most fans are also willing to accept characterization stretches if it makes the fic work. Yeah, we all know the villain and the hero wouldn't cuddle for warmth in canon. But if they did do that, how would they do it?

What counts is often not so much 'would the character do this?' and more 'if the character did do this, how would they do it?' If you get 'how' part right, your readers will probably be willing to buy the rest, because it will still feel like their favourite character. But if it doesn't feel like the character anymore, why are they even reading the fic?

Worry less about whether a character would do something, and more about how they'd sound while doing it.

I think cis people should also be their gender of choice. Like, if you're a man, you should get to really enjoy being a man- have fun with it! If you're a woman, take the parts of womanhood that really deeply make you happy. If being a little androgynous or ambiguous or hidden is the part that really makes you happy, you don't have to be trans for that. If you wanna lean really hard into being femme or masc- do it! You have one life in your body, do what makes you happy. Ditch the stuff you don't like.

My sinister queer agenda is I think that everyone should be the gender they like in the way they like it.

It’s a snow day over here for once!

It’s so rare for us to get snow!

I went outside and jumped around (the snow was deep and my feet sank down!!) and had a lot of fun! It reminded me of how some animals are so short in snow so they have to jump around to get places!

I made some jasmine tea and had my mom, who doesn’t really like tea, try some turmeric and ginger tea and she liked it! We also broke out some graham crackers to have with the tea lol.

Anyway the point of this is that im having fun just relaxing, watching One Piece and working on a cross stitch project!

a big lesson for me was learning that most things are not as fragile as I’d believed. missing a class, or turning in a bad assignment, won’t instantly destroy your professor’s opinion of you. accidentally saying something harsh won’t make your friend want to end the friendship. it takes work to repair these things - it takes effort and research and sometimes a sincere apology - but you can do that because they’re not irreparably broken. what you’ve worked to build, in academia and in relationships and in life, is stronger and more enduring that your mind may teach you to believe. don’t let imagined fragility lead you to giving up

I am not saying that zuko is sokkas substitute for kya. or they look in any way similar! The whole concept here is that something was happening at the moment, be it how they were laying in bed, how the hair pooled over the pillow, or how sokka was able to hold onto it. It just brought sokka back. It triggered a memory, and suddenly he relived a brief memory. Making him suddenly miss his mother again. hope you enjoy!
