Additional notes:

Chronically clumsy since childhood, often underestimating their own strength. Training in traditional dance and practicing presenting feminine allowed them to gain better control over this and overcome the clumsiness, though sometimes they still slip up.

Never felt happy in presenting solely masculine, and felt they would never be a perfect heir or a perfect son to their parents. Exploring their gender and understanding who they are did bring them joy, but at the cost of being disowned by their parents and all but one of their sisters.

Taken in by their youngest Uncle Wei Gang, and have been learning the duties of leadership since then. They also consider their younger cousin Ren like a brother, often calling him "Ren-dìdì."

Wishes to expand Bàoyìng's connections with peoples beyond the Land of the Red Dragon, without having the Imperial Capital monitoring and controlling the territory's every move.

Extroverted and very people-oriented.

Visits NRC frequently to check on Ren and interact with the students there.

Carries numerous silk fans of varying design, each with at least one (if not more) magestones set in the frame, allowing them to be used as magical conduits and mage weapons.

In a fic I wrote (which I may post later,) Xinyi is finally acknowledged as being ready to truly be chanyu when they are visited by a qilin, who offers them a single wish and shares a secret with them.

History of bad past romances, with partners often rejecting them upon learning they aren't AFAB. As a result this has led to Xinyi rarely using their UM these days, and they are hesitant about romance...but there IS a guy ready to heal their heart. (see below)

I slip in and out of hibernation to bring you concept art for that POTO RPG-maker game I posted about the other day. I think imma call it Phantom of the Mansion (slight reference to Hitman). It's gonna be an alternative universe.

Premise (so far): 1880. Poor Christine Daae has just lost her father. The kind Giry-family picks her off the street and takes her into their home. Wanting to pay them back for their efforts, Christine goes job searching. Most people won't take her, except for this one group. Spiritualists, they call themselves. They communicate with spirits and help them 'move on' or so they say. Christine joins the Spiritualists, becoming a 'Spirit Sleuth' and tries to learn their ways. She is sent to Château Mortel - a mansion notorious for its nightly organ music and its mysterious spirit; a spirit that tortures those who dare enter his home.

Vieillir, c'est chiant.

J’aurais pu dire :

vieillir, c’est désolant,

c’est insupportable,

c’est douloureux, c’est horrible,

c’est déprimant, c’est mortel.

Mais j’ai préféré « chiant » parce que c’est un adjectif vigoureux qui ne fait pas triste.

Vieillir, c’est chiant parce qu’on ne sait pas quand ça a commencé et l’on sait encore moins quand ça finira.

Non, ce n’est pas vrai qu’on vieillit dès notre naissance.

On a été longtemps si frais, si jeune, si appétissant.

On était bien dans sa peau.

On se sentait conquérant. Invulnérable.

La vie devant soi. Même à cinquante ans, c’était encore très bien. Même à soixante.

Si, si, je vous assure, j’étais encore plein de muscles, de projets, de désirs, de flamme.

Je le suis toujours, mais voilà, entre-temps –

mais quand – j’ai vu le regard des jeunes, des hommes et des femmes dans la force de l’âge qu’ils ne me considéraient plus comme un des leurs, même apparenté, même à la marge.

J’ai lu dans leurs yeux qu’ils n’auraient plus jamais d’indulgence à mon égard.

Qu’ils seraient polis, déférents, louangeurs, mais impitoyables. Sans m’en rendre compte, j’étais entré dans "l’apartheid de l’âge".

Le plus terrible est venu des dédicaces des écrivains, surtout des débutants.

J’ai arrêté de la taquiner, je l’ai remerciée de son geste généreux et l’ai accompagnée à la station où elle descendait pour lui offrir un verre.

Lutter contre le vieillissement c’est, dans la mesure du possible, Ne renoncer à rien.

Ni au travail, ni aux voyages,

Ni aux spectacles, ni aux livres,

Ni à la gourmandise, ni à l’amour, ni au rêve.

Rêver, c’est se souvenir tant qu’à faire, des heures exquises. C’est penser aux jolis rendez-vous qui nous attendent.

C’est laisser son esprit vagabonder entre le désir et l’utopie.

J’aimerais mourir, rêveur, dans un fauteuil en écoutant

Mais Mozart et moi ne sommes pas pressés. Nous allons prendre notre temps.

Avec l’âge le temps passe, soit trop vite, soit trop lentement. Nous ignorons à combien se monte encore notre capital.

En années? En mois? En jours?

Non, il ne faut pas considérer le temps qui nous reste comme un capital.

Mais comme un usufruit dont, tant que nous en sommes capables, il faut jouir sans modération.

Après nous, le déluge? Non, Mozart.

La notion de frontière est indissociable de celle de civilisation. La frontière, c’est la souveraineté et la souveraineté, c’est l’outil de la destinée. Y renoncer, c’est faire de la nation un pays, voire une province, ou même une simple région. Le projet mondialiste ne s’est jamais exprimé aussi clairement qu’aujourd’hui, qui fait mesurer à chacun les conséquences catastrophiques du traité de Maastricht. Ouvrir les territoires de notre vieux continent à toutes les marchandises et à tous les colons, c'est renoncer à notre identité, c’est à dire à notre Histoire, à notre culture, à notre art de vivre.  Plus avant, le communisme a tenté cette aventure en brandissant l’image sacrée du Prolétaire, unique, universel et dictateur par essence. Il a cerclé les nations de pseudos frontières et les a décorées de constitutions de papier. Toutes les contestations conduisaient au néant barbelé. Dans le même esprit, le nazisme, au prétexte d’un reich en expansion perpétuelle, a tenté l’aventure de l’Histoire en portant la race en étendard – concept ô combien fumeux et fragile. Pour finir, le Juif vénal et le Mongol bestial ont eu raison des rêves absurdes d’une germanité illusoire. Les Américains ont eu la bonne idée de réunir ces deux fléaux en une seule organisation, l’Union Européenne, pauvre serpillère tissée et passée aux mains d'une Allemagne dominatrice, au détriment d’une vassalité hétérogène ayant à subir la transmutation du marxisme en “néo-féminisme”, en “genrisme”, en “wokisme”... en socialisme pour tout dire. La frontière est également mentale et protège des fléaux modernes en gardant vive la flamme de la tradition. Elle oppose la réflexion et le temps long à la fulgurance des ambitions ravageuses, les cordages spirituels à la déliquescence des mœurs, l’éthique virile à l’immoralité libérale. Cette frontière-là n’est pas moins menacée que la vieille borne en pierre qui séparait notre monde du reste du monde. La franchir, c’était partir à l’aventure. Description: Starts off with Cristina falling for Mark while he's already dating Kieran, turning into a love triangle. Kieran and Mark fell in love while part of the Wild Hunt but eventually broke it off when Kieran accidentally betrayed Mark. Cristina becomes friends with Kieran, and the two of them fall in love, soon all three of them get together in a polyamorous relationship. Kieran became king and couldn’t have any mortal consorts while living in Faerie so they’re bending the rules and live together in a little cottage that is neither on mortal nor fey land. 

Sofiane/Victor/Luisa (Mortel)

Status: Implied

Description: Luisa and Victor are in a canon relationship, Sofiane is very very cool with being their third wheel. They are shown being incredibly intimate and tender with each other throughout the series, especially by the end. In a meta context, Sofiane's relationship with another character ends as he gets closer to Luisa and Victor.
