Music that i vibe to my imagination, a short list. (Part 1)

This is just a list of music tracks that i vibe to my imagination in unique ways that i can't describe somewhat. Note: All of the music barely got any views at all on Youtube so might as well attract an audience of people who vibe the same way as i do.

First off, we have Chip Furnace's Morphing Bytes Album with one of their tracks, Mischievous Null by Goodblue77:

This track while playing it gives me a scene of high security, high pressure military complex in space while you're sneaking away as much without raising too much alarm. Trying to hack into the system terminal without anyone looking with this track playing in the background makes a good fit for this situation.

Or you're in the shady area where there's a lot of merchants selling contraband in the back alleyways and you as a detective are finding out their main supply chain without raising suspicion of the overseers of the criminal mastermind system. Pretty cyberpunk-ish i know. ----

Secondly, we have the same album from Chip Furnace's Morphing Bytes album with another one of their tracks, Scandalous Practices by Goodblue77:

This gives me some murder mystery cyberpunk vibes as you're trying to trace a lead into who kidnapped the head officer of a military faction and attempted to cause a war to break out between two factions on earth and on the moon and you end up finding more evidence that leads into a huge scandal in multiple corporate dealings behind the scenes. Hugely fitting track towards any kind of detective work. Also fits a sense of stealth so there's your fitting track for Metal Gear fans out there.

Thirdly we have a new album from Chip Furnace's Morphing Bytes (Corrupt & Chill 2) with one of the tracks, Sleep Deprived by Goodblue77:

This one gave me some Lain inspiration mixed in with Adult Swim/Toonami vibes that i can't shake it off no matter what. This gave me early 2000s Adult Swim 12am midnight bumper-esque weird ass shit that sticks to your mind no matter how much you tried forgetting it'll always stays with you. The bumper in question goes as follows: A computer room littered with monitors, wires, PC chassis littered messily all over this dimly lit room in the middle of the night. There's some semblance of human life, indicated by this aqua-teal glow at the center of the room containing a live female human with long black hair sleeping in the clear cylinder. There is a big wire connected to her body, and another one attached to her head similar to the one scene from (1995) Ghost in the Shell, for some reason all covered in black wraps that cover most of her body. All you can hear from this strange room are rapid typing noises, the computer hard drive writing mysterious data on it, machines working in the background, water noises from the cylinder, breathing sounds before fading to black with the [adult swim] logo. Complete with the text as it ends the bumper: "Let's all love each other again." This Adult Swim bumper has only aired once during February 2002 at Valentines Day. People who stayed up during midnight can hear a very obscure unique music track during 2 full minutes of the bumper, while having odd visuals that resemble a fusion of anime artstyles resembling a mix of Lain and Ghost in the Shell.

It only was considered to be lost media until a youtube video of it showed up in the year 2009 titled, "Adult Swim Weirdest Midnight Bumper - Valentine's Stasis". It's a VHS recording in high quality showing what the bumper is like before it was never aired again until February 2019 where the same bumper aired not once, but several times at random during midnight hours. Then after popular demand, Adult Swim released a full HD remaster on Youtube called, "Valentine's Stasis (2002)". This bumper got the love it deserved and countless fan art was made because of it. Now that is what i can describe the bumper in my imagination with this music. This has vibes of Lain, Ghost in the Shell, and Adult Swim in there. Plus with the air of Lost Media to make it all worthwhile to listen to.

Yeah, despite being bizarrely out of place, everyone I know who's seen foodfight completely omits these mosquito-morphs and their "deservative" from their memory. Even the narrator in the trailer doesn't know WTF they are. However, regardless of the source material, their design is legitimately cool and deserved some appreciation.

Last year I wrote a story about a streamer who shrinks based on chat donations. I meant it as a one shot, but guys…. GUYSSSSS.

I think about this story ‘s universe a lot. I have lore notes just collecting dust and I need to share it or I might go absolutely mad XD Made these visuals charts to get the basics across but if you’re interested in my lore and semantic ramblings, feel free to read below the cut.

Consider this my unofficial pitch bible for Down Played.

General premise: Monica Diaz is Twitch streamer with steadily growing fan base. Her tag is MiniMushroom and her aesthetic is cottage core. She loves all things magical and tiny, especially toadstool mushrooms, that’s the image most associated with her “brand.” She’s approached by a mysterious benefactor who has developed technology specifically for Monica to test and utilize for her streams. It’s called Byte-Syzed Tech and it connects to a user’s twitch stream and based on the user’s preferences, gives the audience the ability to change the user’s height. The one shot I wrote takes place during Monica’s first live use of Byte-Syzed tech on stream. If I were to develop this into a full story I’d probably go back a bit and start around when Monica is first approached about using Byte-Syzed tech then continue to follow Monica adjusting to using Byte-Syzed more often. How she deals with the size change on camera, off camera, how her social and personal life are affected, all that good stuff. I think it would like a slice of life feel good kinda story.

Characters:

- Monica - Main character and primary user of Byte-Syzed tech. Surprisingly enough, she’s actually a law school grad who probably would have put her degree to use if she didn’t accidentally gain a massive following on twitch. Funny how life works out. She stands at 6’4 and always was fascinated with the idea of being small (Basically, she’s a g/t nerd who doesn’t know what g/t is) so being gifted Byte-Syzed and being able to use it on stream is kinda a dream come true.

- Kim - Monica’s girlfriend, roommate, and stream moderator. Kim and Monica were high school sweethearts but drifted apart in college due to personal matters in Kim’s life including having to drop out of college. Kim and Monica rekindled their relationship a few years later and Kim cites Monica and her encouragement as a big reason why she’s been able to get her life back together. She’s currently back in college working on getting her degree in Mathematics.

- The Twitch Team- Moni hosts solo streams but also very often collabs with three of her online friends. Ariel (@Lifeisthebubbles), a Vtuber who is the only one Moni has met in person. Corey (@McDonuts) an NB asmrist on youtube who started streaming games for fun. And Phin (@UrguyPhin) Corey's bf and the competitive gamer of the four. All three of them were streaming with Monica when she first used Byte-Syzed and have since gotten used to pausing their games so an ever shrinking Monica can adjust her set up.

- The Benefactors- Keeping their (Plural, there are two of them) exact identity to myself for the time being, but basically they’re mad scientists with the best intentions. Their antics have garnered attention across the internet as they have created and gifted inventions to up and coming online creators that seem to defy all laws of physics. Anti Gravity chambers, a literal money tree, a mask the morphs the wearer’s face, and now the Byte-Syzed size changing tech. Despite their inventions going viral, their identities have remained hidden. So what is their deal? They’re just big fans of these creators and for lack of drawing skills have gifted them weird inventions instead. Nerds… Due to the nature of Byte-Syzed and the possible effects it can have on the human body, Monica and Kim remain in close contact with them.

How Byte-Syzed Works in Universe: This I wrote tons of notes about when I first thought of the idea. Byte-Syzed can be divided into three key components; The program, the arm band monitor, and the sync suit.

The Program is installed on the user’s computer and connects directly to the arm band monitor and sync suit. The program has user friendly set up that allows the user to input the direction of height change (Shrink or Grow), The minimum or maximum height change, How height change occurs (By views, chat commands, donations, etc.), and rate of height change (How much height is gained or lost with each instance of viewer interaction.) EX: If height is based on donations, the user can set it up so they lose 1 inch for every 10 dollars donated. They can set the minimum height to 6 inches, so once they’ve received enough donations that they have shrunk down to 6 inches, Byte-Syzed will hold at that height. More donations may come in after, but the height will remain at 6 inches for the duration of the stream.)

The Arm Band Monitor, is the device the physically changes the user’s height after connecting to the Byte-Syzed Program. It also monitors and display’s the user’s current height and vitals. All data collected from the arm band will then be saved and can be referenced later if the band is connected to the computer. The arm band must be kept on at all times during active use and active reset of Byte-Syzed. Active use is the time in which Byte-Syzed is being used in a stream and the user’s height is actively changing. Active reset refers to time after the stream has ended and the user is either set at their new current height or in the process of returning to their normal height. After a stream has ended the user will remain at their changed height until they press the reset button on the monitor. Once the reset button is active, the user will return to their normal height at 1.5 times the amount of time it took to change to their current changed height. EX: A user has finished a stream that was 4 hours. They hit the reset button which will return them to normal over the course of 6 hours. (4x1.5=6) This only applies for time Byte-Syzed was in use, not how long a size change occurred. EX: If the user’s stream was 4 hours, but they reached their minimum height in 3 hours, the reset function will account for the 4 hours the stream lasted. This is a safety procedure to reduce stress on the user’s body. Note: If the reset button is not pressed, the user will remain at their changed height for a period of 12 hours. After 12 hours, the reset function will kick in automatically.

The Synchronized Suit or Sync Suit is directly connected to the Byte-Syzed program and will grow and shrink with the user at the same rate as the user. Normal clothing can be worn above it but they will not change size with the user, only the sync suit. The sync suit Monica received came with the suit, shoes, and a headset with a built in microphone to keep audio input even over the course of her size changing. More sync suits are in the process of being designed and produced, with the goal of making sync suits that resemble everyday clothing like t shirts or skirts.

Fun Story Ideas:

- Origin story. How Monica met the benefactors and was gifted Byte-Syzed, her and Kim’s gripes about using it, actually going through with it and the pros and cons she noticed, the end of her first size changing stream and dealing with being tiny in her own room and her girlfriend’s hands. Etc etc

- Monica finished a late night stream using byte Syzed and forgets to press reset when she goes to sleep so instead of growing back over the course of the night she wakes up at her tiny size. After realizing her mistake she begins the growth process but now has to do it while attempting to do her regular day time activities.

- Monica is approached by a doll company to collaborate on a new doll based on her, only issue, their studio is several hours away and they want her to model at both her full height and at the height of the dolls. After some consideration Monica and Kim decide to take a road trip to the studio and use Byte Syzed at the studio under Kim’s careful supervision. What could go wrong?

- Months have passed and Kim and Monica have grown well adjusted to the major size difference between them after Monica finishes a byte syze stream, however curiosity has gotten the best of her and Kim wonders what it would be like to be the tiny one for a change.

Fear, Loathing, and Meat Puppets in the Cyberpunk Neon Glow: Is This the Natural Evolution of Dark Patterns?

The term encapsulates beings devoid of free will, their autonomy hijacked by nefarious puppeteers through the tendrils of technology. As we navigate through the entangled webs of our digital era, the eerie parallels between the cyberpunk meat puppet and the real-world menace of "dark patterns" emerge from the shadows, sending ripples of disquiet through the techno-societal landscape.

The term "meat puppet" has been etched into the cyberpunk lexicon through various mediums, painting a dire picture of a future where the essence of humanity is threatened by the encroachment of digital dominion. In the seminal work "Neuromancer" by William Gibson, and the cerebral intrigues of "Snow Crash" by Neal Stephenson, we delve into worlds where the human mind and body can be hacked, manipulated, rendering individuals as mere vessels for external control.

Mirroring this, the concept of dark patterns in digital design is a rudimentary step towards a meat puppet reality. Dark patterns are deceitful design elements that steer users into making unintended decisions, subtly commandeering their online behavior. The idea reflects a Snow Crash-esque narrative where memes or digital viruses infiltrate cognition, turning individuals into conduits for certain ideas or actions.

The silver screen, with movies like "Ghost in the Shell", and the pixelated realms of "Cyberpunk 2077", echo these themes, exploring the grim nexus between human autonomy and digital control. They hint at a world where the sinister use of technology can usurp human agency, paving the way for a meat puppet society.

Series like "Black Mirror" and "Altered Carbon" extend this narrative, portraying futures where the sanctity of human consciousness is at peril, where dark patterns could morph into more overt forms of control, pushing humanity closer to the edge of meat puppetry.

As our real-world society gallops towards a future shimmering with digital promise, the shadows of dark patterns stretch long and ominous. The proliferation of manipulative design in online platforms, coupled with the viral spread of memes molding public opinion, reflects the cyberpunk portrayal of a world teetering on the brink of meat puppetry.

The dance between dark patterns and meat puppetry isn’t just a fictional fear, but a cautionary narrative urging us to scrutinize the ethical dimensions of our digital interactions. The advancements in AI, neural interfacing, and the ubiquitous data harvesting are both a boon and a bane, holding the potential to either elevate or erode our human agency.

The journey from dark patterns to a meat puppet reality may still be unfolding, but the cyberpunk genre serves as a grim compass, cautioning against a future where the strings of puppetry are woven with each click, each shared byte of data, each meme that burrows into the collective psyche.

As we hurtle through the cybernetic frontier, the tales of meat puppetry intertwined with the menace of dark patterns serve as a stark reminder of the ethical quagmires awaiting us. The cyberpunk neon glow, while entrancing, casts long, dark shadows, urging us to tread wisely lest we morph into the very meat puppets we fear, our strings pulled by the dark patterns lurking in the digital alleyways.

Power Rangers Cyber Warriors

A group of scientists has made an amazing discovery! The existence of an entire parallel plane! This Cyber Plane is made of data and code and reaches all around the planet and even beyond! Following this discovery the scientists create a way to turn matter into data and data into matter in order to traverse to the Cyber Plane. They use this to create avatar forms for themselves in which to better traverse the Cyber Plane. However after they enter they are betrayed by one of their own named Jeffrey who traps them within. Fortunately the scientists had already created five Cyber Cycles to help explore the Cyber Plane. Using the cycles they head out to gather supplies in order to repair their machine and return home. Along the way they are attacked by sentient viruses known as Virons and are forced to utilize their avatar forms to defend themselves. Soon the portal is repaired allowing the scientists to return home. However in their absence Jeffrey raided their lab and stole most of the data. Now calling himself the Web Warlord, Jeffrey uses what he has learned about the Cyber Plane to unleash Data Demons to make the world cower before him. The scientists must now use their technology and knowledge to fight back on the Cyber Plane and in the Material World as the Power Rangers Cyber Warriors!

The Warrior with the Slashing Blade! Red Cyber Ranger! Tyler Rose- The lead scientist of the project, it was his research that resulted in the discovery of the Cyber Plane and how to transfer between the planes. He finds himself enjoying fighting more than he expected. When morphed he can channel energy into his blade. Eventually the dreaded Terror Bytes are unleashed who hide a devastating secret, they cannot be destroyed, any attempt simply causes them to reform. However there is said to be a weapon hidden in the Cyber Plane capable of destroying them. Tyler heads to find it alone so as to not attract attention. On his way he encounters a small Cyberbird who joins him. Eventually the pair encounter a Terror Byte. As the battle rages on Tyler tells the Cyberbird to flee and save themselves. This convinces the bird as it glows bright gold and grows in size. The Cyberbird reveals that they are the weapon he seeks and that he just proved himself worthy of its gift. By attaching to his blaster the Cyberbird grants Tyler a golden set of armor and the power to destroy the Terror Bytes. Face Claim: Dallas Liu

The Warrior with the Savage Might! Blue Cyber Ranger! Aaron Connors- Friendly and fun loving. However if you hurt his friends you’ll taste his wrath. When morphed he gains incredible strength. Face Claim: Ben Schwartz

The Warrior with the Striking Spikes! Yellow Cyber Ranger! Brianna Collins- The stabilizing mind in the team. She tends to pull Tyler back when his ideas get beyond his means. When morphed she wields a spiked club. Face Claim: Blu Hunt

The Warrior with the Sonic Howl! Black Cyber Ranger! Bryan Jameson- Arrogant and egotistical. He does care about the others but will never admit it freely. When morphed he can unleash a sonic blast. Face Claim: Bobby Moynihan

The Warrior with the Soaring Wings! Pink Cyber Ranger! Raja Sinclair- Curious and dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge. He’s always learning and exploring new subjects. When morphed he gains wings. Face Claim: Danny Pudi

The Warrior with the Burning Spear! Gold Cyber Ranger! The Warrior with the Shocking Ax! Silver Cyber Ranger! Colin Thomas- A scientist who worked on the project until he discovered Jeffrey’s plans at which point Jeffrey sent him to the Cyber Plane with a prototype of the portal. Trapped for months he managed to create two Avatar Forms for himself, Gold and Silver. He finds that while using Silver his temper is unleashed and he can barely control himself. Eventually he manages to escape back to the material plane and joins the other Rangers for a shot at revenge against the Web Warlord. Face Claim: Logan Lerman

The Warrior with the Tearing Jaws! Purple Cyber Ranger! Jessica Bethany (JB) Steele- Daughter of Ryan Steele of the VR Troopers, she is studying at an university in London when she finds out about the Cyber Rangers and their discovery of the Cyber Plane. Believing them to be exploiting and stealing credit for her grandfather’s creation she uses her father’s tech to create an Avatar Form and access the Cyber Plane. She attacks the rangers to try and get them to confess to stealing her grandfather’s work but she does help fight monsters believing that the public shouldn’t suffer because of her grudge. Eventually she learns that Tyler Steele didn’t create the Virtual World but merely discovered it meaning the Rangers are innocent of stealing his work. Humbled she joins them in defending both planes. Face Claim: Jacqueline Scislowski Cyber Cycles: Each Ranger has their own personal Cyber Cycle for use in both planes. Cyber Glasses: Due to its composition the Cyber Plane isn’t fully visible to human eyes so the Rangers create the Cyber Glasses allowing them to see the Cyber Plane fully. In the Material Plane they can be used to detect breaches and track Data Demons. The Cyberbird can combine with the Cyber Warrior Megazord to form the Cyberbird Warrior Megazord Cyberbird- Armor spear and shield The Shark Cyberzord can form a solo megazord armed with a blade. All eight Cyberzords and the Cyberbird can combine to form the Cyber Ultrazord. Once the mask manifests in the Material Plane it will attach itself to the first person it comes into contact with turning them into a Data Demon*. This monster can command the Virons.

The Guardian Programs are a trio of powerful programs dedicated to defending the boundary between planes. As a result they’ll attack those who breach the boundary multiple times pitting them against both the Rangers and the Data Demons. In the end they join forces with the Rangers after they save them from an attack from the Web Warlord. Guardian Program Alpha- The leader of the trio, he becomes Tyler’s main rival as he deems him responsible for the breech due to his research. He’ll eliminate any threat to the Cyber Plane with his blade. Eventually upgraded into a red form. Voice Claim: Michael Benyaer Guardian Program Beta- Cool and calculating she strikes with piercing arrows. She admits she has no hatred to her targets but the Cyber Plane must be defended. Eventually upgraded into a purple form. Voice Claim: Kathleen Barr Guardian Program Gamma- The strongest physically of the trio he is smarter than he seems and often catches his enemies off guard when they underestimate him. Those who make that mistake end up pierced by his spear.  Eventually upgraded into a silver form. Voice Claim: Paul Dobson Zenith Warriors: A Cogger on Earth discovers a Malware Mask and is possessed by it. The resulting monster uses the Grid energy within the Cogger to attempt to merge the material and Cyber planes destroying both in the process. The Zenith Rangers join forces with the Cyber Rangers to fight this threat. Morphers: Cyber Badges- Hand held or worn on their clothing. These devices allow those wearing them to detect when the barrier between planes has been breached. Cyber Shield- A wrist worn shield used by Colin to morph. The Cyber Shield allows Colin to switch between his Avatar Forms. Cyber Tag- A smaller badge worn as a necklace by Jessica. She styled it after her father’s Virtualizer and activates it in a similar way. Morphing Call: Install the Warrior Code! Morphing: A field of ranger colored code covers the ranger forming the body suit as their bodies shift to match their Avatar Form. The Cyber Glasses form the visor of their helmet finishing the morph. During the IRL arc, after Kohga restores Byte's Admin status, he waltzes into Adminspace, using his new powers to warp it to his liking in a twisted parallel to when Emulator went there during his introduction arc. He turns it into a bizarre cross between a dark fantasy castle and a circus tent, with bits and pieces of the original office aesthetic(some scattered papers here, a splintered desk there, a torture device in the dungeon that looks suspiciously similar to a giant photocopier) dotted around as if to mock the other Admins.

And thanks to Kohga's meddling, they're all powerless against him and he takes every opportunity to rub it in their faces, especially CPU and Antivirus (he definitely remembers their visits to his cell. Payback's a bitch, ain't it). But, now that he's had his fun for a few hours, it's time to get down to business and get his Guardian Program back on track. So he just inputs the secret code he'd snuck in that'll let him take direct control of every SMG and-

Wait, what? That's not supposed to happen. He tries to open up the System's code only to be met with

>Hey! That's my no-no square.

He snarls, "You are my creation. Obey me!"

>You ain't my real dad!

It wasn't even supposed to have a voice input option! The command box creaks as he grips it tighter in his frustration.

"Having a little trouble there Buggy Boi?"

Whirling around, he locks eyes with Lag. "You." he lunges forward, grabbing the other admin by the neck and lifting him as close to eye level as his chains will allow, "What the fuck did you do to my program, you pathetic waste of RAM!?"

Lag proves to be unimpressed, "I fixed it. Y'know, 'cause that's my job." He smirks, "If you want, we can call it payback for what happened to my boys."

Byte growls and slams him back into the wall, "Fine! I don't need your SMGs. I'll just wipe the slate clean and start from scratch!" A notification rings from the command box and he composes himself before opening a video chat with Welony, "Yes?"

"Well, hello to you too. I just wanted to check how things are going on your end." There's the sounds of destruction and screaming in the background.

"It's fine. I ran into a bit of trouble with regaining control of my SMG Program but it's nothing to worry about."

"Oh? What kind of trouble."

He rolls his eyes, "The morons here changed it even more than I thought. I can't make heads or tails of Lag's so-called 'improvements' and the System's turned against me. Better to just wipe them out and make new ones."

"I see," She sighs, "Well, that's a shame. And just when I was starting to enjoy having you around."

"What do you mea-AAAAAAA" PAIN HORRIBLE WHITE HOT SEARING BONE CRACKING PAIN!!!! "WHAT IS HAPPENING!?"

He can't see it from where he's convulsing on the ground, but she smirks, "Oh, I suppose I forgot to mention; your mask doesn't just hold Gohma's power, it also holds her soul."

"Y-you tr1Cked m3..."

"On the contrary, I gave you everything I promised you. You got your power, your authority, and your revenge. It's just...I also offered a good friend of mine a powerful new vessel. And what's more powerful than the last fully functional Admin?"

"I-!'ll k1lL y0u! I'll kILL yuuuuu and tURn y0^ inT0 a SmOOth13!"

As he continues to rant and rave against his former "partner," his body begins to swell, legs and pincers jutting out at random, the air filled with horrible squelching and snapping, the words gradually giving way to demonic screeching. All the while Adminspace changes as well, morphing into a dank cavern, the chains holding the de-powered Admins replaced by thick sticky webs.

Eventually the noises stop, and in Byte's place is a massive, spiky, monstrous cross between a spider, a scorpion, and a crawdad, its single massive eye roving hungrily over its captives. The only indications of who its body once belonged to are its color scheme and a battered, torn top hat hanging from its mandibles.

"Have fun, girlfriend!" With that all-too-chipper sendoff, Welony hangs up and leaves the Admins to their fate.

{Alright, one more run of Girl Power station to finish out the day, or- night (time had no meaning down here so it really didn't matter). This was what, the 3rd? 4th? run through of Girl power he'd done in the past hour alone. He found it fun, a good challenge. He liked to see what limits he could put on the level to make it more interesting. Maybe no bombs one attempt, and only bombs the next. It kept things fresh.

Byte walked through the turnstile, moving to grab his beloved blaster once through. The fee meant nothing to him. It barely made a dent in the vast amount of credits he'd built up. 'One more run cant hurt' he repeated to himself, dashing to the jump pad and catapulting himself onto the main platform.

This was a very familiar sight by this point. The same walls and boxes. It reminded him of a turf map, albeit a really odd one.

He heard the sound of the first octoling land, and didn't hesitate to toss a bomb at it. Then the next came and went. It was a routine by this point. He knew where and when each one was gonna jump, and eliminated them with unmatched efficiency.

A simple victory.

Except, as the timer ticked down, he heard something. Byte glanced back at the wall where the enemies spawned, and sure enough, staring back at him was an octoling. Or- wait, no that's not right. It was wearing an octarian uniform, but something about it was off. It's skin was sickly, but not quite the pale green typical of sanitized octolings. And, its ears were pointed.

The silhouette was unmistakable, that was an Inkling. But what was it doing here?

He didn't have time to question it. The timer froze as the lights flickered off. Power failures had become more common since the death of the commander, and of course they always seemed to come at the worst times. This was... annoying, but he was sure he could take it

The lights flickered back on, and the inkling jumped onto the battlefield, landing with a splashdown.

With blind confidence Byte moved forwards, aiming a shot at the inkling. It rolled to the side, stunning him with a few hits from its dualies.

Byte staggered back, finding himself stuck in enemy ink. Desperately, he tried to paint a way out, but the enemy was quicker.

Before he knew it he was pressed against a pillar, dualie at his throat. He finally got a good look at what he was facing. A young inkling, sanitized ink dripping from his face. His skin was deathly pale, but he was alive nonetheless.

In the blink of an eye, the inkling tore the blaster from his hands and kicked it to the side. Byte tried to retaliate, scrambling to grab the dualie at his throat, but to no avail. The gun was pulled back, only to collide with the side of his head, knocking him to the ground.

He could feel the sanitized ink burning at the exposed skin on his arms. He let out a scream, quickly morphing into a snarl. The inkling knelt over him. Through the shades, he could see it's eyes, its dead gaze shooting straight through him.

He kept fighting, or rather, flailing desperately. He couldn't run, the enemy ink would slow him down too much. He had no weapon. Wait, he had a bomb! He coul-

Before he could even reach for his emitter, he felt a swift kick collide with his head.

He heard his ears ring, he felt a gun pressed to his throat. Some part of him knew he wasn't getting out of this.

The trigger was pulled.

The lights flickered off. A power failure. There was no backup supply for the re-spawn machines. After all, subjects were expendable.

Byte had always liked his share of fun. He enjoyed messing with universes, damaging them badly, and then repairing them to start all over. However, it was a pastime of his he could scarcely do now.

Always having one other Admin near you was a bother. Byte was near one of the oldest Admins in the Adminspace, and yet here they were, treating him like new code! Well.. he knew why they were, but it was still pissing him off.

He adjusted his green tophat and opened the command box, peering into the SM64 universe. His green trenchcoat with a blue dress shirt underneath, with green suspenders and a slightly darker shade of green pants and blue shoes, was well kept as well, surprisingly.

The Admin smiles to himself as he begins to click through the command box before finding the scene he wanted. There they were. SMG-1 and SMG-2. Or, as they were better known now as Domain and Forum.

His creations.

His smile grew, prideful and arrogant. He was the whole reason the SMG Program had even started. He had created those two and suggested it. Of course, it was all a front for what he wanted to do; mess and play with the universe how he wanted. However.. the other Admins seemed to have realized he was doing something suspicious, but of course, they couldn't come out and say it without evidence.

So, when the time came and his prototypes surpassed expectations, Byte was dumbstruck when all the other Admins unanimously agreed to ascend the Guardians to Admins.

He had only been able to agree with a fake smile.

But now?

His smile turns to a grin as his two pupils, a -1 and -2, dilate just a bit. Even now, he still had some control over his creations. All those little commands and codes? He could use them.

He looks over his shoulder and chuckles. Good. Umbra was gone.

He closes his eyes and lets his code spread out before reforming. He looks around, and his grin widens, seeing he was in SMG4's Guardian Pod.

"Who are you?" asks a voice behind him, and Byte turns around.

His grin morphs to a smirk, seeing Domain and Forum standing there. They recognize him as a Higher-Up, but they don't know who he is. Domain has his fists clench and Forum his watching him warily.

Like they know he's up to no good.

"Just an Admin.." Byte hummed as strings of code appeared around his hands. "Here to do an.. indefinite universe inspection, in the fancy terms."

The green strings of code moved too quickly for the two younger Admins to even think. They're ensnared quickly and strung from the air like puppets. They struggle against their binds, but it's no use. The older Admin is more powerful than them.

"My little puppets!" Byte laughs, lowering the two to the ground. More strings of code appear and wrap around their necks. The two Admins faces fall blank, but their eyes are now looking around, confused and panicked. "Oh, how confused you must be.."

He walks up to Forum and grips his chin. "With these strings, you two are now my little dolls to be used. Puppets to put on a show. Of course, I could have just forced you two into a deep sleep and not have you watched the show, but where's the fun in that?

Byte lets go of Forum's chin and turn back around, having the strings of code lift the two other Admins. He watches with a smile as tears collect in Forum's eyes, and he can tell that Domain is trying to glare at him.

"I think this is going to be fun!" Byte laughs, grinning widely as the other Admins eyes flash to a green just like his clothing. "Don't you?"
