We all know I have a real soft spot for Morphe cosmetics eyeshadow palettes because they are always reasonably priced and the formula is insane! They are honestly some of the most pigmented eyeshadows I have had the pleasure of using. I tend to browse their site from time to time because they are always updating their sale section.

On the day I browsed their site they had a promotion were you got an additional 40% off sale items using a code on their website (I'm guessing they really wanted to get rid of old stock). For a total bargain of £9.00 (and £3.99 delivery) I manage to get my hands on a total dream palette for anyone who loves warm tones as much as I do. Everyone meet the Morphe 3502 Second Nature eyeshadow palette. As I said before this palette features a collection of oranges, brown and red tones in a matte formula, recently I've been wearing a lot of matte shades so this palette has been getting a lot of love. Matte shades from Morphe are amazing because they are so pigmented and easy to blend. With this palette I can do pretty much any look from a soft matte look to a deep smokey look.

This palette should of £24.00 so the fact that after various discounts I got it for £9.00 is just insane because of the colour story I would of happily paid full price for it in all honesty. Palette of the Year

It dropped a couple weeks ago, but it’s still sleighing.

I Didn’t Know This When I Purchase Morphe’s 35T...

Alright, so I watch a lot of First Impression videos and something I always think about (because I am always broke) is how products reveal themselves over time. Initial reviews are limited because it’s a brand new product, something exciting, etc. 

I don’t really have an exact name for this segment, yet but it’s in the works.

The minute I opened my Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette, I fell in love with the Morphe brand. The second I opened that little baby up, my addiction began. Unfortunately, it’s a very expensive addiction. I bought the 35T Dope Taupe palette a week after I got the Jaclyn Hill palette. 

So, a few basic facts:

I bought this palette at Ulta for $23 and it’s a combination of dark toned purples, browns, and golds. It’s definitely something that will look better in the Fall, especially as purple is easing its way into the trending category. To break down the palette price, each shadow is roughly $.65. At that rate, if the palette was compared to a twelve shadow set, it would be $7.80. This is a far lower price than Maybelline or Covergirl.

Now, with the review:

I would say that I was slightly disappointed when I swatched this product because the formula is not as creamy as Jaclyn Hill's Palette. Regardless, it's still smooth and every shade is super pigmented.

This palette blends well and there's always minimal fall out because of how well the shadows stick to the skin. The matte shades are definitely buildable in this palette but it's a much darker look.

I've really been in love with the purple look lately but I know it's entirely out of season. I like to wear champagne-like shadows with a neutral light brown crease as the base of my purple looks for the summer. The purple comes into play when I use it for my inner eye. It really makes my eyes pop and adds a whimsical twist to an everyday look. I bought the 35T to experiment and it did not disappoint. 

But as I said in the intro, I decided to wait to do this review so it could be completely honest. This is a great palette, but as of now, I haven't been using it as much as I thought I would. It's beautiful and worth having in your collection, but if you're trying to save money, I don't think it's the best choice for this summer.

I will be updating this post in the Fall because I have a feeling Dope Taupe is going to be the shit, right along with the Morphe 35F Fall Into Frost palette and ABHxNorvina. I honestly feel like I bought this product out of season so my review of it has a tinge of a bias when it comes to wearability.
