Good Morning Entry.

i think it would be funny if the way Daniel found out about Armand being able to walk in the sun was like, them falling into bed and then cuddling until the sun came up but they forgot to put up the curtains so when the first rays of sunshine reach their bed Daniel absolutely freaks out

I've never slept in a room with curtains this powerful, I woke up this morning and I was like ugh why can't I get back to sleep when it's like 3am, but it was actually 8am :O almost no light in the room. I don't feel like my sleep was actually better for this though, just more confusing... I think the gradually increasing light as the sun comes out is actually load-bearing for a pleasant awakening, I hadn't really thought about that before. (It's load-bearing FOR ME I know some of you need blackout curtains and you're very valid and so on and so forth)

one criticism of personality typology I can't get behind is that it's inherently hierarchical. Like I think if that's your takeaway, either look at it again or just admit you're not interested and leave it at that. Even used in the annoying, business-y, "this is determinative of your skills rather than shorthand for thought processes, interactions etc. you prioritize" way, it's usually made pretty clear that, without cognitively diverse input, organizations and communities of any kind fall into unproductive behaviors that can end up going unchecked and do very stupid things because there's an imbalance in the way the people within them think and what they prioritize. one example that comes to mind is how leftist political groups understandably appeal to a lot of Compliant-triad people, particularly social-variant 1s and 6s, leading to the problem of "would rather do nothing wrong than do something right". Another is how education is a high-Si-type dominated profession, which leads to, well, this:

sorry to start my weird morningposting with this but it freaks me out majorly that it seems very rare for happiness not to come at least partly at someone else’s expense. like my d*d’s came from screwing over my immediate family. mine would involve making my mom and grandma unhappy. what do we doooooo (like philosophically, not in my particular case)
