BUNCH OF QUALITY TIME WITH SWEET LITTLE ACTS OF SERVICE!!!!! they body double a lot :]] aslan working on whatever silly spell hes messing with or reading yet another book on charms while daniel's working on potions as per usual, its part of their little nightly ritual n aslan literally has it marked down on his schedule HEHEKDNE i also like to think his presence there's just helpful to daniel, they've got a system going where he can go prepare for a different potion while as watches over the one already in the cauldron so things Don't Go Wrong

They also skip out on breakfast in the great hall every other day because aslan likes cooking and makes them breakfast instead

SO GENERALLY THEY SPEND TIME TOGETHER WHILE ALSO DOING THEIR OWN THING AND ITS SO LOVELY TO THEM !!! JUST BASKING IN EACH OTHER'S PRESENCE WHILE ALSO PROGRESSING INDIVIDUALLY!!!!!!!!! growing together .. my fave .... my loves .....

and then for dates!!! they enjoy staying in and having movie nights together but besides that they often go on shopping trips for potion ingredients, books, and clothes thrifting then ending with a cute lunch or dinner out, going to the forest for ingredients and creature spotting is also date night for them HEHDKDNR, these two are just productive n in love, if it were up to them literally any time spent together would classify as dates

Slightly tangential to my last reblog (in the sense that 'if you hate something then is it actually bad or is it just not for you'), but sometimes I see posts like "I hate when fandoms focus too much on shipping*" or "I hate when people make headcanons that have zero basis in canon, he would not fucking say that" or "I hate that people only ever write the same 5 cliche AUs" and it's like, idk. I think some of you guys just don't really like the things that fandoms tend to be built on (and that's okay). If you hate everything about something, then maybe you just aren't its audience, or maybe you need to find other ways to engage with it that are more enjoyable for you. The solution is never 'less people need to enjoy this specific thing because it annoys me personally', though.

*putting an asterisk on this one because there are interesting discussions to be had here, but none of those (productive) discussions are 'people should just be less interested in shipping because I said so', in my opinion. And of course opinions are allowed! You are TOTALLY well within your rights to hate the things listed above, but people are allowed to love them, too. The secret to a good fandom experience is to encourage the parts you enjoy rather than to try and discourage the parts that you don't enjoy.

I wish people would stop trying to give Jimmy "ugly and gross" traits because they hate him. I saw an art of him that for some reason, was drawn so that he had visible dandruff??? I know I shouldn't pay attention to that kind of garbage but it just made me feel more insecure about myself.
