If you wanna hold on to her, go and talk to her. Tell her how you REALLY feel. And the sooner the better. (Part 1)
Robert’s making toast for Victoria and doing her hair, being a good brother while El Capitan keeps him in line. Apparently Katie slept on the sofa and Jack is none too pleased. He makes it clear she should be making an effort with Andy to rebuild her marriage and that does NOT include NOT sleeping with him. Something is off as Len just now notices Robert’s black eye and gives him advice. Katie confides in Chas she needs to get away from the village and Andy.

Ngl, I have had a crush on Katy since I was like 17, I'm 22 now and never thought I would be simping this hard over her again.... Yet here we are ladies and gents.
-_-_-_-_
Once the officers dragged the patient into the lab, Y/N sighed re-adjusted their lab coat as the man's heel tugged their coat away from it's buttoned place as he was dragged through the doorway
Hearing shoe tips bounce against the disinfected floors as they glanced up to meet the eyes of the communications officer that alert the department of a potential traitor.
Seeing brown eyes staring back at E/C eyes with a hint of something that could be considered of pride mixed with relief.
Strategically the doctor looked over the patient again at the sounds of movement locked cuffs clasping loudly against the silence in the lab.
A disparaging feeling soaked in the room as the officers secured the potential remolded scientist.
It seems that everyone has their defectors.
Shaking their head solemnly before they walked over to the retracted door panel and walked over to the officer before holding out their hands for the report before they scanned over it once.
"Alright, afterwards you report this to the higher ups." Y/N spoke confidently before handing the officer back her report.
"Of course." The officer responded her smile lingering for a moment as the doctor looked over her face.
Turning curtly back to the entrance to the lab, they swayed through quickly, the panel shutting firmly after the republic officers flooded out.
Once the patient started to awaken, did Y/N roll their sleeves up slightly and head behind the Mitigator as the republic's blue licensed command officer entered the lab.
A dark turquoise Mon Calamari with a unreadable face as well as a slight limp.
Y/n wondered what for, but before they could probe further the officer walked over to slightly disorientated amnesty file worker.
Y/N could help the feeling of guilt as the man awoke started off with saying G68 had tricked him into it.
Taking a cautious look over to the glass did they notice her eyes.
The deadness in them was alarming, as well as the slight twitch of her lip.
Furrowing eyebrows they looked at her longer then the time was given as G68 looked over at them, her face melting into a look of guilt and sadness.
With the wave a hand beside them broke their concentration with shake of the head Y/N pushed the Mitigator towards the amnesty scientist.
The pleas from him went on deaf ears as the commanding officer continued to silence him before finally, the protect gear was on his head and the two of them were out of the lab.
Turning around one more time as they left the lab and looked at G68's back as they were escorted out.
Thinking about it as they walked slowly to their quarters, stopping only when they realized someone had blown past them in a rush.
Form-wise, it had to be the same amnesty officer.
Following her with a floating step due to trying to keep up, finally once they caught up enough to following safely, the woman stopped frozen turning her head to the side.
Instead of being suspicious Y/N continued to walk as they past her, she gripped the back of their neck before pushing them into a devoided cornered cubbie space.
"You take too long." She spoke in hushed voice as she releases her tight hold on the back of their neck.
"You need to ease up on the grip next time Moof milker." Y/n sighed and rubbed their neck with annoyance.
Elia laughed and pulled them in for a hug slightly sliding her hands up their back with the intention of curling her fingers in their hair roots as she does.
"Did you do it?" She nodded as they pulled away, her face dropping from it's smile into a non readable expression.
"Yeah it's done." She answered her voice even softer as she leans her nose to bump against Y/N's before inhaling softly.
"... It's a pity.... His work had so much progress to it." Y/N watched as Kane merely shrugged and pulled Y/N back into her, their lips meeting softly.
-------
That's it.
The character is too vague for anything more.
I wrote this in 20 minutes, please be kind.
If you want I could write George from Z nation, I have like 4 year old drafts from that that I could rewrite or just post them. I love O'Brian. I have for years and now that she's in popular stuff I will fist fight anyone who doesn't think she fits the role in mandalorian.

June 20th summary
We watched from 2015/03/17 to 2015/03/26 p5.
Lawrence wants to say anything that will get Lachlan off the hook but Chrissie wants them to tell the truth. She apologises to Alicia and David.
Chas and Paddy worry more about how much Aaron is running. Paddy asks Robert to stay away because Aaron's overdoing it and they blame him. Robert looks worried, even more so when he later sees Aaron throw up from running. Largely in an effort to get Aaron to talk to him, Robert donates £2k to his fundraiser. Then he tries to make them take a dodgy car from Ross just so Aaron will have a go at him; he does, and Robert blurts out that what happened to Katie was his (Robert's) fault. Aaron realises that Robert was just using him and punches him several times.
Later, Robert tries to talk to Aaron again, wanting Aaron to confide in him so he'll stop feeling so bad - it's very unclear whether that's primarily for Aaron's benefit, or so that he won't tell anyone what happened with Katie. Robert tells Aaron that he loves him.

Robron week day 3: Hurt/Comfort + “I brought you a blanket and some tea.”
A mother’s love (AO3)
Teen AU - Aaron comes out to Chas
-------
“Mum? Do you have a minute?” Aaron asked nervously. She’d just come through the backroom from the bar and he decided it was now or never.
“Not really… What is it?”
“I just… want to talk to you.”
“Talk to me? What about? Why are you being so weird?”
“Can we just sit down for a minute?” Aaron asked and Chas reluctantly sat down on the sofa.
“I’m sitting.”
Aaron took a few deep breaths and wiped his hands on his jeans, perching on the edge of the coffee table.
“I uh… wanted to talk to you… about me.”
“About you? What have you done?”
“Nothing. It’s nothing bad. At least… I don’t think it is.”
“Ok…”
“Well… you see uh… You know Vic and I broke up, right?”
“Yes… what does that have to do with anything? Are you back together? Oh my god you knocked her up didn’t you?”
“No! God no. That’s just… No. Never going to happen.”
“Right. Well then spit it out Aaron, I haven’t got all day.”
“I… I’m gay…”
Chas frowned.
“That’s what you needed to tell me?”
“I… yes? It’s… I’m gay.” He repeated, a little more confident this time. “I’m gay and I have a boyfriend.”
Chas rolled her eyes and got up.
“I don’t have time for this.”
“W-what?”
“This attention seeking of yours. I have a pub to run, I’m not in the mood for jokes.”
“It’s not a joke! It’s who I am.”
“This week. You were seeing Vic just a few weeks ago, weren’t you? And don’t think I didn’t see you looking at Holly.”
“I’m not interested in either of them. They’re my friends. I like boys. I like one boy… a lot. He -”
“Is there a hidden camera around here somewhere?” Chas interrupted, looking around the backroom. “Tell your mother some crazy made up story and win a thousand pounds if she falls for it?”
“It’s not made up!” Aaron was getting desperate. “I’m gay and I’m in love with a boy. With Robert.”
“Sugden?”
“Yes!”
Chas scoffed.
“Now I definitely know you’re lying. Robert is dating Katie isn’t he? He doesn’t even like boys.”
“He does. He likes me! He’s my boyfriend!”
“Alright you’ve had your fun now.” Chas rolled her eyes. “You’re gay and in love with Robert Sugden. Good one Aaron. You almost had me.”
“Mum I’m not lying, I swear. It’s the truth.” He felt tears welling up in his eyes.
“You’re not gay, Aaron. I know you’re just doing this to wind me up and make my life difficult.” Chas snapped. “I have work to do, come find me when you’ve let these ridiculous lies go.”
She went back into the pub and left Aaron standing in the middle of the backroom on his own. His eyes were burning with unshed tears but he didn’t want to cry. He pressed the balls of his thumbs into his eyes and took a few deep breaths. Of all the things he’d expected his mother to say, not believing him had definitely not been one of them.
He replayed the conversation in his head.
Stop lying, Aaron. I’m sick of your lies, Aaron.
Suddenly the walls were closing in on him and he had to get out of the pub. He walked out the door and let it slam shut behind him with a satisfying thud and started running. Running to the only place he wanted to go right now. The only person he wanted to see.
Sarah had just gotten comfortable curled up on the sofa, ready for an evening in front of the tv and some peace and quiet (something that was rare with three kids in the house) when someone knocked on the door.
She got up and walked to the door as the knocking got more intense.
“Oh hello love.” Sarah said, when she opened the door, not entirely surprised to see Aaron standing there, even if it was almost 9PM.
“Is… is Robert there please?”
“I’m afraid not… He’s dropping Vic off at a mate’s… but he’ll be back soon. Do you want to come in and wait?”
The boy seemed unsure.
“It’s no bother. And he’d hate for me to let his friend wait on the doorstep.”
Aaron gave her a small smile and stepped inside.
“Thanks Mrs Sugden.”
Usually she’d correct him and tell him to call her Sarah, but she decided to let it go for now.
“Sit down, make yourself at home.” She told him. “Robert will be back soon. Vic’s friend lives in Connelton and he said he’d come straight back.”
Aaron nodded and sat down in the armchair and pretended to watch tv.
Sarah watched him for a minute. He was a bundle of nervous energy and he was trembling like a leaf in the wind.
“Does Robert know you’re waiting for him?” she asked sweetly.
Aaron swallowed thickly.
“Uh no… I uh… just had to get out of the house… I thought he’d be home… I didn’t think… I’m sorry, I’ll go.” He got up but Sarah stopped him.
“No sweetheart, you don’t have to go. You’re always welcome here.” She vowed. “I just wondered if Robert knew he had to get a move on because you were waiting for him. Surely he wouldn’t want to keep his friend waiting.”
Aaron gave her a small smile and sat back down.
“No I just had to get out of there… I had a fight with my mum and I just… couldn’t stand being there anymore.”
“Oh… want to tell me what the fight was about? I know I’m not Robert but I’ve been told I’m a good listener. And I can get you that mum perspective.” She offered.
Aaron considered telling her everything but he wasn’t sure what she knew about Robert and he didn’t want to be the one to out him to his mother.
“But if you just want to watch bad tv with me and wait for Robert that’s fine too.”
Aaron felt the tears welling up in his eyes again at her kindness.
“It’s… it’s not that I don’t want to tell you… I’m just… not sure I can… or I should.”
“Ok. Well… are there parts that you feel you can tell me without worrying?” Sarah asked. “It might make you feel better to share what’s on your mind.”
Aaron thought for a moment and figured he could at least tell her about the argument with his mum.
“I uh… I told my mum something important today… about me… and… and she didn’t believe me. She thought I was joking.”
“Oh? And were you?”
Aaron shook his head, staring at the tv but not being able to see anything through the tears in his eyes.
“No.” his voice broke on the one little word.
“Do you want to tell me what it is?”
Aaron bit his lip.
“I promise I won’t tell anyone if you don’t want me to. Not even Robert.” Sarah promised.
“It’s about Robert.” Aaron told her, tears now running down his cheeks. “And me. We’re together. I’m gay and Robert is my boyfriend.”
Sarah got up and pulled Aaron close. Her heart broke for the boy and at the same time she longed to give Chas Dingle a piece of her mind. How a mother could make her child feel like this over who they loved was beyond her.
“I know love, I know.” She rubbed a hand over the boy’s back and let him cry. “It’s ok. Let it all out. You’ll feel better afterwards.”
Aaron roughly wiped at his eyes.
“I just don’t know why she wouldn’t believe me. Why would I lie? Why can’t she just be happy for me? For us?”
“I don’t know sweetheart, but I know I am happy for both of you. I’m really glad you found each other and you’re so happy together.”
Aaron looked up at her.
“Robert told you?”
“Yes. But I also have eyes. I’ve seen the way you two look at each other when you think no-one is looking.” She smiled at him and gave him a wink. “Ever since the barbeque last summer. I saw you two kiss by the firepit after everyone had gone to bed.” She explained when she saw the shocked look on his face. “I wanted to remind Robert to put it out when you two were ready to call it a night… but you were busy with each other.”
Aaron felt his cheeks heat up.
“That was our first kiss.”
“I’ve never seen Robert so in love.” Sarah commented. “I’m really happy for you both.”
Aaron smiled weakly.
“So you don’t think I’m lying?”
“Of course not.” She gave him another squeeze and got up. “I was just about to make some tea, do you want a cuppa too?”
“Yeah ok… that would be nice.”
Sarah made her way to the kitchen to put the kettle on and hoped Robert would be back soon. She’d managed to calm Aaron down somewhat but he was still shivering. The adrenaline from the fight and running over to their house wearing off.
Thankfully in the time it took for the kettle to boil Robert walked into the house.
“The package has been delivered.” He said in a funny voice that normally would make Sarah laugh. He took his jacket off and hung his keys on the hook by the backdoor. “Oh I could murder a cuppa if you’re making, mum?”
“Sure love. But there is someone waiting for you inside.” She told him and Robert frowned.
“Who?”
“Aaron.”
“Aaron?” Robert pulled took his phone out of his pocket. “He didn’t say anything about coming over. I would have picked him up on the way.”
“I don’t think he planned to… but he’s had kind of a tough day.” Sarah said, scooping a generous amount of sugar into the mugs. She put the mugs on a tray and handed it to Robert before moving past him to get a blanket from the laundry room., silently thanking Andy for not having done his chores yet and put it away. She draped the blanket over Robert’s shoulder and ushered him into the living room where Aaron was still waiting.
“Hey.” She heard Robert say. “I brought you a blanket and some tea. What’s going on? Are you alright?” he put the tray down on the table and barely had time to stand back up before Aaron was up out of his seat and wrapping his arms around him, burying his face in his neck.
Robert moved them to sit down on the sofa and tucked the blanket around them.
“Do you want to tell me what’s going on? My mum said you were having a bad day?”
“Yeah… but it’s better now you’re here.” Aaron said, leaning in to kiss Robert. “I missed you.”
Sarah watched the two boys snuggle up under the blanket and trade soft kisses. She smiled to herself, happy that her son had found someone special, and especially happy that that someone happened to be one of the kindest people she knew.
She took her own mug of tea and decided an early night with a good book was just as good as a night in front of the telly, and let the boys have the room.
And tomorrow, she was going to have a word with Chas Dingle on what it meant to love and support your children unconditionally.

Sara Davies and Aljaz - Cha Cha
Honestly, when it comes to people like the dragons, I never expect much. Yet, Sara surprised me. At some points, it was a bit stop start and she could’ve done more with her hips. Yet, she oozed so much charisma and confidence that this dance needs. Despite her career, she has great musicality and you could see her feeling the music. With more work, she will be great.
Dan Walker and Nadiya - Quickstep
Considering that he is 6ft 6, I was actually quite impressed at how light on his feet he was. Apart from some issues with timing, he was quick and light moving across that floor and I actually think most of his footwork was pretty good considering it was week one. Also, with his height, his frame needs improving because with so much height, he might have a tendency to slouch for Nadiya but he has potential. I was shocked because I expected it to be awful.
Rose and Giovanni - Jive
Honestly, Rose is such an inspiration and I honestly, like I just can’t find anything wrong to say. It’s week one and she had bundles of personality and her technique was great as well. The flicks and kicks were sharp, her energy was always high and she had amazing musicality which helped the dance flow like it should. Rose should be so proud of herself.
Katie and Gorka - Tango
As expected, Katie channeled her inner actress and really shone in this dance dominating the floor like she had been doing it for ysars. Although there were some issues with consistency of her frame, this song is about the commitment and passion put into a story. I missed the first part because of a hair problem but I enjoyed watching it.

Why Don’t You Do Right
Chapter 1 of my Husk x Fem!Reader on my AO3 account.
CW: Murder, Suggestive Themes, and Alcohol
The empty glass of liquor shook in your weak hand, your legs draped over your bathtub as you stared up at the tiled ceiling, tears burning your searing cheeks. You could feel your vision spotting and your limbs going numb, it was becoming harder to breathe, and your eyelids fluttered in attempts to grab onto anything that wasn't becoming shrouded in black. A faint frown became almost painfully painted onto your features, you were dying, you were really dying, you wouldn't be able to see the sun again, to really be happy again, and you couldn't do anything about it. If you had enough energy you would've called an ambulance, you really would have, but it was far too late for that now, and the man with the gun planted firmly on your temple wouldn't allow that.
"just fucking do it already," you muttered out, voice cracking from the sob caught in your throat, you wouldn't let yourself truly cry in front of the jackass.
You heard the gun ready against your head, "whatever you say, whore."
Then you heard a bang, saw black, and finally, red.
---
You adjusted your black laced bralette and long, lace trimmed stockings held up by garters. The silky see-through shawl that adorned your shoulders and met the slip of panties at your waist barely covered up your nearly nude form. Your small, fluffy tail that sat just at the base of your back along with the ears that were coddled in your short, wavy bob feigned a strange sense of innocence in your other wise raunchy getup. By the sound of all the jeers in the crowd, it looked like you had to be good to get any kind of payment from the demons jesting in the bar.
Sure, you had done this before, but you had never preformed in a place like this, not in front of a handful of drugged out freaks and murders. You'd only done any kind of erotic performance while you were alive, while you were much safer than you currently were. You were quickly snapped out of your thoughts from the announcement of your name by the stage hand through the gnarled microphone that only sent you into more of a panic. Goosebumps trailed your skin as a feeble hand grasped the red curtain that only moments before hid you. Your stocking covered leg was the first to show into the warm, yellowed spotlight, followed by the rest of your shamelessly hourglass shaped form. You tried your best to feign confidence as you strutted towards the microphone, your presence finally starting to feel familiar as you grasped the rusted mic.
"how are you boys doin' tonight," you smiled, thick eyelashes fluttering at each disgustingly drunk demon, gladly their whistles told you that you were doing fine.
Your lips parted into song, and the applause at the end of your performance gave you a handsome payment, especially for your first show in hell.
But that was 64 years ago, and this was now.
Your heavy eyebags clashed with your slightly smudged eyeliner and shimmering makeup across your eyelids and cheeks. The golden brown whiskey in the glass, held by your black stiletto manicure, swayed with every movement of your wrist, and washed down any kind of emotions that dared to seep through into your face, especially when you threw your head back when you took an exceptionally large swig of the alcohol before you.
You tiredly eyed the thickly scaled bartender, who gave you yet another glass of the whiskey silently, completely understanding your request just by the look you gave him. He'd gotten it dozens of times before from hundreds of other patrons, the look that was worn in and ready to give up. The sickly tv that sat screwed into the wall just to the right of you had been playing the 666 news, broadcasting some sort of announcement from the princess of hell or something of another. You really didn't bother to pay attention. You wouldn't even think about anything else other than a smoke or a drink after a performance, they had begun to take so much out of you recently, whether it was the way men tried to grab you or the offhanded comments you'd get didn't matter much, you hated all of it equally.
Your fluttering eyes finally strayed to the television when the head news anchor, Katie Killjoy, began to clobber the other blonde for a reason you simply didn't bother to think of.
"whats up with them?" You questioned as you gestured towards the television, leaning into the bar, while splitting your attention between the bartender and the fight.
With a sigh, he stated, “some broad decided to start up a hotel that's supposed to ‘rehabilitate sinners’, er whatever the hell that means.”
You nodded, not even minding his under-the-breath curses or blatant rudeness. You had learned all you needed to know from the guy and were sure as hell ready to pry yourself off of the crummy leather barstool and lived in wooden counter.
You stood up and you passed a dirtied 20 dollar bill over to the bar tender which he lazily took, and stupidly enough, you had already made up your mind to head over to the hotel and check it out. If rehabilitating sinners meant what you thought it had meant, you'd be getting a free room and maybe even make it out of the shit hole known as hell, but it wasn't like you really wanted an out anyway, what you really wanted was to stop paying rent.
You walked over to the door with a faint idea of where you would be going, and quickly opened the bar's door, a sudden feeling of dread crawling into your skin as you began your short lived search for the hotel. Your black heels clicked along the worn out, paved sidewalk. The pentagram hanging dauntingly above you reminded you of where you were, the thought only made you walk faster, while your arms crossed over your chest as you leaned into each step, keen on hurrying to the hotel, if you could even find it.
You let go a breath you had been holding in your chest, the sign of the hotel had come into view, large letters read, "happy hotel" the sheer innocence of it enticed a small laugh out of you that only you heard, not like any of the demons around you really cared anyway.
You'd been around hell long enough to recognize a worn out idea when you saw one. The happy hotel looked to be like any other cheesy tv ad that tried to sell you an outrageous offer that was too good to be true, at a "modest" price. A handful of fear struck fools would wander into the place, get the wake up call that they're too much of a load of shit to be redeemed, and walk out of the shit show.
How lucifer even approved of this was a mind fuck in of itself, was the princess really that innocent, so stupid?
You had lost hope in ever redeeming yourself years ago. When you first got into the business of selling yourself out to bars and other places to perform you wholeheartedly believed you would get better, that the job would be temporary. You said the same thing when you started drinking and smoking. You never wanted to work at such awful places, you wanted to do more things in your life. You wanted to really sing at nice places, you wanted to really open up, you wanted to be yourself.
Hell wasn't a place for people like you, for people who didn't have the gull to even speak their mind, to be too scared to show who they really are.
You snapped yourself out of your racing, and slightly mocking, thoughts when you noticed you were just at the door step of the hotel. The two doors that were in front of you shown with two red apples surrounded by golden glass panes, the glass work by itself was beautiful by itself, not to mention the intricate carvings of the wood.
You hesitated slightly before knocking on the door, quickly folding you hands at the waist as you waited for god knows who to greet you at the door. A blonde demon gazed up at you with excited eyes right when the door swung open, her mouth parted into an awe-struck smile as she threw her hand out for you to shake which you gladly took.
"Hello! My name is Charlie! Did you see us on the news?" she started, quickly rambling into all kinds of other questions and side tangents as she vigorously shook your hand.
You smiled a quiet smile as you calmly interrupted, "My name is y/n."
She gasped as she let go of your hand, "oh gosh, I didn't even realize I started to ramble."
You began to wonder how such a nice demon was raised in a place like this, surrounded by awful people at every turn.
She really was cute, "don't worry about it doll, but i am interested in the hotel, what exactly do you want to do here, again?" You questioned, honestly interested and quite charmed by her positively upbeat personality.
"I'm so glad you asked!" she began, "I'd like to solve over population in hell by redeeming sinners! Hopefully by the end of it they'll get sent straight to heaven." You nodded along politely as she leaded you into the hotel, gesturing to paintings and furnishings while lightly glossing over the general location of the kitchen, guest rooms, and presently, the lobby.
You took notice of a spider and moth demon in another room, the two of them taking small jabs at each other in a way that made it clear that they wished to annoy each other. You chuckled lightly at this before turning to face Charlie once again, the pink cheeked demon standing a bit shorter than you, even if you didn't have heels on.
"So, what do you think?" she looked eager and hopeful, obviously hoping for your reaction to be positive in any way.
You hesitated. What did you think? You thought it was pointless, impossible, and obviously wouldn't work, but at the same time, her hope and love for the place made you feel a little less poorly about it.
"I think it sounds wonderful, Charlie," you smiled down at her, "If it wouldn't be a bother, I think I'd like to stay for awhile."
She absolutely beamed at your response, nodding while shaking your hands in hers before skipping over to tell the moth demon of your interest in the hotel. The girl instantly smiled at the news, eyes shifting from Charlie to you with nothing but warm features, all the while nodding along with her rambles.
A knock cut through the moment Charlie was having with the other girl, both yours and Charlie's head snapped to the door, you smile faltering slightly as you slowly walked to the door, Charlie following close behind. The awful feeling you had festered in your gut returned, while your heart seemed to jump into your throat. Your arms became covered in goosebumps as the smaller demon opened the door only to be greeted by a loud, almost deafening sound of a radio sputter that enveloped the air, causing your ears to press against the sides of your head along with a wince in your features. Your heart skipped a beat at the frighteningly tall deer demon standing in the door way. You instantly recognized that face, those clothes, and the cocky expression.
It was the radio demon.

Hey! Just a random question but: I was wondering when you got into watching robron? As in what era and how did you find out and what were your first impressions of the characters?
Hi anon!! What a great question, I’m sorry in advance for this long post because it’s a complicated answer to give. Here’s my robron journey:
So I first found Aaron in 2011 or 2012, and it was originally from watching the soap awards. I remember they kept showing Danny and his sl with Jackson and I’m pretty sure Danny and/or that sl won some awards. It then made me go on to YouTube and start watching random clips of aaron and all the struggles he had. It was hard to watch but I was also somewhat going through something similar to him so it felt like an instant connection. So that was my first introduction to Aaron and I just sort of always kept him in my mind over the years.
Then comes robron, I remember seeing them come up on my dash somewhere in jan 2015. I was like aww Aaron’s got a new love interest let me have a look. So I watched all their sl together and I enjoyed them. But then Katie’s death happened and Robert was very manipulative around that time and it was all very angsty and horrible and somewhere in feb 15 I stopped watching because it was just too much angst for me to handle at the time.
So after that I kind of just let them go but i did see them on my dash very randomly. I specifically remember watching the scene where rob and chas save Aaron in the woods and Robert saying he cares and I thought aww that’s sweet they are getting somewhere. I don’t remember seeing anything of them again until the scene of Aaron in hospital and Robert talking to him in jan 2016. (Apparently Aaron getting injured is what brings robron back to me lol)
Then one fateful night of may 31st 2016, once again the soap awards, I refound my love for robron. I basically saw that Aaron had had his abuse sl and it broke my heart to even watch the clips but also made me want to watch because Danny just kills it! As well as seeing that robron were actually officially together? Wow magical! And dryan were up for the best partnership and I just remember being like I need to instantly watch them!!
So that night I watched the whole of abuse era up to the present time, I literally stayed up until 5am watching robron. That’s the power they had on me. I was literally on study leave for my exams at school but I stayed up until 5am watching robron slowly find their way back together. I will never regret it!! But anyway from that moment on I loved them, although it was a sad time to properly join the fandom because they then went on a 6 week break 😂
Also bonus facts, I watched robrons sl on YouTube but when ssw happened I started to watch emmerdale live and I haven’t stopped since! And so the first emmerdale ep I watched live was robrons ssw ep!! I only started to properly get involved in the fandom in jan 2017 because I was getting so excited for the wedding and I had to talk about it with someone. So I followed loads of robron blogs and started talking to people!! And that was my decent into complete obsession after that 😂
But yeah basically I have to thank my love for the soap awards and tumblr for allowing me to find robron and fall in love with them.
I loved Aaron from the moment I saw his character, he just had such depth to him and I just wanted to give him a big cuddle and for him to be happy. I don’t remember what my first impression of Robert was really, but I do know that he basically made me stop watching robron for a year and a half so you know it wasn’t the greatest of impressions! I’ve always had a favourite character in a ship and Aaron was that person for me but then when I started watching them properly I fell in love with Roberts character more and more each day!! I think having a friend I was talking to on here being the biggest Robert fan helped me fall in love with him but also Ryan is just so good that I couldn’t help it. And now I can confidently say that I love Aaron and Robert equally, both individually as characters and together as a couple and that’s the first time that I’ve ever loved both characters equally when it comes to a couple!! And I think that’s just one of the many reasons robron are so special to me! 💕💕💕
#ask#anon#robron#robron chat#long post#im sorry it got so long#but thats just what happens when i talk about robron#lol

Take a chance, make a change - Part 3 (complete)
Look, I finished it! Only 4 months late! Also, my ignoring the whole Katie business isn’t intentional but it’s happened now so let’s go with it. As this is an AU and I wasn’t killing Val, I’m afraid Ross had to be sacrificed instead. “What the hell are you doing here?” He comes to, to the sound of Chas’s voice, wincing as he lifts his head. He must’ve fallen asleep resting on Aaron’s bed. He looks at him, still sleeping. “Oi, I’m talking to you.”
“It sounded more like shouting to me.” He stands up because he knows she’s not going to let him stay. He was lucky he’d managed to stay all night, a sympathetic nurse just smiling when she came in to check on Aaron. She was nice, she’d told him he was showing good signs, they were pretty confident now he’d be alright. “I’m going, alright.”
“Back to Chrissie?” He doesn’t look but he can tell she’s sneering.
“No.” Now he looks at her. “I told her everything. I’m stopping at Vic’s until I get sorted…if he wants to see me.”
“He won’t.”
“If he does, that’s where I’ll be.” He doesn’t give her chance to answer, takes one more look at Aaron and leaves.
*****
It’s excruciating keeping away but he knows it’s pointless trying to visit when any number of Dingles will be on hand to keep him away. All he can do is hang on Vic’s every word when she comes back from the pub with news.
“Well?” He’s out of the chair the second she comes in from her shift. Nothing to do all day except wonder about the future and that only took up so much time and her shift seemed endless.
“Can I at least get my coat off before you start?”
“Vic!” He’d told her everything when he got back from the hospital, listened to her shocked questions, answered what he could until he was worn out from talking. Vic was always the best of them, took everything in her stride. “Please.”
“Chas didn’t tell me, probably knew I’d tell you, but I heard Zak and Cain talking. Sounds like Aaron’s awake.”
“Is he…I mean…” He perches on the arm of the sofa, can’t stand up any longer, the relief turning into something like fear.
“I don’t know anything else, but Chas is working, so he must be ok, right?”
“Yeah. Yeah, course, I’m just being daft.” He sighs. “Did you see Andy today?” He hasn’t seen him, but Vic had told him everything, her suggestion, knowing it would only end in disaster if the two of them talked.
“I called in to Debbie’s. It’s all a mess, she’s up at Moira’s, Pete’s nowhere to be seen. Poor Finn is stuck between his Mum and Dad arguing about arrangements for Ross. I reckon he’ll be there a few more days with the kids, at least until Debbie’s well enough to go home on her own.”
“I know he won’t want me here. I’ll find somewhere soon, Vic.”
“I told ya, you can stay here as long as you like. It’s my house.” She smiles but he knows she’s stuck in the middle, Adam barely tolerates him, and if Andy comes back he’ll be completely out of place.
“Are you going to the hospital then?” She asks when he doesn’t move.
“I don’t know what to say to him.”
“Well start by telling him you’ve left Chrissie. That’s what he wanted, right? From what you said…”
“Yeah, but…what if he’s changed his mind? What if I’ve thrown everything away for nothing?”
“If you’re just going to sit there and wallow then I’m going to get on making my tea. Go to the hospital and see Aaron. We both know you’re going to and if I were you I’d go before the rest of his lot turn up.”
“Thanks Vic.” He gets up, presses a kiss to her cheek and grabs his jacket, unable to resist one look in the hall mirror to check his appearance, Vic’s soft laugh echoing in his ears as he shuts the door behind him.
The drive to the hospital feels long even with virtually no traffic getting in his way. He doesn’t know what he’s going to find. Aaron’s awake, but does he remember anything? He’d not answered any of his texts that morning. Was that his way of telling him it was over, that he’d strung him along too long.
If he turned him away now he had no idea what he’d do. He wasn’t regretting telling Chrissie, not really, but the thought of having no one left him cold. He didn’t have many people in his life anyway, only Vic really and he hated the feeling of being alone.
He peeks through the window to Aaron’s room again when he gets there, just in case he had visitors. He was in no way ready to face Cain Dingle at any point but the room is empty, Aaron laying in the bed, the white sheets making him pale. He’s awake though, staring out of the window, plastered arm resting on a pillow, bandage covering one side of his forehead. He doesn’t look anywhere near as bad as he’d been imagining the past few days though and he plucks up the courage to open the door.
He lets out a breath when Aaron smiles. It’s gone in an instant though, replaced by suspicion and Robert can’t blame him for that.
“Hi. How are you?” Aaron shrugs, never one for wanting to talk about himself. “I half expected you to have a queue of visitors.”
“Sent ‘em home. Mum was doing my head in. Didn’t think you’d come. Where does she think you are this time?”
“No idea. Your Mum didn’t tell you then?” He drops the car magazine that he’d picked up from the meagre selection in the hospital shop, suddenly realising he didn’t want to turn up empty handed. Now he feels foolish because that’s what a mate would bring or family. He should’ve come up with something better.
“Tell me what? Sit down then, you’re making the place look untidy.”
“I, er…after the crash, I…told Chrissie everything.” Any other time he’d laugh at the way Aaron’s eyes widen.
“What?”
“I couldn’t keep it hidden anymore.”
“But, just telling her…what did she say?”
“Not much. Threw me out. I’m stopping at Vic’s. I told your Mum that’s where I was…”
“Are you surprised? I think she almost choked when she told me you got me out. I…”
“It’s alright, you’d do the same if it were me. Wouldn’t you?” He winks and Aaron laughs, the atmosphere lifting straight away. “I didn’t tell Chrissie it was you by the way. Figured I could save you that.”
“She’ll find out.”
“Yeah, but there’s no need to bring it down on us until we have to.”
“Us?”
“Well yeah. It’s what you wanted, isn’t it? Me to leave her.”
“Yeah but…you’re just in shock or something after the accident.” Has he really made Aaron feel that unwanted, that he can’t believe he’d choose him.
“No, that’s not what it is…ok maybe it did make things clearer, when I saw you lying there in the hall but this isn’t a whim or whatever. I want to be with you.”
“And everyone knowing?”
“I’m surprised they don’t already.” He shrugs, probably not convincingly but thankfully Aaron doesn’t say anything. “I’ll deal with it. Assuming that it’s still what you want? Me and you?”
*****
In the end he moves back into the pub, Diane overruling Chas’s loud objections. It’s too crowded at Vic’s anyway and when Andy gets back the tension is unbearable, the jibes too much and unfair on Vic so he leaves. The pub isn’t much better, Chas glaring at him at every opportunity leave him spending more time in his room than anywhere else.
He’s taking advantage of her shopping trip to spend some time in the backroom alone, trying to figure out what he’s going to do with himself now. He’s heard nothing but he’s sure he won’t be going back to work for White’s.
“So this is where you’re hiding?” He turns to find Chrissie in the doorway, sneering at him in that way of hers.
“I’m not hiding. It’s my stepmum’s pub, it’s not exactly a shock that I’d be here.”
“I thought you’d be shacked up with your girlfriend by now.”
“Well you thought wrong. What do you want because I’m not in the mood for a shouting match.”
“I want to know who she is.”
“Why does it matter?” He finds himself hoping Chas or someone would come through to the back, anything to stop this. “It won’t change anything.”
“It will for me. I want to know. I think I deserve that, don’t you?”
“None of this is their fault. I’m the one you’re mad at.”
“I’ll decide who I’m mad at thank you! We were happy until they came along and stole you away!”
“Were we? Really? Living with your Dad, him making me feel like an inconvenience. Not everything was rosy Chrissie, surely you can see that.” She’s staring at him open mouthed. “It’s not the first time.”
“What?”
“There’ve been others. I didn’t want to tell you because there’s no point.”
“I…you married me. You stood there and made vows, when all the time you’ve been…you really are a bastard aren’t you?”
“It’s…I did love you, I never lied about that.”
“And that’s supposed to mean something to me, is it?”
“No. No I suppose not.” He sighs, getting to his feet, wanting her to leave because there’s no good way any conversation ends. “All I can say is sorry.”
“I still want to know who she is.”
“No. I told you, it won’t do any good.” He doesn’t know why he’s stalling, as soon as Aaron comes home, then everyone will know. “What difference does it make who it was?”
“I’ll find out and then I’ll make your life a living hell.” He doesn’t bother answering it won’t do any good. “Here, have this back. I’m sure she’ll like it.” He doesn’t even see her take off her rings, just them flying past him as she throws them across the room, just as the door opens and Chas stands there, mouth open.
“Am I interrupting?”
“I was just going. I hope you realise what kind a man you’ve got living under your roof.”
“Not my choice love, but if you don’t mind I’m gasping for a cuppa.” He stands there stunned as Chas doesn’t join the sniping as he thought she would.
“You haven’t heard the end of this!” Chrissie yells at him as she goes. Then it’s just him and Chas.
“Thanks.”
“I didn’t do it for you. I’d rather my home wasn’t the setting for your domestics, that’s all.” She’s banging round the kitchen, making tea. One cup. Not that he expected anything different. “Are you staying long?”
“I don’t know. Look, I know you don’t want me here but Diane said it was alright and Aaron…”
“What about Aaron?” The mug lands on the counter, tea spilling over the sides.
“Well…did he not tell you?”
“Clearly not. So you enlighten me.”
“We’re together.” They’d talked for hours that day in the hospital, both of them smiling stupidly at each other like a pair of teenagers. They wanted to keep it quiet, just for a while, because of Chrissie, because the village was grieving, because being just the two of them for a while sounded nice. He’d assumed that Aaron would tell Chas though, and now he’d put his foot in it.
“You work fast I’ll grant you that.”
“It’s what we want. Both of us. I know you don’t like me, but Aaron does. All I want is to be with him.”
“See I don’t…I don’t know what your game is. What about the money, the fancy house?”
“I don’t care about ay of that. I could’ve carried on the affair, had it all but I didn’t.”
“The Robert Sugden I know would’ve.”
“Maybe you don’t know me at all. Ever think that?”
“Not a chance. You’ll always be the same money grabbing chance who cheats on everyone. Aaron will see that soon enough.”
“If that’s what you want to believe…but until he tells me to I’m not going anywhere.” He picks up his jacket. “Now, if you don’t mind, I’m going to pick him up.”
“He’s coming home?”
“Rang while you were out. Asked me to go.” He can’t help the little flicker of triumph in his voice at the look on her face.
*****
“Your Mum hates me.” He says when Aaron’s settled in the car. Hadn’t that been fun, going up to Home Farm to get the car and his things the day after he’d left. Thankfully Lawrence was away but Lachlan had been there just staring at him in that way of his.
“That’s not news.”
“I thought leaving my wife for her son might’ve thawed the cold shoulder a little.”
“No chance mate.” He shifts uncomfortably as Robert takes a corner too sharp. “How bad has she been?”
“Nothing I can’t handle. She’s not too keen on me being at the pub mind.”
“So I shouldn’t suggest you move into my room then?”
“I don’t know, you’re injured. She might take pity on you!”
*****
“Are you sure about this?” Aaron’s only in a towel and pulling the homemade waterproofing round his cast when he walks into the bedroom, back from collecting his black tie from Vic’s. He still needed to get round to bringing all his stuff over. “Going together I mean?”
“Don’t you want to?” It had been Aaron’s suggestion, late one night when the initial fuss had of him and Chrissie splitting up had all died down. He was getting used to being talked about in the pub, the dirty looks from the Dingles and Brenda not so subtly probing for gossip every time he wanted an Americano. So far no one but family knew about him and Aaron, neither of them particularly wanting the surefire confrontation with Chrissie until they had to.
“Of course I do, it’s just…it’s Ross’s funeral. I don’t want to cause a scene.”
“I still don’t understand why we’re going in the first place. Neither of us could stand him!”
“Because it’s what you do isn’t it? Besides, Pete asked, and he’s alright. Him and Finn can’t be blamed for having a git for a brother.” He sighs, rummaging through the few clothes he has here, the sight of Aaron lazing on the bed in a towel too distracting.
“So, you go and I’ll stay here. Pete didn’t ask me.” He hated funerals, everyone standing around not knowing what to say, people who hated the person suddenly coming out with platitudes they didn’t mean.
“So I can face all the gossip alone? No thanks.” While they hadn’t exactly made anything public, there were enough rumours flying round about why his marriage had ended and why he was living in the pub when it was well known Chas couldn’t stand him.
“You’re the one who was questioning it, not me. I didn’t go over to Vic’s for a tie for nothing you know. I could’ve joined you in the shower if you only said this half an hour ago.”
“Oi, still recuperating here you know.” He comes over to him, pulling him into a hug. “I’m serious though, it feels like rubbing her nose in it. Chrissie I mean.”
“Probably. Got to happen at some point because unfortunately none of them look like they’re going anywhere, and we’re certainly not so she’ll have to deal with it some day. Besides, I doubt she’ll be there.”
“You’re insufferable do you know that.”
“Yeah and you love it. Now if we’re going to this thing, get dressed before your mother comes up here and blames me for making you late. She’s already blamed me for the lack of milk and the bread being stale.”
“She’ll come round.”
“I’m not holding my breath. So, we’re doing this?” He couldn’t help notice the way his hand shook slightly as he fumbled with his tie, hoping Aaron didn’t see. He knew, deep down that Aaron wanted everyone to know, wanted to put the story straight, whereas he wanted nothing more than to hide away and ignore the gossips.
“What’s wrong? You’ve never been bothered about being a source of gossip as far as I know.” Aaron sits down on the bed with a sigh. “Do you…is it me? Do you not want to go with me?”
“No. It’s…I’ve never done this Aaron, everyone here thinks they know me. They’re used to me with a girl on my arm. Oh this isn’t coming out right. It’s not you, it’s…did you, the first time you were in the pub with Jackson, was it…did you feel different?”
“Yeah. To be fair though the time before that I’d punched him in the face. Not planning on doing that are ya?” He leans in and kisses him, all sort and sweet and he relishes it, still new enough to be a novelty. “Yeah, everyone’s going to be looking and talking about us, but that’s not going to go away until we go out there and let them.”
“I know you’re right, it’s just…” He wants to tell him, tell him about his Dad, how he made him feel, but now isn’t the time. One day though, one day he’ll tell him because he trusts him completely and he’s never felt that before about anyone. “Never mind, let’s go.”
“Robert…I can go on my own, if you really want me to.”
“No. Like you say, we can’t hide away up here forever.” It’s an appealing thought though, just him and Aaron, no one to bother them. Maybe when his arm was healed they could go away somewhere, anywhere but this village where everyone was watching.
“You can tell me, whatever it is that’s bothering you.”
“I know. Not today though, eh?”
It’s cold out, the end of summer hitting full force as they join the procession of people towards the church. The village always did like a good funeral, turning out in their droves all dressed in black. He and Aaron walk side by side, Chas just ahead with Diane. He’s gotten practised at ignoring her glares and Diane’s disappointed looks. Like water off a ducks back he’d have anyone believe, but deep down that disappointment cut through him as if it were his Dad himself passing opinion.
No one really notices, at least he thinks they don’t and it’s not like he and Aaron are acting any differently, but he can’t help but look around every few minutes in the church, feeling on edge like he hasn’t for ages. Aaron keeps looking over at him, and he knows he’s worried. In the end he squeezes his hand to let him know he’s alright.
After the service they follow to the grave, neither really bothered but they go all the same. The words are about Ross but you wouldn’t recognise him from them. He wonders idly what people would say about him, nothing good most likely.
“Come with me.” He whispers when everyone’s heading for the pub, Aaron following along silently as if he knows it’s important. He leads him over to his Mum’s grave, tidy as always thanks to Vic. He should visit more often, can’t remember the last time he did, probably that day when they were all here and Lawrence ruined it.
“Hi Mum. Sorry it’s been so long.” He doesn’t look over at Aaron, doesn’t want to see the look in his eyes if he thinks he’s daft. “Everyone’s going to find out soon, about me and Aaron, and it’s stupid, but…I wanted to tell you before because I know what people are going to say, but you wouldn’t. You’d be on my side and I know you’d love him. The two of you would most likely end up ganging up on me.” He falls silent doesn’t know what else to say.
“Are you alright?” He nods, sniffs a little but stands up next to Aaron.
“My Dad…he caught me one day on the farm, with this lad.” He feels Aaron’s hand in his, holding on tight. “Ever since then I’ve hidden it, pretended, lied, anything but accept the truth. I don’t want to do that anymore.”
“You don’t have to. I know it bothers you, what people will say, but they don’t matter. Not my Mum, not Diane or Andy.”
“Yeah.”
“We don’t have to go back to the pub you know. We can get in the car and get away from here if you like.”
It’s tempting, to drive and never stop, but he’s done running away. This is his home, he shouldn’t have to hide. He’s not the first person to have an affair, and he doubts he’ll be the last.
“No. We have to face it sometime. Might as well be when everyone is there. More efficient, wouldn’t you say?” Aaron laughs, shaking his head at him, and everything instantly feels better.
“Idiot. Come on then.”
The walk back is slow, they both might agree to get it over with but it seemed neither of them wanted to hurry. Vic’s on the step waiting for them when they reach the pub and his heart sinks.
“Chrissie’s inside.”
“How’s that car ride sound about now?” He asks Aaron.
“She can’t do anything. Come on.”
The place goes quiet the minute they walk in the door, Chrissie by the bar, eyes blazing. Everyone’s looking and he wants to run, would have if Aaron hadn’t had a death grip on his hand.
“Oh look, here he is. My husband everyone. You know everyone warned me. He’s only after your money, he’ll cheat on you the moment your back’s turned, but I wouldn’t listen. You always do like to meet expectations don’t you Robert?”
“I really don’t think now is the time pet.”
“Oh I think it is. I think everyone deserves to know exactly what he’s like. I’m only surprised that he’s still here and he hasn’t gone running to his bit on the side. What did she have that I didn’t? Hmm? More money?”
“Chrissie…”
“It’s pathetic.” It’s slow motion, the minute she realises, that split second she sees his and Aaron’s hands joined together and the penny drops and all he can do is stand there. “Oh. Oh I see now. It wasn’t more money…something a little rougher perhaps?” He grabs hold of Aaron as he steps forward. “You really had me fooled didn’t you. Let me carry on thinking you’d had your head turned by someone younger and prettier when all the time it was him!”
“It wasn’t like that.”
“Get a kick out of it do you? Running after someone’s husband, stealing them away?”
“Not sure it’s stealing really, considering he left you.” He can’t help but wince when Aaron speaks because he knows Chrissie and she won’t back down.
“Oh and what do you call seven months of sneaking around behind my back?”
“Fun.”
“Ok, that’s enough. Chrissie, I’ve apologised over and over so I don’t know what you want from me. Let’s at least try and be civil if we’re living in the same place, yeah?” He doesn’t see the glass of wine in her hand until she’s thrown it all over him.
“Drop dead!”
There’s a moment of complete hush and then the pub explodes into noise and he finds he can’t do anything, trying to wipe the wine from his face, Vic fussing and Aaron already turned to argue with his Mum. He just lets Vic lead him into the backroom and then it’s just them, Aaron closing the door behind him, probably in Chas’s face but he can’t be sure.
“Well that went well. Vic it’s fine.” He takes the towel from her, wiping his face dry. “Did you have to wind her up?” Aaron just shrugs. “Vic, pack it in, I’m fine!”
“Alright, mardy! I’ll leave you to it then shall I?” He nods, he loves her but he can’t deal with anyone right now. “Sorry, I didn’t mean to snap.”
“She’ll get over it.”
“Yeah. God what a mess.” He puts his head in his hands, feels Aaron sit down beside him, hand rubbing his back. “I didn’t want any of this you know. Not that…I don’t mean I regret…”
“I know. You know the offer of that car ride still stands. I mean, you’ll have to drive but…”
“That sounds good.” He kisses him, just savouring him a moment. “I better shower then. Don’t want to get pulled over smelling of wine do I.”
“Everything will be alright, Robert, in the end.”
“Yeah.” He gets up, then stops, fingers going to his left hand. “Time I left this behind don’t you think?” Aaron’s smile as he drops his wedding ring on the table makes everything worth it.

The Robron Break Ups: A Definitive Guide (Part Seven/How does one make the infinity sign on a keyboard)
Part One / Previous Part / All / AO3
Aaaaaand we’re back! Recap - Rob’s been shot and is in a coma, everyone is a suspect including our Aaron and now we’re firmly out of the Affair Era and into Who Shot Robert?
Thank you all for reading etc. You’ll quickly notice that we’re gonna SKIP THE HELL THROUGH ALL THIS BECAUSE I WANNA GET TO THE GOOD STUFF AYOOOOOO
ANYWAY, TIME TO FIND OUT HOW MANY TIMES ONE HUMAN CAN MENTION THAT AARON AND ROBERT ARE ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE DESPITE ALL THE HATRED AND WHATEVER. HAAAAAAY.
Part Seven: Hold Me Whilst I Fondle Your Life Support, My Love
Honourable Mention #23: 28th September 2015
So, Rob’s in a coma and everyone is being questioned by the police, Aaron included. Kerry tips an officer off to the fact that Aaron and Robert were all “hot and heavy” with each other. Aaron obviously doesn’t deny it, nor does he try to pretend that their relationship ended happily, but he tells the copper that it didn’t end badly enough for him to want to kill Robert.
Of course, literally MINUTES later, Aaron has taken himself off to the hospital to go visit his beloved coma Robert. They say that talking to coma patients is good for them, you know?
Only, Aaron is still GOD DAMN FURIOUS at Robert about the scrapyard argument and a little thing like almost dying isn’t gonna stop that, so this isn’t really so much a touching bedside scene as it is a MASSIVELY HORRIFYING DISPLAY OF COMPLETE HATRED.
HE STARTS OFF STRONG BY JUST SORT OF STROKING HIS FUCKING LIFE SUPPORT PLUG AS IF HE’S GONNA LITERALLY PULL IT AND END IT ALL HERE AND THERE AND TBH THAT SHOULD TELL YOU EVERYTHING ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE SCENE YOU’RE ABOUT TO WITNESS.
AARON IS LIKE “SEEMS A SHAME NOT TO SEE YOU LIKE THIS” TO COMA ROB AND THEN HE FUCKIN CALLS HIM PATHETIC.
AND THEN!!!!!! HE LITERALLY FUCKIN!!!!!!!!!! JUST GOES TO TOWN, SAYS “NOT SO COCKY NOW, ARE YA” AND READS ROB FOR TREATING EVERYONE LIKE DIRT, “LIKE THEY DON’T MATTER”. HE SAYS THAT HE MADE EVERYONE'S LIVES HELL AND HE DIDN’T EVEN CARE. ROB RECKONS AARON’S TAPPED? WELL AARON RECKONS HE MUST BE FOR EVER FALLING FOR SOMEONE LIKE ROBERT.
WOO WOO WOO WOO SOUND THE SICK BURN ALARM
SIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIICK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GOD HOLY DAMN AARON DINGLE
FINALLY, AARON SAYS THAT THE ONLY PERSON HE WANTS TO HURT IS ROBERT - THAT NO ONE’S GONNA MISS HIM, SO HE SHOULD “HURRY UP AND DIE!
HURRY. UP. AND. DIE.
What a love story.
Also Chas overhears all of this and assumes that Aaron has shot Robert (all the while, Aaron thinks Chas shot him - it makes them both act very dodgy towards one another for a while).
Of course, Aaron hasn’t and he never would because, as I think we can all see,
Honourable Mention #24: 6th November - 16th November 2015
There’s loads more plot about who shot Robert blah blah blah and then Aaron gets wrongly arrested (actually, like a billion and one people get wrongly arrested, but Aaron’s is the one that sticks the longest) and because he’s Aaron and was literally only serving a prison sentence a year ago, he’s forced to remain in prison custody until his hearing. Aaron struggles and it’s awful but we don’t really see it so Rob is in a coma and Aaron is in prison and I am left missing my messy sons and bLAHHHH. Oh, at one point they try to wake Robert up from his coma and Aaron just hangs around the pub all day refusing to talk to anyone, because he wants to know how Robert is as soon as possible.
BUT ANYWAY LET’S FAST FORWARD TO WHEN ROBERT IS AWAKE OK GREAT.
SO ROB IS AWAKE AND HE’S ALL “AAHHH WHAT HAPPENED” AND THEN DIANE AND VIC HAVE TO TELL ROB THAT AARON HAS BEEN ARRESTED AND CHARGED FOR ATTEMPTED MURDER AND ROB LOOKS FUCKING DESTROYED. Robert also doesn’t necessarily believe that Aaron did it - particularly given that the list of potential suspects is about eight miles long.
The fact that Robert’s behaviour has made him hated enough that MULTIPLE PEOPLE could have tried to murder him shakes him up enough that it actually sort of makes him rethink his entire life and attitude. Also, and I don’t know if it’s because near death experiences make you realise the fragility of life or whatever the hell, but he entirely gives up on his old “I WANT TO SPEND MY LIFE WITH MY WIFE CHRISSIE” tune and instead decides to embrace what he really wants from his life - Aaron.
Uh. He’s just gotta make sure that Aaron didn’t try to kill him first.
Aaron and Chas have a chat (or, they did on the day Robert got shot) where Aaron says that he doesn’t know how to stay away from Robert, or stop loving Robert and that he thinks that maybe the only way he’ll ever be free is for Robert to just disappear. Oh, Aaron.
It’s not true, honestly. Aaron is stubborn as shit and while yes, he’ll always love Robert, I think that… if Rob had never gotten his act together, never even tried to be better than who he was in 2015, Aaron wouldn’t have really gone back there (outside of maybe the occasional cheeky hook up lbr).
Robert gets discharged from the hospital and moves in with Victoria. He’s walking around like a timid deer, because he’s still not convinced that Aaron shot him. He asks Vic about it again and says “how can someone who loved me do this?” and then he says that when he sees Aaron at the hearing, when Aaron looks Robert in the eye, Robert will “know”.
Sure, bee.
The morning of the hearing sees Victoria as the only person convinced that the police must have got it right and Aaron must have shot Robert. Andy and Adam go off to court to support Aaron (Andy because he’s crumbling under his guilt that Aaron is currently in prison because of something he and Ross did) and Robert once again questions whether Aaron could have done it. He says that he needs Aaron to tell him the truth. Which. Be careful what you wish for Rob lmao.
The hearing starts and Aaron stands up looking, frankly, pissed at the world. Robert makes a dramatic late entrance and he and Aaron come properly face to face for the first time since the Scrapyard argument. They stare at one another, Aaron processing the fact that Robert isn’t just still alive, but well enough to be walking around (considering the last time he saw him, Rob was in a coma) and Robert trying to confront the idea that Aaron could ever have tried to kill him. It’s amazing tbh. TENSION EVERYWHERE!
They’re both apparently so #shook by this 2 second meeting that they immediately both LOSE THEIR TINY DERANGED MINDS.
Aaron pleads ‘not guilty’ to attempted murder, obviously, and the judge sets the court date and orders that Aaron continue to be remanded in custody. Robert, who is apparently not satisfied with any of this because he’s still desperate to know whether Aaron did it or not, stands up and yells at Aaron to just “tell the truth”.
Aaron spins around and, because apparently he can’t keep himself in check either, says that, if Rob wants to hear the truth, he’s got some fucking truth bombs to drop because Robert dESERVED EVERYTHING HE GOT AND SHOULD HAVE DONE THE ENTIRE WORLD A FAVOUR AND DROPPED DEAD.
AARON, YOU’RE TRYING TO CONVINCE THEM YOU’RE NOT GUILTY, YOU LUGGAGE TAG.
Aaron gets dragged out of court and Robert and Vic leave, Rob reeling at the fact that Aaron could ever hate him that much. Andy comes out and starts yelling at Robert for… believing Aaron shot him… even though…. this specific situation is actually…. Andy’s fault……….. Oh, Andy.
Andy knows this much and he’s struggling™ with the fact that Aaron is in prison, which Ross realises. Given that Ross is the actual person who pulled the trigger and shot Robert, he emphatically reminds Andy that if he confesses, Andy will never see his kids again. Because prison. Andy gets drunk and sits at Katie’s grave crying (again). Ashley sees him and goes to try and console him and Andy takes this opportunity to drunkenly let slip that he knows Aaron is innocent and more than that, implies that he is responsible for Robert’s shooting.
Ashley, being a Man of God, decides to track down Robert and tries to find a way to tell him what he’s heard, whilst still respecting the fact that people speak to him as a vicar in confidence. Still, he can’t live with knowing that Aaron is innocent and ultimately decides to leave a voicemail for Andy and mentions almost everything he knows, and then tells him that either Andy goes to the police or Ashley will.
Only Ashley accidentally leaves a voicemail on Robert’s phone instead and Robert… well, he’s Robert, isn’t he?
ROB CALLS ANDY AND GETS HIM TO COME TO THE SCRAPYARD AND WHEN ANDY GETS THERE, ROB CONFRONTS HIM. HE ASKS IF AARON IS INNOCENT. ANDY DOESN’T RESPOND. ROBERT SAYS “OK BRUV TELL ME THIS!!!! WHAT DID YOU DO ANDY?????
WHAT
DID
YOU
DO
?”
Rob quickly puts together that, as Andy couldn’t have faked his alibi, he must have had someone do it for him. Andy goes to defend himself and Robert yells “STOP LYING YOU LIAR”
Getting shot has really knocked ol’ Robbo off his insult game, I’ll be honest.
Andy can’t deny that he was behind Robert’s shooting and Robert looks actually hella heartbroken about this. He gets his phone out and calls the police, but Andy knocks the phone out of Robert’s hand and breaks it. Robert gets into his car, presumably to drive to the police station instead and Andy gets in his own car to start an INSANE CAR CHASE.
In the end they both get out of their cars and just start yelling at one another.
Andy admits to being behind the shooting and Rob is all “SO HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY AARON TO DO IT? BET HE DIDN’T NEED MUCH” in a sad lil voice. Andy says that it wasn’t Aaron and Robert is all “SO HE’S INNOCENT” because Robert is NOT ABOUT AARON BEING IN PRISON TBH
HE’S REALLY NOT ABOUT THAT LIFE
Andy refuses to tell Robert who shot him, says it doesn’t matter because he did it, Andy is the one who is responsible. Rob is all “YOU REALLY HATE ME THAT MUCH?” and Andy’s like “YOU KILLED KATIE!!!!!” and look, I’m as sad as the next person that Andy’s wife is dead and tbh I get it
Your brother killed your wife.
You’re gonna be pissed.
It makes sense. I get it.
But sometimes don’t you kinda wanna tell Andy to change the record? Just a little?
Rob once again tries to explain that it was an accident but gives up halfway through, because Andy’s clearly never gonna hear it and then he’s all like “YOU WANNA BELIEVE I KILLED HER? FINE! I KILLED THE BITCH. SO YOU TRIED TO KILL ME. NO, ACTUALLY, YOU GOT SOMEONE ELSE TO DO IT AND THEN YOU LET AARON TAKE THE BLAME”
Aaron taking the blame is a fundamental part of how pissed off Robert is, I need you all to understand this. If anyone else had been in prison, Rob probs wouldn’t have been careening down to the police station to sell Andy to the police quite so fast, let’s all be real here. Like, maybe eventually, but it wouldn’t have been the first thing Robert felt the need to do. Rob’s list of priorities on this day are, in no particular order:
Be upset that his brother hates him enough to try and kill him (again)
Free Aaron
Andy says he hasn’t killed Robert yet and Rob asks if he’s gonna finish the job off. It’s then that Andy points out that they’re at the same place where Max King died all those years ago - the accident that involved Andy and Max in one car and Robert in another, driving towards one another. Max grabbed the wheel and swerved at the last moment, leading to Andy and Max crashing. Robert pulled his brother out of the wreckage, Max died and Jack Sugden came along, placed the blame entirely on Robert and told him to leave the village.
They reminisce about this delightful moment where Robert and Andy were both involved in the death of another human and Andy says, in a strangely smug way, that that would have been the last time Robert ever spoke to Jack before he died. Robert can’t answer, but Andy pushes on, asks Robert what the last thing Jack said to Robert was.
Rob, now crying, says “Which part? The part where he put all the blame on me? Or the bit where he called me a lunatic and told me to just drive away forever and don’t come back?” as Andy yells, “DON’T COME BACK, YES” and tells Robert that he should have listened to him.
I get that I’m just transcribing this scene but it’s one of my favourite Robert scenes ever so WHY MAKE JOKES WHEN I CAN JUST BASK IN HOW FUCKIN INCREDIBLE IT IS?????
ROBERT IS EVEN MORE UPSET NOW, STILL CRYING, AND SAYS TO ANDY “YOU KILLED MUM AND HE HELPED YOU. MAX DIES AND HE DECIDES TO SEND ME AWAY?”
AND ANDY REALISES THE CRUX OF IT, WHAT THE PROBLEM HAS ALWAYS BEEN - THAT JACK LIKED ANDY MORE THAN HE LIKED ROBERT.
Andy of course, never realised that Jack knew about Robert’s bisexuality and beat him because of it, which is another ever-present unspoken layer to the immensely complicated and fraught Jack/Robert relationship - and the Robert/Andy relationship. Jack loved Andy so much more and Andy was the one who was straight. That shit can fuck you up, you know?
Robert says he tried - he tried to get away, as far away from the village as possible, but maybe it’s fate that they’re in this field. Maybe there’s only one way for them both to break this cycle of just… hating one another. Andy says he could - he could kill Robert and Robert tells him to and then Robert just fuckin loses it - tells Andy that this doesn’t end here, that Andy can’t just drive away, that Robert will come for him.
And then they both get in their cars and get ready to fuckin chicken 2.0 like the insane little boys they are.
Families are weird.
Ultimately, Robert swerves, but Andy doesn’t and he flips his entire car.
Robert sees and goes to drive off, leaving Andy to die or whatever, but he can’t do it and instead pulls Andy from the wreckage again, saving his life. He does this all with a gun shot wound, by the way, which is fairly impressive.
Vic and Adam choose this moment to pull up - Adam saw Andy and Rob fighting earlier and told Vic. They call the ambulance and everyone gets out safe and sound.
At the hospital, Vic is demanding answers but neither brother offers up the truth. Once they’re alone, Robert immediately asks Andy what they’re going to do about Aaron, because he can’t go down for something he didn’t do. Andy says he knows and he’ll sort it and then reiterates that he still sort of wants to kill Robert. Robert says that he tried to leave Andy but couldn’t, because no matter what either of them do, they’re brothers. Robert says that Emmerdale is where his family is and he can’t leave.
Ultimately Andy says that they can’t go on like this. He says that maybe he can believe that Katie was an accident, even if he’ll never forgive Robert for the rest of it - but the violence stops here.
Robert leaves and, apparently not content with Andy’s commitment to help Aaron ~~~at some point one day~~~, immediately calls DS Hart and gives a false description of his shooter that clears Aaron’s name.
The village reacts and everyone keeps saying the words “Robert got Aaron off” and I laugh every damn time.
Aaron gets home a few days later and returns as Rob is having a drink in the pub. They make eyes at one another and Aaron texts Robert to meet him outside - apparently to yell at Robert and accuse him of keeping him locked up just to mess with Aaron’s head.
AND IT’S FASCINATING BECAUSE ROB IS ALL SOFT WITH AARON AND WANTS TO MAKE SURE HE’S OK AND AARON IS LIKE “HAHAHAHA I HATE YOU XOXOXO” AND STORMS OFF AND LIKE
THIS IS THE START OF ONE OF MY FAVOURITE UNDERRATED ROBRON PERIODS: THE PERIOD WHERE AARON HATES ROBERT’S GUTS AND ROBERT IS OPENLY HEAD OVER FUCKING HEELS IN LOVE WITH AARON AND KEEPS MANUFACTURING EXCUSES TO SPEND TIME WITH HIM.
IT’S AMAZING.
Honourable Mention #25: 27th November - 30th November 2015
SO, it turns out that watching Robert get shot in front of her sadly left Chas with PTSD. Whilst suffering undiagnosed with, among a lot of other symptoms, hypervigilance and paranoia, Chas accidentally stabs Diane. Chas turns herself in and both Robert and Aaron spend the night terrified for the well-being of their mums. They have a little confrontation outside the pub the morning after and Aaron goes to leave, on his way to see Chas at the Police station with Paddy. Rob is all, “THAT’S RIGHT, RUN AWAY” and Aaron is all, “I’M NOT RUNNING ANYWHERE MATE” and they have some sexy angry eye contact and it’s great.
Also at this time is Chrissie’s trial for accidentally killing all those people. Robert is a key witness and Chrissie is hella concerned he’s going to throw her under a bus to get his own back for dumping him, or something. Lachlan hears this and corners Robert in the Cafe and asks him to do the decent human thing for once and not fuck over his mum. As he leaves the Cafe, Aaron enters - Aaron thinks that Robert knows who shot him and that maybe the guilty person was after Chas and has been responsible for stalking her ever since and ultimately driving her to stabbing Diane.
Aaron approaches Rob and says that he wants to talk and Rob is all “OH, ABOUT UR CRAZY MUM STABBING MY MUM”. Carly, who is serving at the counter, is all pack it in or take it outside, while Aaron is giving Robert a warning of “careful”.
Aaron then turns to Carly and says “bring his drink over, we’ll be over here” because Aaron knows he can still get Robert to do whatever the fuck he wants god bless.
It’s real real real real love.mp3
ROB ROLLS HIS FUCKING EYES AND LOOKS #TIRED BUT HE FUCKIN WALKS OVER TO AARON AND SITS THE FUCK DOWN ANYWAY.
AND THEN ROB IS LIKE, “WHAT?” AND TBH HE SOUNDS LIKE HE’S HALF USING HIS SOFT AARON VOICE. AARON ASKS HOW DIANE IS AND ROB SAYS THAT HE’S NOT TALKING TO AARON ABOUT THAT. AARON SAYS THAT HIS MUM IS IN BITS AND ROB NOT ONLY DOESN’T CARE BUT IS HAPPY THAT CHAS IS SUFFERING WITH ALL THAT STABBY GUILT.
AARON IS LIKE, “I NEED TO KNOW WHO DID THIS TO HER” AND THEN ASKS IF ROBERT IS SURE HE DOESN’T KNOW WHO SHOT HIM. ROBERT TRIES TO ACT #CASUAL BC HE DOESN’T WANT TO GET HIS BROTHER INTO SHIT AND AARON IS LIKE “WELL MY MUM THOUGHT THEY WERE AFTER HER AND NOT YOU” AND THEN ASKS ALL THESE QUESTIONS ABOUT WHAT ROBERT REMEMBERS ABOUT THE SHOOTER.
APPARENTLY ROB’S DESCRIPTION TO THE POLICE WAS “A TALL BLOKE” WHICH I GUESS AUTOMATICALLY EXCLUDED AARON.
RUDE.
AARON IS STILL PRESSING ROBERT AND ROB ISN’T SAYING ANYTHING BECAUSE HE DOESN’T KNOW WHO THE FUCK ACTUALLY PULLED THE GOD DAMN TRIGGER. AARON GETS MORE AND MORE DESPERATE, BECAUSE HIS MUM IS STRUGGLING, AND ENDS UP SAYING “ROBERT, PLEASE” AND ROB, BEING FUCKING WEAK AGAINST AARON BEING ALL VULNERABLE AND SAD AND SHIT, LOOKS ALL SAD AND CONCERNED.
AARON SAYS HE’S DESPERATE AND ROB CRACKS AND SAYS THAT IT WASN’T SOMEONE WHO WAS AFTER CHAS. AARON SAYS THAT ROBERT CAN’T KNOW THAT AND ROBERT SAYS, POINT BLANK, “I DO KNOW. HE WASN’T AFTER YOUR MUM. HE WAS AFTER ME. AND IT’S OVER NOW”
HE SOUNDS V UPSET ABOUT IT, SO I GUESS HE’S STILL NOT OVER HIS BROTHER TAKING A LITERAL HIT OUT ON HIM.
AARON QUESTIONS HIM AGAIN AND ROBERT ASKS AARON TO JUST TRUST HIM, THEN GETS UP TO LEAVE. AARON STANDS UP AND GRABS ROBERT’S ARM (....HAND???) AND ROB SPINS AROUND AND LIKE THEY COULD BE JUST HAVING SEX RIGHT HERE TBH THEY COULD BE BANGING RIGHT ON BOB’S FLOOR, JUST LOOK AT ALL THIS EYE CONTACT I’M HAVING THE BEST FUCKING TIME
ANYWAY, AARON LOOKS ROBERT DEAD IN THE EYE AND SAYS “YOU KNOW WHO SHOT YOU DON’T YOU.” AND IT’S NOT A QUESTION. ROB SAYS THAT THE PERSON WHO TRIED TO KILL HIM HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH CHAS AND HE SHOULD JUST LEAVE IT AT THAT AND THEN HE LEAVES.
Basically, they’re in love.
Honourable Mention #26: 1st December - 14th December 2015
Rob stands up in court and basically takes the blame for sending Chrissie to the brink and his hair looks terrible. Aaron tells Cain that Robert’s shooter had nothing to do with Chas and Cain says “WELL YOU’RE NOT THE BEST JUDGE WHEN IT COMES TO ROBERT, ARE YOU?” and like… fair play tbh. Other stuff happens and Chas ultimately gets treatment for her PTSD because Aaron refuses to give up until he gets answers and then until he gets help because he’s wonderful, even if his hair is not.
Robert warns Andy that Aaron might start asking questions about the shooting and Andy is like AARON AIN’T GONNA LET THIS DROP, HE’S AARON. SHUT HIM DOWN. like some sort of demented failure of a mob boss and Robert looks concerned and stuff. Also Robert would never be able to shut Aaron down~~ lbr.
Doug is not really much of a believer in Chas’ PTSD. He decides to open the pub at the same time as Zak and Aaron decide to do the same and the three clash over Diane and Chas. Doug and Zak ultimately decide to try and run the pub together, even though they’re arguing like cats and dogs.
Aaron and Robert bump into each other round the back like Romeo and fuckin Juliet, what with their families all ancient blood breaks to new mutiny etc. Robert says he’s sorry about Chas’ PTSD diagnosis and Aaron gives him a civil little nod. Except Rob is really trying to get Aaron off the scent of who shot him - which Aaron realises immediately.
See, Aaron cared about finding out for his mum, yes, but now that she’s getting help, he’s switched to caring about finding out who the fuck he served all that god damn time in prison for. And he ain’t resting til he knows “who pulled that trigger and why [Robert is] protecting them”.
Classic rivalry.
Doug is out working the bar and talking shit about the Dingles and Chas’ PTSD. No one is here for Doug’s misunderstanding of her mental health but especially not Aaron, who starts threatening Doug because threatening violence against old people is Aaron’s speciality.
Aaron retreats to the back and Robert follows him, spotting a cheeky lil opportunity.
He walks in there and says “You really need to listen” and Aaron isn’t really here for that, he’s mostly just worried about his mum. Rob is all, “You want Doug off your case and I’m your man” and Aaron says “YOU’RE NEVER GONNA BE THAT AGAIN XOXO” loooooool jokes not even slightly true good one baaaaabe
Robert is like “...maybe I deserve that” (whilst dying inside probs) and then says that maybe he can get Aaron to trust him again at least.
LIKE. ROBERT IS DOING THIS TO COVER ANDY’S TRACKS BUT HE’S ALSO HELLA DOING THIS TO TRY AND INCH BACK INTO AARON’S GOOD BOOKS AGAIN. WE NEED TO ALL JUST REALISE THIS REALITY.
AARON IS ALL “YOU KNOW WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR UR SHOOTING BITCH” AND ROBERT IS JUST FULL ON LIKE “YEP BUT IT’S NOT WHAT U THINK” and tbh at this point Aaron should have just assumed it was Andy bc who the fuck else out of the suspects would he cover for?
BUT ANYWAYS, ROB IS LIKE “I SWEAR ON DIANE’S LIFE I DON’T KNOW WHO SHOT ME” and that’s the truth i guess god bless. He then adds on, “it’s about a grudge that’s been going on a long time and you digging is only gonna fuck this up even more smh” which. Again. How does Aaron not put two and two together here god damn.
ANYWAYS Rob realises that Aaron has no reason to trust him so he offers him a deal - Aaron stops digging and Robert will get Doug off Chas’ case. Aaron accepts but says that if Robert lets him down, he won’t stop.
Because Aaron knows not to trust Robert.
CUT BACK TO THE BAR and Aaron and Rob are chilling out whilst Doug is still talking shit, bless him.
Aaron starts up the threats again and Rob tries to get onto Doug’s good side and then offers to have a word with Aaron. Aaron is all “what the hell bitch where’s your end of the bargain” and Rob is like “I am working on it but maybe try cutting out the fucking death stares” and then Aaron threatens Doug again because… idk Aaron just loves threatening violence against old people, it’s amazing.
Rob tries to get on Doug’s level by saying HEY LET’S PROVE CHAS IS FAKING HER PTSD and then suggests that they speak to Emma to get her to help prove it. Emma comes along and Robert and Doug go and sit with her to talk. Robert asks Aaron to help Zak behind the bar while they talk and Aaron, absolutely unwilling to help Robert help Chas, is all “since when did you give out orders?” and Rob rolls his eyes and says “Just do it please” and honestly
They’re basically married fight me.
Emma tells Doug that Chas is absolutely not faking her PTSD and that the doctors who have diagnosed her would know if she were trying to fake it to get off from punishment of stabbing Diane. Doug accepts this and offers Aaron an apology, because he’s a good and pure soul.
Aaron is characteristically the least fucking grateful human at Doug in response to this, but he gives Robert a little nod in thanks all the same.
THEY. ARE. IN. LOVE.
OK YOU KNOW WHAT, I’M STOPPING THIS HERE BECAUSE BABY, WE’RE HEADING INTO A NEW ERA IN THE NEXT PART, AS WE ALL WELL KNOW. Thank u for reading and i love u all.
Next up: Robert and Aaron might not technically be together, but emotionally speaking they’re back in a god damn relationship and there’s nothing u can do about it.

1/2 I want Kate the 'Robron love making" Kate, to add something too if she wants. So I was always conflicted with Robert & his feelings about Aaron. During the affair I was like he wants him but he is using him, HF/Chrissie was always Rob's first choice. There wasn't a dilemma to that. There was so much ambiguity/manipulation/lack of actual intimacy that I was sure it couldn't be anything beyond sex/power play for Robert. Then the lodge came & for once I saw for a few seconds raw emotions in Rob
2/2 And then only once scene convince me that Aaron meant something more for Robert. Something close to love. After the affair reveal he had a scene with Vic. When she told him that she wants him happy, Jack would have understood. When she told him 'I just want to find somebody y love' the way Ryan said 'I did. Chrissie' & then 'No' for Aaron 'it doesn't matter anw' It was obvious from Ryan's acting. So my question is to analyze Ryan's acting choice.
3. to this day, I'm can't figure out if the writers wrote Robert being in love with Aaron or if it meant for Robert to play Aaron and not have genuine feelings beyond lust. It was meant to be an affair not something deeper so... I'm still conflicted. Like Katie (RIP) x old Robert affair was written as a love story.
Hi Anon!
Okay, so, as always, let me preface that neither Kate nor I have the last name Stanislavsky, so our understanding of Ryan’s acting choices and Robert’s actions is very much filtered through personal opinions/feelings.
First things first, here’s @lesfemmesdangereuses thoughts and feelings. She loved this ask by the way. And please let’s now only refer to her as “Robron love making” Kate. It’s what she deserves.
tw: self harm
Kate (and like, for the sake of accuracy I’m gonna say that she sent me about 45 texts about this, but I’m putting it all in one line or this would rival the Odyssey. I love her): My take on this. Is that Robert fell in love way earlier than he let himself acknowledge. Bc we see his mask slip. He fucks up. So much. And this idea he only wanted CHRISSIE and HF. Works to a point. Except. You cannot. Work around the fact that he TOLD AARON THAT HE’D LIED TO HIM ABOUT KATIE’S DEATH AT THE LAY-BY. BC AARON SELF HARMING SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF HIM. NOTHING ABOUT HIM DOING THAT. WAS TO KEEP AARON IN LINE OR BE ABLE TO CONTROL HIM OR WHATEVER. IT WAS ENTIRELY BC HE LOVED AARON AND WAS SCARED FOR HIM AND HE TOOK A MASSIVE FUCKING RISK IN DOING IT. AND SAID THE PHRASE “I can’t just watch you fall apart”. Even while trying to murder Aaron’s mom. He was like. I’VE NOTICED HIS SELF HARMING FOR WEEKS HOW COULD YOU NOT NOTICE. HOME FARM WEEK WAS EXPLICITLY HIM WANTING TO LIVE DOMESTIC BLISS WITH AARON I JUST. And like. Robert was so fucked up and in denial. Which is another point actually. Which is that. CHRISSIE and Home Farm and money and power and what he thought would make his dad proud. Were all linked. Whereas why the robron emotionally intimate sex theory carries water. Is that him wanting to be with Aaron. Was just about Aaron. Every other person he’s slept with and been with there’s at least been one other main factor at play. Eg fucking over Andy. Lmao. Money, status. Aaron had nothing like that. Aaron was always such a huge risk. And he kept finding ways to be with him. So whole I see where people are coming from sort of with like. He chose Chrissie/HF over Aaron loads during the affair. Lmao he kept fucking. Choosing Aaron. In every way that mattered. Early damn on. He Confided in Aaron about so much. And tried to change because he knew Aaron was disappointed in him. Their relationship was so intense so early because they really fucking. Got each other right off the bat. And loved being around each other. And liked each other as people. Which is a nightmare. But Rob was so fucked up about himself. And Aaron’s self worth was very bad. And it was a mess because to everyone else. Eg Chas and Paddy. Rob was using Aaron bc the sex was good and he just cheats and doesn’t give a fuck just like always. But even Chas. Fucking saw the way he reacted when Aaron collapsed. And realized that nope, this isn’t just sex. TLDR. I THINK IT’S HARD TO SPECIFICALLY DATE BUT. ROBERT WAS ABSOLUTELY HEAD OVER HEELS FOR AARON P EARLY ON. HE CARED ABOUT HIM LOADS. HE TOLD AARON PERSONAL SHIT REALLY FUCKING EARLY. HE WANTED TO HAVE WYLIES FARM AS A PLACE FOR HIM AND AARON TO LIVE. LITERALLY EVEN BEFORE KATIE DIED. HE BELIEVED IN AARON SO MUCH AND WOULDN’T LET HIM GET DOWN ON HIMSELF OVER THE SCRAPYARD. LIKE. HE RISKED SO MUCH SO CONSISTENTLY TO SEE AND BE WITH AARON. AND IT WAS V CLEAR FROM THE BEGINNING. IT WASN’T EVER GONNA BE JUST SEX. THAT HILARIOUS SCENE WHERE THEY’RE BOTH JUST LIKE. OK YES WE ARE HAVING AN AFFAIR. IS SO FUNNY. BC THEY ARE BOTH JUST LIKE. RUDE TO EACH OTHER. AND IT’S NOT EVEN A PRELUDE TO THEM HAVING SEX. AARON IS ANNOYED AF WITH ROB WHO IS LIKE AARON THIS IS HOW U HAVE AN AFFAIR. LIKE RIGHT OFF THE BAT IS INVOLVED EMOTIONS. AND IT CONTINUES FOREVER AND EVER. DESPITE ROB LYING TO HIMSELF P CONVINCINGLY AT TIMES. Ok I am done.
Me: What she said.
Jk. If you managed to get this far down, congrats though.
I’d say that, especially during the affair days, we were very much meant to see an ambiguity and opaqueness to Robert’s feelings for Aaron. I think ultimately we know from the Lodge that he was, and like, he was having as full breakdown there and usually people having a breakdown don’t lie lmao. I think Robert wasn’t necessarily meant to be a long term character at the time, so the ambiguity suited them well, in terms of writing. BUT what I think is really interesting, is that they started writing him as waaaaay more explicitly and vocally in love with Aaron ever since they decided to “redeem” him the first time around with Who Shot Robert and then the abuse sl.
So like. My opinion is that it’s open to interpretation, but Kate gave you a really interesting break down of why you might want to buy into hers!

Evaluation
Project evaluation;
My timeline; I started writing songs when I was 7/8 years old. I was in a girl band called the diamond pink lashes. It consists of 3 people and we all assigned each other different parts. I was the song writer, one girl was the choreography and the other was in charge of merchandise. We used to do shows in our communal garden for all our neighbours. Then when we moved, I started writing a lot more as my mum always corrected me on my spelling. I started writing about bullying as I was bullied in school for wearing glasses. As time went on, I got deeper into depression and anxiety. I suffered with an eating disorder when I was 13/14. I have so many note pads of unfinished lyrics still to this day, even in my planner at school. Coming up to 15, is when I first performed in front of my first audience at platform. The track was called "societies to blame" based on the issues we face today. At 16, I made my first song called "don't let go" which is about not letting depression get the better of you. 17 is when I released my first EP and now I'm doing the urban development course with Tileyard.
Musical time line 'inspired artists';
I'm 1998, My nan was always obsessed with Elvis and my mum was with madonna so I mainly heard them. I used to hear people like usher, destinys child and notorious B.I.G.
1999 is when I heard Britney Spears, TLC, JLO and Enrique Iglesias. 2000 is when I started dancing to artists such as Christina Aguilera, Pink, Santana, Nelly and N Sync.
2001 is when I first heard of Missi Elliot. She inspired me a lot still to this day. She as a lot of energy and is so lyrically gifted.
2002 is when I started listening to people like Eminem, April lavigne, sugarbabes and Sean Paul. By this time I started developing my own sense of music which was an up beat tempo style which I loved.
2003 is when the uprising of Beyoncé was thriving through the music charts, along with people like 50 cent, Black eye peas and Outkast.
2004 is when I grasped on to dancing a lot more when I heard "cha cha slide" by DJ Casper. Anastasia was My favourite at the time because our family used to do 'sing star night' on the PlayStation and I loved singing 'left outside alone'. This is when I started listening /getting inspired by Chris brown.
2005 is when pussycats evolved for me aswell as people like akon, Rihanna and mario.
2006, I loved shakira as she made more cultural music and o loved James blunt for his words to "you're beautiful".
2007, was timberland, Sean Kingston, Soulja boy and Leona Lewis.
My favourite song from 2008 would be '4 minutes' by Madonna and Justin Timberlake. I loved this song because the video was very creative and it was a mixture of old sound with new to me. Justin timberlake showed a newer sound compared to Madonna and I absolutely loved the outcome.
2009 is when I was obsessed with the boy band JLS from Xfactor. I admired them because I loved how they composed their songs together in the group and let's face it, I was a fan girl of this new creative, gorgeous boy band.
2010 is when I listened to Katy perry, Bruno mars and the song "love the way you lie" by Rihanna and Eminem. I loved how the song fitted perfectly with rap and slow type hip hop.
2011 was filled of lady gaga, Jessie j, Jason derulo and pitbull.
2012, was flo rida, Nicki minaj, and Macklemore.
2013 was passenger, one republic and miles Cyrus.
2014, pharrel Williams, Jess Glynn and fuse odg. I loved the music from fuse odg as it was so addictive to dance to.
2015, ferry wap, Justin bieber and Ellie Goulding.
2016 was an interesting one as I started hearing more of future, desigiiner, drake and g-eazy.
Now, I listen to a variety of uk artists and American artists but I like the uk rap scene such as people like j hus, mo stack, Dave, giggs, krept and Konan, chipmunk, yungen and wstrn.
I've gone through variety of genres from evanescence to reaggaeton but I would say that I'm focused on Hip/hop or uk rap scene music.
I would say all of the artists above from this point, reflect on me as I'm inspired by all of them. To me, a song has to have meaning. It must be a feeling of some sort that expresses who you are as a person, whether it's personal or relatable. The most I'm inspired by is Chris brown as he's been doing music from a young age and is still rising up with his new album containing 45 new songs. I like to think that I love black music because of the way it is done. I love the fact black people can come together, dance and call each other family. I like the idea of their peace and harmony when they dance. I'm absolutely inspired by their culture. I love any music I'm able to move my feet to because it makes me happy and more confident in my skin.
My new goals are to make a variety of tracks to different genres to show that I love diversity and a good challenge. I love the idea of different kind of music but from the same artist to show that everyone can come together and celebrate music.
The new action I would take to do so would be to make my own beats/ instrumentals to create and do research on how certain genres are made. To me, I think if you can do every genre, you'll be able to reach out to people every where around the world. I think this would be a great idea as it will show I'm not showing any injustice to any musical culture or creativity

It’s stirring up a lot of discussion and emotion among Emmerdale fans and there are many directions that the storyline developing between Robert Sugden, Rebecca White and Aaron Dingle could go as it continues.
So far, Robert and Rebecca have slept together and Rebecca is now pregnant with an on edge Robert fearing that Aaron will discover what happened. We have now seen Rebecca telling Robert that the baby is his before viewers then discovered that Robert’s subsequent order that she has an abortion isn’t the first time the pair have ended up in this situation.
But where do the characters go from here? One thing’s for sure, there are more twists and turns ahead and the potential outcomes are numerous – everyone has a different theory, so here are the most prominent potential paths the storyline could take.
Robron split up
The truth has to come out eventually and when the inevitable showdown explodes, it would take a lot for Aaron to get his head around Robert’s betrayal. Given that Aaron once had huge paranoia around Robert’s relationship with Rebecca and was reassured by him over his fears, the fact that Robert slept with her while Aaron was enduring the trauma of being abused in prison would be a devastating blow.
Whether temporarily or for good, the prospect of the couple going their separate ways after this heartbreak comes into play is a real one but fans remain divided over whether this is what they want with some believing that Robert has gone too far and others retaining the belief that the couple can salvage things.
Rebecca is lying
It’s a rumour that has been doing the rounds for some time – is Rebecca even pregnant at all? We have seen the test but could she have found a way to fake the pregnancy? And did Rebecca and Robert even sleep together at all – or was he so drunk that he passed out before things went any further?
They’re quite long shots but many viewers reckon that Rebecca’s jealousy over Robert and Aaron has driven her to the extreme measures of trapping Robert in a situation that isn’t as bad as it seems.
However, factors such as her not being the one who told Robert she was pregnant and the fact that she seems genuinely upset do go against this theory. But nothing is impossible in soapland.
Aaron finds out and forgives Robert
One thing is for sure – Aaron will find out one way or another. But could his love for Robert and his husband’s genuine show of remorse bring a different outcome to a split? Aaron will be hurt and destroyed but can Robert prove his devotion to their family unit and future to the point where Aaron feels they can recover with time?
The pair have genuine feelings for each other and with Iain MacLeod recently teasing that they would find a way through the rollercoaster ahead, there still seems to be hope on the horizon.
The baby is someone else’s
Rebecca seems utterly convinced that Robert is the father – but is everything as it seems? Given that Ross and Rebecca took lots of precautions, it seems unlikely (although not impossible given that contraception can fail) that he is the dad.
However, could a further twist lie in store? Might there be a secret third contender? Up until this point, things had been fairly quiet for Bex for a time but that’s not to say that there can’t have been something else going on that we are yet to become aware of…
Custody war
For now, Robert is absolutely adamant – he doesn’t want Rebecca to have this baby and he has even turned threatening in a bid to try and force her to have an abortion. However, if Rebecca later does give birth to Robert’s child and he and Aaron have moved on from the betrayal by then, might he have a change of heart and decide that he doesn’t just want to be in the child’s life, he wants outright custody for himself and Aaron?
With the argument that Home Farm has regular shootings, framings and people falling through glass tables, perhaps he might have a decent fight to take to Rebecca.
Robert kills Rebecca
There was no denying that hint of threat in Robert’s voice as he confronted Rebecca over her plans for the baby and some fans are getting Katie-esque vibes over the situation – could Rebecca be about to meet a sticky end in order for Robert’s secret to be preserved.
Robert goes to extreme lengths to protect what he wants to keep and, while he didn’t outright murder Katie, he was willing to cover up her death and later, he also made an attempt on the life of Paddy and hired a hitman to silence Chas.
Does he still have the hitman’s number and could Rebecca be about to meet a grisly end?
Rebecca gives up her baby to Adam and Victoria
Rebecca and Victoria have become fairly close and Victoria was the one Rebecca first confided in about the pregnancy – albeit through no choice of her own given that Vic had already sussed it out. With Victoria and Adam struggling to conceive and Rebecca admitting that she isn’t ready to be a mum, might there be a surrogacy storyline ahead which will see Victoria and Adam arrange with Rebecca that they will bring up her child?
And how would that go down with Robert?
Ross shoots Robert – again
As Ross starts to blackmail Robert, he initially just wants some cash out of him – but if he were to find out how he had behaved with Rebecca and that he threatened her in his bid to force her to have an abortion, might he see red and take revenge on her behalf?
Last time, he shot Robert and has gotten away with it – so might he be tempted to do the job properly this time?
Aaron already knows
Aaron is devoted to Robert and trusts him and nothing in what he is saying or his body language suggests that Aaron knows what Robert has done with Rebecca but it still seems to be a theory that is out there. Is Aaron aware of Robert’s actions and is now biding his time, allowing Robert the opportunity to come clean?
Robert has been acting suspiciously (and has done a fair bit of ‘sorting things out at the haulage yard’) but we personally don’t buy that Aaron could retain normality with Robert if he knew what had happened and that Robert was lying to him. But again, nothing is impossible…
