thinking about Tirazel as a romancable companion has made me a little ill.... she has a history of manipulative people dating her and using her for her father's connections/money/to further their own interests and she's often agreed despite knowing they're manipulating her because 1. she wants to spite her dad 2. she hates herself and unrequited desire feels 'normal' and 'what she deserves'

like for Tirazel, a relationship in which you lie about your feelings and manipulate is just. normal. "this is all just a silly act. ha ha. flirt flirt flirt. promises we won't fulfil. honeyed words. sweet words. false words. this is how it goes." if you try and go off-script in act 1, she'll correct you / bicker with you, will tell you not to pretend you're interested in anything else, won't even hear otherwise. in act 2, she'll outright confront you about exactly what you want off her because it's been 'too nice' / she's worried, because you've not tried to get one over on her yet.

but the thing is, Tirazel desperately wants to love someone genuinely and openly. She will give you her heart fully if you are patient with her and consistently demonstrate that your feelings are genuine. It takes her time to come around to this, but she will bare that part of her soul. And she will be sweet and loyal and protective to you too. She's a closet romantic and really desires something equally romantic - but private. She'll go from showy flirtation in act 1 that she'll tell you 'is just for show, is part of the game darling' to private, intimate, meaningful gestures in act 3.

honestly ironic that it was a folie 8 ball on the night they didnt play any mania

i have said this before but mania is currently undergoing the same process folie has been undergoing the last few years, it’s just earlier in its timeline. maybe it’s not been entirely the reaction and treatment from the fans and more the personal frustration and emotions associated with the album for the band, but the fan reactions could possibly play a part in why they’re reluctant to play these songs compared to the other albums.

folie underwent this same process - after the break patrick didn’t even want to play the songs from it, and it’s only in the last few months that they’ve added them back with any confidence. I’m hopeful that the reaction from the fans to these songs being integrated into the setlist encourages the band that they can do this with mania too. they have said multiple times that they are proud of mania and they stand by what they did on that album, and i hope in tours to come they can play songs from mania and not worry about how fans will react (and also have grown from this tour cycle enough to be confident and comfortable as well).

Imma be real I was a bit disappointed at the Vanny is Vanessa twist because off how it got spoiled already by SteelWool and stuff but I'm fine with it now!!! But oughhh rip my old Vanny design you will be my oc now!! I think I was just bummed because they kept hinting at it and like the first human character revealed and the enemy being a furry is like huh istg if she ends up being the security guard... I think I wouldn't have mind if Ness had more screentime tbh!!

So back then I hoped Vanny was separate from Vanessa and they both had similar names so Glitchtrap wanted to frame Nessie for the murders due to it. Same with Glam Freddy and Greggy think it was Vanessa who was the bad guy at first like gasps Vanessa + Bunny = Vanny!! Also they're both fake blondes and dye their hair often!! (There's more to it but I'd end up rambling)

First time drawing textured hair digitally I hope to improve more on it in the future because oughh Vanny deserves it!!!

Headcanon'd that Twilight Velvet was a royal guard and Night Light's a hecking nerd. Velvet retired when she became a mom and Shining Armor wants to be like his mom when he's growed up. <3

Ermmmmm other little things,,,,, Velvet has a tiny tiny lil horn and is very dookie at magic, but she makes up for it in physical prowess. She's courageous and craves adventure, kinda brash tho. How'd she end up in a family full of nerds........... I think she'd find Night Light a bit dopey and different from the knuckleheads she surrounds herself with in the guard. He loves books and is a little bit awkies, but she thinks he's cute. <3 The come from starkly different backgrounds, Night Light more on the aristocratic side of Canterlot and Twilight Velvet rising up through the ranks and having come from no line of nobility. Somewhere in the scheme of things, Velvet also has a brother (The mentioned uncle in the finale of s2) who is in the guard as well.

Also headcanon that despite the lanky and built different genes he inherited, Shining Armor's a bit on the geeky chub side of things. Probably spent a lot of his time as a kid playing Ogres and Oubliettes and reading and whatnot. Similarly to how his talents are portrayed in the show, I think he'd excel at defensive magic as opposed to offensive like his mother. Something something getting bullied something something standing up for/protecting others.

one of the things I love about haylijah is that the entire relationship is on hayley’s terms. she’s the active party in their dynamic (if she wants something she takes it!).

she pursues him. she sets the ground rules. she challenges him to take her or leave her. he might have no problem showing how he feels through acts of service, but when he takes too long to vocalize the depth of those feelings, she tells him to give her space (because while she is a woman of action, she’s also the queen of communicating how she feels.) when they break up, it’s because she decided it’s what’s best for the life that she wants, and he respects that. she’s the one who seeks him out, even when he’s off in amnesia land.

I know people have hangups about the girl loves boy more trope, but sometimes it can be so satisfying to see a woman’s feelings and desires be the center of a romance. and their relationship isn’t built entirely around hayley always being the one making those big moves. she sets the pace, but elijah meets her there. he chooses her in season one and he does so again in season three. even without memory he’s drawn to her. that’s the push and pull of their relationship, hayley sees something that she wants and goes for it, and elijah in return, matches her energy and then some.
