High School Sweethearts pt.5 - Chris Sturniolo

A/n: I wrote this listening to Melanie Martinez😍 I hope u enjoy the cuteness and happiness because it won’t last long what who said that?😨 I’m totally kidding..👀😅 bit of a slightly longer chapter so y/n and Chris can have a part fully just to them

“It’s a date then.” I smile up at him as we walk through the streets of Boston, “I know a place you will love.” Chris smiles and leads me down an alleyway, “you’re not gonna kill me right?” I joke. He looks back and rolls his eyes, before we come out the other side of the alley and we are near a bunch of stores.

“There.” Chris points across the road at a cute little cafe, ‘J’adore Coffee’ he looks to me for my reaction and I smile as I notice the red and wooden interior through the window.

“Come on!” Chris pulls me across the road and we enter the cafe, there’s satin curtains tied either side of the window, red wallpaper and wooden panels on the wall. It’s decorated with cute circular tables with white table clothes lined with red and hearts. There’s a lot of fake plants and cute portraits of Paris and other things. The front counter has an open glass revealing an arrangement of all sorts of sweet treats, and to the side are sandwiches and warm savoury foods.

On the counter is a cute little chalk board displaying what food items they have available for lunch. “I love it here Chris.” I whisper as I take in the dangling orb lights and vines on the ceiling, the cafe not too busy except for 3 tables which have people sat up to them. “I knew you would.” He smiles down at me.

“May I help you.” A woman asks, directing my attention to her, she was a middle aged lady wearing a red button up short sleeve shirt and a white apron. “Yes, what do you want to get?” Chris asks me smiling. “Could I have the BLT sandwich please?” I ask the lady politely and she nods her head, “of course sweetie, what about you?” She asks Chris.

“I’ll get the maple waffles please.” The lady nods at Chris and he pays “okay would you like to sit down? We can bring it to y’all.” “Okay thank you.” Me and Chris both say before sitting down at a table against the wall. He sits opposite me. “Only a BLT? They have waffles and pancakes here too.”

“Yeah I’m just not too hungry, but a BLT sounded nice.” I lie, smiling reassuringly to Chris, I was kinda hungry I just didn’t want him to spend too much money. “okay, thank you by the way.” He looks into my eyes, his full of adoration. “For what?” I grin, feeling genuine happiness which I haven’t felt in quite sometime.

“For being here with me, letting me take you on a date, you know. I’m glad we met, not tryna be corny or any shit.” He laughs softly, “thank me falling asleep in class, because then I never would’ve been in detention,” I chuckle “but I’m glad we met too and thank you, you didn’t have to pay.”

“Are you kidding? I would spend any amount of money to be able to be on a date with you.” We both laugh, not too loudly as to not disturb the others enjoying their meals. “That was corny right?” Chris asks me awkwardly, I nod and softly giggle as he also laughs.

“Here you are.” A man puts a tray infront of us, with Chris’ waffles, my BLT and a pot of a maple syrup. “Thanks.” Chris says to the man before he walks away.

We eat our food and laugh and talk and Chris leaves a tip before we leave.

“Let me walk you home.” He looks down at me, “okay thank you Chris.” I smile up to him and he returns the gesture. “Walk here,” he moves me to the inside of the sidewalk. “Such a gentleman.” I half joke and he rolls his eyes, “don’t make it weird y/n.” We laugh.

About 10 minutes pass and we are not far from my house, we are both silent but it’s not an awkward silence more of a comforting one, the only noise is our feet on the concrete and some distant cars and birds tweeting overhead. “My mom’s not gonna be home for at least 4 hours.” I sigh, breaking the silence.

“So you can come in, if you want?” The corners of my mouth softly lift, “yeah of course, school should be ending in a few minutes.” Chris replies as we turn down my street. “My house isn’t the biggest, but it’s just me and my mom so you know.” I shrug. “I’m not gonna judge your house y/n, I’m not an asshole.” He puts his arm around my shoulder for me to feel comforted.

“Evan judged my house.” I whisper, Chris looks at me and rolls his eyes, “Evan is a dick, don’t let him judge anything about you.” He reassures me, “thank you Chris.”

We approach my house, I point it out to Chris, “that’s not bad at all! it’s so nice.” He smiles as we walk up the path, “my mom always makes sure the garden and house are tidy, she’s always cleaning whenever she’s not working.” I laugh as I unlock the door. Chris looks around in awe at the neatness and cosyness of my house.

“This is so cosy what the fuck.” Chris sounds almost surprised, “are you surprised?” I ask. “Yeah you made it seem like it was gonna be really bad, I wouldn’t judge you either way but this is so nice.” He smiles to me. “Oh thanks.” I smile back.

“My rooms up here.” I lead him upstairs into my small hallway containing of three doors, my bedroom, my mother’s, and the bathroom. I open my bedroom door and god am I happy that I tidied my room the other night.

“Woah it’s so..” he looks around.. “girly..” he smirks at my pink and white satin bedsheets and pink wallpaper. “What can I say? 10 year old me picked the wallpaper and I wanted my room to match so I made it work, plus it’s cute.” I turn to face him. “It’s so.. what’s that word, that pink word with the bows and shit.” I let out a small giggle. “Coquette?”

“Yeah that’s the one.” We laugh, “you can sit on the bed.” I sit down patting the bed next to me for Chris to sit next to me.

“So..” Chris says. “So?” I reply, the air around us gets slightly awkward as we sit on my bed. We just look at each other for a moment before I break the tension. “Do you want to kiss me?” I ask lowly. Chris’ eyes widen and he smiles leaning into me “yeah, I didn’t know if you wanted it..” he place his hand onto the side of my face, “of course I do.” I whisper before we bring our lips together.

Instantly our lips connect like a perfect puzzle piece, like our lips were supposed to be together. Slowly the kiss turns into more of a make out as Chris’ tongue slowly makes its way into my mouth and I let him take control. We both understood the rhythm perfectly and it felt so right to kiss him.

His hand made its way down to my thigh as he rubs circles on it, I ignore the growing heat between my thighs, a feeling I’m unfamiliar with. The air is full of lust which replaces the once awkwardness that was there.

“Have you ever..” Chris breaks the kiss to look at me, “ever what?” I whisper. He looks down between my legs at back up at me, “if you’re asking if I’ve ever had sex.. then no, I’ve had chances but, they never felt right.” I swallow nervously. “Okay, just wondering,” he smiles reassuringly, “what about.. uh have you ever done anything, to yourself?” He asks me, trying to figure out what I’m comfortable with.

I nod, “yeah.” I breath. “Do you want me to.. I could help you with, becoming more comfortable, only if you want!” He holds my hand and maintains eye contact. Something feels different when I’m around Chris, like I can trust him, like I want him to.. my dream about him a few nights ago is practically gonna become true.

“Yes.” Is all I reply with. His eyes light up, “really? I can use my fingers first, to make sure you’re fully comfortable with me.” He places a kiss to my forehead, I nod “yes.. please.” I smirk, and Chris looks at me, “I’m proud of you.” He whispers.

I wrap my arms around his and he hugs me back.

“I’m gonna remove these, is that okay?” He looks up at me for consent. He puts his hand at the waistband of my sweatpants, “yes Chris, I want this.” I smile, “if you want me to stop anything I’m doing, just say stop and I will listen straight away I promise.” He nods as he looks into my eyes, his blue eyes piercing through my own eyes.

“I trust you.” I assure him, he pulls down my sweatpants and discards them on my floor. Leaving me in my cami top and red panties, “lay back for me?” Chris asks and I do as he says. He looks at me and I nod before he removes the underwear I had on, “so perfect” he whispers as he kisses my collarbone.

“Can you spread your legs for me?” He asks “okay.” I say quietly, trying to contain my excitement. It feels so right to do this with Chris. He rubs a finger over my heat, causing me to shudder from the sudden sensation, he looks up to me for any signs of discomfort but I’m fine, “so wet already.” He smirks at me, planting a kiss on my neck.

It was a case close to home, now the case had been wrapped up, you planned on staying one more night (spend celebrating in the bar and then sleeping in the hotel) and then you were taking them to your house to meet your family. This case being close to home though, also meant that you could bring Buddy with you to see his grandparents (which is where he currently was whilst you had a night of freedom before staying at your parents house).

"Let's get a move on then!" Garcia declared.

You drove them all to the bar, missing your truck as you did so. SUV's always hit different. Three drinks in (three drinks for everyone else, you were still making your way through your first pint - you weren't a big drinker), a woman approached you.

"(Y/N)? No way!" You turn at the familiar voice and meet face to face with your ex, Rose. She looks good, she's wearing shorts and a tank top, matched with cowboy boots and a hat. She's still pretty. 'She ain't got nothin' on JJ,' A small part of your brain chimes in, but you shrug it away. Nothing could happen anyway. A twinge of sadness swept through your stomach.

"Rose? Oh wow, it's been a while,"

Rose laughs, "I'll say! How ya been?" She brushes her hair off her face as she talks and you grin.

"Not too bad, just workin' mostly," You say with a nod.

"Hey, cowboy, you gonna introduce us?" Morgan smirks.

"Everyone this is Rose, Rose this is Morgan, JJ, Prentiss, Hotch, Rossi, Reid, and last but not least The Penelope Garcia."

Stage 1- First meeting: Unbeknownst to Yuuna, who was desperately trying to blend into the expectations surrounding her, Vil saw beyond the facade and glimpsed the strain in her eyes. Their initial interaction was polite, it was on book 2, where the moment she stepped on the room it was that silly saying “love at first sight”, but definitely she had a small puppy crush on him, she would tend to notice him more often than before, not just because he is a housewander, but he had a charm… Nothing too intriguing or away from casual happened; there lingered an unspoken connection that neither of them could ignore, but that would be reviewed later on.

Stage 2- Deal with the Schoenheit: In book 5, Vil had an idea for how to win people’s attention for his upcoming competition with Neige LeBlanc: Dating someone, if he showed to be gentle not just with fans and cameras but with a partner, maybe it would catch others eyes. After class, he proposed the idea of a fake dating scenario to Yuuna, a friend, and thought he didn’t knew her for not that long, it seemed like the perfect solution, she had the elegance and pretty. Without counting, people were intrigued by the magicless girl, and how she helped and fought 4 overblots, who wouldn’t like to look further more up on them?

Stage 3- Fake it and pretend it: It started simple; they had to pretend as if not wanting to get caught on public together, but oddly enough, they would be weirdly close whenever “out of public”, the first one to noticed was Floyd who told Azul immediately. And with that, the rumor started. After the rumor spread, it was more obvious, he would drop off her in class, she would sit down with Vil instead of Ace, Deuce and Grim. The bomb it was when Jamil was back to get something he had forgotten when he was practicing, he caught along with Kalim; even though it was only one kiss and Vil promised never to do it again… Yuuna feel like she wouldn’t mind doing it again. After that, they would walk to class holding hands, he would kiss her forehead, hold her waist, gift her flowers and all those things. Just two more weeks.

Stage 4- First one to fall: Yuuna just had one problem, she started to become more what she thought Vil wanted her to be, just like she did with her parents. She was a mirror of what people input expectations over her, as the girlfriend of a famous model like Vil. So, one day the panic was stronger, she missed the first period of class until Vil comes to see her; Yuuna was laying on the floor, hugging her knees and crying. Afraid to have the same problem she had with her parents all over again, after all she finally was able to get a personality of her own. The more Vil approached, the more he notices her afraid of him. Yuuna had bad memories and was taught that cry is for the weeks, so he expected the rightful punishment, but instead… He stays there for her reassuring it’s okay and he has the time to hear her. After that, Yuuna has fallen… She had fallen for Vil, for his dedication and understanding. And for finally feeling appreciated. There’s one week left.

Stage 5- We still pretending, right?: After that, Yuuna has got more comfortable around Vil. She felt save, and she did pushed herself trying to make advances on Vil (she never did so), at least she tried. And Vil- He was confused, suddenly everything he was doing didn’t felt only platonic or a pretend relationship. It felt he wanted that with her… But his mind immediately stop the thoughts, one day she would go back home and her home is not in that world. Why hope for something stupid? No wishing well would make that one come true. Half of a week to go.

Stage 6- Ink flows: Vil poisons Neige. That was the shock for his overblot, he tried to take out his opponent! The overblot caused everything to decay, everyone was tired after the fight, Vil was recovering and Yuuna… Well, she was the one who jumped in front of Vil when she saw something that was going to hurt him falling down. Yuuna rushes to not get Vil hurt, and she was able to do so. But now she is also the one who needs rest, she quietly lays on the bed of the nursery. When she hears the door crack open in the middle of the night, “Yuuna?”

Stage 7- The public saw enough: They are similar, aren’t they? Vil lived on the shadows of the main characters. Yuuna is the shadow, the reflection, the dark. Everything but, the hero of their stories… Their own stories. Vil was wrong he knows that, Yuuna didn’t tried to defend him, as she was too disappointed to say anything about it. Not disappointed to him, she was mad, but she knew the pain he felt… That’s the point; Yuuna was disappointed with herself because she knew how he felt and she doesn’t know how to make him not feel that. “I don’t think we need to pretend more, right?” She asks Vil. Yuuna was tired of the pretend game, she caught feelings that were never going to be spoken out loud, and Vil… Still missing for some things for his puzzle of feelings. “Yeah, I think we are done. Thank you for your help, Yuuna.” He says his heart breaking as if really going through an actual break up. Looking away Vil ties his hair up trying to get the fresh air better. It all felt suffocating. Meanwhile Yuuna stands looking at the door, she wants to do what she has in mind, she can’t.

Stage 8- The finale: It’s been long enough, after the SDC’s results Rook told Vil to trust himself more and this would be his the key, right? So he trusts that Yuuna likes him back… He hopes, at least. After all, Vil, despite his initial disdain for fairy tale illusions, couldn't deny the allure of Yuuna's true self. He liked that side, the side where she doesn’t work for people’s expectations, but she works for herself. That’s what made him fall.

Vil: What are we?

Yuuna: Friends, right?

Vil: No… What are we, Yuuna?

Yuuna: . . . ?

Vil: *Sighs* I just… I just cannot seem to ignore that half things I did with you were just a platonic or pretend thing.

Yuuna: . . .

Vil: Sevens… Say something!

Yuuna: . . .

Yuuna: You have the most beautiful heart, I’ve seen, Vil. You are so kind and determined, and even with the overblot fiasco, you never give up.

Vil: . . .

Yuuna: You are simply the fairest of them all, Vil Schoenheit. I just wish you could see it…

Extra: In Book 6, Vil panicked that Yuuna would leave him because of his older appearance. Which she shakes her head and promises that he wouldn’t be going around any time soon. <3 Until, Book 7 where they have an argument because Yuuna is conflicted between Vil and her home, meanwhile Vil thinks he is an insuficiente reason for her to stay.

3. Favourite classic fanfic you've read for the first time this year

This year I read We Left Footprints When We Passed By by this_time_its_just_me (@in-amor-veritas) for the first time. Utterly devastating and wonderful.

I'm bending this one a little bit, because I have actually started it now! But it was Other people's secrets by @sflow-er. I'd been meaning to get round to it for ages and finally did, I'm a few chapters in and enjoying it so much!

36. your favourite trope

I've previously answered this as Fake Dating, but since I love so many I'm going to add alternate meetings. I love watching them fall in love in any and all universes. I love ones that are similar to canon but a bit different (like We should escape for the night by @piebingo) or ones that are completely different. I love AUs (which surprised me), so anything where they start from a different point it great.

41. how do you choose the fic you read

I have a complete scattergun approach 😅. I mostly go off personal recommendations. Luckily YR Tumblr are very forthcoming with what they're reading at the moment so I use that a lot. Then I'm subscribed to a lot of my favourite authors. I then go through the tags and the summaries. I don't have any triggers that I avoid, but there're some things I choose not to read (or some things that I'm sometimes more in the mood for).

47*. WIP or not WIP

WIP! I never used to, and I'm so glad I decided to give it a try. There's no better feeling than getting an email about a fic you love getting updated 😍 (this doesn't transfer over into my writing, I have to have finished something before I start publishing. I recently went through and deleted an entire character from my WIP and had to go back through the whole thing to remove any reference to her 😅). If I don't have time to start a WIP, I subscribe to it so that I can catch up when I have a chance.
