Being a Fan Artist / Creator is so incredibly frustrating because our muses can disappoint us at any point, whether intentionally or not. And that hurt stings; especially when that muse is someone(s) that brought joy back into our life through creative means (art, writing, whatever it is). I will never put people on pedestals by the way, and I never have. We are all human after all, we are all capable of mistakes, ignorance and harmful behaviours. We are also all capable of learning, educating ourselves to stay informed and to use our voices to amplify others who need it most. It is also 100% OK to hold people accountable and want change! So many people are scared of change but without change, with out challenging these systems it stays the same and we are stuck in a never ending cycle of people thinking that we are just going to throw money at them no matter how shitty they are and that is not right! Seeking change and accountability does not mean you don't care, it's infact the opposite! What shows you don't care is following blindly and throwing money at companies/people who will continue to do harm!

This goes for literally every fandom.
