More details below// Uncensored Image Below!!// MAJOR CHARACTER DEATH!!! In the slowburn I'm writing, Monoma and Shinso live through a long and yearnful friendship. Both convinced the other would deny their feelings to focus on their pro-hero journey. Monoma wants nothing more than for Shinso to take Aizawas places as a night-time/quiet hero, to take care of his parents and Eri. He can't fathom Shinso wanting to be in the light with him, to do pro-hero modeling, interviews or such next to him. He knows Shinso- he knows how he prefers to be in the dark through his work, knows his association with Deku and his parents Pro-Hero history. He values himself and Shinso so so much- he doesn't want to force him into a spot light that he couldn't cope with. Imagine what the press would say? if the silent hero was caught around the loud, arrogant and hated 'Phantom Thief'. It's unfair to tangle Shinso's chaotic life in his status, for the chance that his confession instead causes disrepair in their long friendship. Shinso wants so badly to stand with Monoma, to be in his shadow- watching his six. To stalk alleys with him while looking for those to help or capture- But he's not stupid. Monoma is bright-brighter than the sun, louder than anyones he's met and his energy fills any room he walks into. He couldn't forgive himself if his adoration- if his love for Monoma pressured him to follow Shinso to the shadows, to dim his light. He knows that the dark hero 'mind-jack' is already fighting the press about his villianous quirk and appearance, he almost leans into it- but To push Monoma into that drama? someone whos sobbed into Shinsos arms about his own parents calling him 'evil' for his 'Villainous' quirk? its unfair, a chance that Shinso can't take. He hates seeing Monoma is pain as it is. There is silent acknowledgement of their friendship turning into something more domestic and intimate- drunken kisses, holding hands for comfort, practically living with eachother, calling and texting constantly. But- never as Pros, never as 'The Phantom Thief' and 'Mind-Jack'. The press, the danger and the chaos of their undisclosed relationship couldn't be risked. Risk. Shinso wish he took it- they're both Pros anyway, and Aizawa filled his head with the understanding that being a pro is dangerous- His own missing limbs or senses to prove it- and that he needs to live life smart and proud. But he's a coward at heart, never pushing the limits of their relationship, never trying to learn if these feelings were actually requited or not. It doesn't matter now. A villain who was just lucky enough, hitting the right place, movements too quick and now- nothing. Now he has nothing, no love, no friend, no light.

i like to think that Monoma ends up enlisting the help of Hatsume Mei to construct a uniform somewhere down the line because he needs one capable of accommodating any conceivable type of quirk and she is one of the only people innovative enough to deliver

they are both two different flavors of crazy but they would work So Well together it's actually wild

(the nurses keep telling him to stop because he's supposed to be resting, but feeling the familiar thrum of his friends' powers settles him in a way that nothing else does)

kas~ everyone is bullying monoma today and I think i’m gonna join in, that counts as bullying you, right~?

so about my thigh-headlock post yesterday: sparring with monoma and you get him on the ground, thighs around his head as he gasps out of breath, embarrassment creeping up to him but not because he lost, but because of the current position that’s holding him in place. he can feel not only the heat from his ever-growing red face, but the warmth from the thighs as well. uwahhhhh thigh headlocks are definitely something you two should try more, no? he can’t even get a lighthearted insult out to you anymore, and it looks like you’ve gotten a bratty boy all flustered <3

When you finally pin him to the ground, it takes him a while to realize what's happening. After all, you just knocked the damn wind out of him.

Pretty eyelashes flutter and Monoma's surroundings begin coming back to him. He slowly takes in the way your thighs are encasing his head. The shell they provide around his ears is warm through the breathable material of your training sweats.

Craning his neck proves to be a fruitless endeavor when your thighs only tighten around his head, "You're not getting away from me that easily, Neito." His mouth opens, trying to come up with a witty retort, but instead- nothing.

The look you give him doesn't help. He can already feel his ears burning, hears his heart beating in his ears like a marching band on the day of a parade.

"um.." With a dry throat and sweaty palms Monoma flattens his hands against the gym floor. He's not going to kneed his fingers into the warm skin of your thighs. He's going to stop thinking about how firm your thighs are against the sides of his head.

He thinks about getting lost in your skin forever, pulled into unconsciousness from a lack of air and never resurfacing.

You jostle him from his fantasies. You're laughing at him, at his hooded eyelids, at the loudness of his breathing, at the collective heat from between your legs and his entire face.

"You're so red, Neito. I'll try to be worse at kicking your ass next time, yeah?"

after his brief deep dive into flower language, Monoma secretly assigns a specific flower to each of the important people in his life. he’s thought about giving them bouquets of their assigned flowers for their birthdays, but if they ever looked into what the flowers meant he would simply wither away from mortification.

true to his moniker of Phantom Thief, Monoma has a number of cunning little tricks up his sleeves. he can pick locks (and pockets), and he's nearly perfected his sleight of hand. (funny enough, growing up with cold-to-borderline-intimidating parents just made Monoma sneakier).

any time someone asks Monoma about his favorite quirks to copy, he waxes poetic about how every quirk is wonderful and he could never be forced to choose ("Perish the Thought!")

that said, he secretly does have a couple favorites: Kendo's. Yanagi's. Aizawa's, after the war. sometimes, he enjoys copying a quirk because of the power itself. other times, it's because of how it physically and emotionally feels to copy it.

Monoma has a pretty structured schedule in regards to eating, and he tends to eat a lot more than people expect of him. some quirks take a lot of energy to copy - especially if they involve visible changes to his body or if they themselves require energy input (like Momo's) - so he's learned that it's better to stay on top of that kind of thing.

along a similar vein, Monoma doesn't tend to use any sort of scented cologne or perfume. he's copied a couple of quirks that augment his sense of smell, and being able to sense everyone's cologne/perfume - along with his own - made it feel like he was being physically and psychologically assaulted. 0/10, would not recommend. (Shishida can relate).

Monoma can speak several languages and read a couple more. and yet, when he attempts to build a piece of furniture with instructions In Hand, he still manages to absolutely make a disaster of it. (the one time he tried to construct his own piece of furniture, he ended up having to call Awase in for help. Awase saw what was supposed to be a wooden chair for Monoma's desk and laughed so hard that he nearly passed out.)

I have an idea! I have really bad food issues and a lot of times eating at certain restaurants makes me sick, so there's like a 60% chance I'll be throwing up in a restaurant every time. So how about headcannons or maybe a short drabble for different bnha characters who knew their boyfriend had food issues but didn't realize how bad it was until they went to check on him?

Some of the character I really want are iida, hizashi, Aizawa, Monoma, and Shoji. If you want to add more or don't want to do any of these go ahead and change up the list ^^

if he were to ever take you on a date, he would ask exactly what you would want to eat at a restaurant and research until he finds the perfect one

usually though, he prefers to cook for you

at first, you were a little nervous to tell him about the situation and kind of just avoided eating when he would take you out to somewhere to eat

but being the loving bf he is, he asked exactly what was going on and you were honest, as you could trust him

from then on, he kept record of your favorite foods and made sure that what he was making you was exactly what you enjoyed!

he wants you to stay healthy and happy and will do anything to make that happen <3

he will learn to cook anything for you and even bake if you have a sweet tooth

i feel like he had to cook for himself at a very young age and I see him as a pretty picky eater, so he can definitely help make you something that will help you out

he doesnt often take you out to eat just because that isn't super his jam

he made a love language out of cooking for you and just loves to see the smile on your face after you eat something

he will treat you like the most important thing in his life

so yes

that means with food too

he definitely had to learn how to cook or get some friends to help, but know that he's putting in the effort

he feels like that isn't his best way of showing you his love since he's still trying, but know he will put in the effort!!!!!

teach him if you can because he is willing to learn, even if he is embarrassed that he has to ask for help lol

i feel like this man can cook like no other

so if you tell him what you love, expect it to be there for you as a breakfast in bed, or a surprise lunch <3

he wants to make sure you are well fed especially with your problem and he will do anything to make sure that is done

he will try new things or even ask you to teach him what you like to eat

he just cares about you a lot and knows how important food is, so he will do anything <3
