Sun (Luffy) vs Darkness (Blackbeard) foreshadow?

I think it's safe to say that we expect that at some point there will be a fight between Blackbeard and Luffy, considering that Blackbeard is the reason Ace got captured and died...

It still did not happen, but I'm pretty sure that the battle between them will come soon considering we are in the final arc, maybe it could be that Blackbeard is actually the final enemy? I don't know, but to read that specific line from Blackbeard on chapter 441 while he fights with Ace is very peculiar.. especially the choice to refer to Ace as the sun just because he has fire powers. Knowing Oda and his love for details, in my opinion it was more of a foreshadow for Luffy's real devil fruit power and the fight that will eventually happen between them.

Also we have the same chapter numbers repeating!!! Like 1044 if you read it backwards and you take the 0 or the 1 out, we still have 440/441....

Oda I love your way of foreshadowing and dropping hints here and there, this man is a genius.

Law, initially oblivious to the concealed tattoo adorning your abdomen, had two reasons for his ignorance: it remained hidden beneath your clothing, and as the captain of the Polar Tang, intimate moments were often a rare luxury.

However, on one scorching day, the crew made a decision to take a break on a secluded beach, seeking solace from the heat.

Law, typically drawn to solitude, found a quiet spot away from the group, relishing the peace and quiet.

When you emerged from the Polar Tang, accompanied by Ikkaku, donning a bikini that left little to the imagination, Law casually glanced up, expecting a simple greeting.

What met his eyes, however, was a breathtaking sight that left him momentarily stunned, a shiver racing down his spine.

His gaze locked onto the unmistakable Jolly Roger inked over your womb area, and for a moment, his analytical mind struggled to process the scene.

The whistles and catcalls from Shachi and Penguin only compounded his disorientation, and it nearly cracked his usually stoic demeanor.

Law's initial flustered reaction would gradually give way to a realization that he found the tattoo exceptionally alluring.

In response, he would naturally seek positions during intimate moments where he could admire the tattoo, relishing in the visual of it.

He might even propose an impromptu celebration, whether it's a beachside barbecue or a slew of lively, sand-between-your-toes games.

Throughout the day, Luffy wears a perpetual smile, lavishing his partner with affectionate gestures and showers of praise.

When intimacy beckons, Luffy's fingers instinctively find their way to the tattoo, caressing it with fervor, a testament to his love and pride.

The sun was shinning and the ocean was calm, thats how you started the day, optimist and peacefully... right now, you are running from the marines with a strange boy with a strawhat.

"Ahhhh, this is really fun, you should join my crew."

"What?! How can you be talking about that right now?! And beside i have my own crew."

His gum arm traps you and lifts you two in the air thru the buildings. You took that oportunity to start to shoot some of the marines, not deadly, of course. He got to the top of the bell tower of the village and finally put you down.

"I don't like being carried, less when it's like that."

"What did you mean when you said you had your crew?"

"I am a captain, i am (y/n), i have the same bounty as Boa Hancock, but because i don't look as pretty as her many people doesn't know me."

"You are more pretty than Boa," His face was absolutely clueless and that comment made you blush.

"Th-thanks, you are pretty handsome too,"

"Thanks, but i am not going to forgive you," you didn't understabd what he was talking about, "i wanted you on my crew... But i am a captain too and i know that a bond with your crew is unbreakable."

He sat on the ground making a sad face like a little child who cant have a candy, it's cute. You went to sit next to him.

"Today i thought It would be a normal day, enjoying the new village my ship arrived to, buying new things, eating food... and instead i ended up involved on a fight with the marines thanks to your appetite and your lack of money," he let out a little laugh at your tale of the day, "at least tell me your name."

"Oh, right, i'm Mugiwara Luffy, the next pirate king."

"Ooohhh, you are that Mugiwara, that's awesome, but i must say that i am going to be the pirate queen, maybe we can get to an agreement where we can both be pirate royalty."

It looked like he didn't like that idea but he didn't say anything to complain. Some time later the marines abandoned the search of you two so you decided to go down.

"Well, i think i will go back to my crew, i think they will be searching for me, don't get in trouble without me, i hope we see again," and just like that Mugiwara runned away.

And then you thought, if you already had a chaotic morning then it would be worthy to have an equally chaotic afternoon.

Robbin the bank of the village with your second in command can be considered a risky move but you had all the adrenaline of the previous morning on your body and you needed to rush it out. It was really fun, running around with big bags full of berry and explosions behind. The ship was already visible, you ordered your crew to get going without you, to save time.

You saw a ship with the bow in shape of a lion or a sun, it's just running fast thru that ship and jump to yours, easy. You start to pass at high speed when you saw Mugiwara.

"(y/n)!? what!?" he had a piece of meat on his mouth.

"I was just robbing a bank, sorry to pass thru your ship and couldn't stop to take dinner," you did a goodbye sign and jumped to your ship.

"I thought you agreeded to not get in trouble without me," he shouted.

"I never said that, but maybe the next time, i am more than glad to renegotiate our deal about the pirate title."

"Never! that would only happen if we get married and i am not going to marry someone who doesn't wait for me to do trouble," that comment made you blush, officially he is completely clueless about compliments.

"We will see that Mugiwara, until our next meeting," you tried to sound fierce but the previous remark keeps repeating on your head.

"Count on it!!!!" you two didn't say it but you two hoped that encounter happens sooner that later.

nami would have thought that luffy and usopp were enough to give her a splitting headache. but heavens, there's now two luffy. one was luffy himself and the other was you. nothing could possibly go wrong, right? wrong. she was so dead wrong.

their food stocks were fast to clearead out, the thousand sunny were also louder, and luffy's obvious protectiveness towards you.

both of you were like two peas in a pod, always stuck to each other's hip.

during morning, both you and luffy would wake up with a loud cries due to your growling stomachs. during the afternoon, you and luffy would take a nap somewhere on the ship, his arms tangled all over you. during the evening, the two of you would run around the ship, your loud laughters ringing throughout the ship.

it wasn't like nami hated you. not at all. it was the opposite. she adore you. you completed luffy for some weird reason. even though both of you are so so stupid and doesn't even realize that you love each other more than friends.

so when the crew members find luffy leaving kisses on your face while you laugh, they weren't surprised. sanji also weren't surprised when one night, he saw you and luffy kissed for the first time (even though his heart aches and wished that it was him that you were kissing instead).

they knew of how you and luffy were friends since childhood. and that was why they weren't surprised how the two of you are so clueless to your feelings. because you two have been together since kids after all. no one would notice a change. especially if it was luffy and you. you guys share one brain cell after all.

and when you and luffy said that those intimate interactions are those of a friend, they weren't surprised. but as long as you two are happy, who are they to have a say in it?
