Alright. I want you all made perfectly aware that I have completely cut support for Wilbur soot and any associated projects. I find his "apology" to be disingenuous and trashy damage control, and it undermines whatever desire he has to improve, however genuine that is.
I 100% support Shelby and any victim of such disgusting behaviour, i commend them for their courage, and I wish them nothing but prosperity, support, and happiness. I will always value their peace over whatever art he made. I'll find other fucking art.

i'm not tired, i'm exhausted
#my head is full of sooo many thoughts and i'm feeling way too many emotions right now#i struggled with my thesis today again after a few months break#yesterday a guy i'm kind of getting to know asked me a question that hit home when we were talking about the effects of past events#“'last time when cuddling and i gave you a kiss you tensed up completely for a sec. was that you being shy or being uncomfortable. '#i didn't even realise it and now i'm feeling extremely anxious about my subconscious acting out when i am in fact feeling comfortable#background: he knows my history of unpleasant events concerning intimacy/sex and he's very mindful about it yet challenges me in a good way#but now i am a mixture of extreme exhaustion experiencing high levels of fondness and yet feeling extremely agitated#and having constant minor flashbacks and i really don't know what to do or how to merely exist in this moment now#not going to bother anyone with this and my thoughts as they are having a good time and that also goes for the pretty nice guy i mentioned#so i'm on my own in my own company#maybe some music crying and ice cream straight from the tub would help haha#thank you for taking your time to read this mess love you and have a nice morning day or night#literally no one cares emma

#loooong day but#was a nice night#checking off one traumatic event at a time and we’re still at the top of the list#life’s been crazy lately and not in a cute or sexy way but#we keep trekking#there’s always little moments#was nice spending time with my niece#even if earlier on we all had some hard and awkward moments got through it together#got some long talks in the horrific traffic too#and walking around Cambridge during sunset is always a good vibe#especially when it makes you physically glowy#it came through for us specifically#some random niceness from a stranger too while outside alone was sweet#also the restaurant next to vg was blasting chappell roan when we came outside like#and it’s beautiful out today gonna go enjoy it#🖤

#pondering#I can’t believe it’s been a year since I gave up on my last crush#it seems like so long ago I feel like I’ve lived eight lifetimes since then#but it also feels like just yesterday#and yet I feel so…. distant from him#I mean I also never see him anymore#the only reason I did then is because I’d seek him out#and even then….#idk what I’m trying to say#just that things change#and myself of two years ago would be amazed#that I’m able to have a normal life and think about him minimally and painlessly#because two years ago I was in the DUMPS#I went through this intense phase where I just felt like I *had* to be with him and got to the point where I’d just cry out of fear that#that I’d die before I got a chance to make him fall in love with me#it was so bad I was so paranoid and lovesick and and and.. ough#I still remember that night so well#it was also a Wednesday like today and it had been an awful day and I had a headache#and I just thought. I can’t take this anymore. where are we even going. he’s never going to notice me never#i GIVE UP#it was mostly an impulse but looking back I’m so glad I followed that particular impulse#it’s like when Edmund walked out of Mary’s house not because he was super resolved but more on an impulse of the moment#just felt like the thing to do. and I may have regretted it once or twice afterwards but in the end it absolutely WAS the right call#and a couple months later YOU-KNOW-WHO showed up#absolutely insane events happening to me last year.#but now I feel like the girl from that one video#“girl who is going to be okay” djdjdhdh#but really! #songbird posts from the 11pm part of the day when she really ought to be asleep#babes i looked fear in the face and SMILED#granted i was so agitated beforehand that i rage cleaned for a while#but it came to the moment and i nodded politely and did a quick checkup with myself#and was like. ok cool! wow nice im not falling apart. i am holding steady#so today was a win! one gold star for songbird#slings and arrows of outrageous fortune in year 21#in other words. applied my makeup for an event well for once.#finished schoolwork on time. ate three meals. remembered to do the laundry.#all wins. but this one was particularly huge because i was like well i DUNNO if i can be the bigger person#first because im small in stature hurhurhur#second and more seriously because i still hold a lot of Anger and Resentment that im trying to deal with#i guess with betrayed trust it takes time. HOWEVER today was a win because i was able to handle things with some grace#and some level of class. for someone as easily overwhelmed and overstimulated and also highly marianneish#when it comes to emotions today really WAS progress for songbird

Casting Jimmy Stewart in Vertigo might actually be one of the best casting decisions ever
#he's the nice guy!! his persona is the everyman he is NEVER the bad guy#so that's what you expect from vertigo#except there's all these little moments where his obsessive and possessive nature comes through but you ignore that#until the second act where you're like OH SHIT. but the thing is#it wasn't the events of the story that made him like that he was always like that#but he got worse at hiding it#vertigo is about the destructive powers of male obsession#it deconstructs the 'nice guy' trope better in like. 1958 than in most movies today#he uses sex as a way to feel powerful (just look at hitchcock's commentary on the scene d'amour!!!)#he wants to 'save' madeleine without acknowledging HER feelings or HER thoughts about any of this#and he refuses to let go of madeleine even when it would be better for everyone. and it has terrible consequences#AND IT WAS 1958.#go watch this movie. blease#old hollywood
