EXACTLY. things all kick off with Areli not being able to manage her feelings and then it’s TOO LATE she’s already far enough down the road (for now).

I think?? maybe the Cats in context of the au were a Powered Mercenary group and maybe Grey was part of it for a teeny bit with younger Amelia (mostly for the money) and then when they started getting darker he dipped and encouraged Nys to do the same with Areli but Nys was like ‘nah i can get it straightened out.’ flash forward 5-10 years and Nysrugh’s dead, the cats have gone full Villain Team and Areli is ready to go full villain in pursuit of them.

Then there’s her hurting Amelia even if she regrets it and Grey going after her relentlessly, conflict with Dietch, ARELI KIDNAPPING maeve and that’s also the final straw because they all like her, VAUGN AND ARELI being rivals which makes AMELIA mad because stop !! trying!! to hurt!! him!! he’s better now!!

honestly, if you wanted to start playing now might be the best time. they've implemented a new ranking system that ranks based on hours played, so you'd be playing with people that are fairly new to i think?

his core trait is mercy. his best trait is that he can empathize with anybody. his worst trait is that he tends to be a bit Too Trusting. he believes the best in everybody, or at least he wants to believe the best in everybody. he doesn’t think that anybody anywhere is born inherently evil, and as such he believes that everybody no matter how terrible, has the potential for good.

that last part has been tested Significantly ever since he’s started travelling the world at large, but on the whole he’s clung to the belief that anyone can turn over a new leaf if their remorse is genuine and the desire to change is strong

NOW WHEN APPLIED PRACTICALLY THOUGH……… there are some situations where mercy isn’t an option…….. and that’s when he uhhh gets Angry. people who commit acts of cruelty/crime/etc. and have absolutely zero guilt over their actions INFURIATE him. sarenrae is the goddess of healing light but she is also the goddess of FIRE and boy does he take the other half of sarenrae’s teachings to HEART
