Liz: No, I know it.
Liz is well aware she's an attractive woman and lbr she doesn't always have to rely on her Allure ability to get people to do what she wants them to do. Although she doesn't go as far as Reed by dating them and dumping them when they're no longer useful, and tbh Liz was a bit surprised and disappointed that particular rumor about Reed was true. Poor Ian, he honestly doesn't deserve Reed being a jerk to him for being in love with Liz. Especially since on his route, Reed is a huge hypocrite for also being secretly in love with her for nearly a decade. Granted, Liz doesn't have romantic feelings for Ian. She does trust him and consider him a friend, so once their lives aren't in immediate danger, she's going to make Reed apologize to Ian by taking full advantage of her girlfriend privileges.

John D. Rockerduck and Jeeves (Lusky) with Rockerduck's family plus Donald and Scrooge - Duckverse - Gift for my friends
Once again I wish you a belated Valentine's Day, and on this occasion I drew a drawing of one of my beloved fictional couples from Donald Duck comics. It is about the love relationship between Rockerduck and Jeeves (Lusky) and that they are gay but the best partners in which they help each other. John Davison Rockerduck is the third richest duck in Duckburg and one of Scrooge's biggest rivals, but who knows how to use modern technology and spend money on everything just to beat Scrooge in the competition, and if he doesn't win, he eats his hat. He is often assisted by his butler, secretary and partner Jeeves (Lusky) and Rockerduck depends on him. Something similar to Albert Quackmore and Duckworth for Scrooge. Nevertheless, as a loyalist, he does not betray his boss and participates in the "crime" together. He often appears in Italian comics, but sometimes appears in other European comics as well. However, the two of them, even though they are not a couple in the comics, there are still many indications that they are in a romantic relationship and thanks to the fans of these characters, here I am to do my drawing related to the two of them.
Apart from them, there are Rockerduck's nephews, Ricky Rockerduck (who is Donald's age and likes to hang out with Donald, and is also clumsy), Simeon Rockerduck (Rockerduck's special nephew, similar to Donald's nephews) and Arsène, George and Patrick Rockerduck ( Rockerduck's nephews who are a pure copy of Donald's nephews, appeared a couple of times in Italian comics) who support their uncle Rockerduck, and there are also Donald Duck (who hangs out with Ricky) and Scrooge McDuck, Rockerduck's rival and best frenemy. I used mostly redraws from Topolino scenes and other European comics and combined some of my own in my own way (especially in the case of Rockerduck's nephews).
I hope you like this drawing and this Rockerduck/Jeeves pairing. And this is a gift for my friends, who told me that Rockerduck and Jeeves are great characters, especially for @salemaru (which was her birthday recently so this is also a birthday present), @rednevalbones and @bitterlynsposts. And thanks a lot for pointing me to these comics as well as new inspirations and this is my gift to you.

I've just finished watching the Netflix adaptation of "All Quiet on the Western Front" and I have some thoughts. The first one being - I haven't seen such marvelous screen adaptation in a while, despite the changes introduced to the plot. So if you're any interested in what I have to say, let me elaborate.
I'm a big fan of anti-war literature, though "fan" might be a bit of a strange way of phrasing it. But I've read enough of the "genre classics" to have some general knowledge of how those stories are usually developed (might be just me being Easter European. Specifically Polish. We know something about wars.) And AQotWF is one of my favourites, alongside "Catch 22" and "King Rat." Throughout the whole movie I was in awe of how well it translates the atmosphere of the book. How well it establishes the characters, especially Kat (I'll talk about the characters later.) You immediately submerge into their world, you feel for them and you're anxious whenever they go into battle. My big problem with modern movies is how they just don't let you connect with the characters by rushing the plot. Here it's not a thing. AQotWF says exactly what it wants and how it wants.
The visuals are spectacular. I took some screenshots I'm planning on redrawing due to how beautifully filmed this movie is. And, finally, it's not too dark!! You can see what's happening even in scenes located in bunkers or taking place at night! I freaking missed that so much. The same goes for sound - you understand what the characters say (my knowledge of German is VERY limited, still I often didn't need the subtitles because the dialogues were recorded clearly.) The lighting does miracles, it perfectly supports the mood. The usage of colour is great. I'm a big fan of close-up shots (details can add so much) and I love how this movie delivers the best of it, with focusing on the faces and especially eyes.
The music deserves its own paragraph. Scarce, used only when needed, but what an effect it gives... Again, one of the best soundtracks I've heard in a while. There wasn't a single scene where I thought to myself "can y'all cut the damn music", which happens to me more often than I wish it did. Especially the main theme uses a lot of sounds that remind of metal, of shots and explosions, perfectly matching what you see. And the music in the very last scene is just beautiful and gentle. I heard something similar in my head while finishing the book. Peace and relief.
Costumes? So damn good. Finally a movie where the costumes are well-made, with precision and care. Another reason why it's so easy to immediately get into the presented world - you just believe it's real due to what you see. Hairstyles, clothes, make-up. Everything is very realistic.
The same goes for the special effects, both in terms of explosions/shots and the corpses. The scene with tanks and flamethrowers was a shocking experience even to me, someone used to war movies, due to how real it seemed. The tanks emerge from the mist like animals, some kind of monsters. Mind you, WW1 was the first time tanks were used and they weren't as common as in WW2. The absolute hysteria of the soldiers is so real because they indeed had no idea what to do while facing a tank. The sets are very detailed, the bleak views of the battlefield and faded, winter forests are again a visual masterpiece.
Now the changes. To me the most questionable change done was Kat's death. I prefer the book version - it was more moving. On the other hand, the nonsense of his death in the movie creates his own quality. He survived a war waged by adult men just to be killed by a boy over a few eggs. Eggs that for both sides might mean either survival or death of starvation. It wasn't the stupid generals, bullets and tanks that were his end - the poor farmer boy who knew his family will starve was. Still, I'd prefer to see the book version of events. While reading I was touched by Paul's desperation and dedication to saving his friend, and by Kat who wasn't able to tell Paul that he's been hit in the head, meaning that the wound was fatal. Paul's endeavour in carrying Kat across the battlefield, at some point already a dead body, was a great summary of how during war your effort might mean nothing just because you happen to be unlucky. If it was about skill, Kat would survive. From all of them, Kat should. But he was unlucky that one damn time. When the war was basically over, he lost his own.
Another difference was the fate of Tjaden. In the book, it was Kemmerich who was shot in the leg and died because of an amputation. Here, we have Tjaden who got shot, though he doesn't let the wound kill him - he commits suicide using a fork. A pretty brutal scene I was kind of expecting at the very secnd I saw the way he looked at the fork in his hand. Interesting take on human desperation - he didn't want to live as a disabled person as it would make it impossible for him to work as a policeman (his biggest dream.) This change is quite alright with me. I know it was probably done to not introduce more characters (Kemmerich), though I'd like to see the motive of the boots being taken by Müller and then given to Paul when Müller died as well. The conflict between not wanting your friend to die and such a down-to-earth matter like wanting better boots, in the end turning out to be meaningless, is an important thing to include. Still, the change wasn't that significant and it certainly wasn't a negative one.
And then Paul's death. I really appreciate the fact that the main character of the story dies because that was the only way for his story to end. And he dies at the very end of the war, as if because he had nothing else to do. He wasn't able to return to his old life. There was nothing left of it - at that point his mother was probably already dead due to her illness and he couldn't just go back to his town and live like nothing happened. Especially surrounded by people like his father, who didn't understand the changes done to him by the war. Paul's friends were dead. He'd be able to live with that, even though there was no one left of his class. Who would he study with? But Kat was gone too and that was too much. Paul gladly accepts his death because he's died already a long time ago, during the first time on battlefield. What was left after that was a moving body that didn't have much in common with the joyful student who'd once inhabited it.
The gesture of climbing up the stairs of the bunker, into the light of the day, is a beautiful visual metaphor. We walks around the trenches and in the background we see soldiers of both sides just sitting or gathering their dead. A second ago they were killing each other. But now it's 11 o'clock. Now it's peace. And the young boy, so similar to Paul from the beginning of the movie, takes his scarf, a scarf that has once belonged to someone else, someone who had died way earlier and who was known by Paul, not by the boy. The object is carried on even though the memory died. One of my favourite things added to the movie.
To sum things up - spectacular movie. Very worth watching, even if you're not into this genre. And if you haven't read the book, do yourself a favour and read it. It's not very long and I believe it's one of the stories you just should know.

you are right it's been so long, but because i'm actively working on púlsar i don't talk much about UP even tho i do draw them
okay so, for lyric im sharing his literal origin story, as well as some facts about the man and some drawings i like of him.
first some facts:

his flower is lycoris radiata (got it from this video, minute 3:35)
origin story:
so i had been toying with the concept of a character named lyric which lived through multiple déjà vus. and he died too. one day (on a plane to ireland with school) i drew this guy:

KARMA
i find it hard to say things about karma because with his pov we learn most of the relevant stuff. so you are getting fun facts and a sad fact
first the fun:
in the modern aus he's legally blind. round golden rimmed glasses.
his plushy (you'll meet him in today's chapter i believe) is called jhai
his name comes from me hearing someone call their dog karma and going "oh that can be a name cool im using it" (the other dog was called kraken)
he's the character that has gone through the most extreme character design change of the bunch (mainly because everyone else didn't exist). but he was more of a black sheep of the family cool dude that could use guns (yes there were guns in púlsar early stages idk either). his hair was also auburn. and then idk what happened but i changed it to the mess he's now. very glad i did i love him
and now the sad. check tags for tw because oof:

so, my man is very depressed. his mom's death hit him hard and it was all in general a terrible time for him (also it was around his bday. this was totally unintentional i swear)
on the early days and in spite of the promise he made, he climbed onto his windowsill and thought about jumping. everything was just too much. fortunately, someone knocked on his door and scared him, he slipped backwards and fell to the floor. he hasn't told this to anyone and doesn't intend to, but even if that's two months before púlsar, that's basically the mental state he starts with
and stealing your phrase, spoiler for flavor: he doesn't end púlsar much better
SHER
i can't tell you much. but what i CAN do is show you some baby sher and karma being cute together so you are extra sad about today's púlsar chapter:

also as a fun(?) fact, he was very close to his uncle (his mother's younger brother). he was a big support for him when he moved to the palace away from his mom, and acted as a shield (or as much as he could) between him and his father. the uncle's name is Ádil.
he was married to Orga (one of the members of the council, arranged marriage), and died shortly after karma moved to the palace (sher was around 16 by then, and for reference, he's 23 now). sher suspects that his uncle's death wasn't fully natural, but he still has to be nice to orga because she's powerful.
ádil was one of the few people in the council that openly opposed the shahin. go figures i wonder what happened there.
IRA
so i already answered an ask for her here, basically a love letter to her character i love her so much.

GARAVAN GARVAN
you did in fact not write that properly, but that's actually great because it gives a segue into a fun fact about him!
i affectionately call him gman and mostly all my notes refer to him as that. also, once my phone autocorrected his name to garbanzo (chick pea). bean (a nickname for a character from púlsar gen 2) calls him that (ira did totally not correct her when she started doing it because she thought it was 1. funny and 2. that it would annoy garvan). also! karma sometimes calls him G
as a not so fun fact: he often needs to be the balancing component in the friend group, being silly and making jokes. he doesn't look like it, but he's very caring and does worry a lot about karma (not that karma notices lol).
his mom died in childbirth so it was emhi's mom that took care of him (until she too died shortly after). we don't talk about their father.
he was close with sher when they were younger (sher used to beat him at sparring), bonding over being clear aldamu and what it meant for them (sher taught him things about khithi culture that his mom taught him).
(i have so Many Thought about emhi garvan and sher as young teens in the palace, you have no idea, there's some clues sprinkled around púlsar about it but that's all you are officially getting)

When I was in grade 5, my family had a redrawing of the heart saying scene from the Papyrus of Ani hanging on a wall above a closet, and I had a book that showed you some (some, not all) of the hieroglyphs and their transliteration meanings. So I spent like, days and days climbing up to the top of that closet with a bunch of sheets of paper so I could transliterate it and read what it meant.
This process was complicated by the fact that I did not know all the hieroglyphs so there were a lot of signs I couldn’t identify and just decided were other signs that my book did have, but it was also complicated by the fact that for some reason 5th grade me thought that the language the Ancient Egyptians spoke was modern Arabic.
One time when I was in grade 4, and I read this Ancient Egyptian fairy tale where this girl loses a hair ornament in the Nile during a party or something, so a magician parts the river so he can find it for her. And I remember that at the time 4th grade me was just absolutely mystified by this, because it was really similar to the Red Sea being parted in Exodus, and wondering why these two cultures that were *so different* would have such similar stories. Because I guess that despite having spent like a month staring at this one map in my copy of the Bible that showed like the top half of Egypt along with Israel and Palestine, 4th grade me had not processed that Egypt and Israel are like. Right next to each other.

my @mcytblraufest gift for @whoretimeswithscar! an over the garden wall au with mcyt characters! if youre unfamiliar, over the garden wall is a cartoon starring two brothers, wirt and greg, who find themselves lost in a place called the unknown and try to find their way around home, meeting many people including someone called the woodsman and a talking bluebird named beatrice.
starring: wilbur as wirt, the older brother; tommy as greg, the younger brother; grian as beatrice, the bluebird but as a parrot, + other cast and stuff under the cut! cause i made a BUNCH for this apparently.
charlie slimecicle as jason funderberker the frog! he's basically the brothers' pet frog, and he gets a musical number in one of the episodes!

okay really going into spoiler territory here for the characters:
wilbur and tommy are wearing lmanburg/or just revolution uniforms in general as halloween costumes! wilburs are too short on him, and tommys are too big. tommys wearing red rainboots cause he doesnt have fancy ones like wilbur already had.
charlies just a slimy frog with glasses. no one knows how they stay there, there's no tape or anything. also he has. teeth. no reason at all tbh, and he also doesnt speak yet like in canon aside from the musical numbers.
grian as beatrice! i mean, he does seem like the type to get his family cursed because of shenanigans.
joe hills as quincy endicott and zombie cleo as margueritte grey! i really like this idea hehe. the premise of endicotts episode is that hes an eccentric lonely rich guy with a huuuge mansion who thinks is haunted, or that he might just really be going mad. turns out that his mansion was just so huge that he didnt realize that it was two mansions joined together, and that the resident of the other mansion, margueritte grey, was the ghost he thought he was seeing, and also thought he was a ghost. so like shenanigans with joe and cleo lmao.
stress as auntie whispers and gem as lorna! lorna is a young sick girl who lives with auntie whispers, but turns out her sickness was an evil spirit possessing here and forcing her to devour people, she didnt know tho i think and thought auntie was evil and forcing her to do chores. auntie whispers was like a really creepy evil looking old woman but turns out she was nice, just evil and creepy looking.
bad as the woodsman and skeppy as the woodsmans daughter! and dream as the beast. the beast was this.. idk he was the beast. an evil spirit taking children lost in the woods? the woodsmans daughter had gotten lost in the woods and the beast told the woodsman that the lantern contained his daughters soul, and he had to keep it lit of else his daughter was dead forever by chopping edelwood trees and turning them to oil as fuel. and then turns out the beast was just tricking him
also! the unknown is like, im pretty sure is supposed to be the afterlife? or like limbo, or as u had mentioned in your request notes, dantes inferno! when you mentioned dantes inferno, and limbo, and cool imagery, otgw was the first thing that came to my mind! i had just watched this one video essay about otgw being a modern retelling of dantes inferno before i recieved your request lol. cause wirt and greg were supposed to be drowning while they were in the unknown i think.
also!! for the first drawing, the scene is like, not rly anything specific for the show, i just thought it looked cool. and i somehow had the idea to. make it a painting. again. against all previous experiences of paintings being absolute slogs to finish. they almost always just reach the point of i dont even want to look at this anymore its good enough, but im really love how this one came out!
i had a few other au ideas i was thinking of before i did this one, i didnt manage to do them mostly bc it was always like. wayyy out of my artistic skills and also i didnt know how to make them make sense or execute them well enough.
previous ideas included: some sort of adventure story/comic/chose your own adventure/small rpg/point and click adventure/idk of limbo and exploring people's limbo, such as wilbur in the train station, schlatt in the gym, tommy in a void, grian in the middle of 3rd life and last life, etc. and the vibes i was looking for like victorian impossible mansion with shifting rooms or smth and also these kinds of stuff like a small pixel art point and click exploring of limbos
and also an ibong adarna au (????) its a filipino story of a prince journeying to capture the legendary bird, ibong adarna, to cure his sick father, and he had two older brothers who also failed bc they werent kind to a beggar in the street who turned out to be a sorcerer(?). basically, wilbur, techno, and tommy as the princes, with tommy as the youngest who succeeded bc he was kind, charlie as the ermitanyo/beggar?? and grian as the bird?

Shingeki no Kyojin's Ending Interview (May 2021)

Question: Congratulations on completing Shingeki no Kyojin’s serialization! How do you feel now that you have finished writing the final chapter?
Isayama: There’s still some work left to do when it comes to putting together the final manga volume*, so I don’t actually know how a “life without deadlines" feels like yet (laughs), but by publishing the final chapter, I feel like I can finally breathe again. However, there are still several things that need to be done.
(*Translator’s note: usually, putting together a volume includes: fixing drawing mistakes, sometimes even redrawing certain scenes if the author wasn’t satisfied with how they looked/their composition, fixing text (both wording or simply changing the Japanese characters used), drawing omake/extra pages, like the High School Caste fake previews, which usually take up 2 pages, and so on. So, of the 8 extra pages he mentions below, probably only 6 at max will be used to add new original story content.)
Q: What?! What else is there to be done?
Isayama: At first, the draft for the last page of the chapter was neatly divided into 5 panels, but I was feeling quite indecisive about it. At the time, that last page was a scene of 3 people running towards a tree on a hill. After having a meeting about that with Bakku-san and my other editors, I decided on a last-minute change, and I turned it into the one that is now published in Bessatsu Shonen Magazine. The limit for each printed chapter in Bessatsu Magazine was 51 pages, but since up to 8 extra pages can be added in manga volumes, I want to finish up everything that I couldn’t draw in the printed magazine and add it in the final manga volume.
Q: As for the serialization, which spanned 11 years and a half, have there been any changes about the way you think about mangas?
Isayama: Up until recently, I had drawn as if sexism wasn’t a thing, but when drawing the Marleyan military, which was comparatively more modern, if I had added, with no explanation whatsoever, female soldiers like I did for Paradis Island, it could’ve given the impression that Marley was quite a developed nation. It would’ve felt out of place. That’s why, as long as I was drawing a story set in an era of the past, I couldn’t draw female characters as part of the top brass of the military, because it would’ve meant acting as if there was no actual history of gender discrimination at the time.
It might be a story set in a fictitious world, but if you don’t connect it in some ways to the real world, it could end up becoming a story people cannot relate to.
Q: The unraveling of events that led to the final chapter has been quite shocking. Especially when it comes to Eren…
Isayama: I have been frenetically checking any and all reactions to that. There are as many honest opinions as there are people, and they’re all correct. With how I portrayed that part, it’s not so strange that it was interpreted as if Armin accepted the massacre. My portrayal was lacking. Armin didn’t approve of the despicable measures taken by Eren, but he ended up benefiting from the mass slaughter, regardless of his intentions. Armin, who couldn’t possibly understand Eren, faced their last farewell with a firm “Thank you for becoming a mass murderer for us”, essentially conveying how he himself was also an accomplice. He wanted to feel closer to Eren, even if just a little. I realized the final stage in particular had too difficult themes, and my portrayal was inadequate. I deeply regret that I wasn’t able to fully express them in the manga proper.
I’ve been drawing this manga for 11 years and a half, and when I completed the manuscript I truly believed that “everyone will be happy with this”. I was conceited. I apologize to those who have supported me until the end but have felt let down by the ending.

Q: During these 11 years and a half of serialization, have there been any memorable events?
Isayama: I’m happy that I could deepen the relationship with my assistants, as “manga friends”. When the serialization started, everyone was in their twenties, but now some of them are married and have even become parents, and we have become close family friends.
Q: Was the manga becoming an anime a memorable moment, too?
Isayama: The anime adaptation can certainly be considered another part of Shingeki no Kyojin. Lots of people got to know this story through watching the anime. Personally, it was refreshing for me too, as I could experience the story anew. In addition to that, the characters were taken out of my hands - in a good way - by the directors and voice actors, they began moving as independent “existences”. It was a first and interesting experience.
Q: Do you have a favorite scene?
Isayama: As far as drawings go, the scene I like the most is the one in chapter 104, “Victors”, when the Jaw Titan claws at the Attack Titan. Besides the fact that I feel like I can’t draw anything better than that, there also haven’t been that many action scenes with titans after chapter 104.
Q: Well then, what about your best chapter?
Isayama: One of them is chapter 71, “Bystander”. I feel like that chapter exceeded my abilities at the time. I like the way it doesn’t feel like “Shingeki no Kyojin”, as the spotlight was on the life of a single character who isn’t involved with the original story.
Q: Chapter 69, “Friends”, also depicts some characters’ personal life.
Isayama: I like that chapter, too! At the time of drawing its draft, I flattered myself with words such as “Uh? Aren’t I so mature?!”. Normally, I would draw the main story’s continuation, but in chapters 69 and 71’s case, it felt like I was drawing stories that were complete on their own.
Q: With the start of the Marley arc in chapter 91, “The other side of the ocean”, both titans and modern times’ weapons made an appearance in battle.
Isayama: That battle scene was the time I had the most fun while drawing mangas, I was in a state of total concentration and full energy.
Q: How has Shingeki no Kyojin been for you?
Isayama: It’s as if youth has come a bit late, a third of my life has been packed into this work. …Of course, there have been hard times, too, but it’s been a chapter of my life that normally you wouldn’t be able to experience and even now I struggle to think it was real. Although I’ve been spoiled by my readers, I had planned to draw all the while accepting even harsh opinions.
Q: Finally, a message to the readers, please!
Isayama: Through Shingeki no Kyojin, I could connect with an unfathomable number of people. I’ve been happy to share this time of my life with my readers, which is something that, if I had had a normal life, I would have never experienced.
Also, now that the serialization is over, I have been freed, so I want to stroll around a small city with a can of One Cup sake in one hand. That’s what I would call freedom.

So, time to copy paste my tweets from there to here. 
1.  I hope peeps arent bored of me draw MMZ characters into several movies/shows I watch. This is one of things if I feel artblock/mood. Also Dickinson is//chef kisses but in this case it’s not about Phantom & poem thingy, or you can imagine that too if want.
2. Continuation of Phantom mysteriously becomes invisible with changes from original episode, but quickly draw this; my free trial AppleTV expires tomorrow so gotta rewatch the episode ASAP. Hope tonight have time to do more continuation & some redraw favourite scenes in this episode!

If any curious what is Dickinson series, it’s a lesbian historical comedy drama series loosely based on real life poet Emily Dickinson, which it also touches the constraints of society, gender, & family in 19th century throughout her life... witha modern twist!! 
In MMZ au ofc change a bit. But seriously. That series is 10/10. I rarely gave full marks on media I consumed btw. Q_Q (probably because Dickinson saved and accompanied me when I was positive covid.) I laughed, I cry, I learnt a lot, especially it change my views on life and death and stuff. ANd also, they debunk the myths about Emily Dickinson!!! Go try watch it if you feel want to!

tagged by @meikuree, thanks for having me in mind! It’s been a while since I did one of these. 
name: NoxCounterspell
fandoms: Currently writing for Kakegurui and Shingeki no Kyojin.
two-shot: The Beginning and the End (or Knocking on Heaven's door), a Kirasaya (KKG) Fic. This was intended to be a one-shot, however ended up being posted in two chapters because it was too long (insert here cynical laughter when I'm currently posting 14k chapters). The project was conceived by a very creative mind and acquaintance that came to me with a very fucking good outline. Together, we managed to create a very immersing post-canon AU, even if I say so myself. This touched a lot of different subjects, everything revolving around the concepts of family and freedom, right versus wrong, the lack of understanding, psychological projection. One of my favorite parts is the tag Meeting the Parents, and how that can play in how the story is perceived.
most popular multi-chapter: To you, the girls lost in Hell (SnK, Mikannie). An absolute whim of mine, taking Yams story and twisting it and shaping it into a narrative that fits snippets of my own imagination, regarding Annie and Mikasa's relationship (this is basically going to be an enemies, to lovers, to enemies, to friends, to lovers). Really, this is a fic entirely about them, for them and how their basic symbiotic relationship: clashing and attraction impacted everything happening on SnK. This is an excuse to study two characters in canon-verse, getting and providing a humble glimpse of how these characters, in the context they are being written, work. Vomiting a heck ton of my own headcanons, I'm trying to add angst, action, psychology and others to the table, following the overall outline Yams created, but redrawing the entire canvas. Honestly, I'm deeply surprised by how well received the story has been. This will try to keep up the intensity, overall, the outline is designed to play with emotions for the whole ride: we know where we begin and where we are going, but the how it's the sting.
actual worst part of writing: Writer's block. Obsessively researching something to realize it just won't fit the story. Self-doubt. Isolating oneself while writing non-stop. The built-in expectations one may have about their writing that might not be met by the end result.
how you choose your titles: One of my favorite parts of writing it's designing titles. Most of them respond to the question of what does the fic need, how can I guide the reader as to why this has been written? So say, To you, the girls lost in Hell is a direct nod to SnK's first manga chapter and the Light Novel: Lost Girls. This story is for Annie and Mikasa, two girls/women left to their own devices, surviving, searching, trying. A message I hope gets delivered. The Time series (Kirasaya, Meariri, Kakegurui) needs definition. Words are concepts we never really stop to decipher, as much as we ignore human behavior. Defining an entire character study by just one word, the context is easily guided: perhaps Fall is the clearest one, how can a character fall and break without them meaning to? I can rant for days as to what's the process I prefer for title creation, but I can summarize in: how can a whole story be told from the very beginning?
do you outline: Yes. My outlines give me an overall idea of how to get from A to Z, without closing the doors to letters from other alphabets. Pretty much every story I start comes from a dialog that won't leave my mind or a very vivid scene I pictured. Building around it - how the narrative goes and comes, rises and falls - is what outlining comes to do in my case. I outline in two stages: overall skeleton (indents, phrases), then, general paragraphs describing each scene. To this, add specific dialogs and phrases that are non negotiable. If I can’t fit them in, then the scene is not working. I like highlighting bits and pieces of the prose. Phrases that will get stuck with the reader and myself. 
ideas I probably won’t get around to but wouldn’t it be nice: PACIFIC RIM MIKANNIE. There, I said it. This has been running around my mind for a while but I think it's mostly for the lols and for how much of a nerd I am. I don't think I would write it but there are snippets in my head of what that might look like. There is also an ExMilitary!Annie and Cop!Mikasa Modern AU running around in my head, with them getting into a relationship with twists and turns to pertain to what they've lived, boundaries, psychological walls, PTSD... etc.  For Kakegurui: BLADE RUNNER + ALTERED CARBON AU.  Yes, I like SciFi. I have a heck ton of wips, some might see the light, some might not. We'll see.
callouts @ me: I don’t know what a omniscient, general narrator is. For the love of Dio I can’t wrap myself around how to narrate something without siding with a character. I’ve read examples, designed scenes... and still there is always one character I get introspective with or predominates in the scene and everything, then, sides with them. So I’m faulty of jumping from POV to POV by scenes. Or I write an entire fic based in once character’s perspective. In both instances, I always hope it’s not confusing.  Long sentences without breaks or very stuffy wording is another fault of mine. Probably from the fact that I like to write from thoughts and actions in depth than leaving things to the reader’s imagination. I want readers to see what I see, to feel what I feel. I try to write from a place of empathy, channeling the character and their psyche, and the impact that creates is what I want to reflect. So overdetailing is a dear friend of mine. A very talented fellow fic writer told me that I build until people can’t escape what I wrote. I think that’s both good and bad, as I’m taking the freedom people get when picturing their own version.
best writing traits: Based on comments, narrative and characterization. Again, I try to write from a place of empathy, and I undust my psychology classes each time I’m trying to write a character. I like character studies, dissecting something until it’s raw, how can I make or break a persona that’s already been written, that already has a defined mind/soul. That’s why I love angst and currently, thriller/horror.  I’m, also, obsessive with details. Everything has to be accurate and clock work. Does anyone care if the bus I’m describing actually exists? Not really, but I need to have a model in mind. Is it really necessary to open google maps and calculate how long it would take X character to walk from Tokyo’s University to a fictional apartment building? Certainly not. However I need to know in order to sell it. If it makes sense to me, then I’m comfortable enough to write it. It’s not practical, but allows to create tangible actions/places.
spicy tangential opinion: Very snob of me... but mind your text’s visual presentation. If the text is unappealing to the eye, it can be uncomfortable to read. I like fics (and books as well) that are mindful of the aesthetic in lines of words. Having adequate spacing in between paragraphs, balancing length of sentences, using defined styles for dialogs... Gives a very professional feel to it. I’m all for AUs and canon divergence, but fanfiction has a very fragile requirement that is to respect the character. Do with them whatever you like, have them tap dance or bungee jump, alter their canon-verse or send them to Hogwarts, but keep the essence. How and why is a character acting the way they do is key while writing fanfiction. I’ve read great stories that would have worked best as original fiction, because I can’t feel the characters. Again, a very snob thought.

The story of how Nasir became Altair's little furry partner in crime.
It was a Friday morning around 6;30. People were driving or walking to work, as the birds chirped and the eagles soaring through the open air, somewhere in the crowds of people, there was a blade walking among them, that blade was... Altair lbn-La'Ahad.
Altair was wearing his modern outfit, which was a plain white jacket hoodie, a black T-shirt underneath, navy blue pants, a leather belt, and black brand shoes. He was walking towards Mike's cafe, as he did every Friday and Monday morning.
The cafe bell rang as he walked inside, there at the cash register was Michael, wearing an open jean-jacket with some different pins on it, a red t-shirt, tan pants, and a red beanie hat.
Michael: yo! Altair! How's my main man doing?
Altair: I am doing well Michael.
The two fist bump, Altair and mike high fives from top to bottom then ending the handshake ending with them gripping both their forearm and shaking them. They both then let go and continued talking.
Altair: how have things been with you and the cafe?
Michael: I've been doing good, the same goes for the cafe too. So what can I do for my favorite customers slash good friend, today?
Altair: the usual Friday and Monday breakfast, please.
Michael: the butter coated croissants with a warm brew latte.
Altair: that would be it yes.
Michael: all right, and how many croissants would you like?
Altair: the usual five, please.
Michael: alrighty then, that'll be $17.99, please.
Altair: *hands him a coupon and three dollars*
Michael: Awesome, I'll get your drink and latte in a few minutes.
Altair: -nods-
A few minutes later Michael handed Altair his Latte and a white paper bag with the five butter-covered croissants inside.
Michael: there you go, a latte and five butter coated croissants.
Altair: *grabs the Latte and paper bag with the croissants inside* shukraan lak, thank you, Michael.
Michael: no problem man, hey you, Desmond, and Ezio are still going boating with me next week, right?
Altair: I believe we still are, yes.
Michael: right on dude! Well, I'll see you later then! *waves goodbye*
Altair: *makes a small wave back*
Altair exits the building and begins walking two blocks over to a bench that was next to an alleyway. Altair takes a seat on the bench, as he took a sip of his Latte.
Altair: ... *looks around to see if anyone was watching him* ... *turns around to the alleyway* *click* *click* Goldie~ come here Goldie~
Just then a large black cat came slowly emerging from the alleyway. The cat was a midnight black cat that had ember gold eyes just like Altair's eyes. The cat meows happily back at Altair when suddenly a large bulldog came around the corner and growled at the black cat.
Dog: GRRR- BARK BARK!!
Goldie: HISSSSS! *scratches at the air and towards the dog*
Altair: HEY! GET AWAY FROM HER!!!
Altair quickly got up and got in between the dog and the cat.
Altair: I SAID GET AWAY FROM HER YOU STUPID DOG! LEAVE HER BE!!!
Dog: *snarls and growls* BARK! BARK!
Altair: *gets in the dog's face* GRRRR! HISSSSSS!
Dog: ... *whimpers* *leaves with his tail between his legs*
Altair: Tch, stupid dog never learns! *sigh*... you ok Goldie?
Goldie: Meow~ *rubs her head on Altair's leg* Purrr~
Altair: Heh, I take that as a yes.
The cat smiles at Altair as it jumps on a few boxes and onto his shoulder, as he walks back to the nearby bench. The cat leaped off his shoulder and onto the bench and sat next to him on the bench. Altair pulled two butter coated croissants out of the paper bag and gave one to the cat.
Altair: one for you.
Goldie: meow~ *starts eating the croissant*
Altair: and one for me *starts eating his croissant* *pets the cat with his left hand* did you miss me, girl?
Goldie: Purrr~
Altair: Heh, I missed you too.
A woman came walking up to Altair. The women had a short dirt blond hair cut, wore black high heels, long light grey pants, and a fancy grey, open, button, jacket, and a white shirt.
Women: oh, look who it is. Tch, well I guess it is pretty common in New York to find psychopaths on the streets, so why am I surprised?
Altair: 😑 oh... Hello Linda... what brings you to the streets at this hour?
(Altair threatened Linda at a bar after she was being a jerk to Desmond)
Linda: *looks down at Goldie* What. Is. That? *points at Goldie*
Altair: *sarcastic gasp* Linda I'm shocked. Did your teacher not inform you about what a cat is?
Linda: -_- don't be a smart @$$ with me, you know what I meant... so is it yours?
Altair: sadly no, she is a stray.
Linda: gross. Why is it sitting on public city property?
Altair: uh... cause it's public and anyone can sit here?
Linda: ya, people can, not wild, dirty animals. I would say you're not allowed to sit there either, but unfortunately to the government's eyes, your a person to I guess.
Altair: really? Cause right now I'm staring at the likes of an old crusty dinosaur and I'm pretty those went extinct a long while ago.
Linda: *gasp*! Well I- HMF! Well doesn't matter cause I'll just call animal control if you don't get rid of it!
Altair: you're not doing sh*t, you sayidat majnuna! You're not gonna call them for sh*t! Goldie is-
Linda: he isn't legally yours! What authority do you have to stop me!? Hm? Tell me, what legal authority do you have that will prevent me from doing so?
Altair: ... (sh*t she's right for once) still, birds sit and stand here all the time! You gonna call them on a bunch of birds too!?
Linda: listen here alt!
Altair: Altair.
Linda: I don't care if your name was bob or steve! If I could I would, but those little rats with wings are everywhere! And I can't do much about them, but this I very much can!
Altair: so help me Linda you call them on her-
Linda: you have no control here!
Altair: *swiftly gets up* LINDA I WILL-
Linda: *she wags her finger close to Altair's face* tisk, tisk, tisk, now Altair. Wouldn't want to cause a scene in the public eye, would you now?
Altair: ... (I can't let them know, what I am... Linda already has enough suspicion on me and the family)
Goldie: mow?
Altair: *looks down at Goldie*
Goldie had gone ahead and pull out another croissant from the bag and eat Altair's half-eaten one.
Altair: ... *makes a small smile at Goldie and pets her gently on the head* (I can't risk word getting out and exposing us to Abstergo.) *looks back at Linda with a glare* I won't let you.
Linda: well if you don't, why not just adopt the thing?
Altair: as much as I'd like to, Shaun doesn't let us have pets in the house.
Linda: well what a shame... tell you what, since I'm in a generous mood. I'll give you till tomorrow to say your goodbyes. But by the time I come back, that chubby cat has got to go! Now ta ta, I'm about to be late for work.
Linda continues walking past the two, leaving a lonely Altair alone with his cat.
Altair: ... *sighs* *slumps back down on the bench* ... what are we going to do? ...
Goldie: meow? *nuzzles into Altair's side*
Altair: ... Heh *scratches behind Goldie's ears* don't worry Goldie, I won't let her take you away to some animal prison.
Goldie: mow~
Altair: *reaches into the bag and pulls out another croissant and gives it to goldie* here you go, my little qath saghira.
Goldie: Meow~ *starts eating the croissant*
Altair: *chuckles* ... maybe Linda is right, you are getting a bit big. *pets goldie* Maybe I should stop giving you so many croissants.
Goldie: mow~
Altair: you have been eating a lot more as of late, funny *rubs her tummy* it's almost like you're-... You're... *looks over at Goldie in shock* goldie... your... no...
Goldie: *happy Meow sound*
Altair realized that goldie was pregnant, as an assassin, he doesn't get surprised rarely, but when he does, it's quite the sight to see.
Altair: ... *chuckles* I can't believe this. *picks up Goldie in his lap* you are pregnant aren't you?!
Goldie: meow~ purrrs~
Altair: I'm going to be a grandpa! *chuckles* well I'm technically already am, but this is different. I'm so happy for you my little gold~ *chuckles* Eha... ha...
Goldie: mow?
Altair: ... I can't let Linda take you away, no less leave you here with that stupid mut! Lurking around every corner... I can't just leave you when your most vulnerable at this state, nor can I leave you and your kittens here, the streets are no place for you and your kittens.
Goldie: meow...
Altair: ... *sighs* ... you know what, screw Shaun's rules of no pets!
Goldie: mow?
Altair: *whispers to Goldie* I'm the leader of the assassins and one of the best according to history. *normal talk* I should be able to make my own damn decisions!
Goldie: Moew!
Altair: damn right Goldie! If Shaun has a problem he's gonna have to deal with it!
Goldie: MOEW!
Altair: *picks up Goldie and stands up* yes goldie! Let me hear you roar!
Goldie: MOEW!
Altair: THAT'S THE SPIRIT! WE-
Man: *clears throat*
Altair and Goldie: ...
Man: ...
Altair: *clears throat* ... how much of the conversation did you hear?
Man: ... just about how if this guy named Shaun has a problem with you and your cat that he'll have to deal with it...
Altair: ... oh.
Man: ...
Altair: ... don't you have work or something?
Man: don't you?
Altair: no.
Man: oh... lucky. *leaves*
Altair: ... *looks at Goldie*
Goldie: *looks back at Altair*
Altair: *chuckles* tomorrow Goldie, I'll take you home before Linda can take you away. There you can have your litter of kittens in the house and not out here in the streets.
Goldie: *happy meow*
Altair: *kisses Goldie's forehead* I promise, I won't let anything happen to you little one. I will take care of you and your kittens for as long as I may still breathe.

Hhnnnrgh get ready for old art in this post because I’m not redrawing all this shit right now.
The official name for it is High School Dance Club AU, or HSDC. So basically, pretty much all of this takes place in the same high school, where the Nohr and Hoshido families both attended. The Nohrian family make up the foundation for the school’s Classical Dance Club, while the Hoshidans make up the foundation for the Modern Dance Club. They, but mostly the club presidents Xander and Ryoma, disagree on dance styles.
Xander doesn’t recognize modern dance as an art form, and thinks only classic styles like waltzing are worth anything. Ryoma thinks Xander has a big stick up his ass and he needs to lighten up, and that modern dance is a valid art form and in fact is harder because it usually involving singing AND dancing. The club rivalry is pretty intense and neither side will get over themselves about it.

(I’ll just talk about Nohr mostly since they’re the only sketches I have right now)
Xander is the president of the Classical Dance club, and a senior. He started the club, and he’s the eldest of the four Nohrian siblings. He’s mostly the one keeping the rivalry with Ryoma going, ever since his father Garon made an offhanded comment about Sumeragi being “uncivilized” (he’s not, he’s just a better father than Garon is), and since Garon keeps pushing the pressure of continuing the family company unto Xander, he’s just mimicking his father’s viewpoints. That’s also he wears a full suit everyday, despite having no real reason for it. He does care a lot about his siblings, but he’s kinda just....awkward. He’s like an early millennial, but he has no social media presence (though he frequently shows up in the background of his sibling’s social media), and therefore doesn’t understand memes.
Camilla is the second eldest and also a senior. She wears leather jackets and rides a motorcycle despite Xander’s protests. Since Garon isn’t a very good dad and is hardly home, she’s taken up role as the defacto mother of her siblings. She’s closer with Leo and Elise because of it, and also because she actually has social media so she actually understands memes. She’s Vice President of the dance club, and maintains the rivalry for appearances but she and the two younger siblings don’t really care too much. She does parcipate in practice though, and she’s probably second best behind Xander in the club. 
Leo is the secretary/treasurer (damn if I remember what positions you need in a high school club) of the dance club, third in the family and is a sophomore. He doesn’t actually dance in the club, but he’s still involved with all the paperwork, the club’s funds, scheduling practices, so on. He’s mostly just in the corner of the club room doing “work” on his iPad. He’s an excellent student and tries to follow in Xander’s footsteps despite the two being kinda awkward around each other. Really he just watches anime on his tablet all practice. He’s like a closet anime fan, only his squad Odin and Niles know, along with Elise, since she likes anime too. Hes kinda that line between millennial and gen-z, and though he doesn’t seem like it he’s fresh with the memes.
Elise is the youngest and a freshman. She also dances in the club but is probably the least serious about the whole club rivalry, since she thinks it’s silly. She understands why Xander is doing it though and won’t argue with him. She gets along the best with Leo, but they also have the most sibling rivalry and will occasionally be found T posing at each other from across the hallways of their house. She’s gen-z and is very into the memes, she likes anime too and argues with Leo for hours about who’s the best ninja in Naruto and why magical girls can transform without getting interrupted. 
So where’s Corrin and Azura fit in?

So there’s Corrin and Kamui, they’re twins. They transferred over from a serperate high school and are both in junior year. The backstory on them is due to circumstances unknown to them, they were taken from their birth parents. At some point they were adopted, and they grew up together under the care of their legal guardian, Jakob. When they started high school, they made fast friends with Azura who was another kid that was adopted. Both twins like to sing and dance, and they wanted to join both clubs but were barred from one or the other because of, you know. Well they decided that was bullshit and with Azura, came up with a plan: get the clubs to reconnect, so that at the end of the year, they could win the regional high school performance arts competition. 
Every year in the region, the high schools compete in performance arts competition. Technically the Nohrians and Hoshidans can enter as she-erase groups despite being from the same school, but they’ve always lost. Now it’s the last year for both Xander and Ryoma, and Azura has a plan to get them to make up and work together to win. She’s watched they fight for three years and despite being close friends with both families, she’s never been able to get them to see eye to eye. So with the twins working with her, the following plan is enacted:
Corrin, the sister, joins th Classical Dance club, and becomes close friends with the Nohrian family. Kamui, the brother, joins the Modern Dance club and does the same. By working as double agents, they plan to slowly convince the two families to forget their rivalry and work together, as well as plan a joint performance for the end of the year competition so that they could finally win the completion as friends instead of losing as enemies. If this is starting to sound like a cheesy high school musical teen type movie then GOOD because that’s EXACTLY WHAT IS IT.
That’s the gist of the plot but here’s some other characters I had ideas for:

Odin, Selena and Laslow are transfer students similar to the Corrin twins. They all in the Classical Dance club. They’re all juniors but have been going to that school since sophomore year.
Odin’s name is really Owain, but when he transferred he told everyone his name was Odin. Why?? Because it....sounded cooler. He’s pretty openly in anime, he’s the kid that Naruto runs down the hallway in high school and constantly talks about his “dark power”, you know the one. He became friends with Leo when he caught him watching anime during practice. Together with Niles they’re all close group of friends.
Niles is that kid that just, never showed up to class. He’d only show up for important tests but otherwise ditched the second he had the chance. Despite that he does pretty well in class. Not a second passes when he’s not saying something nasty. Leo stuck up for him once when he was getting picked on by some dickheads, and though he could take the verbal abuse the act stuck with him and he’s been close friends with Leo ever since. He has kinda a rough home life, so he’s usually at Leo or Odin’s house. Luckily Garon is not really home to complain and Odin’s mom is nice and let’s him stay over often. He refuses to wear any shirt that doesn’t show off his cleavage.
Selena also uses a modified name, but it’s more for paranoia that somebody might recognize her if she uses her real name. Her mom is kinda famous and she hates being compared to her, so at the chance to be just “Selena” and not “Cordelia’s daughter” she took it. She’s got a mean streak which tends to ward people off but she’s very close with Odin and Laslow, since they were friends in their old school. She plays water polo and hitches a ride with Laslow and Odin after practice, since Laslow is the only one of their group that has a car and a drivers license. She also hangs out with Camillla and Beruka, who rides a motorcycle like Camilla, a lot.
Laslow’s name is actually Inigo, but for similar reasons to Selena, he goes by Laslow since he doesn’t want to be recognized as his mother’s son. It’s more from embarrassment, because his mom is an exotic dancer. He isn’t ashamed of it, but he’s afraid of what other people might say and just tries to keep it a secret. Because of his mom though, he’s very good at dancing, and joined the Classical Dance club when Xander caught him dancing after school while waiting for Selena to finish water polo practice. He has horrible stage fright but Xander sees potential in him, so he’s working on being able to dance in front of other people. Xander asks that Laslow teach him his unique style, and Laslow reluctantly agrees. It’s how they became close.
I have some other notes that aren’t as detailed about characters. Peri is a scene kid, Keaton is the furry kid you also see in high school that wear a hate with wolf ears on it and a clip on wolf tail. Effie and Arthur are both on the football team, Effie is the star player and Arthur is....usually the distraction. You’ll be pleased to know I didn’t actually finish Fates so I only know so much about some characters, but yeah.
I’ll try to make some comics about the Hoshidans so I can talk about them too, but for now this is what I got.

Another year and a whole lotta improvement! 
I wasn’t on tumblr for the entire first half of this year but if y’all want I’ll post the first & second half of the year as masterposts so that you can enjoy viewing the full pictures! 
Talk about me being a fandom-hopper, I’ve had a whole variety of fandoms and new faves this year more than ever! It’s been very fun in that respect. Here’s an anthology summery in a little more detail including links to the original pieces:

Jan: I finished 2017 with a finished collaboration for the Kingsman Flash Bang with the AMAZING @elletromil. Together we created a gritty modern-fantasy AU called ‘Taking Flight’, she wrote an ABSOLUTELY STUNNING story and I illustrated a cover and a playlist (which i still love and worked incredibly hard on!)
Feb: I became invested in the anime The Ancient Magus Bride, I wasn’t keen on the main story but I loved the attention to British folklaw, a lot of which is usually forgotten in most fantasy-type settings and the fact that it went from sweet domestic family stuff to an unsettling horror story in 0.05 seconds. I also really liked Chise & Ruths sibling relationship and cried when Ruth became her familiar.
Mar: i.e. the month i realised that the MCU is actually pretty good and got swept up in my love for marvel once again after years, also I loved drawing Bucky & Hyenas and that combo gave me LIFE.
April: I started making a Stucky-centred MCU Merfolk AU called ‘There’s Blood In The Water’, I’m still writing it and idk if I’ll ever post it but honestly I think it’s some of the best writing I’ve done in a little while aside from one fic. My AMAZINGLY ACCURATE MCU ‘College For Dummies’ AU which I completed in THREE DAYS in the same month, based on real experiences of me and my irl friends, its a comedic-slice-of-college-life fic that still remains my favourite writing piece I’ve done to this day.
May: That Month I Binge Watched The Alienist And Made A Modern AU Lovingly Called ‘Bratwurst, Pizza and Chinese Food’ which I still ADORE and am eagerly awaiting the 2nd series so I can revamp it again because GOD i love Laszlo, John and Sara SO M U C H still.
June: For a challenge on my old Marvel Animo I made a Steve/Bucky/Peggy AU called ‘Bucky Barns’ Day Off’ based on Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (one of my fav movies ever tbh), I organised the entire cast with MCU characters from CA:TFA and made a few moodboards and scene redraws. It’s only a one-off AU but its still GREAT omG.
July: I FINALLY watched X-Men: Apocalypse, delve into my never ending love for the X-Men, binged my childhood (X-Men: Evolution) and fell in love with the garbage stink goblin that is Toad. 
Aug: Nightcrawler has always been my fav but Toad has honestly become one of my faves I’m gonna carry with me for a looong long time, what a terrible british disaster meme.
Sept: I was still heavily into X-Men (and will always be tbh) but I did a collab with someone over on Marvel Amino, my half of the trade being with Falcon and Redwing. I’m still v proud of the lineless art I did!
Oct: I watched Venom and thrived in the monsterous, friendly, supportive fandom who stuck by me even when my main artwork for it was a shapeshifting companions AU! I actually made a LOT of content in October but I don’t have anything I like enough to feature it in this summery!
Nov: In addition to making a Fix-It Dora and The Blue Symbiote (which i lovingly dubbed as Fester) Survives AU which a lot of y’all love, I also stumbled back into Twilight of all fandoms and made some good rarepair content. It’s chill though, we’re all kicking SMeyer’s Ass, making HILARIOUS memes and huge on supporting lgbt folks!
Dec: I’m head-over-heels in love with Rohemian Rhapsody (though I don’t make anything for it), X-Men, Venom, am eagerly awaiting to see Into The Spider-Verse (which a adore already) and have a terribly wonderful Spidersona! :D
