What Happens in Vegas
Thanks @zablife for the moodboard, i added the heart cake lol
@thegreatdragonfruta
It was supposed to be a pre-honeymoon trip to get away from all the stress from their royalty worthy wedding taking place in a month.
They’d met here, both of them getting shitfaced and testing their good luck before the semester began at Harvard Business College. Jack had gotten there on scholarship, busting his ass to earn his place, Eva got there because of her family’s money. At some point, they met during the endless night and woke up in bed together, forgetting how different they were.
And when they continued their fling during their two years at Harvard, things took their course. They were friends, then he needed a fake girlfriend for his eldest sister’s destination wedding in Cozumel, and when they came back to New York, she was the first woman he had ever been serious about.
He never even considered cheating on her with his boss’ slutty daughter, a thing unheard of in him. By the time they graduated, Jack knew he couldn’t live without her and proposed that same day. They ended up everywhere, which gave them a boost when they started their own investment company together. Nelson and Smith.
Now they’re taking the pink Cadillac convertible he fixed up just for her to the place it all began: Las Vegas.
“I wish I could marry you now, I’m tired of all the waiting.” He admits as the first night here leads them to the casino they met.
Neither care enough about the gambling, just telling everyone who listens that they met here and were getting married in September. They’d gotten free chips, free champagne, and an Elvis impersonator out of duty gave them his card.
“So let’s do it. You heard Elvis, the chapel’s open 24/7.” Eva, who’s impulse control is as terrible as his, says, taking out the card from his pocket.
They blow their winnings on getting ready for it with anyone present here invited to it. It is so unlike the grand event waiting for them at home that it makes it even better. Their family would hate them if the canceled the other one, for fucks sake his granny was coming from Ireland.
Eva looks amazing, a short and tight mini dress and a veil bedazzled with the words till death in black and silver rhinestones. The rings were modest, with the words Mrs. to match his that say Mr.
The cake was fucking weird though.
Eva was incredibly glamorous and cool, but she was also goth. The cake was going to be a heart shaped what happen in Vegas cake for two or two anatomically correct hearts.
Eva didn’t even wait for the guy to finish his sentence to say yes.
By dawn, they were married, and by the time they left Vegas, they had matching tattoos to commemorate their elopement.
“I’m gonna get the hearts as our wedding topper.” The newly minted Mrs. Nelson proclaimed as they left the city in the vintage car now sporting a just married sign.

The Avengers: Earth Mightiest Heroes & X-Men Evolution series watch
The Man in the Ant Hill written by Christopher Yost
This episode begins somewhere in the African jungle where scientist Hank Pym is studying a rare piece of vibranium that was discovered by SHIELD. Ulysses Klaw invades Pym's lab in attempts to steal the sample but is quickly defeated by Hank utilizing his Ant-Man technology.
Sometime later in New York Janet van Dyne expresses disappointment that Hank's only interested in his research and not utilizing his abilities for anything else. A supervillain named Whirlwind attacks New York City destroying after attempted robbery. Janet as The Wasp, engages in a battle with Whirlwind. During the fight, Wasp leads Whirlwind into Ant-Man's swarm of insects, stopping him from causing more damage.
After Whirlwind's capture, Fury thanks the Wasp and Ant-Man and offers them a recruitment pitch. However, Hank and Nick get into an argument about the prison that Hank created. Hank had designed the Big House, a prison that shrinks down criminals and places them in a miniature prison, for SHIELD as a way of rehabilitating criminals, not punishing them. Fury argues that Pym's views are too idealistic. SHIELD is fighting on the front lines to protect people from supervillains. Fury then asks if they even bothered to ask what Whirlwind had stolen, which was a sonic disruptor for Klaw.
King T'Chaka faces a challenge for the throne of Wakanda from the Man-Ape. Prince T'Challa tries to convince his father not to fight, but T'Chaka is a traditionalist and refuses to back down. During the battle, the Man-Ape fights unfairly and uses an invisible sonic weapon to defeat T'Chaka, killing him and claiming the Wakanda throne. In response, Prince T'Challa flees Wakanda, takes on the persona of the Black Panther, and leaves his homeland. Later on, the Man-Ape is revealed to have teamed up with Klaw, promising to give him access to the valuable Vibranium.
So a little trivia is that these first five episodes Were originally released as 20 micro episodes before being edited together. This is the episode where that is the most obvious. It's not a critique but this episode feels very much divided into segments. The Black Panther part was just kinda place at the end only tangtially related because of the vibranium.
As for characterization I think this is the strongest. Probably because Janet and Hank are together, they have someone to bounce off of in a strong way as heroes. Hank is really so sweet in this with his enthusiasm about science and thinking everyone must love it. Janet also comes of strong with her desire to be part of the action.
T'Challa sadly get a little a lost in the background as his interduction is more focused on the fight between T'Chaka and Man-Ape. Also people die on this show pretty violently. They don't exactly show it fully onscreen, but T'Challa gets beaten to death. Even the last episode Bucky crushed a man to death.
I really love how the animation of this show incorporates elements of Jack Kirby's art it' looks really cool. Also this show has such a strong used of shadows and colors that I feel is absent in a lot of modern action cartoons.
Speed & Spike Written By Bob Forward, Bob Forward & Rick Ungar
Storm watched her nephew Evan play basketball at his high school where Pietro Maximoff is also a player. Even scored the winning basket, but spikes grew out of his arms as he fell. Storm and Pietro noticed and later, Storm invited Evan to join Xavier's Institute. Evan asked her to wait until the next morning to talk to his parents. Xavier contacts Storm about Jean Grey and Scott Summers joining them. Cerebro detects a new mutant at a ball game. Evan's locker is broken into again and Pietro offers him money to catch the thief. Later, Jean, Scott, and Storm visit Evan's home but he behaves rudely and leaves. At school, Pietro wrecks the lockers and frames Evan.
Everyone meets at the jail to pick up Evan. Scott proposes Evan's release in exchange for joining the school. Evan agrees. The X-Men talk about his desire for revenge. Magneto and Mystique plan to recruit Quicksilver by organizing a basketball game between Bayville and Evan's former school. Evan trains with X-Men in the Danger Room. The basketball game is suddenly scheduled, so Kitty calls Evan. Evan confronts Pietro, but Jean and Scott arrive to help. Quicksilver wrecks Main Street. X-Men stop him. Evan is cleared, Magneto frees Pietro. Quicksilver agrees to join Magneto. At the mansion, the X-Men are gathered together. Xavier assures Evan that he is a welcome addition, and Storm agrees.
So, Pietro but no Wanda. She won't be introduced until the next season. I don't know why they did that if they had any specific plans.
This is the episode is another to touch on the self-fear that mutants might have about themselves as Spyke starts off with a reluctance to join the Xavier Insitute and not wanting to tell his parents he has a mutant despite them knowing it was possibly and clearly having no problem with Storm. I wish it could have delved a little deeper into this but it ends up being drop the first after the first act to focus on Spyke and Pietro rivalry.
This was another fine episode. The action scenes I feel were a little choppy but not bad. It's just compare to EMH they do come off a little weak in comparison.
Evan Daniels/Spyke was a character specifically created for the series. But he never really taken of in the mainstream comics.

This is my first time requesting a scenario from a writer and I was wondering if you could do a cute scenario of MC and Jack Rutherford going for a romantic walk together and maybe even share a kiss? 😅 I'm a bit shy to ask for this and I completely understand if you can't take the request 💜
AAAAAAAA
okay lets go
Jack Ruthford x *nonbinary* Mc
they/them pronouns
and it will be like a modern au? Sorta idk
+all the characters from the game and my ocs *but they’ll be a part of the story for like a small paragraph *
tw; those cliche summer stories that I love so much
Summer can go by either quickly or slowly
but summer this year went by fast. We all were at the beach and the sun was just about to set
Rin, Coco, and Eva were trying To get a fire ready.
Yuki, and cecelia we’re chucking sand at eachother. With an addition to Yakumo.
Louis and Fefe were sitting down in the sand
and y/n and Jack were on a walk
“be careful,” Jack warned “Why-? It’s just sand” “Sand or not still be careful.”
“okay-”
As the sun set more they continued walking around
Even As the sun went down it was still sorta warm outside.
“maybe we should go back..” jack said
“not yet..” y/n said
“Jack you know summers almost ending, right?”
“yeah, why?”
“then let’s go on a date before then-” y/n said clearly not asking for his consent
“fine”
“no wait really?!” y/n gushed
“sure, now come On, Everyone Else is probably waiting for us.”
JADABD okay literally I’ve had this idea since after 3rd period hour break so like yeah bc a teacher was talking about beauty and yeah so I’m like this would be a good idea
hopefully Jack wasn’t out of how he normally acts
i tried my best and Here it is!❤️
request if you want more

Where we’re going we won’t need Eyes to see - a teen wolf meta
With Teen Wolf meta we have this tendency to name check Event Horizon (1997) and run off without explaining it - especially in regards to the episode “Ghosted” where they were in Canaan which uses a lot of the same techniques and tropes. But before I explain how Teen Wolf got there we have to explain Event Horizon.
A friend of mine once called Event Horizon the greatest horror movie almost made, and that sums it up nicely.
Following the success of Mortal Kombat [1995 starring Linden Ashby] the studio gave give the director Paul WS Anderson [the Resident Evil guy] a budget of 60 million dollars, the large soundstage at Pinewood and Carte Blanche to deliver an R rated horror. The film he delivered was 121 minutes long and X-rated. It was externally editted down to 91 minutes or 96 minutes depending on region and legend has it that most of the narrative exposition went out of the airlock. As gory as it is - and it IS - it was much much worse and it’s entirely possible that this studio inflicted hatchet job is the reason Event Horizon has the cult following that it does.
Anderson did not waste a dollar of the money he was given, everyone in the film is a noted character actor and most of the dialogue makes them feel real [with the exception of one distinct line which is just hilariously bad]. The ship was a set [there is minimal cg and it’s bad as you’d expect for 1997 but it’s things like a floating water bottle] based on actual gothic architecture specifically notre dame. The crew of the Lewis and Clark [the rescue ship] is seven people because they were meant to represent the seven sins - maybe in the longer version they did. The “stranger” in their midst is Doctor Weir, who following the suicide of his wife whilst he built the Event Horizon, became obsessed with the ship is the one who wants to bring it “home”. The shot of the rotating space station where Weir is based was a miniature. As most of the effects were practical, as opposed to CG, they stand up to modern scrutiny.
The film was a critical and commercial bust, but over the years since it’s release it’s been insanely influential on the field of Sci Fi being responsible for IPs such as Warhammer 40k, Deadspace and even the Alien franchise [which Anderson dipped his toe in with Alien vs Predator] and is considered one of the greatest Lovecraftian horrors ever made.
Event Horizon is not a great movie, it’s…. I’m one of the people who adore it, as scary movies go it never fails to make my skin crawl but let’s get into the plot.
The Event Horizon was an attempt at FTL travel, instead of going really fast it punched a hole through the universe creating a worm hole that would allow the ship to exit somewhere else with a device called “the gravity drive”. On its test flight it vanished. Seven years later it reappears where it should have with no crew and only a mild distress signal. Weir (Sam Neill), the original creator takes the crew of the Lewis and Clark, a rescue ship captained by Miller (Lawrence Fishburne), to bring it back.
On finding the ship the youngest member of the crew, Mr Justin (Jack Noseworthy), goes into the drive room in full EVA and is dragged into the black liquid at its heart. He is rescued by Cooper (Richard Jones), but when they confront Weir he denies it’s possible despite that they could not have known what to describe. Justin is comatose. They find a recording of screams which has a latin phrase which DJ (Jason Isaacs) translates as save me. The med tech Peters (Kathleen Quinlan) starts to see visions of her son covered in sores. Weir starts to see his dead wife as she was when he found her but with empty eye sockets. The ship starts to pull at their sanity damaging the Lewis and Clark, Smith (Sean Pertwee) refuses to leave the Lewis and Clark and in the middle of that Justin gets up and puts himself in the airlock, setting it to open.
All of the characters are shown to have a dark history but because of the editting we often don’t know what that is. We know Peters has left her terminally ill son because of her visions. Miller tells us about a crew member he had to leave to die in a burning ship. Weir has his guilt over his wife, but the rest was cut.
They find the ruins of the old crew with a tape showing them dismembering themselves and each other and it turns out the translation wasn’t save me but save yourself from hell. Fans have actually translated it more accurately as save yourself from the fire.
Miller comes to the conclusion the best thing to do is go home and blow the ship from orbit but Weir refuses to go. He takes one of the explosives from the nave hallway and blows up the Lewis and Clark and Smith, this sends Cooper into space [where he has the worst line in cinema, seriously https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aUozFOlxVnM] and Miller and Starck [Joely Richardson] confront Weir on the bridge where he has ripped out his own eyes. DJ is found disembowelled over the medicine table. Distracted by Cooper’s return Weir fires a rivet gun at the ship’s window causing the decompression to suck him into space. Miller tries to use the explosives along the nave corridor to separate the ship from the gravity drive which he considers the source of his evil but he is separated from his crew by a burning man who turns into Weir. They fight, the corridor explodes and Miller is sucked into the black hole.
There is a gotcha ending where Starck sees one of their rescuers as Weir but wakes up screaming before the very ominous door closing.
So what happens? what is the one sentence synopsis?
See that’s where Event Horizon sort of wins. On its surface the ship went to hell and became alive and is now luring people in and trying to drag them into Hell. Except even within the movie that explanation doesn’t make sense. The characters talk about the lack of good air, that they are running out of air and it turns them on each other to an extent so did anoxia cause the hallucinations combined with the very gothic imagery to create a mass hysteria? Is it a pseudo Catholic vision of Hell where the characters unable to deal with their own guilt at ultimately tortured? Maybe? Was it all of the above? I don’t know. Other people have amazing explanations of what happened and here’s the reason why Event Horizon freaks some people out and others are meh, it’s not that easy.
It has holes and contradictions and huge chunks obviously missing. It has a narrow focus and it never lies to the audience, it misleads them by assumption but it’s consistent. Weir is the hook character we expect to be the hero, he is the outsider amidst the crew of the Lewis and Clark, he is the one with the answers and the refusal to see alternative answers. He has the most fleshed out back story but he turns into the human manifestation of whatever is going on with the ship yet he is the one who becomes the face of the villain. The ghost apparitions are genuinely disturbing. The quality of the acting could carry a much weaker script. The effects are excellent and the gore is astounding, and best shown briefly [although production stills are available if it was too quick for you]. The Lovecraftian questions are presented and NOT answered. They are isolated in a place where they are in constant danger and the hallucinations mean even their thoughts are unsafe.
Did the ship go to hell? Or was it an explanation Weir made up when he broke? Or is this a purgatorial nightmare where Weir is sent out to fetch more victims for the ship? Is he repeating this ad infinitum with this crew or is it a new crew every time? Is the she Weir speaks of the ship or the manifestation of his wife, Clare?
The film doesn’t answer any of these questions. They are all valid ways to see the movie. And based on Anderson’s filmography the reason that these all DO work is because the film was butchered like one of the ship’s crew.
Recently they found a copy of the uncut film in a salt mine in Transylvania so maybe we’ll see it.
But people who take it on surface value that the ship went to hell and is now evil wooo, generally just dismiss it as poor. It is clearly a mishmash of things Anderson thought was cool instead of deep, sets are so Alien inspired that the xenomorph could pop out of any of the lockers and no one would be surprised. The ship’s set is so gothic Dracula could be drinking tea in the med bay and it would make perfect sense. Yet it somehow, probably despite itself, works.
So back to Teen Wolf.
Event Horizon clearly had its shadows over the production and it’s in the ambiguity more than the cinematography [which owes its debts to Silent Hill]. What Event Horizon managed by accident [Anderson couldn’t have pulled it off deliberately] Teen Wolf tries.
Every character in Teen Wolf, no matter how minor, has a backstory but it is not one we are necessarily given. They have their own stories which intersect with the story we are being told. If we look at the chimera, for example, we saw Tracy’s complicated relationship with her father, we saw Lucas and his boyfriend, Corey, and Corey before we knew he was a chimera told us about Lucas. Caitlyn’s girlfriend Emily was taken by the Darach but she was nervous about her first time having sex so Caitlyn tried to make it special for her. This makes the characterisation rich and this one of the complaints about the show. We learn as much about someone who gets murdered five minutes later as we do about the show’s mains. Beacon Hills feels real because the people in it feel real.
Teen Wolf offers a surface answer which does not hold up to scrutiny - at all -ever and which is often ridiculous. @Sublimeglass refers to this as the show vs tell, Teen Wolf tells us one story and shows us quite another. Solutions to problems are often best guesses with the information that they have and are often contradicted seasons later as characters learn more.
The main character is presumed to be the hero but by the end is very clearly the agent of whatever it is that is going on that wants conflict - however defining that very clear presence in Teen Wolf is like getting rid of glitter, you know it’s there but you’re never going to get it out of the carpet. There is clearly an evil presence, and it is clearly in the water, specifically the lake beside Lydia’s lake house [which Lorraine set up a mountain ash barrier to protect her from] but the character’s don’t know it’s there. I am not saying that Scott is evil or villainous in this - that’s a very different meta - but instead that he is continuing the war that existed before him. He is recruiting a character like him to carry on the story. He is repeating the cycle like Weir sacrificing another crew to the ship.
One of the arguments with EH is that the ship is freeing them from “the fire” which is light and energy, which is complicated, basically that our universe with its physical reactions is Hell, and that by removing the flesh [I did mention Hellraiser was a huge influence, right, and the video game Doom 3] you could be “free”, and there is a similar idea in Teen Wolf where characters try to escape the detriments of flesh - Gerard looking for a cure for his cancer, the dread doctors extending their life, the attempts to build a better beast for their own immortality, the leonmensch trying to capture the Wild Hunt.
Yet if you reduce Event Horizon to “the ship went to hell and is now evil” the two do not match but both are phantasmagorical.
Phantasmagoria is where one or more reality might not be real but is instead a dream/hallucination that is indistinguishable from reality, and thus brings the “reality” in question.
In Event Horizon this is several dream sequences, Weir and Starck both have nightmares whilst in stasis. This means when Clare starts appearing to Weir and the child appears to Peters we are primed to know they are not real and this knowledge means we’re primed for a scare even when the subject is not scary, such as Peter’s visions of her sick son.
In Teen Wolf we have several sequences that are not “real”: Scott’s visions of the school bus attack; Stiles’ visions of the bandaged figure; Scott’s dreams of killing Liam with the mute. Then we have sequences where reality is much more loosely defined in Motel California - where the characters hallucinate - and Ghosted which is the most obvious point for the Event Horizon characters.
We also have flashbacks which are subject to the “Rashomon effect” where several variations of the same narrative are shown and the whole is unreliable [the Fox and the Wolf, Blitzkreig and Visionary] What we are shown in Teen Wolf is only slightly more reliable than what we are told, and the telling is from Scott’s point of view - although it is unclear if it is only the last episode, the last season half or the whole show which is narrated. Personally I think it’s the whole. Either way Scott is an unreliable narrator. We cannot trust the narrative as it is presented even if it didn’t openly contradict itself.
The Lovecraftian parallels have to be mentioned even if when it comes to writing Teen Wolf meta I find him popping up like a particularly obnoxious infestation. Combined with that is the heavy influence of Hellraiser [3 metas later I am quite confident that Hellraiser was involved] and the whole is unsettling if not disturbing or scary.
The visual language of Event Horizon is medieval gothic, with columns, long empty corridors, flourishes and twists and the ship itself is a cross based on Notre Dame. In Teen Wolf colours have meaning, characters have symbolic associations [although unlike the intent for Event Horizon they do not represent anything as overt as the seven sins. They reveal the characters but not general themes.] Each of the first five seasons has a symbol which is represented by Godai, Fire, Water, Earth, Air, Void [if six has one I haven’t cracked it yet but it is probably the ethereal or the other] and the cinematography is certainly as deliberate.
I can’t just end this meta because it’s one of those as soon as you see the movie you can see the parallels because they’re pretty much laid out on a plate but the two are so different that unless you sit down and think about it you’d never consider it.
I can’t say that Beacon Hills is a phantasmagorical town that exists outside space and is poisoned by its proximity to Hell - but I can’t say it’s not either because of the ambiguity and contradiction. I can’t say Weir is a victim driven mad by his own guilt or the ship possessed him because of the same contradictions.
Event Horizon managed what it did despite itself. Teen Wolf might have done the same.

What Happens in Vegas
modern!Jack x Eva
Chapter 3
taglist @justrainandcoffee @thegreatdragonfruta @zablife @hoodeddreams13
The party was a success.
Sure, they feel a little bad for lying, but it’s something they’ll be forgiven for eventually. Or they won’t find out at all if this trip to Cozumel works out like he thinks it will.
His mom likes her, something none of Jack’s previous girlfriends could say. Katie had been won over by the time they had sat for dinner and her fiancé had no suspicions about their relationship at all. Colin’s sister had been a little disappointed, but so were all the ladies Jack had been with this past school term.
“My place tonight?” Jack asks while they helped his mother clean up after. They could’ve left had they wanted to, but Eva wanted to show she wasn’t an out of touch nepo baby who had surprised his family with a chartered private jet for the wedding.
“Did you find my shirt?” said dark haired nepo baby throws back with a bit of a smirk.
“And like ten hair ties you lost.” He nods as he set aside the leftovers with his name written in sharpie. Leave it to Eva to know what he’d want to reheat tomorrow.
This fake relationship feels too scarily real. They know each other better than their previous flings enough to fool everyone into thinking it was all real.
So real he knows he’s fucked.
But he knows he has a chance or else Eva wouldn’t be here. She could have anyone she wanted, be anywhere else, but she was here cleaning the kitchen and getting water on her dress just for him.
When they finally leave it’s not him who kisses her under the mistletoe outside, Evie throws her arms around his neck and pulls him down to kiss him like she loves him.
“If you keep kissing me like that, I’ll get the wrong idea.” He wants to kiss her again, to savor the way things have changed since they arrived here intent on selling their charade.
“Maybe I want you to.” Eva admits, saying the words Jack hadn’t known he’d wanted to hear all night. But now that he has the tall young man wanted nothing more than to take her home with him and see whether or not they’ll be giving it a real try come Christmas morning.
“Keep the locket on tonight.” He orders and she suddenly appeared shy as her hand curled around the locket.
“Wouldn’t dream of taking it off, Jack.”
Eva would be lying if she said she never wanted to give them a try, but the fear of ruining their friendship was enough to keep things casual between them.
The sex had been different since then, more intimate, more vulnerable and then afterwards, Eva decided to stay the night instead of leaving as she always does and thanks to the weather, one night became two. She hadn’t slept so well as she did with him, been so long since she’d been this close to anyone. It’s late morning, but neither have anywhere to be so no real effort to leave bed is made.
The weather’s abysmal outside but here with Jack the cold is bearable. Eva might even stay in Boston if he can keep her warm like this forever. Loves cuddling with him, him being built like a brickhouse made her feel small and dainty and there was those sounds he made when she played his chest hair. The man was part bear, she swears as she is rewarded with a low groan as she pulled a little too hard.
“Did you mean it?” her lover asks in a softer tone he rarely uses even with her. Jack held her close, keeping her on his side with her head on the crook of the arm wrapped around her shoulder.
He has those moments where he’s not the arrogant loudmouth asshole she’s come to love, moments where he’s sweet and thoughtful and makes him wish she’d asked him out before their thing became a fake relationship.
“Yeah.” She moved upwards and kissed him to assure him she was very willing to see where it would go.
If it didn’t work out, they would not hold it against each other and probably stage a breakup and remain friends as they have been up to now. “We don’t have to do anything serious yet, maybe see where it goes before we decide if we’re still fake breaking up when the semester starts.”
Now she’s the one afraid he’s going to say no.
It was rare of him to be serious about someone, Eva has been the most serious relationship up to date and they’re fake dating each other.
“Always so cautious, Evie, its why we work so well together.” Jack teases her as they come to an agreement. “A trial run and if it doesn’t work out, we’ll go back to the way it was. Wouldn’t know how to survive school without you.”
“Neither would I.” she admits kissing him again and then playfully kissing the tip of his nose.
Had his date not blown him off that evening long ago, they wouldn’t have realized how compatible they were. One movie not-date where he beer and taco-ed her after a cheesy romcom and now they might end the year actually dating.
“So, when are you going to take me one a date, a real one this time.” Eva asked knowing he could really sweep a girl off her feet if he set his mind to it.
“Put your clothes on and I’ll take you right now.” Jack gave her a big sloppy kiss before prying her off him. “Don’t ask what where it is, it’s a surprise.”
He takes her ice-skating at the park; despite how this not at all planned ---made it all the sweeter, if you ask her--- Jack still manages to sweep her off her feet.
“Bet you didn’t see this coming.” Her not-so fake boyfriend pulls her onto the ice on skates he just laced her in like a gentleman.
“How long have you been plotting this, Nelson?” Eva holds on tightly to him being as graceful as a newborn foal on the ice. She never cared to try skating, didn’t like the cold and her idea of fun in the snow was a hot beverage in hand, a nice fire and some stranger to keep her nice and warm in bed.
“Since you told you’ve never tried it.” He pulls her close, letting her steady herself with him. If she’s not holding onto him for dear life, she’s embarrassing herself in front of him.
He’s played ice hockey, skated since he was old enough to remember because Katie loved it and as their first real date he takes to a frozen pond not far from their place near the college because her big guy was capable of being romantic when he wished it.
“And your exes claimed you were a terrible listener.” She teases him, feeling terrified of fucking it up and yet wanting to ignore her own suggestion earlier.
“’Cause they weren’t you.” Her tall American beau says so honestly ---because despite his flaws this man hardly lied--- it makes her heart skip a bit.
Could she have fallen for him?
“If you keep saying things like that, I might get the wrong idea.” She tries to play it off and can’t seem to figure out if she’s scared that it might blow up in her face or that it won’t.
“Maybe I want you to.” He tilts her chin up and leans down to kiss her as if they were the only two people at the rink. Nothing exists beyond them, and they are so caught up in their sweet little moment, Eva’s foot trips the two of them onto the ice.
“Not gonna be a trail run is there.” Eva murmurs as the cold seeks to sap away the heat between them as they laugh on the ice waving people off before getting back up again.
“Fucking stupid of me to wait so long to ask you.” He dusts himself off, and to show how unhurt he is despite him breaking her fall, Jack picks her up with ease like she was one of the dolls he got his new foster cousin for Christmas.
“Fault is mine, I was the one who stupidly suggested we be just friends that night.” She threw her arms around his neck with a giggle.
Their real first date ends in the late evening after he spent the rest of the day showing her every romantic Christmas place in vicinity. They end it on a Christmas light show sitting together and taking the first serious step in their relationship: changing their statuses on social media.
Katherine Nelson has no idea they owe her for this. Had she never tried to set her brother up with a bridesmaid, neither would’ve ever had the balls to actually give this a real honest try.

So I decided to make a large list of plots / faces / ships that I want, which you can find below the cut. It’s long. Check it out and message me/like this if you’re interested in any of them!
MOST WANTED
So I’ve got 3 ships that I want most of all: Niels Schneider x Xavier Dolan, Daniel Sharman x Frank Dillane, and Niels Schneider x Daniel Sharman. I’m completely open plot wise for any of these though for the Niels x Daniel one, I did make this post earlier and still 100% stand by it. I will love you forever if you do one of these with me.
CANONS
TEEN WOLF
I love this show too much and am so sad to see it go so why not do some 1x1s for it?
I love playing Isaac tbh and would love to have some ships for him. Allison x Isaac is like my OTP so if someone did that with me I would scream? I’ve also always been intrigued with the idea of Lydia x Isaac so I would totally love it if someone did that one too (and I’m cool with changing Holland’s face if you’re uncomfortable with her). Scott x Isaac, Stiles x Isaac, Jackson x Isaac are all some other suggestions. I’m intrigued with Boyd x Isaac as well so that’s a suggestion there too.
Also, sorry Thiam shippers, but I’m 100% forever on the Briam train so if someone would play Liam against my Brett, I’d be in heaven.
IN THE FLESH
Okay so, fun fact, this blog was re-purposed from an rp blog for a group that sadly died. It was an ITF inspired rp and I loved the character I played there and would love to bring him back. There was also a wanted connection I had for him that never got filled but that would be really great as a 1x1. You can read about my character Apollo Bellerose (Niels Schneider fc) here but here’s also a summary of the idea.
(Muse A is Apollo, Muse B would be your character.)
M/M -- Muse A was a wild child, a feral animal of fire and rule-breaking. Hopes for him were dashed at an early age as he set himself up as the trouble-maker. Muse B was the opposite -- tempered and popular. The only reason their paths crossed was because they grew up in the same small town, in the same class. But that should’ve been it. It was a surprise to everyone when Muse B and Muse A started hanging out together, soon becoming inseparable. They were just children but they were attached at the hip, growing into adolescence and teenagers. Muse A was still wild, Muse B was still calm -- fire and water, red and blue. When they were sixteen, their friendship evolved into something more intimate. Though the relationship could be fraught at time -- Muse A to blame in almost every case -- their bond ran deep. Or it did, until Muse B died suddenly. It was an accident or heart failure or something similar, sudden and unexpected. Too soon. One might’ve expected Muse A to go off the deep-end but, rather, he was numb, going through the motions. That was until the Rising happened and the dead came back. The world ground to a halt but with the PDS sufferers in treatment centers, the world is returning to normal and Muse A is getting back on his self-destructive track. He refuses to acknowledge that overwhelming possibility that Muse B would be one of those PDS sufferers, going so far as to avoid Muse B’s grave. With the PDS sufferers returning to Roarton though, it’s only a matter of time before Muse A wouldn’t be able to deny to it. But will an apocalypse be enough to sever their bond? Probably not.
My main suggestion for B was Xavier Dolan though I also originally suggested Daniel Sharman and Keith Powers. Matt Daddario, Bob Morley, and Dominic Sherwood would also work though Xavier and Daniel would be preferred. This is, like, one I really, really want to do still.
XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS
Campy 90s shows for the win (oh, and fuck you Looper -- it’s still perfectly watchable now). Anyways. I really want a Xena x Gabrielle plot, two bad-ass women travelling through the ancient world, kicking godly asses. As much as I love Lucy Lawless and Renee O’Connor, I realize that they’re not really usable so I’m totally down for changing the faces. Just... Please. Badass women and a canon that totally allows for AUs in all time periods -- it’d be awesome.
THE ORIGINALS
So um... I don’t want like a really super canon 1x1 here but like, after Koleb died, I got in my head this idea of what if, when Davina brought back Kol, Kaleb hitched a ride back. Kaleb’s bitter af but he was always kind of the way in my mind. The pairing would be Davina x Kaleb and we could also make this an OT3 if there was someone who’d like to play Kol as well but that’s not necessary for me.
LES AMOURS IMAGINAIRES
Uh... Indie French cinema for the win? Yeah, I know this won’t get any bites but I’m gonna try anyways. Basically a few years after the end of the movie, Francis and Nicolas meet again. There’s been some maturing, maybe Francis isn’t as close to Marie anymore (or maybe she got married or something). It’s slow-burn reconnecting and falling in love.
FEAR THE WALKING DEAD
So... I know Troy’s a POS person but I think there was potential for evolution in his character. He was isolated from a young age with an abusive father and alcoholic mother which didn’t give him much of a fighting chance in becoming a better person. Off the ranch though, I think he could have evolved. He also had a ton of useful information about walkers. Anyways, I’d like to give him that arc. Also I want to explore that mad chemistry between Nick and Troy so yeah. This masterlist might be good for some general plot ideas and tbh the “Who’s baby is this?” one just screams Trick to me.
GREEK MYTH
This can be like modern or actual myth -- either’s cool.
Zeus x Ganymede. Either historical like Zeus kidnaps him to be the wine-pourer and Zeus wants him but Ganymede is just perpetually pissed with him for KIDNAPPING him and Zeus has to win him over. Or maybe something modern that’s more sugary daddy/baby-ish?
Telemachus. I really love my baby Telemachus? Or Telemaque as the French would say. But, basically, there’s this suitor and he’s one of the younger ones, probably 25 or less, and not really in the running to win Penelope’s hand but eh. He doesn’t really care. He likes to tease Telemachus but as things get worse in Ithaca, he realizes he’s worried about Telemachus and starts teaching him how to fight and defending him and they start falling in love. He be all like ‘I’ll go with you’ when Telemachus goes to find his father (even though he doesn’t) and, when Odysseus returns, Telemachus has to defend him because he was technically one of the suitors and just... Please. (I’d play Telemachus.)
Odysseus x Penelope. Clever Odysseus and clever Penelope, dominating and tricking the world with their superior minds. A modern!AU.
HARRY POTTER
I love this universe so I’m super down for anything. I won’t do anything set at Hogwarts because I can never remain interested in that tbh but other stuff is cool. I highkey ship Remus x Sirius and would love to write them as long as the faces aren’t Andrew Garfield or Ben Barnes. I also love all the potential in the fucked up dynamic between Fenrir and Remus. I usually end up playing Fenrir but if someone wanted to let me play Remus in that, I’d adore you forever. A Regulus x Remus one would be awesome too. A Nymphadora x Remus ship would be cool too, as would a James x Lily or Lily x Marlene. Outside the Marauders era, someone needs to give me a Ginny x Cho ship. I also wrote a next gen son of Greyback (Lycus Greyback) once that I’d love to bring back. Maybe with Teddy? Or OCs -- OCs in the HP universe are totally okay with me.
PLOTS
So this tag has the plots I want but some I particularly want.
X. I’d like to be Muse B and maybe like have Tom Ellis as A? Or Jason Momoa? Idk. I’m open but I think it’d be super fun.
X. I’d be cool with playing either in this plot; I’d love to see Troye Sivan as A but again open but fun sounding.
“you’re supposed to be on a blind date with someone but you sat down at the wrong table and i haven’t been able to get a word in edgewise to tell you that and it’s been thirty minutes” from this post. I’ve no preferences on genders or faces just I think this could be cool.
Yo I’ve mentioned this multiple times not but THIS PLOT with Daniel Sharman as A and Niels Schneider as B -- let me play B and love. me.
“what is the ONE thing i asked you NOT to do tonight?” “raise the dead…” “AND WHAT DID YOU DO?!” “…raised the dead…” from this post. I really want to play a necromancer? Maybe we could do a Trick!AU where the walkers are because of necromancers and Troy has had to repress the fact he’s one his entire life and then Jeremiah and Jake are dead and yeah. But we could also do this as entirely OC. I’d still love it be necromancer-caused zombie apocalypse but I’m cool with other stuff.
“i’m a ghost and i’m trapped in the graveyard and i don’t normally talk to mortals but bro i have to ask wtf are you doing hanging around a graveyard is your life really this sad” from this post. open and fun again!
X. PLEASE. Any sort of serial killer plot would be awesome. Which is a weird fucking thing to say but okay.
“you and your friend always sit at the table a couple down from mine and gossip in [insert language here], which happens to be a language i’m currently learning. i’ve been eavesdropping to try and improve my listening comprehension and oh my god are you actually talking about how hot i am???” -- this please, from this post. maybe like a daniel sharman x tyler posey? or idk.
literally anything from this post but like i mention “who’s baby is this? au” for Trick in a canon divergent plot (ie. after they leave the ranch, before they get to the dam)
also this could also work for xavier dolan x niels schneider.
SHIPS
So how about a Xavier Dolan x Daniel Sharman? Or Jenna Thiam x Niels Schneider? Also Jack Falahee, Crystal Reed, Kat McNamara, Conrad Ricamora x Daniel Sharman. Other ones that don’t include Daniel, Xavier, or Niels: Eva Green x Caitlin Stasey (I’d also be cool with playing Eva if we used them for Xena and Gabrielle), Riz Ahmed x Fawad Khan (Fawad as a multi-billionaire playboy and Riz as a devoted grad student, maybe?), Charlie Hunnam x Jason Momoa, Marlon Teixeira x Willy Cartier, Andreja Pejic x Hari Nef, Andrew Garfield x Ben Barnes (but not as Remus and Sirius), Sofia Boutella x Charlize Theron.
FACES
It’s very clear that I love Daniel Sharman and Niels Schneider so they will always be most wanted, with Xavier Dolan as a close third. I feel most comfortable with them tbh and have the most muse for them (also I’ve made like 400 gifs of Niels). If you want to make me happy, let me play one of them and play one of the others against me. I would like to branch out at some point though so some others. There are honestly too many for me to list in their entirety so I’ll list only ones I have mentioned already. Bold are ones I want to play, italics I want used against me, plain are the ones I have no preference about (though I’d be open on most of the bold ones too).
Alycia Debnam-Carey, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Samuel Larsen, Adrianne Palicki, Laith Ashley, Elliot Fletcher, Iskra Lawrence, Lisa Teige, Iman Meskini, Hale Appleman, Tarjei Sandvik Moe, Adelaide Kane, Alexandra Daddario, Amber Heard, Josh Holloway, Angelina Jolie, Arden Cho, Barbara Palvin, Alex Saxon, Alexander Koch, Bianca Santos, Caity Lotz, Camila Quieroz, Cara Delevigne, Blake Michael, Avan Jogia, Austin Butler, Diego Barrueco, Bill Skarsgard, Booboo Stewart, Chloe Bridges, Byun Baek-Hyun, Diane Guerrero, Carlos Valdes, Josh Thomas, Dichen Lachman, Christopher Larkin, Eddie Redmayne, Ezra Miller, Gaspard Ulliel, Emeraude Toubia, Emilia Clarke, Famke Janssen, Gabriella Wilde, Halston Sage, Dev Patel, Douglas Booth, Godfrey Gao, Harry Shum Jr., Karen Fukuhara, Kiowa Gordon, Landon Liboiron, Matt Hitt, Matthew Gray Gubler, Keira Knightley, Kiana Lede, Lana Condor, Liza Soberano, Maira Walsh, Jamie Blackley, Jordan Fisher, Jamie Campbell-Bower, Megan Fox, Naomi Scott, Max Irons, Reece King, Richard Harmon, Natalia Dyer, Phoebe Tonkin, Priyanka Chopra, Madelaine Petsch, Seo Kang-Joon, Steven R. McQueen, Steven Yeun, Seychelle Gabriel, Shelley Hennig, Skyler Samuels, Haruma Miura, Lee Hyun-Jae, Thomas McDonell, Toby Regbo, Tom Holland, Tyler Blackburn, Joe Manganiello, Tyler Hoechlin, Cengiz Al, Froy Gutierrez, Tanya Beatty, Victoria Moroles, Zoe Kravtiz, Yoon Jeonghan.
This is not all-encompassing. There are plenty more faces. In fact, I’d love to use model faces without any resources -- just some old-fashioned writing, maybe some static icons if we feel like it.

2017: #2-WITCHES
Round about the cauldron go; In the poison’d entrails throw. Toad, that under cold stone Days and nights has thirty-one Swelter’d venom sleeping got, Boil thou first i’ the charmed pot. Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble.
- Macbeth.
It is now time to get to the bottom of the topic of witches - but we are staying away from witches’ bottoms! Once the topic of witches is raised, the cauldron of creepiness starts bubbling out witches all over the place. The Wicked Witch of the West is the archetypical witch, with the long pointy nose, green skin, black clothing, and conical witch hat. There were other Oz witches such as Glinda the Good Witch. Long before Oz, Greek mythology provided Medea and Circe. In Jason and the Argonauts, Medea mainly made potions and then ran off with Jason. Homer’s Odyssey had Circe trapped on an island turning sailors into pigs. The Middle Ages bubbled up Morgan Le Fay in the King Arthur legend. Shakespeare wrote famous plays with witches, such as in Macbeth. Witches were also featured in quite a few fairy tales. The Brothers Grimm’s Hansel and Grettel is perhaps the most famous witchy fairy tale. Mikhail Bulgakov’s The Master and the Margarita includes witches and the Devil galavanting with glee in Russia. Lloyd Alexander’s The Black Cauldron features the three witches of Orwen, Orgoch, and Ordxu who are actually helpful. Fritz Leiber wrote of witches in his novels, Conjure Wife and Our Lady of Darkness. Anne Rice wrote a three-book series, the Lives of the Mayfair Witches. But beyond literature, witches are also bubbling up in film.
I Married a Witch was a 1942 comedy, but 1960’s Black Sunday is horror. 1962’s Burn, Witch, Burn was based on Leiber’s Conjure Wife. Vincent Price hunted witches in The Conqueror Worm, but he was the villain persecuting the innocent. Christopher Lee was voodoo-dolled by his witch daughter in The House That Dripped Blood (see 2018: #1-GREAT HORROR FILM ACTORS). Rosemary’s Baby delivered us a delightfully witchy Ruth Gorden. The Witches of Eastwick had three witches summoning the Devil, Jack Nicholson. The Blair Witch has almost appeared in three films and probably has the greatest name recognition for a witch in popular culture. Sam Raimi’s Drag Me to Hell was about a witch’s curse. Even Marvel superhero films have included the Scarlet Witch (see 2017: #10-SUPERHEROES). Witches bubble up in the cauldron of creepiness beyond film and into television programs.
The Addams Family includes the witches of Grandmama as well as that of Morticia. Lara Parker portrayed the regular witch character, Angelique, in the original Dark Shadows tv series (see 2016: #7-GUIDE TO DARK SHADOWS). A few years later she played a witch in Dark Shadows’ creator, Dan Curtis’ other cult horror tv series, The Night Stalker, in the episode, The Trevi Collection (see 2015: #5-GUIDE TO THE NIGHT STALKER). There was a comedy tv series with witches, Bewitched, including the witches Samantha and Aunt Haggadah. Witches have made appearances in Doctor Who in the episodes, The Daemons and The Shakespeare Code which offers witches Mother Bloodtide and Mother Doomfinger (see 2018: #2-GUIDE TO DOCTOR WHO). The three-season series, Penny Dreadful, centered around the witch Vanessa Ives who was well-played by Eva Green. American Horror Story had an entire season, Coven, about witches and introduced us to such noteworthy witches as Cordelia Foxx and Misty Day; the Roanoke season featured Lady Gaga as the primal witch Scathach. Most recently, Game of Thrones has included the child-sacrificing witch Melisandre, the red priestess, who resurrected Jon Snow. Men can also be witches as seen with Lafayette in the True Blood series. There are even cartoon witches such as Winnie the Witch, Popeye’s watery Sea Hag, and there is Broomhilda from the Chicago Tribune comic strip. They are also in video games such as in the Dark Souls series with Karla the Witch and the fiery half-spider, half-woman, Chaos Witch Quelagg. The cauldron of creepiness overfloweth with a bevy of witches!
What sort of classifications can witches be put into to better understand them? Dungeons & Dragons is a good resource for monster listings and the game includes: Sea Hags, Night Hags, and Annis. There are evil black witches and white good witches, even neutral gray witches. Most witches are alchemists and make potions. Some witches have additional specialization of their magical ability, such as with Circe polymorphing people into pigs. There are solitary witches in comparison to covens of witches. But there are not too many classifications of witches. Desert dwelling witches are certainly not sandwitches, hold the mayo! The term, death hag, is not a classification of witch, but is a type of person who morbidly goes to cemeteries, reads obituaries, and indulges in other death-related past-times. What best distinguishes witches is what they do.
What do witches do? Witches tend to have the same goals and activities in mind. They primarily stand over their large cauldrons cooking up hideous magical stews and potions; in a way, they are pharmacists. The common crazy concoction they cook up consists of children and babies; few witches are vegetarians. Witches are often known to lure children, catch them, cook them, and eat them. Otherwise, they have to go to “witches supermarkets,” cemeteries, and dig up dead children. Witches cannibalistic proclivities primarily exist so they can make themselves younger. Witches are often very old. To make themselves either appear younger or actually physically become younger are their goals. This is seen with the famous illusion of the Young Lady or Old Hag. Witches deeply need to appear young and innocent, and they particularly enjoy the deceit of helping witch finders. In The Blair Witch Project, no physical form of the Witch is ever seen. However, early in the film, an eccentric town local, Mary Brown, is interviewed who very much looks like a witch as well as having interests and educational degrees beyond her age. I have always thought Mary Brown to be the normal human appearance of The Blair Witch. Witches also fly on brooms, often coating the broomstick or themselves wth a greasy oil they make from the fat of cooked children. Witches enjoy staying out late at night, generally doing evil things, and they hang out with the Devil and his minions. Midnight is known as the Witching Hour. Witches often summon up horrible things from beyond as well as have familiars reporting to them, usually in the form of black cats. They cast spells and excel in black magic. Witches often seem to feed off of fear itself, as seen in the Blair Witch films with wooden x-shapes that are left about decorating the forest to terrify the victims (see 2017: #1-THE PSYCHOLOGY OF HORROR).
Which are the most well known, supposedly real, witches? Folk tales do provide us with three well known witches. Baba Yaga comes from Russia, first written about in 1755. She was the typical old grandmotherly witch who created a hut that walked around on large chicken feet. She could be harmful or helpful, but was rumored to have a nasty nose. Black Annis is a witch rumored to live in a cave near Leichestershire, England since the Middle Ages (see 2011: #8-MONSTERS ON THE LOOSE 3). Black Annis is certainly less friendly than Baba Yaga since she is known to use her iron talons to grab children and devour them, later wearing their skins around her waist since she doesn’t shop at Versace. The Witch of Endor is not some witch from a Star Wars film ruling over the moon of the Ewok teddy bear people. The Witch of Endor is from the Book of Samuel from The Bible. She sees spirits rising from the ground and is a helpful and friendly witch…from The Bible?
Which is the most powerful fictional witch? Circe was either the daughter of Helios, the sun god or Hecate, the goddess of witchcraft. That would make her at least half divine, yet she was outwitted by Odysseus. The Graeae are a trio of divine witches from Greek mythology and are related to Medusa (see 2013: #2-MEDUSAS). However, the Graeae are old and share one eye, so they are handicapped. The Graeae is what inspires trios of old witches appearing in fiction such as in Macbeth. The Blair Witch certainly makes the top three since it is said to have killed more than ten people, often in rather groody and gory ways. 2015’s The Blair Witch showed the form of the Blair Witch if you freeze-framed the movie. It was very tall, thin, mostly naked, with stringy black hair and impossibly long arms and legs. Probably the monster form of Mary Brown. The Blair Witch clearly has little helpers or familiars, and it may have illusionary, hallucinatory, and mind altering abilities. It demonstrates an ability of manipulating time unlike any other witch. The Blair Witch may be the most powerful witch we have almost seen. But flying monkeys sure are cool.
In history were there really witches? No. Not at all. Old women who were sick were persecuted, tortured, and killed. It was an issue of people with bad brains contaminated with superstition and steeped in stupidity blaming others for their mishaps. Then those who were insanely religious moved into to glorify themselves while they tortured, oppressed, and killed others. Witch hunting clearly involved oppression of women, the mentally ill, and included the persecution of sexual deviancy. They fueled their witch hunting by believing that witches were going to unleash the Devil and bring about the Apocalypse. Books were written providing instructions on witch hunting, with the most well known book being the Malleus Maleficarum (The Hammer of Witches) from 1486. “Early modern artistic representations of witches articulated and perpetuated beliefs about witch’s bodies, emphasizing their diabolical power and moral weakness. The typical witch was depicted as old, and often naked (to display her sagging breasts, a sign of depleted and supposedly repellent femininity), with flying hair (a code for errant and uncontrolled sexuality). The cauldron—itself a perversion of female domesticity— also connoted a powerful, almost volcanic vagina (The Encyclopedia of Witches, p 132).”
What are the best witch films to watch for Halloween? The most recent critically successful film release was 2015’s realistic, The Witch. Rob Zombie’s The Lords of Salem is quite good. The Masters of Horror tv series episode, The Dream in the Witchhouse, is a particularly good and chilling adaptation of an H.P. Lovecraft story. But the original The Blair Witch project is one of the best. There are three magical foreign witch films I recommend. Suspiria is Italian director, Dario Argento’s best film. It was released in 1977 and includes the peculiar Udo Kier and Joan Bennett from Dark Shadows (see 2016: #7-GUIDE TO DARK SHADOWS). Haxan is a 1922 Swedish documentary that was banned in the US; watch the version narrated by William S. Burroughs. It is a creepy cornucopia of dark witchy images. Viy is a 1967 Russian film worth seeking out about a young priest who must spend the night in a haunted church; the special effects are unique.
I first became aware of witches when I was very young because a witch appears on Gypsy Witch Fortune Playing Cards which my grandmother owned. Have I ever actually known a witch? Yes, I worked with her at a strange retail store many moons ago (see 2009: #11-THE DIABLERO, THE WITCH, AND THE WARDROBES). But lots of people call themselves witches these days, for lots of reasons. Witches have permeated our culture from literature, film, tv, even music. Mort Garson’s delightfully danceable, 1968 album, The Wozard of Iz, has all sorts of witchyness. The topic of witches is very much like the two sides of the moon. One side is dark, nonfiction, and is full of innocent people being tortured and killed thru witch hunts. But the other side is illuminated, really interesting and creative, made of fiction and with possibilities of Halloween costumes and spooky movies. Life is a witch, then you fly.
