just dipping my toes into a deep dive on anne rice’s legacy in transformative works today. she really burned a thriving fan community to the ground and it is a testament to the new series that there’s been such a fan work resurgence and it is now a major responsibility of its current “official” (most powerful) stewards to treat that other material respectfully. rice’s copyright cudgel in the 2000s will have you shaking with anger if you care at all about fan communities or transformative work or copyright as a tool of class warfare

Genuine question, do the attached images add value for you? I spend most of the mod time for this blog actually just sourcing and compiling images. My perception is they might make the polls more eyecatching and give them a better chance of getting votes, but if they aren't adding value let me know.

My aggravatingly crafty husband has decided to decorate our home with little white sheets that he actually cut from bed linens. They’re everywhere, including hanging from some of the plants. It’s difficult to discipline the greenery whilst there are utterly ridiculous sheets with googly eyes discouraging proper behavior and encouraging… fun.

This blog is run by no other than a simple college student. Unfortunately this college student decided it was a good idea to stack her classes because she wanted to finish early. That was stupid. As it's now nearing the end of the semester and the next two weeks are finals, asks and reblogs are closed (We are currently at 0 so now seems like a good time). Mod is losing her mind and will not make this same mistake again next semester.

Autistic Near headcanons

rester is his caretaker

brushing his teeth is very overstimulating so he can’t brush his teeth without rester’s help

he needs help bathing, he becomes easily distracted in the bath with his toys and he forgets about washing himself, so growing up and as an adult rester washes him as he plays with his bath toys

he struggles with his bathroom cues

he stims with all of his toys and likes lining them up

he’s a slime enjoyer and attempts to make it from time to time, his favorite kind is cloud slime

he hates cooked vegetables

cannot drive and will never drive

rester does his taxes for him, he struggles with filling papers out on his own

he stims with scents so he enjoys sweet scented body washes and scented toys/stuffed animals

he wears noise cancellation headphones

he likes to sit in a lot of odd positions

worlds #1 potato hater

he dislikes wearing pants but he has to when he’s working around other people so he makes sure that they’re a specific fabric that he can stand wearing (either his current white pants or something soft and fluffy)
