Snotty Nose Rez Kids Drop Explosive New Single & Video, "NO DOGS ALLOWED"

Indigenous Hip-Hop duo Snotty Nose Rez Kids are back with a fierce new single and video, "NO DOGS ALLOWED," the latest release from their highly anticipated album RED FUTURE, set to drop on September 13th, 2024. Produced by the acclaimed dwilly (Megan Thee Stallion, bbno$, Tinashe), "NO DOGS ALLOWED" showcases Snotty Nose Rez Kids' signature blend of raw energy, sharp lyricism, and unapologetic authenticity. The track is an anthem of resilience and defiance, celebrating the duo's journey and the strength of their community.

Yung Trybez says:

“NO DOGS ALLOWED is for all the outcasts who were never invited to the party, those that never fell in with the 'cool kids.' It's an anthem for the weirdos that walk among us, who never really gave a fuck about your opinion of them! It's for the dreamers that stayed true to themselves no matter the shit they had to crawl through to get there. It's the anthem that'll be bangin’ through the speakers when we kick the fuckin doors down to the spaces that never welcomed us in.”

The accompanying music video, directed by frequent collaborator Sterling Larose, promises to be a visual feast. Larose, who previously directed the video for their hit single "BBE," brings his visionary style to this project, capturing the essence of the song with stunning visuals and  compelling storytelling. The video features appearances by several high-profile influencers, including Indigenous drag performers Ilona Verley of Canada's Drag Race Season 1; writer, producer and singer Quanah Style; and drag artist Shasha Wolfe.

In conjunction with the single and video release, Snotty Nose Rez Kids are set to embark on their highly anticipated RED FUTURE tour, which kicks off in Vancouver on September 21st, 2024, includes 35 electrifying shows across North America, and concludes in Toronto on December 6th, 2024. i feel like since engie cant upgrade the bored he would make specil props like

3 sentry figures (all diffrent levels)

a shasha figure (for heavy)

heart for medic (50% accurate to normal heart)

for scout it was a whole small version of him (his own request)

soldier has the bucket (he wanted the bucket)

sniper has a small camper van and tent (he got 2)

spy's piece went missing (it was a model of his sapper)

pyro got a pyro figure (who has a town mayor banner on them pyro loves it)

TF2 Monopoly Night

Scout initiates the game, he will not stop blabbering about how he's gonna kick everyone's butt, horrendously overconfident insisting that he's gonna win. He's the first to go bankrupt and it emotionally destroys him. He is so distraught over this it's actually pathetic.

Soldier has no idea how to play the game at all, but he's having the time of his life and that's what matters most. By some miracle he outlasts Scout but it's really not by much. A for effort, Jane, A for effort.

Pyro isn't even playing the game, they stole a handful of player pieces, houses, and hotels and are building a little city in the corner of the room, god-speed Pyro you funky creature.

Demo joined and was doing almost alright until halfway through the game he drunkenly passes out, right on top of the board, and they have to drag him off of it and scramble to fix all the pieces. Disqualified.

Heavy is one of the best players there, and he's silent too, you forget he's playing sometimes until all of a sudden you're on his property and hemorrhaging money like no one's business.

Engineer tried to spice up the game board with some "improvisations" and after an improvisation nearly caught the entire board on fire, he got kicked out. Disqualified.

Medic is the worst fucking cheat you know. If you take your eyes off him for even a second he's snatching money from the bank or from your pile, he has no shame and he's out for blood. As soon as Demo passed out Medic was snatching up his cash pile like a starving orphan.

Sniper joined the game a bit late, but caught up quickly and is doing fairly well, except for some reason even when he keeps a close eye on Medic, he swears he had more money than this, right? Right?

Spy isn't playing. He's cloaked, sneaking around, and sabotaging Sniper by stealing his money. What he does with the money is none of your business, but it's no longer with Sniper and that's what matters. Petty fucking bastards.

You are Not Listening

"I can't have another brownie, otherwise it's an extra mile for me to jog tomorrow."

"I got a tan again, I told you I didn't want to go swimming - I'm already dark-skinned as it is."

"I need a new razor. I have to shave my leg hair so I can wear a dress tonight."

"I need to go on a diet, I've been sitting on my fat ass for too long today."

"I have to buy this moisturiser otherwise my skin care routine is broken, then my face is going to break out again."

All these statements screams a pattern that immediately relates to you one way or the other, ladies. The most intriguing thing about self expression is that it's usually staring at you right at face value about a person's insecurities. Would you know what they were hiding if you knew what to listen for?

From diet fads to being shamed the color of your skin, does it really come as a shock to see how we are still confined to the endless pursuit of the model women? From having kids and family life to balancing a successful career, is it any wonder that the stresses we place on our girls from early on unfair? Then there's the abuse we suffer at the hands of who we are supposed to trust because we are never enough, not the "ideal" women they think we should portray. 

I'm no stranger to this. Women are no strangers to this. You can see it in our efforts of choosing to buy that salad; our need to buy cosmetic products as a necessity; our outfit choices to hide and enhance. Because you refuse to listen to our pain in the hunger pangs we try to ignore; the unnecessary need to splotch ourselves in chemicals, the stretched scars on our skins from chasing that image of a "perfect" women.

And what of relationships? It's terrifying to see how a value of a woman can be defined by how good she can serve a husband. Its stupid to diminish a woman's integrity by the absence/presence of a male counterpart. If a man can rise and be known of his own accord, why shouldn't a woman too?

Because what I realized in all of our actions is that we never let ourselves speak out. Because we have been conditioned to shut up and take whatever abuse is thrown at us, repercussions at the slightest mumble we dare to utter. Because we have been beaten down to accept the exceptionalism of our X-Y chromosome opposites as the pedestal upon which we should reach. 

Because no one is listening. 

Because a woman's voice has and still is being treated as a mere passing wind in a patriarchal storm. 

I’ve met a many broken souls along the way, and they are so beautiful in the way they stood up time and time again. I had the privilege to meet strong women who suffered through blood-curling pain and come out of it with the strength to still smile and laugh, even as their hearts and body slowly heals. I heard and wept at their stories, and so have many others that they’ve took with them on their journey to tell of what they experienced and what they’ve learned. To me, their stories were like music – I hear understanding, decibels of sorrow and strangled joy that mirrors a version of their pain to women like me, to the voices of the untold.

And thus I asked, are you listening to us, to our cries, to our pleas?

Are you listening to the whispers of mothers, the fury of daughters, the sympathetic fight of our sisters?

Are you listening to the screams of our tortured souls, the demands for justice, the unshakeable stance for those who have fallen at the hands of misogynistic community?

Are you listening to the unborn voices of the female generation for a world that needs to look at equality as an opportunity, and not a competition?

Don’t worry, we will make you listen, one word at a time.
